Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Hi velvet. Sorry you are feeling rubbish at the moment.

Clearly this is the day of confused charting. Usually mine goes up on cd14-15 and then stays over 70ish. This month it seems to have started to drop again before it even reached the usual 70. I'm probably just over thinking it, there are bound to be weird things going on first real cycle after mc I suppose. I just want it all to be normal again!

I'm afraid I can't say anything helpful about yours as I really don't know much about it. I'm sure someone will have some good advice soon though Smile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 08/12/2010 19:50

mummy not certain i am past chem pg stage (5+2) have gotten quite a bit of pressure downstairs and cervix is low. Will see... can only hope and tbh today has been the first non busy day i have had to sit and think about it!! I wanted to resume temping as i thought it would tell me for sure if it wasnt viable.

Sorry you are miserable velvet, hmm,, is your chart saying you havent yet ov'd? or is your thermometre faulty. I dont quite know what to comment! Sorry not very helpful, am i.

I also am very impressed with your speedy decorating skills! DH is refusing to put up the christmas tree until the wallpapering is finished upstairs... again, commonly known as Dick Head Xmas Grin

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 08/12/2010 20:07

Velvet looks like you are still pre-ov to me, what about giving FF even more data? Have you tried checking your cervix and using OPK's?

Hiding oooh its all different! I find it a bit hard to read to be honest, where are the days? I think you may have ovulated around day 14 (am counting the dots!) but you would need one more high temp to confirm that. Do you also record CM? That might help pinpoint if you did ov or not. Does this software inform you if it thinks you have ov'd? (like FF)

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 08/12/2010 20:08

Hi all -

Velvet to me it looks like you haven't ovulated yet chick. It's a bit hard to tell though, looks like you've got a thermometer that only goes to 1 decimal place? It may be that small variations are being rounded down up or down too much that we're not seeing a difference. But to my eye it looks anovulatory so far. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, I think you've got a due date coming up don't you? Sad but maybe take the pressure off, shag whenever and see what eventuates?

Hiding you look like you ovulated on day 13, FF would probably draw the line on day 14. The fall back is absolutely normal for me, there is (apparently) a bit of a surge of estrogen around 4 dpo which can push the temps back down. They'll probably head back up over the next few days and then (hopefully) plummet somewhere around day 8-10 as something implants.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 08/12/2010 20:18

Thanks mummybells, yes had mc 4/5 days before test. Do you mean I can do some testing at home? Not quite up to date with the lingo yet.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 08/12/2010 20:19

Also how quickly would it go down? What would it be normally if not pg?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 08/12/2010 20:37

velvet I can't see ov yet - maybe it's late this month or as ladybee says if you're using a 1dec place thermometer that might explain it...

nix sending sticky vibes your way, remember the post-mc paranoia is clouding your judgment - every twinge is going to be scary but it doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong. Keeping fx for you - now go badger the mw for an early scan!!!

Sorry for brief post - sicky dd combined with work overload and big hearing coming up on Monday means I've been having to catch up with work in evenings, nights, whenever I can, and now I'm knackered with a huge stress headache Sad. This is, oddly enough, the same case I was stressing over so much when I lost the baby, returned to haunt me just before my due date...it's becoming my nemesis and I'll just be so bloody glad when it's over

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 08/12/2010 20:48

Hi DaddysGirl

normally not pregnant = less than 5, so you are very nearly there.Smile Its takes different amounts of time for different women for the HCG level to come down, but also depends on how advanced the pregnancy was.

Using a home pregnancy test (HPT- sorry about all the lingo, I dont realise how much I use!)is completely unscientific, but might help give you some piece of mind/useful information. If you use a normal home pregnancy test, this would test for an HCG of about 30 (but read the packet, some extra sensitive ones test for less than this amount) So if you tested positive you would know your HCG went up from 18.

The digital ones also tell you how many weeks pregnant you are so you might be able to get more info from them. (hopefully see the weeks going down)

When is your scan? Hope you are not waiting too long for answers xxx

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 08/12/2010 20:51

Nix sorry you're having a wobble, I do remember a lot of mucous and cramping early on (and then just a lot of mucous most of the way).

Sorry, I'm dashing off - I've got work I HAVE to get done tonight or I'll miss a deadline and that wouldn't go down well.

Am also attempting to ignore the fact that I tested this morning at 12dpo (according to FF) and it was BFN Sad. Still, I'm pleased I'm actually at 12 dpo. I've been averaging 10-11 luteal phases, which isn't necessarily bad, but I'm pleased to get the extra day with temps still just above coverline and no AF yet.
She will very likely rock up tonight or tomorrow.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 08/12/2010 21:20

Waves at izzy.

Thanks for that mummy, got my scan a week tomorrow can't believe how long everything takes.

youremindmeofthebaubles · 08/12/2010 21:28

velvet I would agree with all the others. Is this your first temping month?

I am definitely day 26 mamac so will see what tunnocks says and adjust then.

daddys that seems low to me. Post-erpc I didn't get a neg HPT until at least 10 days after. So I wouldn't worry.

nix((())) Try not to worry. Funny mucous could be anything from old implant blood, to bruised cervix and so on. Easier said than done?

I have a works xmas do on friday. As will only be 8dpo will have to take my chances. Not drinking isn't really an option (cos i's a lush), So twill have to be in moderation.

ladybeen sorry to hear that.((hugs)). You sound relatively ok though, and 12 days for a LP is very reasonable!

izzy sounds like you've got a load on. When is the due date again?(sorry for shit memory)Is dd just vommy?

waves to all you lovely peeps, and a welcome to jules Love ya's and leave ya's. I have an appointment with my bed...

Velvetstocking · 08/12/2010 21:50

Thanks everyone. FF did tell me I ovd on day 15 then changed its mind yesterday. As you know, I had already given up so you guys agreeing that you dont think I have ov'd this month tells me that this whole ttc thing isnt going to work out for me and I have actually had and lost my lucky break :(

MamaChristmas · 08/12/2010 22:17

Velvet don't give up yet chick. I ov really late in a 25 day cycle and you are only on CD 22 of a UCL of 35, so you could ov any time in the next 3 days and still have a 10 day luteal phase (although as I have said before mine is only 8 days but because the progesterone is rising post ov there seems to be medical consensus this is not an issue)! All is not lost, keep temping and get some CB Ov pee sticks! Also, just a note about temping, I can't temp because I am an insomniac, they do say that it won't work if you have disturbed sleep and my chart did look like a scatter graph! Is there anything that could be affecting your recordings? Big hugs xxx

Velvetstocking · 08/12/2010 22:21

MamaC thanks for that but I dont actually have a UCL - 35 is a random number to go with my random cycles but I havent had one longer than 42 days so its not looking good.

MamaChristmas · 08/12/2010 22:34

Oh bugger! Have you been to the GP? There has to be some tests to help them establish if there is a problem, diagnose and offer you some appropriate management!

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 08/12/2010 22:57

Velvet - I am so sorry that you are feeling low, and that we have added to the stress with our chart interpretations! I hope I dont upset you further with what I am about to say, I debated writing it before, but when I first looked at your chart I did think it looked very much like the PCOS charts in TCOYF. but then I saw your previous chart was totally normal, so I thought maybe you were just oving late as a one off. Have you had testing for PCOS? Do you get EGCM lots of times during the month? Do you get a lot of postives on OPK's? How long have you been TTC now?

If you do have it, bear in mind that LOADS of women with it conceive and have trouble free pregnancies without treatment. Also, if you want help with TTC you can be treated with metaformin, I think LadyB is on it and may be able to advise? If you do have it, the it would be much better for you to just have regular sex as much as you can throughout the month rather than get stressed out trying to pinpoint ov.

I hope I havent upset your further saying all this, or just rattling on about stuff you already know... anyway, big squeeze from me, it sounds like you are feeling really low about this xxx

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 08/12/2010 23:01

Velvet/MamaC The test would be a blood test done on Day 2 of your cycle to look at the ratio of LH to FSH (3:1 or higher is an indicator of PCOS) GP's will offer the test if you have been TTC more than a year so dont forget to fib but insanely if you have had mc, that means you CAN get pregnant so are not eligible for the test!!

(Another loophole might be to say you have not had any periods, they will then run the same hormone tests to see why. A sympathetic GP will do it after 3 months, but others only after 6)

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 09/12/2010 06:17

Hello all just a quick de-lurk to say I'm doing ok and have been avidly reading "the baby making bible"by Emma cannon - it is amazing and is 100% responsible for the new wave of zen that has come over me!!! It's about ttc from a Chinese medicine point of view so a bit hippy dippy but seems to make lots of sense.

Sorry no time for shout outs as should be getting ready for work but I'm still planning on just lurking for a while if that's ok by you all and wanted to give a special wave to my twinnie nickers. Here is what my book says; "it's vital to keep hope in your heart and not let fear creep in. None of us knows what's round the corner, we can only ever truly be in the moment. You need to keep the strong image of holding your baby or your pregnant bump-hold it really firmly in your mind and allow yourself to feel hope." i don't know if that helps but I'm sorry you're having a shit time honey, try and stay strong xx

HUGE hugs to you all, you are all lovely and I hope you're all doing ok. I'll pop in from time to time if that's ok? Xxxx

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 09/12/2010 06:19

Also velvet HUGS I too have a pretty weird and scary chart. I've found the pee sticks helpful though to try and see what's going on and I think a 2 dp thermo helps-I got mine from boots. I'm getting hormone tests next month ( or month after if af comes for Christmas) so will let you know how much it costs privately xxxx

youremindmeofthebaubles · 09/12/2010 08:48

velvet ((hugs)) have you not been quite stressed this month with excess work, impending due date etc? I don't think one anovulatory cycle is unusual, it is the overall pattern, and as mummya* says, the last month was fine. Please try not to worry. And you can well not ovulate till late, I ov'd day 20 this month, and last month was a 40 day month, so I probably didn't ov then till day 27ish.

Hope you're feeling ok, buddy x

orestyemerrywombat · 09/12/2010 09:36

(((Hugs))) to Velvet and hello to lurker Pink.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 09/12/2010 09:48

GP was fine. Took blood for chick pox immunity. I have a bacterial imbalance internally which i was swabbed for pre pg. Have to go back for a re-swab today, its recurrent so its a thing i have to deal with even post abs. He was re-assuring about the gloop/absence of it. The pressure may be my rubbish pelvic floor muscles, very reassuring, any probs he will get me into EPu and to look out for acute pain or blood.and he booked me my first antenatal apt. Says not to fret about recurrent blighted ovum as he has never seen recurrent one, only recurrent MC. So right now as at this morning i am diffed.
(may be not tomorrow, but today i am!) Xmas Grin

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 09/12/2010 09:51

on a plus the gloop seems to be back and i have had the slightest nausea in the night and this morning..... roll on sickness... i want it NOW!

orestyemerrywombat · 09/12/2010 10:42
