Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

inbetweener · 06/12/2010 12:41

hello all,
Am at my desk at work clock watching until 2pm !!! My appointment is just over the other side of my hospital so will dash there quickly. I havent said anythng to anyone at work yet but am paranoid they have looked me up on the system to see what I am having appts for !! Its very easy to do here ! Blush

Amm feeling ok, bit nauseaus but mainly feel like my tummy is full. To make matters worse I fell over this morning in the ice and snow taking the girls to school. I did the classic feet in the air straight down on my bum HARD !!! Was very embarressing and has juts given me one more bloody thing to worry about !
Also had a horrid day yesterday as I did nothing but row with dh as he stayed in bed till 11;30 and then when he did get up he put some crappy music on extra loud and was basically juts being irritating. God that sounds lame, i think I was in the wrong yesterday Blush. Anyway, will let you know. Thanks for thinking of me x

DachshingThroTheSnow · 06/12/2010 12:52

So the doc said I can have another go on my next cycle. Xmas Smile

But she also said the the eggs they got last time were low quality for my age and that this could be a problem :(

So now I'm gutted and feel like a complete failure. DH was sweet about it but it still means it's looking less and less likely that it will ever happen for us.

So I'm relying on you guys to populate the list with lots of Xmas BFPs, 'cos it's not going to be me providing one. [fbear]

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 06/12/2010 13:09

inbetweener as much as it feels like they are only just precariously lodged beans are actually incredibly hardy little beasts and can withstand all sorts of slips - poor bum though - makes you wish you wore a nappy sometimes - hmmm [hconfused] [hgrin] Good luck for 2pm. I rolled once when I was 8 months pregnant with DD2 - one minute I was chatting to DH and the next I was in the gutter, nickers on display to one and all and unable to get up. Poor DH didn't know whether to chase DD1 rolling down the street in the buggy or pick heavily pregnant wife up. I couldn't even blame ice - it was in August!!!

((((Dachs)))) good news on being able to try again next cycle. Crap re egg quality but it is just a guess on their part as to what your eggs will be like this time. My DSis had crap eggs on IVF and is now having number 2 naturally - no issues at all.

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 06/12/2010 13:09

oops still stuck in halloween mode - that should have been Xmas Confused Xmas Grin

appleblossoms · 06/12/2010 13:41

Just popping in to say hurray for AF mummya what a relief!! So glad everything's looking up for you...here's hoping for a beautiful month of charting with a lovely AF at the end...and then no more for at least 9 months! [hwink]

Great news about IVF dachs ...glad you're getting another chance. I agree with dancer (love the chrissmassy names by the way!) that the next batch of eggys could be super quality. I have my fingers crossed for you!!

and inbetweener, am thinking of you lovely. Good luck this afternoon... hoping for some good news for you!

big waves to everyone else.

orestyemerrywombat · 06/12/2010 14:01

YeY Dachs glad they are letting you go again next cycle that's fab news!! (((Hugs))) about the gg quality comment but I'm keeping everything crossed that next time you'll get a good'un.

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 06/12/2010 15:51

baubles - charts looking good (if a bit mental!), what an amazing temp hike!!! Let's hope it stays up!

wombat sorry she got you Sad. There's a few of us working our way back up the list from the bottom now, the law of averages says one or two of us should get lucky this month!

dachs great that you get another shot straight away...I know you're disappointed re the egg comment though - big (((hugs))) coming your way. Remember it only takes one good one! I thought I read somewhere royal jelly is good for egg quality (disclaimer: no scientific basis for that whatsoever as far as I know, but sometimes it helps to do something )

inbetweener - how did the scan go? Hope you're ok xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 06/12/2010 17:16

YEY dachs thats good news about another attempt :) IVF is cumulative isnt it....? Chances of conception increase with each go. MY friend was told it was likely she would never conceive (eggs & elevated FSH), but now has a daughter, so never say never x

baubles that chart is looking fab Xmas Grin
Fab temp hike and definitive OV so thats great! Re pox, bless him he is struggling a bit. DH has gone out and got allsorts! calendula, chamomile, in the veined hope he is allowed to smother him!! Piriton in his milk tonight i think Xmas Sad just to give a bit of relief from it. Nasty me is away tonight, but will be back for a cuddle tomorrow night.

AR knickers on display, you HUSSEY Xmas Grin

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 06/12/2010 17:56

baubles I agree with Niks, great looking chart. What is the wheel though, thats the first time I have seen it. Isnt it pretty? and how do i get one? Xmas Envy

dach great news on the IVF cycle. I imagine you are all pysched up for it after the last one, so much better to keep going rather than have a 6 month break. I think the royal jelly is a good idea too, I dont have any science either but have come to believe that egg quality must be related to diet and lifestyle, just as sperm quality is, how else can all the fluctations in our cycles be explained?

I have now increased my daily vitamin intake to an absolutely insanely large amount.Blush

I am on:
multi vitamin
flaxseed oil
evening primrose oil
vitamin E
Red Raspberry leaf
folic acid
bromelain
baby aspirin

but I have dropped the Red Clover Blossom and have an unopened bottle of Agnus Castus.

Anyone else feel like confessing their list (go on it will make me feel better Xmas Grin)

A&R owch!

apples nice to see you! how are you feeling?

I'll be back later to find out how you got on inbetweener FX

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 06/12/2010 18:11

Go on then mummybells I'll confess! At the minute I'm on:

Pregnacare conception (there's my folic acid)
Evening primrose oil (up to ov)
Omega 3
vit B complex
vit B6 (100mg)
Royal jelly
Spirulina
Hemp protein
Floradix (sporadically, when I remember)

I also have a half-finished bottle of bee pollen tablets that I gave up on because I couldn't remember why I was taking them Blush

All this from someone who used to laugh at vitamins and supplements and couldn't swallow a tablet without being sick. How times change...

So, spill the beans, what am I missing out on with the vit E, flax seed oil, red raspberry leaf and bromelain?!!

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 06/12/2010 18:27

Thanks Izz I suspected I wasnt the only one with a brimming medicine cupboard!

Actually those three are AS stuff as is the baby asprin.
The vit E is to reduce scarring, the red rasberry leaf to tone the uterus (and prevent scarring) and the bromelain, which is the active ingredient in pineapples, is to thicken the lining, and the baby aspirin is to thin the blood and supposedly help the lining build too, though there are conflicting studies on that one.

The flaxseed is just veggie omega 3.

I think I was responsible for you buying the bee pollen Blush whoops sorry. I have also dropped it from the list as I googled it one day and was very disapointed, just seems like a big con.

So your turn, can you explain the spirulina, hemp and floradix? xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 06/12/2010 18:43

Hemp is just veggie protein supplement, recommended by acupuncturist (think she thinks I need more protein -maybe because I'm veggie - probably
should switch to your flax seed oil Xmas Smile )

Spirulina is from some sort of algae, good for protein too but also energy, essential fatty stuff and (I think) hormone balance.

Floradix is plant-based iron supplement.

I think I may have got carried away with it all

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 06/12/2010 19:28

I want some algae and protein supplements now! I am veggie too.

MamaChristmas · 06/12/2010 19:29

Dachs, good news on the IVF front and if it's of any comfort, they told a friend of mine the very same in May...she has twins in the oven now!

betweener I hope everything went well for you today xxxxxx
nicks I didn't have any symptoms till well in to my 6th week, it's really hard not to freak out....I've been all over the place...x

well I had my 2nd scan today didn't start well as they had absolutly no record of my appointment, recepionist got very confused with due dates as I was still on records for my last pg so had to tell her in front of everyone (small reception) I'd mc that pg......argggggh!
But good news little heart beating away increased in size from 10.9 mm to 20.5 in 11 days quite impressive I thought... Although he gave us good odds on this one I will not be 100% happy till i have a bundle safe in my arms....which I'm sure you all understand. When I think back to my 1st pg OMG how I sailed through without a care in the world.... Totally ignorant to how blessed and lucky I was......
My next appointment is in 6 weeks seems like an eternity!
Anyway just to let you all know I still check in every evening to see how you are all doing you really are amazing ladies so strong.... Keeping everything crossed for you all xxxx

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 06/12/2010 21:27
