Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Hey laydees, sorry to have been out of touch for a little bit, work has been very hectic and this is where I invariably take the piss pop in to say hello.
Pecka, you've got to have been a little tipsy, hmmm? Hmmm? I'm still smiling at "fuck that shit, pull yourself together girl"
You got 'tude, girlfriend!
Yellow, good luck vibes surround you, in a haze of luckiness.
I'm taking time out for lunch and feeling a bit dazed, just spent far too much time on "Radiator covers - naff or not?" I quite like them myself, I'm in favour of covering all ugly things.

Af trundles along so no activity to report, focus is on other things but will have a ponder on the new thread title. If we're looking to put people off, I'd recommend going down one of those 'All aboard, wave your mucusy pants in the air" type titles, I haven't an arsing clue what they're on about.
Anyhoo, I'll be back when I'm not feeling so spacey, mwah mwah!

janeybooks · 11/03/2011 14:38

Can I just ask why you've all suddenly got rather unfriendly regarding new recruits to your thread? Have lurked for some time but now rather feel I should shuffle away...

Wormshuffler · 11/03/2011 14:58

Hi Janey
ermmm it's not that we are unfriendly towards newbies, it's just that alot of us were on the "same anti-natal" bus, so have gone through the whole getting PG and then M/C together. Some people Envy have already successfully got PG again, so there is a bit of a mixed group on here who catch up with different areas of each other lives. Eg jobs, holidays etc. Rather than just talking about TTC stuff.
Can I ask why you lurked and didn't join in? we are a friendly enough bunch........

Sparklywine · 11/03/2011 17:21
Biscuit Always wanted to do that. Janey, as Wormy points out we are a friendly bunch, but your post could do with an introductory hello and some sort of savoury snack offering before you wave your pointy stick at us. I appreciate that some people will not be in the right place to offer a contribution, I don't know your circumstances and the fact you've been lurking here suggests you find yourself in the same unhappy predicament. I hope we have provided solace, comfort and amusement. By all means join in, otherwise you shall just have to find us when we move!

By the by, "lurking for some time" is kinda sinister to my mind, you don't seem the fluffy retiring kind and we're bearing our souls here. I feel exposed. You'd have thought this was some sort of open internet forum or summit....

Now would you like some Wine or have you more threads in which to crash-land and put to rights? Grin

harassedinherpants · 11/03/2011 17:43

Pmsl @ sparkly

Janey if you've been lurking then you'll know that I'm the newbie round these here parts, and they've all been lovely and welcoming. I didn't join any of the other post mc threads because they were so big and fast moving, which is off putting when you're a bit fragile (found out about mmc 8 weeks ago today). I have joined one of the others very recently because there are some lovely ladies I met on the mc/pl board on there and I like to keep in touch with them.

I don't think it's ideal to lurk on threads like these where it's all so personal tbh.

I have tests!!! First Response are on bogof in Superdrug if anyone wants to stock up.

PS I like radiator covers and would a cat litter tray cover if anyone comes up with a lovely one Grin.

Wormshuffler · 11/03/2011 17:58

New thread name may I suggest............ "come bearing calories or sparkly will get ya" Grin Grin

Janey if you are still Lurking..... I hope you are ok, I just searched your username and seen what you have been through and that you were also due in june along with me and some of us, You poor thing...
I wish you had joined us, I wasn't ERPC, but gatecrashed followed along for the familiar faces.

janeybooks · 11/03/2011 18:06

Well everyone thanks for replies and welcome! Suppose really I am a bit retiring and only post v occasionally but do find a lot of support from reading posts. Maybe my post here was a bit blunt! I prob lurk rather than join because I know I'd be crap at keeping up with posting. Like I'm one of those annoying folk who never put anything about themselves on Facebook but have an account. Anyway if you don't mind I shall continue to follow you guys as you're all a pretty entertaining and warm bunch I think! And good luck to us all on our journeys. If I knew how I'd do one of those little wine pictures to you all!...

Wormshuffler · 11/03/2011 18:10

harassed cross posted........What do you mean you have tests????? well come on give us the gos?? you MUST have pee'd on at least one by now! I didn't even make it out of the supermarket when I bought mine!!

Worm I have two boxes of two tests in a bag..... waiting until tomorrow am. How restrained am I?!!

Yellow how did it go??

pecka33 · 11/03/2011 21:52

And shes huge!!! So im sure u can sympathize....
Janey sorry if we came across as unwelcoming, we are really all a friendly bunch of likemonded ladies, with a shared end goal.
sparkly love your suggestions for thread names, very inventive.

Todays been yet another bad day, radio bad in car so decided to put on a cd for my 2 hour journey home, eva casidy, and my wedding song came on, song bird and i sobbed for about an hour, me and dh are really not getting along at the moment and mega stressed with work and ttc, so life is all pretty shit at the moment, thank god for you girls, you really cheer me up.
Hope everyones well, no symptoms to report, af due next week, so looks like yet another month of swi at the moment its the only thing we can do that doesnt end or start with an arguement!!! X

pecka33 · 11/03/2011 21:54

yellow???? How did the interview go?? Im assuming your out celebrating and drinking plenty of Wine x

yellowtomato · 11/03/2011 22:58

Evening all

Have been drinking to drown my sorrows. Interview went mainly well except one question I didn't get at all. He asked 'how can you find out how many airplanes there are over UK right now. I said look up airport info on Internet. He said 'no I want to know what figures you would need to know and process of how to calculate it. I really had no idea and this has absolutely nothing to do with the role.

So I think I blew it. They said I should know in a couple of weeks! WTF! Feeling a bit blue.

pecka sorry you are having such a tough time, am sending a hug and some chocolate your way.

Am in bed now with a bit of a White wine headache. What a stressful day!

Avro · 12/03/2011 09:47

Hello everyone

I'm new here - obviously.

Bit about me - I'm 39. Had MMC with first pregnancy this week. Had ERPC on thursday. What a week! Not sure what I'll do now, but thought I might lurk about a bit if you all don't mind.

Wormshuffler · 12/03/2011 10:00

Hi Avro, sorry about your MC best wishes x

Wormshuffler · 12/03/2011 10:07

Hi girls

yellow what a strange question! hopefully the other applicant was just as baffled by that question!, I would have said something stupid like " look up in the sky"!

pecka sorry to hear you are going through it at the moment, TTC puts such a huge stress on relationships, but sure you can get through it, maybe you need "a date night"? maybe a bit of "make-up sex is just what you need Wink hell maybe it's time "my little friend" shows his face :P

I am waiting for harassed to pee on those sticks....... fingers, toes, pubes ect all crossed .......

pecka33 · 12/03/2011 10:24

welcome avro, lurk away, but your welcome to post and ask questions weve all been there at some point and as you can see from my post last night still finding it tough 6 months on.
yellow i would dismiss it all just yet, he could of threw in a red herin!!!! And 2 weeks for such an important job, like running mi5 really aint that long to wait.... He he
sparkly believe it or not but my little friend go threw away by accident.
The other month we had drunken sex downstairs and it was involved the next morning we were woken up my the MIL and DH threw it in a bag, and forgot about it, needless to say that bag got threw away!!! So no more mylittlefriend maybe thats why were having so many probs at the moment???? Lol

yellowtomato · 12/03/2011 10:28

Hello avro so sorry to hear about your mmc and erpc. How far along were you when you found out? You're very welcome to either lurk or join in, whatever helps you.

Come on harassed get peeing please!

Sparklywine · 12/03/2011 10:37

Pubes crossed? Truly we have sunk to new depths of depravity Grin
Welcome Avro, really early stages for you, I'm so sorry this has happened. Feel free to lurk Grin, and to pop on if you need to know anything specifically. Look after yourself and try to take things easy, I was in shock for a few days afterwards and thought it was a bounce-back recovery, went back to work too soon and made a tit of myself getting all teary in front of the boss. Curl up, drink sweet tea and if dh is present be kind to each other. I shouted at my cat and the beloved said "You'd make an awful mum", but he's an arse sometimes, just look out for that sort of thing and try not to throw a mug get angry at him.
Harassed, have you tested yet fond Smile
Yellow, if you're going for Head of British Airways I guess you'd need some clue about plane volumes, otherwise it sounds like one of those curveball questions they throw in to check your response. You should have said something random to confuse and impress them. I'd take the ratio of magpies over the square root of the number of frozen peas in a bag to ascertain approximate volumes, but this would be dependent on prevailing weather conditions.

Or just tell him it's on a need to know basis, and he doesn't have clearance (if it's the MI6 gig you're going for)
I hope you're feeling more positive today. I'm having pancakes too Harassed, hom.
Pecka, sorry you're feeling fraqile and not getting on with dh, it's a testing time for a relationship, look after yourselves.
Morning Janey Grin and hi everyone else x

pecka33 · 12/03/2011 10:45

have the urge to chant to harrassed pee pee pee on those sticks!!! all said in my attempt at an american accent, not easy when your from birmingham!!!

Avro · 12/03/2011 11:19

Thanks everyone :)
Yellow I was 13 weeks on Wednesday, but bean gave up at 9+1.

wombatinwaiting · 12/03/2011 11:57

Afternoon all and welcome to janey (if you're still planning to lurk Smile ) and to avro as well -so sorry to read of your experience and can only echo sparkly's advice and also don't be surprised at the insensitivity of people who haven't been through it - the "it's nature's way" and my personal favourite "at least you know you can get pregnant....."

Sorry to hear you and DH are having a difficult time pecka and to be without your little friend too.... what do you think your MIL would have thought it was?!

That question would have been one to see how you react on your feet / to uncertainty / stressful situations yellow - not one I necessarily agree with but some people do love to throw them in.... the decision won't hinge on that at all and you did say the rest of the interview went quite well so I for one am hopeful for you (I am in HR related field so can type with some knowledge and confidence) - can fully understand you feeling stressed, depressed and anxious about it though - hope the headache has gone and sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts (plus the odd tin of quality street.....) x

now where is harassed? I'm desperately trying not to type a "have you done it yet" post but will jump on pecka's cheerleading bandwagon!

Am feeling a bit nervous today - I've organised a "fun run" for "Run for Christchurch" to raise money for the earthquake Red Cross appeal. There are over 80 runs happening over the world this weekend (the power of t'internet and facebook eh?) and I'm doing the one here but anxious that no-one is going to turn up - I have even iced some mini muffins in red and black writing saying "I RAN 4CHCH" to hand out afterwards.... I think there will be anything from 10 to 30 people there - we shall see!

Waves to all x

yellowtomato · 12/03/2011 12:37

Hi avro that must have been a horrible shock for you. I'm sure you're head must still be all over the place. I echo everything these lovely ladies have said. Be kind to yourself, try not to put too many expectations on yourself as to how you 'should' be feeling and feel free to talk to us or just lurk if it helps.

wombat what a lovely thing to do, hope lots of people turn up.

sparkly wish I said something witty like that rather than just being totally blank!

Thanks all for the interview support. I have heard just now that they want me to do a final phone interview with the most senior person on Monday afternoon. Will it never end?

harassedinherpants · 12/03/2011 14:35

Sorry! Meant to get on earlier but phone was messing around.

I'm confused Sad!

I poas, left it 3 mins, glanced at the sucker, saw 1 good line so shoved tissue on it and left it on bedside table. Couple of hours later went to chuck it away and there was a faint line. Def a line, even dh could see it. Soooo - did I miss it this morning in the not proper light, or is it because I left it??? Answers on a postcard please.......

pecka33 · 12/03/2011 14:43

test again harrassed it could be an evap line!!! Not like im talking from experience...

harassedinherpants · 12/03/2011 14:46

Caught up:

avro, welcome but so sorry you have to be here. My mmc was 8 weeks ago and it's still hard. Just to forewarn you, a few other ladies and I that had erpc's found the 3rd really bad. I don't know if it's the hormones or what, just look after yourself. It all took a while to hit me Sad.

Pecka sorry to hear you're having a difficult time lovely. Can you take a couple of days off and just chill and maybe go out with dh and just forget everything?? That's what we've done before and it's helped.

Yellow what a stupid question!! Wow, at final interview though. what do you do?? Sounds ever so impressive!

wombat what a lovely thing to do. I'm sure you'll have a great turnout!

Sparkly don't mention pancakes Envy

Worm at pubes crossed Grin!!

Off to clean up and make fairycakes with dd. Oh, then clean up again......Hmm
