Nix last time when I mc I did one of those tests at what I thought was 6 + weeks and only got a '2-3 weeks' come up - so yes, I reckon a 3+ is def. a good sign.

ladybee sometimes I try every 36 hours in an effort to vary things and not tire him out too much...so say, early Mon morning, Tuesday night, Weds off, early Thurs morning..that way it doesn't get too samey too quickly and we get the odd day off without ne feeling like I'm missing huge gaps >. Requires very early wakening some days sp as not to be interrupted by the munchkins though.

baubles I'm not loving cycle 5 either, but also drinking my way through it. AF is due just before NYE so at least if she shows I can have a good boozy night...

Am also planning major detox for Jan though...anyone else joining me and baubles ?

I'll join you Izz! My AF will be due on 3 Jan, so I'm going to test on NYE morning and if it's BFN, I'm going to allow myself to drink over NY and for the duration of my AF and then detox for the rest of Jan. What do you think my chances are of getting DH to join me on the detox?!

Baubles I have no idea what I'm getting for Chritmas! DH was/is going to buy me a lovely warm coat but we haven't found one yet and I'm not fancying my chances of making it to the shops between now and Xmas eve! He says he's got some other little bits for me, so I'll be making do with those. We were supposed to be having 'Christmas' yesterday with my family because we're due to be at PIL for 'proper' christmas, but the snow stopped anyone getting to us so I'm not going to have those to open on the morning. Still, 'twill mean Xmas goes on for longer!! No bad thing What are you hoping to get??

Have been being a lurky lurker lately as I had a massive meltdown last week (in front of everyone at work, v v embarrassing, wouldn't recommend it) and have been trying to avoid all things baby related for a few days.

Then DH has his work Xmas party last Thursday and ended up falling asleep on the tube, missed the last train home and had to get a taxi from the depths of North London to Berkshire, where he arrived at 3am. Me not happy. Took great delight in getting him up at 6.30 the following morning and making him get ready for work. (I had the day as holiday). He felt so bad about it that I managed to get him to buy me an iPad as a guilt present at the weekend

Trying to feel more festive and positive this week. All those with fresh BFPs I hope they stick, I'm with all those who can't wait to see the back of the misery of 2010. Bring on 2011 and may it be full of sickness, bloating, cramps and squalling infants for all of us

Nix not so much of a BFP as a "if you squint hard enough, at the right angle, in the right light" positive - am going to test later on this week and hope for something a bit more concrete! Ha that reminds me - this month I kept all of the evil shag dictator sticks and glued them onto a piece of cardboard to monitor whether the other line gradually changes over time to warn of an impending peak (it doesn't unfortunately). My mum came to stay and was in the house by herself while I was at work and luckily I had hidden my peestick project well away out of sight because when I came back she'd been on a house tidying mission!!!! Agh, can you imagine what she would have made of that??!?! First of all I don't think she would know what they were so would assume that I've been peeing on preg tests every day and had therefore comopletely gone out of my mind....

I can imagine the frustration of a DH that's out of the country all the time and then addicted to a PC game when he's not!!! Could you try wearing some fruity undies and then dance around by the PC to distract him?????? Izz I am well impressed with pre-DC waking up SWI, that truly is commitment! ladybee I second every other day - much more likely to avoid burn out and I reckon I means that whenever you chuck an egg out, there will be a nice batch of swimmers ready and waiting!

My DH's been feeling ill too - I've managed to perk him up using flapjack though which is a bit of a result, especially since they sneakily contain a shedload of dates and assorted healthy stuff mixed in with all the sugar and butter......

No further cm it's clear, none since first episode this morn . Who knows where the nausea has gone to? Hopefully masked by feeling so rotten !

pink glad the revenge waking up sounds as good to someone else as it felt to me! Colleagues v understanding about meltdown, especially a couple of them who really looked after me. Although now they all think I'm a psychotic head case and keep looking at me strangely.

oooh was in shops earlier today, the evil superdrug lured me with two for one on their cheapo tests. So now I have a total of five tests stockpiled even though I promised to keep off them till New Year's Eve.

pink yeah if you look at all the sticks in my bathroom and you didn't know they were cbfms, the uninitiated in ttc would see a line of what they thought were preg tests too. Obviously lining them up is ultra-scientific. The whole purpose of the shag dictator is that you don't need to study the lines, the monitor does that for you! That never stops me though :)
Definitely not ready for xmas round here. Not helped by the fact that Amazon Santa refuses to deliver on time. Despite the fact I paid extra delivery. Bit of a catch 22 cos internet can't deliver and snow makes going to the shops myself a hellish experience.

I have my ClearBlue Digital which dh has confiscated until tomorrow morning, so am hoping I make it that far most if my office is snowed in but lucky me walks to work so gets to go in to a virtually empty office :(

I don't know pink, you have only had highs for ten days po. The positive test would suggest it but to my inexperienced eye the temps wouldn't if that makes sense? 18 highs is a pg isn't it?

I know a line is a line etc and you can get a false negative but not a false positive sonow I am confused! Sorry not helpful

It's amazing what you find out when you do discuss it isn't it? I know several of my relatives have mc that I never knew before, friends' mums, friends, still such a taboo subject and that's such a shame. Dachs I hope you feel better and you feel you have their support now xx
