LADYB!!!!!!!! I knew it!! Brilliant Brilliant news!! Grin I guess it took having your plan in action with the consultant to make you get pregnant! Very very happy for you after all you've been through!

Big Congrats to Pretty too! Glad to hear you are getting the best of care and monitoring too.

Dach So, if they grew faster at first, then had a slow spurt, does that mean they are growing at about the same time rate overall as last time? Glad DH is doing the right thing, can you send him over to have a word with mine? Wink

I am another one who got it in the neck for listjiggling (even though it wasnt me who suggested it!!!) so I'll just keep quiet...

barrenbrook · 05/01/2011 13:50

Just another oldie poking her head in to say massive congrats to ladybee, owl and my girl pretty. Am still here waiting patiently for my turn Smile Envy Smile

Waves to jolls liking the new improved look lovely! And a big hellloooo to those of you that remember me!

youremindmeofthebabe · 05/01/2011 14:35

Thought I might have a go with the list? deleting a couple of MIA's that I haven't seen since my arrival in May/June and re-ordering. And adding a special recent BFP's section for all our lovely ladies who have BFP's (wooohooo) but aren't ready to grad yet? All to stop jollster's teeth itchingGrin

All complaints within an hour, or I'm doing it anyway!Grin

Nice to see you all, BB jolls and Cariboumoo.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 05/01/2011 15:00

well teeth itching is a nasty complaint! ;)

I have no complaints yrmotb

(I'm beginning to feel like the old lady of the thread now absolutely everyone except me seems to be graduating!)

nickstermum · 05/01/2011 15:03

no no dont do it... YRM only joking!!!

NOW... NO SQUABBLING children.....Grin

dachs you could be graduating this month if your ovaries behave Grin

nice to see some oldies popping back xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/01/2011 15:11

yrmotb just do it!!! I hope everyone knows that's it's an open door here anyway so they can always hop back on.

I've been here since July so also starting to feel like a left-behind oldie (if that helps dachs !) but I'm sure there are some names I've hardly seen...

dachs sorry the scan wasn't more positive, but everythings going in the right direction, fx the higher dose will help x

OrangeGloss · 05/01/2011 15:15

Hi sorry for selfish post and no catchup (again), I just got the blood results, had doubled which is good. But then I had a weird pain like I needed the loo but all around below if you know what I mean? Since then I've had red blood. It seems to be stopping, and the pain is getting better but I'm pretty shaken. Surely this doesn't look good :(

I'd like to come off the list whoever's redoing it, i don't feel like having a BFP when I think I'm on the brink of losing it :(

(((hugs))) for Orange - doubling sounds promising, but clearly is worrying for you having the bleeding. When is your next appointment/scan? Fingers crossed for you sweetheart.

If you would like to be taken out of the BFP section, where would you like to go instead? I was thinking of listjiggling myself to the TTC section. I'm TTC even if DH isn't! If anyone else beats me to it, the info is:

orange fab that youre getting the doubling hcg levels, which is exactly what you need. Can they get you in for another scan, seeing as you are having sharp pain and blood loss? I was getting a lot of cramping at that time, at the same time as the brown loss. It could still be burrowing lovely, Is it coming and going? (((hugs)))

OrangeGloss · 05/01/2011 15:54

My scan's on Monday. The Dr didn't seem overly bothered as the bleeding and pain is stopping. He said it might be my cervix is still sensitive from erpc. It just came on out of nowhere i really thought it was the start of a MC :( DH reckons it was because it was the first time I had relaxed that my muscles went weird Hmm

Sorry to be a bother but could I just not be anywhere on the list at the moment and just be left off? I dont feel like i fit in. Next time, doesn't have to be now

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 15:55

orange sorry to hear you are feeling so freaked out. The doubling really is fantastic news, its not just a "good sign" it really means that your pregnancy is progressing totally normally. Obviously you are going to worry that things could still go wrong at any point, we all would after what we have been through, but RIGHT NOW everything is OK.

Hope you get a scan date soon to give you the reassurance you need. How many weeks are you? Would you consider getting a private scan done?

No need to apologies for selfish posting, Come on here and post as much as you like, we are all here for you. xxx

Hooragh, lovely tidy list, well done all (I feared another lashing so t'was great Jolls suggested and thanks YRMOTB for kicking us off).

I remember you BB Smile one of the first to welcome me ages and ages ago!

How r u getting on missey?

Oh it's lovely that some of the original gang that started this are popping back or perhaps, BB (on the wttc list at the mo)/ Jolls (not on any list) even re-joining the ttc list???

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/01/2011 16:01

(((( orange )))) big hugs, chica, you must be frightened x I know it's scary but bleeding isn't necessarily a problem (hard to believe at the time though I know!). How far along are you? Sometimes you get breakthrough bleeding around time you would normally have af - could it be that?

I think I remember you saying you had booked an appointment - when is that? Any chance you could bring it forward if it's not in next couple of days? xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/01/2011 16:04

X-posts; I see it's Monday. If you're completely freaked out you could look into going private sooner, but at the early stages an extra day or two can make a big difference in terms of what you can see and to put your mind at rest.

Also, as everyone says, the hcg doubling is brilliant x

Wombat33 · 05/01/2011 16:04

Big hugs for Orange I second what Mummya says (she's otherwise known as the oracle around these parts!), doubling HCG is a REALLY good sign. Lots of women have bleeding and their pgs progress fine. I know it's really scary, especially given your history, but I'm keeping everything crossed that you're one of the lucky ones xxx

nickstermum · 05/01/2011 16:04

orange just to mention, you can go directly to EPU and you dont have to go via your gp if you feel s/he isnt being as helpful as s/he could be. MW will ask normally 3 questions and get you in for a scan asap. Im sure you know this already, sorry for repeatingx XXX

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 16:06

Hello BarrenBrook I remember you tooSmile I have been here since June. Perhaps we need an "oldies" section Grin (joke - the new list is lovely)

Choccybick · 05/01/2011 16:21

Ladybee absolutely fantastic news. Wooopwoooop lovely!!!
take it easy!!

Love the shiny new list and thanks to YROTB and Jollster for initiating

Owl fab news for you too dear. :-)

Thanks for all your comments about Biscuit DH and his lack of sensitivity about due date. Suppose that really just is men. Sounds as if you lot have the same problem so thats a bit comforting.

Feeling like a lazy cow today. Went to ikea, diy store and now having a bit of a migraine. Will chillax on the sofa.
No SWI today. I even forgot to take my temp today Shock but its only day 9 so not all is lost.

bye for now

LottieCrump · 05/01/2011 16:22

Hello,

Like Mr Benn I am magically appearing seemingly out of nowhere. Can I just stick my oar in ....

Firstly to those with BFPs that remember me (and those that don't) - huge congrats - wahoo!

And to those still waiting, good luck - keep positive. The rash of BFPs recently are fantastically uplifting.

The reason I've been MIA is because I got a BFP and then freaked out and daren't jinx it by talking as was too terrified (even to come on here) but am now 13+2.

Which brings me on to thirdly. Orange , I don't think we've met so 'hello'. I know that you can Google and/or (probably both) and find stories about 1st trimester bleeding which result in good and bad outcomes. Having literally just come through the first 12 weeks I wanted to say that I had two lots of bleeding and so up to this point have had 4 (yes 4) scans. I had red bleeding at 6 weeks (was scanned) with continuous brown spotting up until 7 weeks when then another heavier red bleed and lost a small clot and so was scanned again. At the second scan, the sonographer said she couldn't really see why by could see a dark patch which was more blood and so 'wouldn't be surprised' if I bled again. Though there was no inference I took this to mean 'you've been here twice in a week, if you bleed again please don't panic, just stay calm . . .and at home'!

When I asked why there was blood/I had bled she said that it could be blood hanging around from implantation and/or that early on when the bean is getting settled in and things are moving/stretching/growing some women bleed a little internally. She said that it's akin to some people bruising easily and others not. She also said to try and stay calm and not over-worry (uh-huh, swimming against the tide.
You've probably read similar stories elsewhere but having been lurking for a while I hoped that my recent first hand experience might at least be empathetic if not a little assuring.
Hope you don't mind.

Waves and quietly leaves again.

Ladybee · 05/01/2011 16:22

Hi again - gawd having you all celebrating is lovely but it sure does make it feel real. I think I've gone back to sit and stare at the stick 20x today.
I called consultant secretary and it seems a bit of hoop jumping is required. Because he only wrote the medication in the letter, not the needing a scan to confirm secretary said I need to referred by gp. Gp isn't there today so have to book a phone consult for tomorrow to get a quick referral to epu for scan and letter to consultant. And around in circles I go @@@

Anyway just goes to show all types of charts can lead to a bfp - mine wasn't jaggedy at all. I did:

  • sex day before ov dip and day of ovulation.
  • b complex vits
  • a few glasses of grapefruit juice pre-ov, and a few glasses of pineapple juice after
  • progesterone cream after ov
  • drank wine, gin, champagne etc throughout cycle
  • lots of chocolate, cake and coffee although mostly decaf as went thru hell cutting caffiene and don't fancy those headaches again
  • no cbfm this cycle
  • charted as normal
  • metformin

I had my usual AF symptoms but was hoping I was heading for bfp and not straitjacket after welling up during peppa pig, and at 3d narnia Grin

Lovely to see you moof, clareanna jolls Grin
