TTC after MC, ERPC anyone want to join me??

Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Worm the big age gap works well - always a babysitter available. Well mostly. Ds1 and dd share a birthday . Plus it confuses the gossips and gives them something to chat about. Do prepare to be asked a zillion times if you are prg again by accident. If I had a £... .

I didn't so much stand on my head as inch my arse up the headboard and tilt a bit. DH was still next to me so I got him to do it too, we are in this together afterall When he went downstairs I did casually attempt a handstand pose but huge booozums gravity defeated me and I came crashing back down onto the bed, narrowly missing the cat. So glamorous!

ha ha ha ah sparkly you do have a way with words.......such a vivid visual there....just imagining the two of you with your arses in the air! Doubt by DP will be doing anything like that any time soon.....

My herbs arrived yesterday but as I wasn't in I now have to go to the delivery office to pick them up. Bit annoying cos it is a 50 min round trip walking and it's raining!

Ok I got the herbs and can confirm they are disgusting I've had the first cup and think I am going to be sick. Why do they have to be so foul? that's a sick face!

well, not much more to report from here other than bfn and DH and I are taking turns parent-sitting - being away with the in-laws aplus your own parents is NOT recommended. Seriously, we have to keep inventing excuses for half hour breaks from them - we have been for many walks and lie-downs... we are currently cooped up in a 2 bed motel unit and I am giggling away at the dildo holding boobs and hand stands and being asked what I am laughing at - waaaaaay too hard to explain!

Re the herbs......well....they look like what you'd get it you went into a wood and picked up a handful of what is on the floor. So bark, seeds and berry type things. And it tastes the same! So it's very bitter, looks like a thick marmite drink...sort of tastes a bit earthy, yeasty, woody...difficult to describe but certainly not pleasant. And after boiling them for 45 mins the smell does linger in the flat a lot......and I can still taste it hours after drinking it. I cannot imagine what I could add to it to make it less disgusting.....any ideas? And i have to drink it twice a day......it better flippin' work that's all I'm sayin'!

CD 13 for me today, have been swi every other day with some bicycling inbetween (note to self, must shave legs). Bit too much at the weekend though, whether this counters anything I don't know at such an early stage but I doubt lesbian fertility expert Vita Sackville-West would countenance such methods
Wombat, I love NZ too, did you manage to see the blowholes and pancake rocks in Punakaiki? Perhaps my favourite place in the world, many happy memories. Sorry about AF, well at least you can eat mussels and soft cheeses and not worry about flights etc.

Re the the yuk drink, I haven't tried mixing it with vodka... I know most things are improved with vodka but I think that this is one exception. I wish I could properly convey how foul it is..DP is refusing to even try it.

Moan alert: last night I found out my college tutor is pg...she told me separately before she tells the others next week which was thoughtful but pffff why isn't it meeeeeeee.......

And if I'm not successful this month we won't be able to try next month as DP will be away on a business trip during the crucial week. I asked him if he could change his trip and he just looked at me and said......erm 'no'. Well it was worth a try...

Aw, Yellow, what a shame about the tutor, from your point of view, and how frustrating that DH will be away next month.

Men see time stretching infinitely into the hazy distance, whereas we are so aware of our cycles that each week seems endless. I thought this morning that I'm not even in the 2ww yet!

you're right about the waiting, it does seem endless and missing out a month seems too cruel...esp as it's the month when I'll turn the dreaded 38 (when mum and grandma had menopause) On the one hand I know it won't happen the moment the clock strikes on my b'day but I'd def like not to miss any months at this stage. That will also mean a month of needles and disgusting herbs for nothing.....but maybe it builds up so that april will be a bumper month

harassed the herbs are Chinese herbs as prescribed for fertility by acupuncturist. I've got a list of what they are exactly but they are just chinese looking words. All I can tell you is that they look like something you'd find on the floor of a wood and taste similar. I keep expecting to see a beetle come out......

'Topped up' last night and feel a pain in my right ovary-area today which I have read on mn is a surefire sign of ovulation, or possibly a deluded and imagined symptom born out of desperation, depending on which thread you read!
DH thinks it's my kidneys begging for reprieve!

Hi all and a first hello to the new people . Apologies for the silence from me, have been in a state of anxiety and panic for the past few weeks...
After my 1st bit of bleeding and reassuring scan I had another lot of bleeding so back to GP and back to EPAC where I had a much more dismissive ultrasound woman who didn't see why I was worried. I was really worried to hear the 2nd sac was still growing and that I would just have to put up with the bleeding so went to see my v lovely mw (had her last time for ds2). She actually sent me into a massive panic by being v concerned about why the other sac was growing and mentioned the possibility that it could be molar! I didn't realise the implications at the time but she rang and made me the earliest appt with consultant and told me to take dh with me.... so I thought it must be bad. 3 days and a LOT of research later and we are both beside ourselves with worry. Appt with registrar who look at scan and notes and took them through to discuss with consultant, came back with message that all fine, nothing to worry about, just wait til 20wk scan! At which point I burst into tears and dh asked if it might be possible to see consultanat/have a scan to check. So... we did, all is ok, consultant fairly dismissive but says all is fine. PHEWEEEEEEEEE. Am literally knackered from anxiety of it all coupled with all the pg symptoms. But, good news is I have seen a heartbeat at 10wks and so I think the statistics are v good for it sticking properly. bad news is 2nd sac is likely to cause continued bleeding... which is a bit stressful and means no swimming.

Anyway, sorry for v long post all about me. Had to get it off my chest. COuldn't share before cos it was all too scarey. Am running a bath so will try and catch up on as much news and post properly tomorrow.

More fingers crossed here for news from wombat soon.

oh my goodness manamana that all does sound very stressful. It makes me so to hear about consultants being dismissive when the patient is desperately worried and desperate for reassurance. I think sometimes they forget that they are dealing with real people.

I'm really glad you've had a good outcome though....I can imagine that the continued bleeding is stressful but a heartbeat at 10 weeks is def v good news. Hurrah!

I saw the acupuncturist last night and told him his tea was horrid and he laughed and said that it was one of the nicer tasting ones!

Wow its been busy, mana what can i say but what a pile of shit!! Hopefully things are less anxious now, i think once youve seen a heartbeat over 9 weeks your in a low risk area, so hopefully you can get on with enjoying the rest of your pregnancy, if thats possible..... Given our historys on this thread.

Harassed im also on cd8 so swi actioned started last night alongside my first reflexolgy session, my friend detected lots of crystals in my left ovary and urine tract!!! 2 hours later all clear, so fingers crossed ladies.
