Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Hi everyone and thanks for all your lovely messages of concern - I really have been touched. Very, very pleased to report that we are all safe and well despite being in central Christchurch when the quake struck. We were in the museum by the park and it was so fortunate we were all together and on the ground floor -we had been in the cathedral about 1 hour before. It took a while for us to realise the seriousness of it all at which point we started walking through the park (DH, me, my m and d plus m in law who is 80....) towards an area about 15km out the centre where friend of DH lives. After a couple of hours, we came across a motel that had a 2 bed unit free and amazingly running water still. The power came back on around 6 and so we got to see the news which is when it really started to hit home. The aftershocks were pretty unsettling. We all had flights booked out of CHCH in different directions the next day anyway which m in law and m and d were able to take however we couldn't take ours to Oz as my passport was back at our central hotel (together with all our luggage) but we were v lucky to get seats on one of the emergency flts to Auckland. Flight down and back to Wellington for me yesterday to get new passport from British High Commission (fabulous people there) and then we left Auck this afternoon back for Dubai and I'm currently at the lounge in HK airport waiting for our onward flight.

We cannot believe how fortunate we have been, particularly hearing all the tragic stories. DH knew one person who was killed from his training days there 20 years ago. The Kiwis are amazing people and the kindness shown has been incredible.

Sooo, in other news - not much SWI for us in last few days, but fortunately not ov for another week or so. Good to read all your updates though and I will reply individually to you all in the next couple of days.

Thanks again for your concern xx

Sparklywine · 25/02/2011 15:39

Wombat, you're safe!!!!!

Don't go worrying us like that again. No more galavanting, do you hear?

DH has been worried too, he dreamt about you last night. Did you see Yellow had tried to Peoplefinder you on google and didn't get much further than "Wombat, NZ" Grin
Phew, I can relax now, get home and enjoy a few Wine, which I was going to do anyway but with a slightly tense and pensive expression.

yellowtomato · 25/02/2011 15:49

Phew I'm so relieved and pleased and delighted, think I need a lie down now. I was really getting worried, thought you should have been back by now.

Must have been such a shock when you realised the extent.

I will also have wine tonight to celebrate your safe return. Hurrah, was feeling a bit fed up but am cheered up now. Grin

pecka33 · 26/02/2011 10:26

thank god!!! Im was so worried, pppppeeeeeuuuuuuuuuu
getting all ready for my cousins wedding today, hoping tonights the night we make a baby!! Currently on day 10, not due to ov until day 13/14 as i thought i did last month, so fingers crossed tonights the night, especially as i had yet another baby announcement today from my little cousin, 25 new relationship!! Buggering hell.
Yellow good luck on your two week wait and hopefully the wind subsids a little, and yes rose oil, give it ago wait aint got nowt to lose have we.

Waves to all xx

yellowtomato · 26/02/2011 12:14

Forgot to say worm they sound like good symptoms, keep us posted!

Good luck on the baby making tonight pecka hopefully we'll all have announcements to make before too long.

Waves to everyone else

wombatinwaiting · 27/02/2011 12:49

Awwwww - thanks so much for your lovely notes ladies -really am most touched [fluffy emoticon]. hope you enjoyed your Wine glasses!

Sooooo.... back at my desk and it all feels a bit surreal now - have been telling colleagues about it and still cannot believe how lucky we were - I feel awful for the people of Christchurch who have so much to get through over the coming weeks / months. Quite glad that I wasn't pg in the end this month - not sure all that shaking and extra stress would have been good for a bean! We have been soooo unlucky with hols of late - first trip to Jordan cancelled due to ERPC then had to cancel luxury desert getaway as still recovering from ERPC then next trip to Jordan cancelled as DH passport not up to date and now this! Next one HAS to be ok - surely!

yellow - how's the job application going? Have we got the next James "yellow" Bond in our midst?! And how's the wind?! What about a dash of Ribena with the herbal tea....? Or perhaps you won't need it again if this month is a winner! Lots of you guys on the 2WW so we can all sit with bated breath together.

sparkly - so funny re: your DH dream! Hope all the topping up and headstands work this month- have so many digits crossed that it's getting hard to type Grin Interesting that the grapefruit juice seems to be working for a few of you.... I need to get my hands on some more folic acid as that is also currently sitting in Christchurch hotel room....

worm - what's the latest on your symptoms? Will you test soon? Here's hoping you and the family are having an amazing time out there.

pecka - how was the wedding shagging?! Hope all that lurve got you and DH in the mood!

mana - what a time you've had.... you've done well not to lose it with your consultant. Like yellow I was v Angry to hear how you had been treated. Wonderful you got to see the heartbeat. Hope you and DH are keeping as sane as you can be. Do keep us posted with your news.

nurse - how are things with you? Hope you're still lurking and not feeling too anxious. Same with you strawberry.

wellieboots - am now concerned for you. You said you were heading down under, but didn't say if it was NZ or Oz - I do hope that you aren't anywhere near Christchurch - what a start that would have been for you.....

harassed - how are you doing? I guess you must be in the 2WW as well.

I think I'm around CD10 now and seem to be ov'ing around CD13-15 so we'll be at it again soon. We had planned a repeat performance of the Hong Kong airport lounge shower scene just for a bit of fun but we were both soooo knackered we couldn't generate any excitement for the deed. We have enjoyed relaying the story to a couple of select friends though!

Waves to all and sorry for anyone I've missed. Hope you're enjoying your Sunday roasts! xx

wombatinwaiting · 27/02/2011 12:51

Oh and a friend in Sweden just emailed me that she is 4 months pg - wanted to throw a couple of rotten tomatoes her way but she has been trying for a year..... still quietly wailing though....!

wellieboots · 27/02/2011 22:53

Hi ladies,

I'm OK, new home is in Sydney, although my bro (who lives in England) did get married on the outskirts of Christchurch to a Kiwi girl at the weekend, so I have been to NZ and got back yesterday.

We were staying with some friends in the North Island on Tuesday when we got news of the quake. Obviously wanted to know straight away that bro, new SIL and her family were OK (as well as DM who had arrived from the UK on Monday) but mobile was out of juice! Thankfully everyone was OK - shaken but unhurt. SIL's family are half an hour north of CHC, so they felt the quake but not nearly as bad damage wise.

We replanned the wedding, which was meant to have been in CHC, in 2 hours, and got them a new venue, caterer etc. They really did need to get married, as they're leaving NZ tomorrow, and we all had a lovely day, and were very conscious of the importance of family and friends, we were all so grateful to be there and be OK.

sorry for the completely non TTC post (furthest thing from my mind this month!) but someone was asking for me.

Hope all are doing OK - sorry haven't had chance to catchup yet!

waves!!!

wombatinwaiting · 28/02/2011 11:07

My goodness wellie - what a time you and your family have had. So relieved to hear that they are all safe and well done for re-planning the wedding so well - as you say, these things certainly re-focus your priorities.... I hope the settling in to Sydney is going well.

wombatinwaiting · 28/02/2011 11:12

In other news for me, had quite a bit of unexpected EWCM yesterday evening so jumped on DH for some SWI first thing this morning. As we're still on NZ time, we were up early anyway so didn't seem too much of a chore! Poor bugger was doing a comedy leap into bed when I decided to move towards him at the same time and my knee connected quite forcefully with his head - cue much "ouch-ing" together with a fit of the giggles - I was impressed he managed to pull off his part so to speak! Really don't know where I am in my cycle at the mo as I had spotting for 3 days before AF settled in properly so I'm anything from CD11 to CD14. I've only had this spotting malarkey pre-AF since the ERPC so am a bit confused with it all. Any advice / info you ladies can offer would be much appreciated.

yellowtomato · 28/02/2011 12:30

Morning ladies

wombat it's lovely to have you back.....on the job front I've just heard today that I'm through to the next round so down to the final 2. Apparently it's going to take place in the next 2 weeks so more waiting....I really thought it'd all be over long before you came back.

It must have been so scary and shocking for you to be in the midst of all that in NZ...did you have to leave all your luggage etc behind? Do you think you'll ever see it again? I know it's a trivial thing in the the scheme of things but you must have had a lot of your wardrobe with you for your 3 week holiday?

Well done on the enthusiastic SWI...good work. I'm really clueless about spotting, I know I had it before af for a few months before last bfp but it's stopped now...I did a lot of research and it seems mainly inconclusive. Could be nothing could be progesterone or something.

It's so hard when people announce their pg isn't it? did you see that my tutor on my course is pg? She told me in private last week but think she might be making the announcement this week....waaaahhh when it be me??

I really don't think anything could improve the tea but the good news is that I'm more or less used to it now so it's not so bad.

Hello wellie glad you are safe..how is the settling in going? Sounds like you've had quite a time of it so fare......hopefully things will be a bit smoother now.

Pecka how did the wedding SWI go? I don't think we've been at our most amourous after attending wedding cos one or both of us is usually so drunk we pass out..hope you had better luck!

sparkly how was your weekend? Plenty of Wine where are you on your cycle, any symptoms to share with us?

I am on CD17 I but me and ff are disagreeing on when I ov'd....no symptoms yet......

I am trying to lose a bit of weight at the mo but have made no progress at all so far due to lack of willpower. I know the basics; eat less and healthily and more exercise/general activity but there is a difference between knowing what to do an doing it! I blame the weather, it's cold, wet and miserable and makes me hungry. I'm sure if I lived somewhere hot I'd be super thin. Or something!

Right off to stuff my face with a massive jacket potato with cheese (see where I'm going wrong anyone?)

pecka33 · 28/02/2011 13:45

yellow your so right, we got wrecked, dh was put to bed at 12am and me i lasted til 1.30 am, but was so wrecked spent all day in bed yesterday recovering... did manage to get a little swi action in sunday morning mid-hangover as dh didnt wana waste the £120 room, lol...
was a very emotional wedding for me, 6 months post my wedding, same song played walking down the aisle, (song bird) dance with my father again, and my lttle cousin announcing her pregnancy!!having only being with her new boyfriend for not even a year!!! and it being planned...
im currently on day 12 so swi continues the rest of this week, if i can muster the energy.
glad things are all good your end wellie and wombat
mana sparklynurse harrassed how are you all doing?? stawberry.....

Waves to anyone ive missed. xx

wombatinwaiting · 28/02/2011 17:06

Thanks yellow - it's great to be back and on mn again properly. Good news re: the job despite the waiting - you must have nerves of steel! Yes, sorry to read about your tutor (although good for her and nice that she had the sensitivity to tell you first) but still - aaagghhhhhhh!

It was pretty hairy at the time - one of the weirdest things is sitting here at home writing all about it when it was only 6 days ago - it almost feels as if it never happened.... we may get our luggage back at some point. Evidently our hotel is still standing but some of the buildings around it are collapsed or collapsing. No-one knows when the cordon around the CBD will be removed and even when it is, I'm sure the hotel will have quite a job to work it all out. In the mean time, it's a reasonable excuse for a new wardrobe I guess.

Glad to hear the tea is becoming a bit more normal - the things we do eh? Are you still on the pre-seed? Also, when are your next set of medical appointments? I was just thinking about you in the shower this morning (really not sure why! Confused and wondered what your next steps are on that front and if you ever got some more conclusive info on the AMH levels....

pecka - must have been v emotional for you - hope you're ok and at least you managed some action this morning. Impressed you managed better than your DH!

What other news from the rest of you lovely ladies?

wombatinwaiting · 01/03/2011 10:09

Hi all - how are you doing today? Seems I'm a bit bored at work as have prob spent a good hour on mn already Blush.... also went on to the Jue in June thread - yes, yes, I know, I know - stupid thing to do before you lot start slapping me around with a wet fish - not sure what took me there.... anyway, I feel sad but not agonisingly so - which is good right? I am a bit Shock and Blush by my stalking on the "newly updiffed" thread and I'm already writing in my head what I would put there if I get a bfp.... am I completely nuts? [in need of reassurance emoticon]

Happy St Davids day to any friends from the valleys!

wombatinwaiting · 01/03/2011 10:11

By the way, we;re nearly at our 900 post limit - any brilliant ideas for the title of our next thread? (assuming you all still want to communicate with a rather daft wombat....!)

wombatinwaiting · 01/03/2011 10:13

talking of communicating - where are star and nurse - not heard from either for quite some time.

harassed - spotted you on another thread and wanted to send a Brew or a Wine - whichever you're most in need of.

Will need to stop posting soon or will use up all our posts! Blush.

harassedinherpants · 01/03/2011 10:27

Hi, I am still here! Had a busy and wobbly weekend, plus work is manic.

Today I have no voice! Not helpful, and feeling a bit rubbish now. Felt awful last night but sucked it up for a final swi, but think a bit late lol. The boy done good though!!! Just gotta do the hard bit now...wait!!

Only had a quick glance through, but Wombat - I see you're back safe and sound, phew. Must have been very scary.

Off to catch up properly.

wellieboots · 01/03/2011 11:04

hello everyone

wombat so glad you are OK - we ended up staying outside of Christchurch and never went anywhere near the cbd because we didn't arrive until the Wednesday. It was scary enough being where we were, feeling aftershocks and hearing the stories, you must have had a nightmare.

yellow glad it's moving forward on the job front, sorry it's been so agonisingly slow in terms of all the waiting and hope it all works out in the end.

Not much news here - just glad to be home safe and waiting on AF. I think my body has been completely messed up by stress, travel and moving countries!!

yellowtomato · 01/03/2011 11:05

Morning all

Wombat the only reason I've not been on yet is cos I went to the gym this am. Operation lose the fat belly starts here. (well some of it, I've got modest goals!)

I am still using the pre-seed and taking the tea and having acupuncture every week. Re tests there aren't really any more to have. The result is either bad or very bad and the FSH wasn't much better. So as far as western medicine goes I'm a lost cause and should be going down the donar egg route. So that's why I've switched to Chinese medicine and see if that's any more helpful. The acupuncture guy seems quite positive about the whole thing so I guess we'll see.

You are very naughty to go on the due in June thread, no good can come of it. But imagining how you'd do your announcement is not nuts at all. I have been working out how long I'd have to be working in the new job I haven't got yet to qualify for maternity leave. Is that any more mental?

The next job interview is Friday 11th so got some time to wait and it's with FOUR people.

I think the number of posts can go up to 1000..so we should think about it but we've got a little bit of time. Of course I want to communicate with you, who else would I talk to about all this crazy ttc stuff? I love chatting to you.

Hey harassed are you ok? Waasssup?

pecka sounds like you had a good time at the wedding, I'm impressed with hangover SWI, i just don't think I could but I s'pose it depends on the severity of the hangover! I can see how it must have been emotional too.....I just wish people would stop getting pg until I am. Can't they just wait a bit? hmmm?

yellowtomato · 01/03/2011 11:06

wellie!!! Sorry crossed posts with you.....I'm sure it's only normal for your body to be all over the place with all the stuff you've been through lately. Hopefully things will settle down a bit for the next cycle.
