Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Velvet was sorry to read your post you seem so down. Just wanted to chip in that I know for a fact that you can ovulate late, get pregnant and go on to have a healthy baby because it happened to me. With DD I didn't stop using contraception til CD22 and so know for a fact conceived after that though was not paying much attention to ovulation signs at that time (that's all changed now though!)

So, please don't give up hope it can and will happen for you, sending lots of positive vibes your way and in the direction of anyone else that needs them right now.

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 09/12/2010 11:54

Nix I am really glad you have got a nice GP, sound like they are going to look after you! xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 09/12/2010 12:24

nix glad the appt went well, everything sounds very reassuring Xmas Smile

velvet please don't get down, I often ov late too, although the acu's helping with that. Sometimes it's been day 23 and I know from subsequent dating scans (wasn't temping at the time) that ds was conceived on day 24 out of 28!

Also i'm sure I read somewhere that most women only have 10 out of 12ish ovulatory cycles a year, so as llong as most are ok, the odd ovulatory one isn't unusual.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 09/12/2010 12:55

velvet seconding Izz i have Ov day 23+ before also, and also had cycles which were annovulatory. You are ov, that is clear from last months cycle temps but i totally get the disappointment and frustration. Stay strong x

I went back to see the nurse for my swab late morning and she said that given my history they would def get me in for an early scan - if we get that far of course. Oh yes they also moved my dates to 6+5 which is not possible due to long 36 day cycle,ov on day 19 so will be battling with them moving forward as i am 5+2

Extra special message for Pinkie. Hope you are doing ok lovely, fab to hear you have ZEN and i hope its doing you good to take a break xxx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 09/12/2010 14:35

Just the last couple of really fiddly bits to do then its done - HOORAH finally, only taken me..... 2 months!

How boring to have done ALL shopping online and not gone to trafford centre where its all jolly and merry! DUll but...convenient and..... efficient!! Must try and find a decent grotto for DS as the one from last year was rubbish (chill factor) any tips in the north west anyone!?

Tamashii · 09/12/2010 19:20

Hello ladies.
I've not managed to read the whole thread yet but wanted to jump back in with both feet because I was on the TTC April/May bus when I had early MC and decided to give up completely for a while. Anyway, we're TTC again now since I'm over 35 now and things aint looking like they will get financially better in the next few years so if we don't start TTC again now, we never will.

Anyway, I can't handle this on my own again so thought it would be nice to get some virtual back up and advice as well as major hand holding... Be gentle with me!

On a more technical note, do I just start again and call this cycle 1 since MC? If so, here are my stats. We'd been trying for some months before MC so :( and anxious again.

Tamashii TTC#2,Cycle 1 after MC UCL 33-35 CD 22

ChoccybicksXmasShortbread · 09/12/2010 19:25

Hi Ladies

my eyes look shit today, never mind being shut.Grin
Feeling really sick again so have been home in bed all day.
Need to have some rest. Suppose no luck for BFP this month.

Big waves to everyone!!!
hope to pop back tomorrow and catch up

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 09/12/2010 19:58

Evening ...aaaaaaaaacchooooo!!
I am full of cold. And so, apparently, was the rest of my train. There was so much sniffing and snuffling and sneezing I would be very surprised if the absentee rate didn't rocket tomorrow.

As much as I hate to be predictable in these things, AF did indeed rock up over night and greeted me right on schedule when my temp finally ducked under the cover line this morning. So there we are. There is a small amount of bitterness that this cycle didn't work, because we did quite well (for us) on the SWI front and it would have been nice to have a conceived a baby on my birthday and have it due on DH's birthday. But it's not to be (as if I would be that lucky Hmm). I'm debating still whether to temp and pee stick this month or just rely on FF's stats and take it a bit more easy this month seeing it's Christmas & New Year and all.
At least I don't have to come up with any excuses for the work parties etc

So updating the list:

Tamashii have slotted you in - welcome! How long did it take you to conceive your first pregnancy? I'm really sorry for your loss, it sounds like you've taken a good amount of time to think about things and decide to carry on. Good luck with it and here's hoping you have just a short visit stay (meant in the kindest possible way).

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 09/12/2010 20:14

Oh poo! I missed pink!
Lovely to see you popping in m'dear and that book sounds v interesting. Care to share any snippets?

Right, now that my own lunacy wait is over, I can focus in on the rest of you...sooooo....

Anyone got any sneaky inklings? Come on, let's not be scared, let's indulge in full on symptom spotting, even if it's all for nought it's good to get excited about the potential & possibilities that lurk within you ladies.

TunnocksT?
knitter?
GetDown?

And how are the new joiners - I hope all the talk of ttc and witty banter isn't feeling too jarring while you're still early days after your losses. Please do feel free to come on and wail or rant if you are in need of letting it out or just want people to know what is going on with you. It's a hard place to be in, but we all remember and are here with warm hugs and sympathetic squeezes when you need us.

You may think, from all the above, that I have been attacking my christmas wine order. You are wrong, however I think I might be just about to go open a bottle while I reheat a readymeal make dinner.

The arrival of AF does need some compensations. Grin

Tamashii · 09/12/2010 20:26

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
I'm not sure how long it to TTC our DS. He came along as a bit of a surprise straight after my first MC. We had been TTC for maybe 6 months then decided to get OPK kit and while I was waiting for AF so I could start with the OPK kit I found out I was PG the first time.

Not so much luck this time though. Sometimes I think we are stressing over it too much but itis IMPOSSIBLE not to isn't it.

As we always say, you spend you whole life from teenage years trying NOT to get pregnant then when you start trying it's not as easy as your parents seemed to hammer into you!

Good luck to everyone

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 09/12/2010 20:56

Thanks MummyB and Lady for taking a look at my chart. I thought ov had happened on cd 14 as well but then got confused as it's not as high a temp as I had pre-mc and started to doubt myself. Must think positive thoughts. OV on cd 14 would be ace as I had loads of swi around that time so at least there is a vague chance of success Grin

Hello Tamashii It is certainly true that we put an awful lot of effort into not getting pregnant and then when we actually want to it seems to be far harder then we thought! Sods law

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 09/12/2010 20:56

that was supposed to be Hmm

MamaChristmas · 09/12/2010 21:42

Bless you LadyB!! Sorry AF got you. I must say that me and dh have made a monumental effort this cycle so like you will be extra peeved if she shows up in 2 weeks!

Hi Tamashii Sorry you are here and hopefully not for too long.

Been busy tonight milking my 5 mins of fame for all it was worth!! Go check out the Photo and link on my facebook page (the actual article was found by Choccy, thank you and you are feeling a little better too x), the picture was of me and my mutt (you can't even tell it's me because of the amount of layers of clothes) but more importantly it was a stunning picture taken by the press of Tuesdays Hoar Frost.

Izzy and all Take That fans including you closet fans (ummm, I suspect there are a few around), tickets on sale at 10 am tomorrow morning for the extra dates.

Waves to everyone else Xmas Smile

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 09/12/2010 21:45

Welcome Tamashii Smile

Emoo · 09/12/2010 23:02

Thanks all for your kind comments. I hope you are all correct about my DH and his not wanting to try again, that it's just a short-term readjustment... but unfortunately I think that's being over-hopeful. He seems very negative about everything at the minute, and I'm talking long-term environmental and medium-term political (thinks the current situation/future too horrible to consider bringing a child into), not to mention the fact that we are both getting on a bit and didn't have the easiest time with EmooChick, conceiving again, and now the MC.

I'm trying to readjust my expectations, but I'm still feeling very empty. Just offloading to you people helps greatly. I've got friends in RL I can speak to, but I guess everyone feels so powerless to help or say the right thing, so I don't want to over-burden them. I am trying to give DH a break and not talk about it for a while, but it's occupying my every thought (ok, maybe alternate thoughts with chocolate), and it's difficult.

On the brighter side, I at least now have my BFN, and I've met up with a heavily pregnant good friend and didn't feel negative at all. However, I have changed departments at work, and now have 2 new colleagues at 18 and 35 weeks pregnant, and I struggle to hold a proper conversation with them because I keep looking at their bumps thinking "that should be me".

Glad you have all survived the snow...!

Kat, Loola, wombat, Ladybee - sorry it wasn't your month this time round, and fingers crossed for the next.

Nix - glad things are all okay with beanie.

inbetweener - sorry to hear about your fall and DH being an arse, but congrats on your wriggling prawn!

Dachsching - (((((((hugs))))))) to you. Keeping fingers crossed for the next cycle.

MummyB - glad you got back safe and sound, and congrats on the period!

Good luck to orange, A&R, Hiding, baubles and anyone else in the 2WW.

MamaC - hope the pub search is going well. EEagerly awaiting further details!.

MouseBacon - congrats!

Mamafoof, Jules, Tamashii - sorry to see you here, but welcome all the same. I'm not around as much as the others, but they are all lovely and very helpful.

Velvet - I've had several really long cycles in the past that were clearly affected by stress, where I got temp rises about 2 days after the stressful event. Examples would be a job interview. Background "normal" stress seems to make no difference though. Might that apply to you?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 07:52

Morning all!

Hello to tamashii and welcome to the thread - hope your stay here is short for all the right reasons x

nix and mummya hope the decorating is going well - sometimes it's good to have a project to focus on as a distraction to ttc/early pg; keeps you sane! I've been moaning about extreme workload this last week but it has stopped me obsessing quite so much (although also stopped swi-ing, it's cd9 now so I must get my arse into gear!!)

ladybee sorry you've fallen back to the bottom
of the list Sad. You sound very positive about it though, fx for this cycle.

emoo good to hear from you again lovely, just give it some time, and maybe in the new year you'll be able to talk it over again with some space behind you and sort it out x

well no chance of going to acu or yoga today as dd still off school, but have ordered a copy of pink's new zen bible to try to get my weekly dose. The upside of having to cancel everything is of course that I get to sit over the computer from 10am manically trying to get TT tickets - just not sure whether to try for London or Manchester. Where are you going for mamac ?

youremindmeofthebaubles · 10/12/2010 09:03

Hi tamashii and welcome!Xmas Smile

WEll my lovelies. 8dpo today and xmas do at work tonight. Didn't poas as too early and I can't stand the crushing disappointment yet, so will just go and do everything in moderation. I have a party to attend afterwards too, with all my other buddies which starts at 11pm Xmas Shock Luckily I am staying out and dp is taking ds to his sisters, otherwise I'd be knackered for a month!

Good luck with the TT tickets izz. Try Ents24, that's where mine are from. Somebody else reccomended the ticketmaster ireland website, think www.ticketmaster.ie . HTH

nix I have never come accross a decent grotto yet. where in nw are you?

ladybee you are indeed correct, Af does have a couple of benefits. Or maybe only one. But at least it's a good one.

velvet are you ok?

pretty are you out there? Hope you're loving the new job, and your life is a social whirlwind Xmas Smile

waves to all, the big thaw is beginning here! WE may yet get out on DS's bike!

youremindmeofthebaubles · 10/12/2010 09:06

Sorry, I meant to say sorry emoo. Hugs for you. It's still early days though.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 10/12/2010 09:10

Morning all

hope everyone is good and ready for the weekend.

Got a busy day as leaving mums and going home so gonna go and do some cleaning before I take dd with me. Got my scan on thur to check everything came away from mc two weeks ago, do you think I need someone to go with me? Not really sure who to ask, dh cantcome due to work, mum doesn't know (it was dads funeral tues), brother and his wife had been really good but they've gone back to being bonkers again.

Anyway speak later x

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 10:10

mamac get on Ticketmaster.ie if you haven't had any luck yet - I got my tickets by 10.08!!!

I am a happy bunny Xmas Grin

Emoo · 10/12/2010 10:13

DaddysGirl, I would take someone with you if you can. Chances are it will all be fine, especially if the bleeding has all settled. But I guess you have to be prepared for the possibility that there is something left, in which case they might want a decision from you about whether you want to wait and see, or have ERPC to get it out. I guess if you can cope with decision-making on your own, and if the scan room isn't going to freak you out, you'll be okay to go on your own. But I've been through this a couple of weeks ago, and was glad I had someone with me just for company in the hospital where I got the bad news.

Anyone free to look at my chart? It looks like this cycle is going to be anovulatory anyway. I've not had one of these before. What do you think?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 10:14

daddysgirl hmmm that's tricky, how would you feel about going alone? Can dh definitely not get time off work - we were lucky in that dh's work were very good about it. Failing that do you have any good friends who could go with you?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 10:24

emoo it does look annovulatory to my untrained eye...however I don't think that's anything to worry about unless it's happening every month x
