cep it is awful, the waiting, remember it all too well Sad But hope springs, always and eventually Smile

tigger15 · 05/01/2011 21:04

Thanks for all the regards and support. Have been busy SWI and dh has just suggested we do it again so not much time.

Pink I tried accupuncture and hypnotherapy (separately) and obviously neither worked as I'm still here 22 cycles later but hypnotherapy was good on the relaxation front. Other people swear by both though.

Congratulations Ladybee! I hope this is the one.

mummyls · 05/01/2011 21:14

hi ladies, been reading your stories (not managed all 13 pages but skim read lots!). Hoping someone can help inform me!

I had an erpc (mmc)nearly 4 weeks ago now at 11.5 wks , sac stopped growing at 9.5 weeks, baby at 6/7 wks.

finally got negatve preg test 3 weeks after erpc. I had assumed i couldnt ovulate until preg test was negative- i hav now started bleeding a bit, like start of period. if sothat would mean i had ovulated while still getting positive pregnancy test. is this even possible?

any ideas welcome!
thanks ladies

youremindmeofthebabe · 05/01/2011 21:27

Glad that the pedants amongst us are mostly appeasedGrin
mummyis I don't think it's possible to still be bleeding and ovulate. I did find that in the 5 weeks after my bleeding from erpc stopped I would get patches of bleeding and brown stuff, but when af arrived I knew about it? Iyswim. Welcome, anyway. We chat a lot, don't be shy!
backonce am lolling at your ladygarden comment. pAss me that wine!
mummy woop woop, back on the horse! So to speak, anyway.

Can't remember anything else and cant scroll back, iPhone is a pita. Catch up tomorrow!

youremindmeofthebabe · 05/01/2011 21:30

mummyis I meant still have A positive test and ovulate, I think you have to be neg before ovulating, bit somebody will correct me if i'm wrong!

Yay mummya hurrah for being back in the game!!! Grin Grin

hello and welcome to the madhouse mummyls I'm sorry to hear about your loss Sad and hope you are coping ok. In answer to your question, i would think entirely possible that you haven't ovulated this cycle; I think a lot of people have an anovulatory cycle straight after mc/erpc, your body is basically all over the place so anything can happen. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along in a minute, but I suspect that's what might have happened.

youremindmeofthebabe · 05/01/2011 21:32
kat2504 · 05/01/2011 21:32

tigger it's not called WTF cycle for no reason! I think anything is possible in that first month or so. It took me 2 weeks to get a negative test, ovulated 13 days later (normal cycle one would presume) then had a period 9 days after that. Of course I don't know if I ovulated, but I got an optimistic looking opk. If this turns out to be a proper period for you then you can start tracking your cycle from there. But in the WTF cycle, I wouldn't worry about what is and isn't possible!! Personally, I don't reckon it is possible to be ovulating when your body still thinks it is pregnant. But who knows?

kat2504 · 05/01/2011 21:33

Not tigger sorry!! Meant mummyis.

kat2504 · 05/01/2011 21:35

Also the pregnancy loss info website states that it counts as a proper AF if you have had 20 days no bleeding before hand.

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 21:38

Hi MummyIs Sorry you find yourself here, but welcome.

So its only been a week since your neg preg test? and there is not much blood yet?
It is possible that this is your period. I have heard of more than one lady on these boards who has had an anovulatory cycle post mc (if you chart you can see that ovulation hasnt occured but bleeding occurs because of the drop in estrogen)
The post MC cycle is affectionately know as the WTF cycle on here, as it is completely unpredictable.

I think the clincher is if you have had at least 20 clear days of no bleeding since your ERPC and this bleed. If not it could still be MC recovery, its worth doing another preg test just to check that HCG levels are not rising as described here

mummyls · 05/01/2011 21:45

ah what quick replies ladies! just had time to get a glass of wine and came back to lovely responses!

thanks youremindme. maybe t is just random leftover blood (yuck!) from ERPC then- could be.

Izzy that's really interesting- i hadnt heard about anovulaztory cycles before- off to look it up! yes i am coping well than you- my bst friend just had her baby at 28 weeks. she is doing well but very scary and it actually helped me cope somehow- like if anything bad had happened to her that was somuch worse and i am lucky to have my DS etc. weird i guess. (not belittling sad mc feelings in anyway at all)

tigger ha ha WTF cycle is perfect way to describe it.

i think i might have to just not worry about it. just cant wait for next BFP and want to plan it but cant when i dont know where i am!!

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 21:46

x posts with everyone!

mummyls · 05/01/2011 21:54

hey mummyabroad yes only a week since negative pregnancy test and there has been (i just worked out!) 22 days since erpc bleeding stopped so sounds like a period from all the info you guys have told me i think.

will pick up more pregnancy tests tomorrow( cant keep themin the house- addicted to them!) and do a est to make sure.

have to say there was a bit of me hoping it was some kind of miraculous implantation bleed- how can a normally sensible person become quite bonkers when it comes to all this!

nickstermum · 05/01/2011 22:12

mummyls i didnt ov during my WTF cycle and it was about 6 weeks long. Your body will trick you into thinking it possibly is, and then bam your AF will arrive. She says.... forgetting those who have yes conceived during their WTF! (mouse, caribou) I would probably suggest charting your temperatures.

I have just watched 'pissed and pregnant' if i could have crawled into the telly to dismantle the 16 year old 8 months pg pole dancing a lamp post, whilst guzzling read wine, pissed out of her face & staggering in the gutter i would have!!!! Once i got passed that, it was quite informative Grin

Velvetstocking · 05/01/2011 22:28

Congrats to the bfps and to mummya for joining the list! Internet will be fixed tomoz so I'll be back and posting in earnest then. It's so good to see some cycle 5 bfps. Is it my turn yet?

hadrian · 05/01/2011 22:50

This is crazy stuff, have had to switch from my iPhone to my laptop as my eyes were swimming...it's a full time job keeping up with this thread!

A massive HURRAH to ladybee and to lottie too. Am so totally inspired by all the BFPs that I might say hang it all to the WTF cycle and get in the ov sticks.

Hello to cep and mummyls. I have no idea what happens to our perfectly rational and well-developed minds when it comes to all this but I'm going to try and enjoy the madness.

Today I had a fabulous day of not working thanks to my very understanding GP and went for a long walk, had a make-up lesson in my local beauty salon and made a banana cake. Can I never go back to work please?

hadrian · 05/01/2011 22:58

Oh and a big hug to orange - sounds like you're in exactly the right zen-like place - lots of good signs and positive stories from others. I really hope everything works out.

getawiggleon · 05/01/2011 23:12

Just popped in to mark my spot on this lucky thread! So many BFPs lately - huge, huge congrats to all Grin May your beans all be sticky and snug!

Welcome to the newbies and sorry you find yourself here, esp as you must have been suffering over Xmas and the new year. These ladies are lovely and full of advice, support and chocolate so pull up a seat (but not for too long, hopefully)

I won't even attempt to do individual catch-ups as the thread is huge now but off the top of my head I just wanted to say woop to Mummy you have the patience of a saint, good luck with the swi and I hope you get your bfp soon, fingers crossed for Dachs's eggs and a huge squeeze for orange And also a high five for nicks for getting a bfp after ff rated your performance a 'poor' iirc?

I'll prob just lurk in the MIA list for a while, if that's ok? Funny goings on with the cycle at the mo so I have no idea which cd I'm on - it lengthened by 2 days last month and this month it's looking like I didn't ov til day 16/17 (got pos opk on cd14 and 15) Think Agnus Castus may have buggered things up altered things slightly as I used to ov on cd13. Plenty of swi but think we may have peaked too soon this month (no pun intended!)

getawiggleon · 05/01/2011 23:21

Gah! Have just noticed I posted on page 13 of the lucky thread! Have become ridiculously superstitious since mc (lmp was 13th June with last pg). Also obsessed with magpies at the moment (but those superstitions are probs a whole new thread altogether!)

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 23:23

Hi getawiggle take a load off

love the verb delurk by the way, makes me think of some battle star galatica cloaking device in operation Grin
