By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

Miffles · 19/11/2010 17:18

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Ha ha ha at Mr Nickel. We've all been there when we'd rather they just focused on the job in hand!!! Grin

OP posts:
Miffles · 11/01/2011 10:24

(not the job "in hand" as such, more the task they're undertaking!)

BamBam21 · 11/01/2011 10:25

LOL Nickel! They get so proud of their little chaps don't they! Grin

Just finished the interview. It was really informal. Now have to wait and see if I will get invited for a proper interview.

BrassicaBabe · 11/01/2011 10:35

Morning lovelies

Yeah vallinna for the pod and heartbeat! You must be thrilled. Although I was secretly hoping you would share in my twin madness! Wink Quite enjoyed your conception chat too Grin

Thank heavens for the spotting/bleeding making an exit takethat! The lengths you will go to for another stealth scan! Grin

Welcome bambam It's nice to have some newbies join us. Embrace the mentalness!

What happened to crackpot? Is she diffed already Grin

Glad everything is well milano Smile

to everyone else

Guys, have you got any tips for getting rid of thrush? DH and I seem to be ping-ponging it back and forth between us even though we think it's gone. Blush I'm using the pessaries, he's using the cream. We think it's gone, then it flares up again.

Who is next to test?! It's been a while since we've had a good test-fest!

Drove home last night with my boob hanging out.GrinGrin Oh, you need an explaination?! Does anyone get painful nips when it's cold? I mean R-E-A-L-L-Y painful? I've had this from time to time, probably due to AF cycles. Sometimes when I get cold my nips get so painful I could cry. Normally I rub them furiously (over my clothes) hoping that the friction will warm them up and stop the pain. Well, since getting knocked up it seems to be happening every couple of days. The pain is nearly enough to make me cry. And it seems to last about 30 mins after a blast of cold air. Well, it happened last night as I was driving home. I tried rubbing and it just didn't help. I could feel the material of my bra against my boob and it was agony. So I had an idea. I flopped my boob out from my bra and top, hidden under my coat Blush so that there was no material was touching my boob and drove home! Grin It's a good job I didn't have an accident! GrinBlush

nickelbabyjesus · 11/01/2011 10:39

Grin BB.

vallinnapod · 11/01/2011 10:41

Bambam hope the interview went well!

BB - YES! I have the sorest nips, especially in the cold!!

takethatlady · 11/01/2011 11:28

PMSL at you lot with your sore nips and 4am stiffies Grin Grin. bb I also nearly crashed this morning due to unusual nipple behaviour ... mine didn't hurt, but the right one was itching something chronic. Had to try and take my coat off on the motorway, then unzip my top which got stuck half way down, to put my hand under and scratch ... there was a lot of no-hands driving going on, but I didn't crash Confused

No more unusual body-part activity over here though, you big bunch of weirdos Smile

BamBam21 · 11/01/2011 11:32

Hi BB. You have my sympathy on the sore nipples. Do you maybe need to get re-measured for a bra, to give yourself plenty of room? Smile

Vallinna- the interview was fine thanks. I will find out in the next couple of days if I have another one. I don't really want the job, but we are running out of cash.

V. sore boobs, and feeling really emotional. Think it's PMS. Sad

Miffles · 11/01/2011 11:39

Ooo...boobs out of bras and much scratching going on. Sounds intriguing!! Poor things. My sister has complained of sore nips in the cold now she's pg.

Bambam - i get sore boobs before AF as well. For a while thought it was pg symptom, but I'm wiser now and won't be fooled!! Glad the interview went ok even if you don't really want it. Money is kinda important!

OP posts:
BamBam21 · 11/01/2011 11:44

I fooled myself for many months that it might be a preg symptom Miffles, but now I think I'll only get excited if I have no symptoms at all!

PMSL over your hands-free driving boob action TTL! Grin

vallinnapod · 11/01/2011 11:56

We are going to have to stop with the boob talk. I am at work and have just had to nip (pardon the pun) to the ladies to free my girls and give them a good scratch...well as much as I can when it feels like the slightest pressure will make my nipples explode!

Miffles · 11/01/2011 12:12

free my girls

nickelbabyjesus · 11/01/2011 12:20

We have to decide who'll start the new thread (only 36 posts left)

Can someone make a graduate list on the end of this one so whoever starts the new one can get it right? Wink

Miffles · 11/01/2011 12:40

Good idea, cos it has got confusing!

For the record, I'm NOT a graduate!!

Err....Vallinna, Singingmog Have we had others as well?

OP posts:
NoMoreChocBiscuits · 11/01/2011 13:07

My name is NMCB and last night as I moved a cushion about to get comfy on the couch, it grazed one nipple for about half a second. It felt like I'd taken to the poor thing with a sheet of course sand paper! And I was fully dressed.

vallinnapod · 11/01/2011 13:08

:( help me out here. Worried I am bleeding a little. :(

TMI - can't really be sure as my Cyclogest pessary, ermmm, works itself out during the day - normally bright white discharge. Today it is beige.

I realise this sounds really trivial and that I am worrying about something that isn't there to worry about yet :(

Just needed to...share I guess :(

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 11/01/2011 13:09
nickelbabysnatcher · 11/01/2011 13:16

vallinna don't panic.

I can't give any advice, but get yourself a warm drink (not tea), asit down and wait for a bit.

I can offer [hugs]

BamBam21 · 11/01/2011 13:18

Oh Vallinna I have no idea about Cyclogest pessaries, but I am sending you a hug now. Try to stay calm. Could you maybe give your midwife/doctor a wee call? They really wouldn't mind, and it would be worth it for your peace of mind.

takethatlady · 11/01/2011 13:21

Oh vallinna I know I am a big fat hypocrite for saying this but try not to worry. It sounds like different-coloured discharge, which is totally normal ... mine varies from magnolia to custard cream (to use a recent thread item) on a daily basis, and custard creams are definitely beige. I have read up about this a lot and it's definitely normal - might be your extra pregnancy discharge mixed in with the pessary?

Also I had a pink wipe when I was about 5 1/2 weeks pregnant, but then just the variable discharge until 14+5, when I had 10 days of brown spotting (and I mean dark reddish-brown), pink wiping, and occasional bright red blood. Every time I spoke to anyone at all they said that unless it is heavy, red and accompanied by cramps it is most likely normal.

If it carries on through the day I'd say ring your MW or your clinic for reassurance, but I'm 99% sure it's just pregnancy goo :)

takethatlady · 11/01/2011 13:23

PS - for me, it was normal. It's all stopped now and I'm still pregnant (I think).

One really piece of good advice I got from the delivery unit was that it's rare for a mc to start with the brown blood thing - it's much more likely you'd just start with the heavy red bleeding (as I did with the chemical pregnancy at 4+2. Went to the loo, there it was, loads of red blood). So bear that in mind too ...

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 11/01/2011 13:25

Sounds like you've been standing to close to TTL Vallinna try not to worry unless it turns bright pink. And fret away at us as much as you like/need to, cos that's what we're here for.

takethatlady · 11/01/2011 13:37

Oi! Grin

vallinnapod · 11/01/2011 13:45

Cheers lovelies Grin

I am 99% sure it is just complete paranoia!

Can't wait to be over 6 weeks (did I mention I counted from the wrong point and yesterday I went from 6+1 back to 5+4?! You count from transfer not collection apparently) as I think I am right in remembering risks decrease a bit after that and then continue to decrease?

takethatlady · 11/01/2011 13:48

Yep, think so. But you've had a scan and the baby is properly implanted so your odds are getting better and better day by day :)
