By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

Miffles · 19/11/2010 17:18

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Evening viroids. Thought I'd drop in to brag about share my true JS weekend. Got drink last night. A gin, followed by half a bottle of champers, then half a bottle of Chablis. And a couple of ports to was it all down with. Went to bed at 2am, had a great shag then promptly rolled over and fell out of bed Blush Grin. woke up hungover at about 8, had another shag then back to sleep till 10. Hurrah Grin. I hope you are all proud of me :)

I have also eaten pate, unpasteurised cheese, lobster, rare steak and lots of other things I couldn't eat if I was preggo (depending on which rules you use Wink).

Back home tomorrow. Kisses and hugs to all you lovely ladies

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/11/2010 20:48

That's the spirit Nelly! Grin Sounds great, mucho shagging Envy and all that lovely food. It's a far cry from my weekend so far: DH away, wracked with back pain, waiting on a Chinese takeaway for one Grin

milanomum · 20/11/2010 21:40

Hello luvvies! sorry but I've been sucked into RL this week and haven't had the time or energy to get on t'internet much.

Nelly I'm very impressed with the drunken shag-fest, have a gold star!

For those suffering from constipation you need to STOP eating raw carrots, rice, apples, potatoes and bread for a bit and eat pears, prunes, courgettes, dried apricots, spinach and broccoli or stuff like that. Trust me. It works Blush.

sleepycaz fingers crossed. I went through the same thing just last month but my hormone levels, the day before the bleeding started were right for the amount of weeks I 'should' have been - all very confusing, but I hope it works out for you!

I have nothing to report. But that's the problem - NOTHING, nada. No signs of ovulation, no sore boobs (post-ovulation...bah. I'm on CD22 FFS!

santababy2b · 20/11/2010 21:56

Hello ladies, had a very relaxing weekend with lots of wine. Shelled out a fortune for some new shag capes and the jsing for this cycle is off to a flying start! Grin

It seems all very calm at the moment. Only another 5 days and I will be joining the 2ww madness.

Hope everyone is having a good one. :)

santababy2b · 20/11/2010 21:57

p.s. Milanomum the thread kipper will get you for ruling yourself out at cd22!

Eskarina · 20/11/2010 23:46

Wow Nelly I am in awe of your escapades this weekend. I have no such excitement to report. My OPK's have been stubbornly negative so DH has not been put in the awkward position of having to perform with his IL's in the next room. Blush I have been spotting though, which could be a sign that ovulation might take place in the next day or week Hmm and Confused
But of course we don't care about that because we are, of course, just shagging and seeing if anything happens, honestly.... Grin

Oh, and I have sore boobs. What's that about? No ovulation yet, so can't even pretend it's a pg symptom.

SleepyCaz · 21/11/2010 00:23

Anybody up?

I'm at boody work, ugh. Nicked a test and did it, line darker, but took aaaaaaaaaages to come up. Getting odd twinges every now and again.

Just wish I knew what was going on. :(

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 08:31

I'm up. 5am this morning was met with a chorus of 'downstaiiiiiirrrssssss.......Daddyyyyy.....downstaiiiirsss'

So yes, we're up Grin

Be kind to yourself Caz. What are you doing at work at that time of night?

SleepyCaz · 21/11/2010 08:49

Hello Darkstar.

Hahaha, early morning choruses are a regular occurence here too.

Just finished work and am home.

Work nights, finish at 8am.

Bed soon though, hurray! :)

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 18:17

Hope you've been enjoying a well-earned rest Caz :)

In true thread spirit, here's my contribution to 2ww madness. I give you the rundown of my possible pg symptoms:

POSSIBLES

  1. had a few specks of dark brown blood in my pants yesterday and today - never normally have spotting (period due next weekend)

  2. feel nauseous on and off the last few days

  3. have had lots of strange crampy feelings in lower belly

  4. am completely exhausted

  5. ditto completely absentminded

OTHER EXPLANATIONS

  1. could be anything really

  2. have had weird episode of puking and been generally unwell the last week, also wacked out on painkillers due to bad back

  3. have eaten a lot of junk food in effort to distract self from the 2ww

  4. I always feel like that

  5. I always feel like that

Someone kipper me please.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 18:19

Oh, forgot 6) I am constantly weeeing today, for the answer to which see 4 or 5 under 'other explanations'.

SingingMog · 21/11/2010 19:10

Nelly Grin well done for JSing!! That deserves a prize. LOL at falling out of bed!!

DarkStar KIPPER (said in the voice of Len on Strictly when he gives someone a seven) I am sharing some 2ww symptoms with you. It is doing my head in!! Could also just be because I am really tired from work and that I have PMT, but I have been:

  1. feeling crampy feelings in lower belly
  2. feeling really icky after eating things
  3. getting really sore nipples (cue more pokage at DH to ask if my boobs are bigger)
  4. totally tired
  5. felt dizzy at the cinema yesterday and sat down on the floor next to the bar (I'm classy)
  6. forgetful e.g. just spent weekend with sister-in-law (and three kids under 7) and left my phone on the table, had to drive back after getting 30 mins away!! I would usually never leave my phone anywhere!
  7. I got cystitis (noticed Sat am) and am now drinking those lovely cranberry powdery mix drinks - I think this is cos I was so busy on Fri I couldn't go to the loo all day. How rubbish is that?!

Please can you kipper me back.

Harry Potter 7 was passable once I had recovered from feeling icky.

Expecting AF on 30th Nov, so still too early to test.

SleepyCaz, sounds things are going well for you at the mo. I have got everything crossed for you for stickiness.

Esk, hope you find out why you have sore boobage!

Oh and today I have been married for 3 months Grin.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 19:20

consider yourself well and truly kippered Mog :) The 2ww sucks. I suspect I am mentally exaggerating things because one of my postnatal thread mates on here has just announced she's expecting her second, literally first go at ttc. Then was all 'sorry I jumped the queue, sorry Star' like I'm some sort of pregmaniac who needs placating at every turn. Oh, did I mention I'm also totally hormental?

Congrats on 3 months, DH and I will have our 2 month anniversary next weekend Grin He is back from his jaunt, thank god, leaving me to prostrate myself on the sofa and finish off last night's bottle of wine. Think DS has got a little institutionalised, he was crying for me when usually he loves bedtime with daddy Grin Blush

SleepyCaz · 21/11/2010 20:15

DS and Mog - promising symptoms, if you ask me! :)

I've had no symptoms at all, so still not counting my chickens.

Also, disclaimer time... When I say I nicked a preg test, I mean from the storecupboard at work, they are the ones we use routinely for patients. I wasn't shplifting in Boots! Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 20:26

lol Caz, I had visions of you furtively stuffing your pockets with HPTs Grin

For my fellow 2ww-ers, here's some light relief or indeed interesting reading :)

NervousNelly · 21/11/2010 20:46

Lots of kippers abounding this weekend. Think I might need one for all my typo's on the previous post. I wasn't still drunk, honest, I was on the iPhone - excuse for all things I find!

Also managed a sneaky Shag this morning before we came home too :). I think this one just squeezes into the 5 days pre-OV. Unfortunately OH goes away Tues-Thursday this week so will have to be very persuasive the other nights Wink.

Loving the descent into 2ww Madness. Who is next to test then?

sleepycaz still keeping everything, except my legs and my drinking hands crossed for you.

Where is miffles today - any sign of the red-fecker yet?

Milano keep the faith and keep shagging.

vallinnapod · 21/11/2010 21:26

Evening viroids,

Ticking along here...next scan and bloods on Weds so just sniffing, jabbing and pill popping away Smile

DS and Mog - I have all those symptoms too Wink

PS DH voted for Wagner today so it's a good job I don't need to shag him...I have threatened divorce!

Miffles · 21/11/2010 22:15

Quick post - here and well. Still no AF. Confused. Still to scared to test again. Boobs tiny bit sore if push, nothing else.

Sorry - only just managed to skim read and DH over my shoulder, so gotta go.

Milano - I am so so so sorry that I put you on the graduate list. That was a complete slip up, but I feel so bad. Sad Blush thank you for being sweet about it, but not really excusable. If anyone knows how to change a thread title, let me know.

Will catch up woth you others on Tue. x

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 21/11/2010 22:20

vallina - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. OK I'm not really an x-factor fan, but Wagner???? Shock. Never mind a kipper, he needs slapped round the chops with a ruddy big whale. Scandalous. Angry.

SingingMog · 21/11/2010 23:22

Milano, he voted for WAGNER?!!! ARGH!!!! I am with Nervous on this one Grin

DarkStar - yay for two and three monthiversaries Grin. Not celebrating here really at the mo as DH is on COD. Have bought him new one but not giving it him till Fri (birthday), so he is slumming it on old one til then!

Sleepy, I'm now LOLing at image of you stuffing PTs in your pockets at Boots!

Miffles, keep poking them. Or get DH to. It is more fun Wink

Thank you v muchly for the kipper.

Might go to bed now. Have done online Christmas shopping rather than getting ready for school tomorrow, when I have a full day of teaching. Hmmm.... Hmm I am v naughty. I am going to do lots of singing and coursework and do musical ornaments charades with my Year 10s. There. Planned! Right... vitamins and bed.

Just seeing if this still works... Bear

milanomum · 22/11/2010 10:59

Miffles my lovely - don't worry :) I was just pointing it out but not in a wailing way, just in case any newbies got confused!

Someone kipper me please. Am starting to convince myself that I could even be pregnant (ignoring the fact that i have no symptoms of course) hey, it's either that or I just didn't ovulate. Ho hum, will know next week I suppose!

Aren't those symptoms just mad though - could be pregnancy, could be AF... what a head f**k!
(they are quite promising though girls Wink)

vallinnapod · 22/11/2010 11:44

Mog as much as I would now like to palm him off on Milano, or anyone, after his voting indiscretion it was my DH how committed such an atrocity.

Had to buy some more nasal spray from the clinic today. It's annoying as I (really bloody hope) should only need a fraction of this bottle, must be lots of half used drugs lying around. I've still got Letrozole at home!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 22/11/2010 12:03

A friendly kippering there milanomum :)

More pinkish discharge this morning. On CD21 I will have to test on Friday anyway if no period has arrived, because I'm going out for my best friend's leaving drinks so need to know if the booze is verboten.

Bent double with back pain once more. It is very tedious.

BrassicaBabe · 22/11/2010 13:05

Afternoon all

Sorry you've got to splash out on more sniffing drugs vallinna. How are the scans going? Is everything behaving as it should?

Well, I've finally reached a status of JSing. It's a shame I had to get updiffed before I acheived the goal though Blush I'm a bit bored now. I've given up POAS (finally) I'm not temping in the morning, but we can't tell anyone either. I'm swinging between "can't quite believe it" and "absolutely fecking terrified"! Generally the latter is winning out at the moment Grin

I seem to be on top of the constipation thing. I've bought apricots to accompany the prunes. I wonder if I've got to carry on with this regime until the bitter end Confused

darkstar loving your "symptoms" Grin Fingers crossed they are all for real!

Nervous you drunked bum you! You are bound to be up the duff now! WinkGrin

takethatlady · 22/11/2010 13:11

Hello ladies,

Been away for the weekend so no MNing Shock
darkstar I hope your back feels better soon.

nmcb it's definitely a pombear, not Children in Need - someone asked for one after a pombear incident on another thread and then in one of the weekly roundups MN said they were working on it.

nervous PMSL at the drunken shag-fest and especially at falling out of bed. V sexy, the sprawled out on the floor look, I find Grin

Congrats to all the newlyweds. We've been married 6 1/2 years so not much excuse for monthly anniversary shagging here Wink. Hope you ladies are getting on with it!

Here's a half-hearted and hypocritical kipper for all the rule-breakers, and a smack in the chops for vallinna's DH, who should know better...

So tired today it's unbelievable ...
