Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Howdy all!

So, where is inbetweener? I hope it is such good news she is over come with joy and hasn't had a chance to check in with us yet. Fx

I completely buggered up my temps this morning by having a coughing fit and downing a glass of water just before I took it. Cue lots of early morning swearing and very confused dp thinking I was dieing or something. not what the poor dear needs first thing in the morning Xmas Grin

UrbanHolly · 06/12/2010 22:31

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 06/12/2010 23:16

Yep I am panicking about christmas big time, my relative are flying out in just over a week and all I have to do is paint the house, organise 2 beach trips, prepare christmas dinner for 20 people etc etc... Confused

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 06/12/2010 23:33

We have DD1 big birthday bash on Saturday where in a fit pique over the 'outsourced' birthdays we have been attending recently I have opted for a completely homemade party in freezing temps on our site complete with 20 smalls (I always forget that the 8 kids I invited all have attached siblings!) and attendant parents, an open fire and a pinata which seems to have morphed into an alien creature (was going for a koala then decided it would be completely non-pc to bash a koala with wooden spoons) What have I let myself in for - as soon as this is over Christmas panic will set in as we invariably end up having three or so Christmases due to divorced in-laws and visiting friends - arghhhh - but I loveeeee it.

Beach trips - ahhh the memories of Christmas in a warm climate. Good luck painting MummyE

DontEatOrangeSnow · 07/12/2010 06:50

Morning everyone

dachs it's good news that you don't have to wait ages for your next try, :( about eggs but sounds like there are success stories. Do you have a date yet?

urban glad to hear you're doing ok, I can imagine time is going slowww

Waves to nix hope your bean is comfy :)

AandR sounds amazing Envy save us some cake!

Well, I'm on my first 2ww and freaking out a bit. My new PT at the gym said it would be 'unusual' to get pg straight away, so now have given up hope and feel silly for being hopeful. And the only symptoms I have a a bit bigger boobs and diarrhoea which I'm pretty sure isn't even a pg symptom! Sorry to be so down, think it's cos dh is away [wistful emoticon]

inbetweener · 07/12/2010 10:20

Hello all, I am so sorry I didnt get back on yesterday. DH and I ended up going to Tesco after picking up the kids from school and it went on for ages ! Then when I got home I just felt so ill I threw up everywhere and went to bed Blush
Still I suppose I had better get used to it as I saw a heartbeat yesterday Grin. I have been redated to 7 weeks and 2 days so have gone back a bit ! But I saw a little wriggling prawn with a heartbeat so am quietly chuffed !
Am due on the 24th July which is later then we thought, its actually the start of the 2011 summer holidays lol.
Only one baby but fingers crossed it looks ok.
My 12 week scan appt has been booked for the 6th jan too !!
Still havent told a single soul except you guys. I am actually scared to tell work I dont know why but will wait till after the scan I think. I think im embarresed cos its number three and somehow after such a long gap number three seems terribly silly/self indulgent I dont know, i cant explain.
Anyway, its all ok except for the worst nausea I have ever experienced. Thanks for listening Grin

youremindmeofthebaubles · 07/12/2010 10:41

Sorry you're feeling under the weather Orange but I'm very impressed you're still working out - my enthusiasm seems to have dwindled somewhat with the temperature :)

snowysunchild · 07/12/2010 11:17

Great news inbetweeener have been popping to see if you'd updated :) Very happy for you :o

Hi to everyone else! We are stuck in cos of the snow for the 2nd week. Really starting to get pissed off about it now. Hey ho!

loola2shu · 07/12/2010 11:49

Woohooo brilliant news inbetweeneer !!! Really pleased for you!

xxx

MamaChristmas · 07/12/2010 12:00

Phew! Inbetweener great news, now kick back, relax and enjoy! x

hairyfairylights · 07/12/2010 12:33

hello everyone - will catch up properly later (and try and work out who is who with all the lovely Christmassy names!).

I can be put on to the TTC list I think. I am still not right emotionally, and we will probably not 'full on try' - ie: timing etc, but I think I am ovulating, and we are not using precautions!

Am off to see the acupuncturist on Sat and have counselling appointment on Weds - and hopefully another wailing crying and begging session appointment at GP on Friday.

Still not back at work and not ready to either.

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 07/12/2010 13:39

inbetweener Lovely news!!!! GrinGrinGrin- I mean the heartbeat, not the sickness, poor you.

urban its all cloudy here, so there is obviously only a finite source of sunshine. When we get some more I will chuck some over Smile

loolu I would start as soon as poss if I were you, it takes a bit of getting used to, so the earlier you start the more practice you are getting in, and the more data you have got to work with. PS if you are signing up for the first time, if you do it through someone elses recommendation you both get 5 free VIP days. I bought a years worth of VIP, so does anyone else want to post a link for loolu?

hairy welcome back to the list Smile cant wait to join you on it! Might sound stupid but i am fed up of being in enforced WTTC. I have been itching to get on for ages! Good luck for your counselling apoint. hope you get lots from it. xxx

Orange Me and DH scored two "hole in ones" as it were, its not that unusual to get pregnant on the first shot. FX for you. xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 07/12/2010 13:52

loola if you haven't already joined here's a link to my chart so we can share some free VIP stuff - I optimistically only bought 90 days worth but they're fast running out and it looks like I'm here for the long haul!!

inbetweener fab fab news, hope you're feeling a little bit more reassured now. That must have been lovely Xmas Smile

hairy welcome back - hope you're ok, and that the combined effort of acupuncture/gp/counselling helps. Don't rush back to work - no point, just take your time x

aandrmum party sounds fab (hard work, but fab). Hope you all have a great time!

mummybells when do you stop the hrt/ have coil out? Does everything seem ok now?

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 07/12/2010 13:59

Morning Izz

Yeah, I feel OK thanks, my period has stopped quite abruptly after 3 days of heavy flow, which I think is pretty good. I think the abrupt stop is to do with resuming oestrogen (I had to stop while bleeding) So my first period post op has been great - I would have been worried had it been very light.

I have 4 more week of HRT, so there is no point temping this month (lucky, as I left my themometer in England doh! Now I know why Nix found it hard with all the travelling she does) And the coil can come out at the end of the HRT.

The big dilema though is finding a new gynecologist. I am not going back to Mr Vaginal Rejuvination, as he may have been the one responsible for giving me the AS! Plus I just want a functioning vagina, not a rejuvinated one.Grin

Mamafoof · 07/12/2010 14:41

Hi Ladies

Been lurking on this thread and thinking what a lovely bunch you all are and am now brave enough to junp onboard if you don't mind? Xmas Smile

I had a miscarriage at 5-6 weeks last month. I have a dd who has just turned one and was breastfeeding so didn't expect to get pg so soon but we conceived first time and then I MC'd 5-6 weeks later. Not sure if it had anything to do with my hormones not being up to scratch as had never had a proper af before I got the bfp.....but to be honest, I can speculate forever as there are other ladies who get pg whilst bfing and don't have periods and still have healthy pgs! Envy

Anyway, I think I'm going to wait till I get my first af before trying again. Still not sure whether to wait longer than that as couldn't bear the heartache again but not sure I have the patience!

Congrats to *inbetweener" - wonderful news and am so pleased to see that all was well Smile.

Look forward to hearing about more bfps soon! Wink

orestyemerrywombat · 07/12/2010 14:53

Hi Izzy, Urban, Sunchild, Loola welcome back Hairy, Xmas Grin [frgin] Mummya at "Mr Vaginal Rejuvination" Xmas Grin.

And last but not least, welocme to Mamafoof so sorry you find yourself here but hope your stay will be short and happy.

Mamafoof · 07/12/2010 15:17

Thanks orestyemerrywombat!

Did anyone here TTC before their first af came back? Have a sudden burst to dtd tonight and have all the signs that I am ovulating but should I just wait till next month (as per instructions from dr....but isn't that just for dating reasons?? Confused

grateful for your thoughts!

orestyemerrywombat · 07/12/2010 15:29

Foof we started again as soon as the bleeding had stopped. you're right it's mainly for dating but as Mummya will tell you - it also helps you to be sure the MC is complete. Have you had a scan/neg preg test post MC to confirm it's all over? Otherwise there is a [small] isk there can be some retained tissue and this could cause confusion with whether or not a future BFP is a 'real' one or not.

Mamafoof · 07/12/2010 15:34

Thanks very much merrywombat. I had a negative test and body "seems" to be back to normal. So many friends have announced their pgs and I just feel left behind so wanted to start trying to at least feel that we were doing something but equally, worried it will happen again. Got a bit lost on this post earlier Confused but was wondering what your story was if you don't mind me asking? Thanks again for your speedy response and wish you all the best! xx

orestyemerrywombat · 07/12/2010 15:44

Glad your body seems to be getting back to normal. That's very positive! My story is started ttc in July, got pg straight away but MC naturally in Sept at 7 wks. Started trying again straight away but no luck yet :) Other factors mean we've got higher than average chances of things going wrong next time round too, which adds to the pressure, but I'm trying [and mostly failing!]] to stay positive about it. Would love three, or more, and am already 31 so have a secret hope for twins Xmas Wink Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 07/12/2010 15:51

Hi mamafoof so sorry you're here Sad but welcome to the thread x

The thing about waiting for first AF is just for dating unless you've been given a specific reason - I checked with the nurse and surgeon before leaving hospital after my ERPC. I think it all comes down to how you feel and where you are emotionally. I didn't wait but not sure I was ready emotionally; it was quite a relief when AF arrived in a strange way. Then again, i'm now 5 months on with no bfp (yet!) so would probably have been kicking myself if I'd "wasted" a month!!

Btw my story is that I'm trying for #3, I have a ds aged 7 and dd aged 4. Had a mmc picked up at 16 week appt in July (baby had stopped growing at 14 weeks). I hope you're doing ok and don't have to stay here too long!

mummybells good luck with the gynae, i have to say ideally I would like a functional AND rejuvenated vagina, but if I had to choose I guess I'd go with working...
