terrys Angry that is such an awful thing for your SIL to do/say?! Some people defy belief. I hope you either tell her to sod off or phone her and sob your heart out and make her realise how out of place her comments were. Of course we all hope you ARE pregnant but that is beside the point. Cheeky mare.

jaggythistle · 19/01/2011 09:54

FFS (i do often swear, unfortunately) what a bloody stupid thing to text you. hope you sent a suitable reply. Angry

completely unrelated to that, i am officially recommending a quickie in the morning before work btw, i haven't been in this good a mood for ages. i am a bit disturbed that i am sharing this with t'internet but it is quite an achievement for my sad wee libido. i am actually contemplating 2 swi in one day for the first time in a very long time. Grin

good luck everybody testing, SWIing and waiting...

Karbea · 19/01/2011 10:02

morning ladies!

i was hoping that charting would make me less stressy during the 2ww but listening to you all I think it might make me worse!

my chart is still dull!

Karbea · 19/01/2011 10:07

Terry that isn't very nice ((hug))

jaggythistle haha! yes I like a little bit of morning activity too, as i'm not ov it was purely recreational, although OH is hoping that his "boys" have special survival techniques that will mean they stay alive over the w/e whilst he is away haha!
Although I did point out that it would be a little odd if I got pregnant whilst he was away haha!! xx

jaggythistle · 19/01/2011 10:19

it was a rare opportunity , as DS was still asleep after being up at night. usually he is running about by the time i leave for work!

i like my sleep too much to wake up specially for activity, DS has been up too much recently.

ravenlocks · 19/01/2011 10:49

terrys what a cow she is!

I would consider a reply such as ?How dare you ask that after what you know we have been through so recently.?

TerrysNo2 · 19/01/2011 11:20

thanks for confirming my disbelief guys, i have told dh to have a word. wont do anythin else though as she just wouldnt have thought. she is a bit dim!

on kindle sorry or apalling sp and grammer. off to germany, assume ill see a new thread when im back on friday.

Truffkin · 19/01/2011 15:26

Goodness Terrys your SiL sounds like a prize idiot for sending a text like that, very insensitive of her! Glad your DH is going to have a word, hopefully a strong one. Have fun in Germany Grin

IWish I'm still a bit Confused by your chart as your temp looks to be very changeable, so the shift post-OV is not as clear as it sometimes can be. Hope FF has got it right and you are in with a good chance this month!

JaggyThistle nice work Wink

Karbea just you wait, every slight change in temp will have you posting on here for opinions, at least charting keeps your mind occupied during the 2WW Grin

jaggythistle · 19/01/2011 15:30

Indeed, Truffkin I am all excited to see if my temp does go up tomorrow or not. You might be addicted too soon Karbea...

Iwish · 19/01/2011 15:54

truffkin I am also a little Confused too but I really hope I have ov'd already, DP is a bit tired of SWI!
How are you today?

terrys hope you have a nice time in Germany.

How is everyone else?

AuntieDoris · 19/01/2011 18:40

Well as expected AF is making an appearance. I knew it was coming but it is it still epically disappointing. Especially as I am feeling so poorly with it :(

Completely on another issue (and before someone tells me I know I am being completely and totally unreasonable) but I am starting to get pissed off with people complaining about struggling to try and conceive babies 3/4/5/6 or whatever. My head just wants to tell them to 'shut up and be grateful'. I know that is unreasonable and if people want another baby then so be it, but it still irritates me!

Iwish · 19/01/2011 19:01

auntied you aren't being unreasonable hun, sometimes I feel the same and just sit there thinking 'I just want the one!' but then I think to myself that they may have had the same trouble trying for #1 but are fighting to concieve #2 etc. The people that annoy me are those who don't want children and get pregnant whilst drunk etc!
Make sure you have a nice glass of wine and a cuddle with your DP xx

weimy · 19/01/2011 20:27

Terrys grr how insensitive!

AuntieDoris sorry AF got you :(

Iwish your temps are much higher than mine and I've got three dogs in bed with me!

I think I have been doing mine wrong, I have been waking between 5 and 6 (habit) and just lying there untill 6.30 then taking my temp because that is what time the dogs get up and the thermometer beeps so if I took it earlier the dogs would wake up. Thats all wrong isn't it?Confused

I have got sore boobs today so am going to jump dp just incase.

hey to all!!!

MrsP81 · 19/01/2011 20:49

raven, sorry you had BFN again this morning. I know exactly what you?re feeling at the moment as I had the same last week. I really hope that it has a happier ending for you and the BFP will show up soon.

mslk your chart looks lovely to me. Your CM suggests you have ovd and once you have a couple more temp rises you?ll get the cross hairs on the chart.

iwish are you cooking?! You?re steadily getting warmer and warmer!

Terrys I can?t believe your SiL said that! Some people are so insensitive. Hope you have a good time in Germany.

Sorry your chart is so frustrating digital.

And sorry that AF got you auntied.

weimy I think that as long as you are consistent in when you take your temps then you will probably still see a decent pattern

Hi to everyone else. CD5 for me and just waiting to shake off the last of AF so I can crack on with the SWI. Smile

Iwish · 19/01/2011 20:52

weimy They are higher than my own temps last month lol, DP must have been wrapping me up in the quilt this month :)
A lot of the time I wake up 6-6:30 and try and go back to sleep till I take my temp at 7, sometimes I cant go back to sleep but just close my eyes and dont move around.

I'm going to jump my DP just in case too. Grin go and get your sexy underwear on hehe! X

Iwish · 19/01/2011 20:55

Hi MrsP. Hope you are ok? Yeh I seem to be cooking, not sure what that means... Hopefully that I will be cooking a bun in the oven this month! :)

MrsP81 · 19/01/2011 20:59

I'm ok thanks iwish. Yes, I think maybe you're preheating the oven ready to start cooking the bun! Fingers crossed for you.

Iwish · 19/01/2011 21:10

Lol thanks MrsP. I hope this month is your month, you will be SWI before you know it :) x

Truffkin · 19/01/2011 22:53

Hi IWish I'm ok thanks. I must admit to sometimes doing what you have mentioned and stay still with my eyes closed for a while longer before taking my temp! I do this most mornings so am fairly comfortable that it doesn't mess with my chart! Am off for my spa treat tomorrow so am hoping that AF buggers off overnight to really put the cherry on the cake. Have lots of lovely treatments planned as well as food, wine and girlie catch up times - perfect!

AuntieD really sorry you are finding things so difficult at the moment but glad your DP is good at the TLC. I do know what you mean about feeling that little bit of envy when people already have children but I do wonder if it makes it even harder when you know how great it is to be a parent and are struggling to conceive again.

I mentioned about my SiL and how easily she had conceived and I didn't want people to think I was being flippant. She conceived their first DC within 8 weeks of trying and was upset to the point of crying when hey didn't get pregnant on month one. I know from this site that the first cycle is often a hard disappointment for lots of a people. DC2 was conceived a few months earlier than they had planned 'by mistake' (Grin with 1 C already they clearly know how babies are made!) and DC3 (current pregnancy) they were pregnant within 5 weeks of deciding to TTC again. Seriously, I'm not sure they even have to have sex to conceive, I think they just look at each other in a specific way and whoosh, she's up the duff! I'm happy for them and our nephew and niece are great but my BiL and SiL are the least sensitive people in the world and often make comments about why we've not had children yet. Even when I tried to subtly put them off by saying 'not everyone finds it as easy to magic up a pregnancy' they still go on about it fairly often. Still, we manage to laugh about it on reflection and we can at least enjoy all the child free perks that they have left behind (especially having a lie in together, they can never do that)

Right, that turned into a bit of a mammoth post. Sorry ladies, feel free to skip past my ramblings!

jaggythistle · 20/01/2011 05:46

oops. temperature is up, but not that much. was maybe just practice swi yesterday. Blush

truffkin it does feel kind of different ttc a second baby to me. i was really lucky and conceived very quickly after coming off the pill, so although I'm only on cycle 4, it's twice as long as last time!

i had set myself up for it to take a lot longer 1st time around, i think i am much more impatient this time. i do have DS to distract me, he does derail swi a bit too sometimes though! :)

I've never been the type to interrogate people about their plans, but i see it all the time. i work on a big site and every other day someone asks about DS and how old he is now. 99% of them follow it with 'oh, you'll be having another one soon then' or something. you can't just tell them you're already trying your best can you?!

people don't really think, i haven't had any experience of ttc long term (yet) so i can't imagine how hard it is to listen to so much insensitive waffling after lots of months.

oops, waffled a bit!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 20/01/2011 06:41

Morning all. On train to London so quick post. Sorry for not posting much, am mad busy.

Congrats to Pippa wow. Am v envious! But congrats and hope all goes well.

I hope you can help me ladies. For the past 4 cycles I have ov later and later (cd 23-27) and ALWAYS got EWCM for about 3 days+
I am on cd 21 and DP and I have been swi but not much as I have no EWCM. I have put watery in ff but I'm not even 100% sure it wasn't just creamy.
Anyhoo. temps been much more consistent this cycle - putting it down to acupuncture - and all set for lots of swi from about today onwards and bloody ff gone and given me cross hairs for cd15!!!!!!

I cannot believe it. Surely my temps are too low. Coverline very low too, below alot of my temps.

If I have ov, by sheer luck, we SWI on the day of ov but even so, i reckon I'll be out this cycle. Plus this means next cycles days are all messed up. DP and I are away with work seperately alot but ov anytime after cd20 worked out but not if i've ov cd15 :(

Bugger,

chart here for what it's worth

Would ff give solid cross hairs and change them if temps go down? Circle on todays temp due to temping at 4.30am as that was time I had to get up for the train!!

Waves to all - sorry not to name check - train very rocky and I'm not a good traveller!

Good morning charters!

Well, I got a BFP!!! 0 Shock M Smile G Grin!!

Temp climbed again this morning and used my second CB ditigal from the 2 pack and it said 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks'. So happy and so relieved. Was starting to think it might never happed.

No symptoms atall.

As we have been trying for 9 cycles I had progressively done more and more to try to get pregnant.

This is what I did recently though which I think did it (or maybe it was just our turn?!):

  • EPO, I had been taking for 2 cycles
  • DH had been taking Zinc supplements for 2 cycles
  • We used "concieve plus" - first time we had tired it was this month and we used it for every SWI
  • DH and I had both given up alchohol for 2 months (bar Xmas and New Year where we allowed ourselves some)
  • I joined charters anon thread - that has defo brought me some luck

My chart

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 20/01/2011 06:56

Go Raven go Raven!!!!!

MrsA - FF might change her mind if your temps come down. Agree the coverline looks oddd, I thought the same about my chart this cycle. That was a big old temp jump on CD16. But from the looks of your over charts you do sometimes get this pre-Ov. Are you doing OPKs this cycle? If not, maybe start now for the next few days and keep SWIing until latest day you have ovd (CD27?) and look out for a +ve OPK. Even if you did ov CD15 you are in with a chance with flukey timed SWI!

jaggy keep enjoying the SWI!

truffkin - that sounds lovely, have loads of fun at the spa with the girls.

MrsP hope it is your turn this cycle. Mother nature owes you one after last cycle!

Hi everyone else.

Fx for a sticky bean for me as they say.

ravenlocks · 20/01/2011 06:58

Cross post MarsA - thanks!!
