By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

Miffles · 19/11/2010 17:18

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

You guys really are the sweetest.

Loving the "in other news" NMCB. Chortle.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 23/11/2010 16:24

Glad my reluctant bowel is keeping you all in giggles. That really is how sad my life is right now (although at least I can't time mine like someone else TTL

takethatlady · 23/11/2010 16:52

Thanks for making me Grin nmcb

Just threw up at work and had to come home, so was feeling sorry for myself.

Might start timing pukes now too Smile

SingingMog · 23/11/2010 18:30

Is a good idea Miffles, but I am a bit scared about checking the position of my cervix. How can you do it without actually putting your hand up there? I think touching it myself might make me faint... (I have a phobia, but not like McKeith)!

My unplanned lessons were OK, as I have trusty scheme of work so just looked at Learning Objectives and did them. We're doing a musical production of Roald Dahl's Little Red Riding Hood with all the Year 8 classes, so I mainly did that all day! I have a fun but busy job Grin

Glad about NMCB's poo, but not about all the others finding child poo around Grin Only have to deal with cat poo here, which I don't think is as bad from my limited experience Smile

Hope you stop puking soon TTL.

I feel normal today except for sore boobs. Am not impressed. Drinking a glass of wine to improve my mood Grin

Miffles · 23/11/2010 19:29

Your job sounds amazing mog!!! I'd love to do acting and singing and dancing again.

Actually. I was never much good.

But I'm on my third glass of wine and it sounds such fun right now! Figured I might as well enjoy the benfits of the BFN....and DH is refusing a holiday or treat away cos of cash. So it leaves getting drunk!!

How about we have a thread stage production? Can I wear a sequinned outfit and prance across the stage? I'd sing....."Don't stop beliving" (Glee version)

OP posts:
vallinnapod · 23/11/2010 19:50

OMG - Miffles I got tickets to see Glee in London in June next year Smile

Miffles · 23/11/2010 19:54

No way!!! I didn't realise they were touring! That'd be amaxing! Envy at Vallinaa for Glee tickets and Envy at TTL for Take That tickets.

OP posts:
vallinnapod · 23/11/2010 20:16

Miffles you may not be too late. The tickets go on sale tomorrow (got mine through American Express early booking). There are 2 dates in London and 2 in Manchester!

Miffles · 23/11/2010 20:33

How? I've got Amex too....

Truffkin · 23/11/2010 23:03

Hi viroids, amusing catch up on today's (mainly poo-themed!) chat so thanks for that Grin

My temp dropped this morning so looks like I was very far ahead of myself with the 'should I / shouldn't I' debate. Annoying that ERTD will be here over the weekend as was hoping to make the most of our nice hotel Wink but at least I'm lucky enough to have easy periods so I don't have to deal with pain and nasty side effects. There is the bright side I'm trying to focus on Smile

twowoulddo · 23/11/2010 23:30

Hi all, gosh I can't keep up!

miffles glad to see your chin is up. I am not at the point of exploring further options but can entirely related to the feelings.

What the feck is ERTD?! Hmm

I am CD31 and this morning peed in a ramekin ready to dip and then when I wiped, red feckiness. Although, it wasn't exactly red. Didn't take much notice and bunged the femmecup in. Took it out tonight and was empty. Did a cheapie but BFN.

Am HUGELY hormonal and expect my dilemma will be solved tomorrow but this has been accomapnied by major cramping like never before and is like end of period.

Grrrr

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 24/11/2010 07:52

Morning viroids!

Um...BFP, anyone?

Blush Shock Grin

takethatlady · 24/11/2010 08:14

Sorry for feckers and potential feckers 2wd and truff.

darkstar!!! Grin Shock Grin

Congratulations! What happened? How any DPO are you?

takethatlady · 24/11/2010 08:16

Oh, also forgot to say to miffles - weekend away visiting uni friends. DH was still on a school trip so it was me and three of them. So it wasn't romantic, but we did go ice skating at the London Eye which was fun. It was lovely to see them, too - told them about the pregnancy and they were great :)

JosieSmith1 · 24/11/2010 08:46

Morning everyone. Just a quick hello, will try and catch up once I'm home tonight.

Having an awful time at work and yard, really stressed out so won't bring the thread down. Basically, work is horrific and senior is implying that she has loads to do and that we don't so I'm really struggling to be civil, but after yesterday when I was rushed off my feet and everyone else had to do most of my work I thought she would realise just how busy I am, but no, she still thinks she's busier than everyone. Tempers are slightly frayed tbh.

I can't get on to the new yard, and my second choice, which isn't great but would have done temporarily, filled up yesterday so I'm feeling very fragile at the moment. I even had a glass of wine (well champagne actually as it's all we have) last night.

DH stepped up to the mark though and we've given it a good go this month, even got EWCM (sorry if TMI Blush) so fingers crossed something might go right for us this month.

vallinnapod · 24/11/2010 08:47

WOOOHOOO!! Congrats DarkStar!!

Miffles - I get these 'preferred seating' marketing emails through regularly - have a look on their site and see if you need to sign up.

Scannage and blods at 10am for me Smile

vallinnapod · 24/11/2010 08:48

Might even have bloods...intrigued by 'blods' though...

takethatlady · 24/11/2010 09:08

Oooh good luck for the bloods and scan vallinna :)

Sorry you're having such a tough time josie but yay for snottage, shaggage and the fact you only have champagne in your house! We only have puke in ours at the moment Wink

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 24/11/2010 10:05

Good luck for your scan etc. vallinna, will be thinking of you :)

Josie that sucks, you sound like you're having a nightmare :( Hopefully you can lose yourself in shagging - I always find it an excellent stress reliever (once I've overcome the stress enough to get in the mood in the first place Hmm).

ttl think I'm about 12DPO - am on CD23 of an average 25 day cycle. For the second morning running I dreamed about taking a test and it being positive, so thought I might as well. And there it was! I am going out for a massive piss up on Friday night so was going to test anyway, just to make sure I knew whether to drink or not. Have had bloodhound nose for days, super tired etc. plus the spotting so was suspicious.

However, I did just scrape someone's car at the petrol garage Blush Feel so ashamed of myself. I was very flustered and it was completely my fault. Think it's only paint damage as she was parked and I was reversing (badly) out of a badly parked spot, so not going at any speed. But I feel like a twat anyway. Just sobbed down the phone at DH while he reassured me Blush

takethatlady · 24/11/2010 10:20

Oh darkstar don't worry about that. I crunched our car against our neighbour's car the other week - I have over an hour to drive home from work and I was so pleased to be home I didn't park properly. Happens to us all! Blame it on the preggo hormones Wink

Congrats again! Have you told DH yet?

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 24/11/2010 10:46

lol, yes - he said 'oh my god, really?' with a slight look of horror, then cheered up and said 'in a good way, obviously!' Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 24/11/2010 10:57

aDarkStar!!! Congratulations!!!

Vallinna How did it go with the scan and bloods? (I have totally forgotten how that icecream flavour should be spelt now! - the V one not the blod one)

vallinnapod · 24/11/2010 11:45

Ha ha NMCB - the nickname comes from me saying it this way when I was younger!

Scan showed nada really today. Lining 3.7 (needs to get to mid-teens I believe) and ovaries as bubbly as normal for PCOs but with no real growers. Will be called tonight if they want me to up the Puregon, if not I stay on 50 with scans/bloods on Friday. Not sure if this is good/bad/indifferent Confused

milanomum · 24/11/2010 13:35

DarkStar Hurrah!!!! :) :) :)

Miffles - don't give up just yet - it's not over till the red lady sings...

Truffs - Glad you are being positive!

vallinna how confusing for you! Hopefully Friday will show something more positive.

Josie Sorry you are having a crap time at work. Any chance of speaking to the woman and explaining how much you have to do and just tell her politely to leave you alone!?

I am very at the moment so not really about much. Hopefully it's PMT and i can just get on with the next cycle. Bah humbug.

escapeartist · 24/11/2010 17:13

Hello everyone! I am back after having posted a brief introduction on last thread. You guys still rock - THE best thread on any forum I have read so far. And... you might be able to help...

DH has been away for work for 3 months (!!) which has made JSing and TTC a bit difficult obviously. He is back on Friday (yay yay - no guesses what we will be doing this weekend!) and I think I might be OVing as well. Have never used opk's before (and I know they are against thread rules... promise I will not use them again!) but I bought some last time I was in England (live in Greece at the moment) from Tesco's, as they were so much cheaper than ones in Greece and thought I might use them at some point. That was 5 months ago, before DH went away.
Well... I never used them and now I opened one and I am not sure how to use. I remember when to test, but not sure how to. Err... pee on, or dip? How long? And... eerr which way in (coloured side in or the other side?)Confused

Sorry for massive post - wonder if anyone can help... Blush
