Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Aw, lovely lovely news Nurse!
Can I ask how you went about getting the early scan? I had a blighted ovum too, and my big worry is getting all the way to 12 weeks and finding out then that nothing was happening. I'd be sick with worry all the way along, so I'd rather know sooner than later.
Sorry you're feeling sick but this is a good sign, no?
Aw, little heart beating, how magical.
Am slightly envious
Oooh, you are in lavender now Nurse, I found the 'Customise' option at the top of the page and you can highlight the person who started the thread. Handy when looking for the OP's updates (eg Southsea's waters breaking in America thread).
AF has now stuttered to a close and feeling a twinge in my left ovary (DH said 'Are you sure it's not your kidney?' Grin) so think I may be an early ovulator and will therefore commence operation bonk tonight.
Meanwhile, am going to have a Brew

Sparklywine · 15/02/2011 08:59

Yoohoo, welcome back, how is life down under?

yellowtomato · 15/02/2011 11:40

Morning all

Well I think the interview went well.....but who knows. Am back in the 'waiting to hear' limbo. The next stage (if it happens) won't be until next week but hopefully they'll let me know if it is happening before then.

sparkly where has that southsea thread gone, I can't find it anymore...good luck with operation bonk-a-thon

worm sounds like you've put in the effort and should be rewarded with results. Am very impressed with 5 nights in a row, that is def beyond my capabilities.....

pecka any news?

nurse that is lovely news, so happy for you....apart from the sickness which must be horrid.

I've just about finished my af and it was a lighter one than usual so I'm fretting about being peri-menopausal....Hmm

Off to acupuncture tomorrow which does make me feel like I am doing something positive.

I bought hot cross buns just now.....have covered them in butter and going to have Brew i love snacking!

pecka33 · 15/02/2011 11:47

AHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRR..... shes still not here, but can feel her, my last af was the 17th of jan, so with my regular cycle shuld of come on yesterdday, but still nothing, tested the weekend and it was a bfn, so not holding my hopes, if not here tomorrow will test...

Wormshuffler · 15/02/2011 15:46

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/birth_announcements/1149163-SouthSeas-All-American-Baby-thread this is the new southsea baby thread yellow

pecka everything crossed for Red witches non-arrival

wellieboots · 16/02/2011 08:38

Hello!

nurse so glad you got a good scan, when if I ever get that far I think I will probably cry too, the poor sonographer is going to wonder what she's said!

yellow hope the jobhunting and interviews continue moving in the right direction, man you've had a lot of hurdles to cross with this job!

pecka hope AF stays away for the right reason!!

We're doing OK here thanks for asking - but SWI is well and truly off the menu due to everything else that's going on, so a 2011 baby is looking less likely for us! But that's OK.

waves to everyone!!

pecka33 · 16/02/2011 10:34

aaaahhhhhh day 2 and still not here!!! Im never late, did a test and bfn!!! Whats going on.....

yellowtomato · 16/02/2011 11:40

pecka I have no idea, but I feel your pain. So frustrating when our bodies mess with us. Do you have any other symptoms? When you were pg before how early was the test positive? Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the link worm that is an amazing story.....well done for all the SWI......you can sit back and fret relax now during the 2ww.....you've done good!

wellie does sound like there is a lot going on for you at the mo, but being relaxed about these things is def the best way to go.

I've just had a call re job....apparently there are 2 other candidates, one they haven't seen yet and won't be seeing until Thurs. So won't know about the next stage until at least Friday.....and then it's another stage which 2 of us will go through to which is 3 more interviews.....will it never end? this is torture....Arrrggghhhh

Sparklywine · 16/02/2011 12:04

Yellow, what on earth do you do? Has the Prime Minister stepped down? Chris Evans left Radio 2? Angelina Jolie given up her roving UN ambassador role? I had one 30 minute interview with a fat lass in jeans who couldn't give a monkey's, offered the job that Friday afternoon, started on the Monday. Lower your sights and work in a shitty stimulating office environment like me! Grin

Operation Bonk aborted last night due to extreme tiredness, back on tonight no matter what! DH sent to Tesco's for grapefruit juice, came back with pineapple juice. Wailed "I thought it was pineapple for the mucus!" I have perhaps shared too much info with him Grin

Wormshuffler · 16/02/2011 16:25

Hmmmmm pecka strange........maybe you are PG, I didn't get a positive with my DS until a week after I was late. Fingers crossed for you!
sparkly these boys they have no stamina ey? I "told" DH that we were doing it again last night and I went to bed first, he waited an hour before coming up! hoping I was asleep! then wimped out of it when he realised I was still awake (barely) saying we will do it twice tonight! so I am sulking at the moment and if not PG this month will be guilt tripping !!!! will tie him down tonight and help myself!!
Not quite 2 week wait for us til fri, I got my sums wrong .

Loving the speculation about what you are interviewing for yellow don't tell us!! let us think you are an international spy or something ubber cool like that! Fingers still crossed though.
(All this finger crossing can't be good for us, we will all still be on here moaning about our arthritis in 10 years Wink )

yellowtomato · 16/02/2011 20:10

I could tell you what I do but then I'd have to kill you! It's actually not that exciting, have no idea why they are making such a fuss. Maybe cos they are foreign Grin is that a clue?

Wormshuffler · 17/02/2011 08:25

Hi girls
I am feeling all loved up, we managed to DTD again last night now I feel guilty for sulking (even though I don't think DH actually noticed I was Blush ) Bless 'im
Hope you are all ok

Sparklywine · 17/02/2011 08:46

Yellow, you are inteviewing for the position of Nanny to the Sultan of Brunei.
Hmmmm? Hmmmm? Am I close?

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 08:47

Hiya, can I join you? I need to find a thread to vent on and you ladies seem very nice.

I've been ttc for 2 years now. Have one DS who is 3. MC Jan 2010. Had a BFP on Valentine's Day but can't feel excited yet as am so scared of another miscarriage. I'm hoping posting on a thread like this will stop me boring DH all the time with my worries and symptoms.

Sparklywine · 17/02/2011 09:00

Hi Irene, welcome!

Congratulations on your bfp, lovely news and I hope the excitement hits you soon - when is your scan? You will find fellow preggers ladies on this thread, and a lot of filth from Wormie Grin The rest of us are stumbling along, having tedious athletic shagging sessions and necking 3 for 2 juices in the hope of a bfp soon.
Feel free to unburden, no worry is foolish, no symptom imagined.

Also, do you happen to know whether 'cleaning up' after the deed will undo all the good work of standing on one's head? This question occured to me last night, and is indicative of the level of dialogue herein Grin

Sparklywine · 17/02/2011 09:09

Pate importer? Master Sommelier?

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 09:21

[Wipes tomatoes off bourbon and dunks in decaf coffee]

Thanks Sparkly. No scan yet, I've not told the doctor. I can't bring myself to do it. I want an early scan seeing as I miscarried last time but memories of all the post I got from the hospital last time after I'd miscarried giving me midwife appointments and scan dates makes me shudder. But I'm in Scotland this time, not North London.

So glad to have a break from SWI. I doubt cleaning up would undo any good work. The winners in the great egg race should be right up there and not sullying the sheets.

yellowtomato · 17/02/2011 10:35

Morning all

sparkly not even close! Grin I would tell you but don't want to spoil all your fun. I also doubt 'cleaning up' would cause issues because the good, alpha swimmers would have already been well on their journey by then. I think laying down (or on your head) for 10/15 mins is good as is the erm finishing off afterwards as previously discussed but think if they are not in the rightish place after that it's too late for those ones. re fruit juice I think it's grapefruit before for EWCM and pineapple after for implementation, although not sure.......

worm I am impressed at your dedication, you too actually sparkly i think i'm just too old knackered for that level of action. Every other day is the best we can do. I am particularly impressed by worm feeling 'loved up' after all that action...i think you've got a keeper there! Grin

pecka what's the latest, any af/symptoms etc? Still got everything crossed for you.

And yoo hoo wombat weren't you going to test on Tuesday? Why are you keeping us all in suspense? Come on......share...

Welcome Irene congratulations on bfp...very jealous I can totally understand the fear though and know what you mean about the midwife appts etc cos I had the same experience (north London too!) You've very welcome here, we can do some good hand holding but even better filth! Grin

My shag-a-thon action will be starting on Sunday (to get rid of the old/alcohol soaked ones) but I realised the 'best' day is the day DP is going out on a drink-a-thon so we've compromised and he is going to come home at lunchtime for a quickie! Grin

I saw the acupuncturist last night and herbs have been ordered so hopefully get them soon. he said the first time taking them is a bit like marmite.....but you get used to it and may even start to like it. do you think that is his way of telling me that they'll taste grim?

Off to Pilates in a mo to try and find some zen like calm....and maybe some stomach muscles...well I am sure there must be some in there somewhere....

harassedinherpants · 17/02/2011 15:42

Hello, can I join you too?

I had a mmc and then an erpc in Jan, and have just started my first af. So we're back into fully blown swi'ing. Again. Took me 6 months to get my bfp, so really, really hoping not so long this time.

I'm 40, married to dh & live with our dd who's 4.5. I have ds1 who's 21, ds2 19 and dh has a dd who's 12. I also have 18mth old grandaughter!

I see a kinesiologist, so have seen her a couple of weeks ago and taking her potions to regulate hormones and get rid of this tiredness. I love alternative stuff!

yellowtomato · 17/02/2011 15:50

Hello harassedinherpants great name! I may need to just called you 'harrassed' or 'pants' or short...any preference? Grin

You're very welcome here.....we mainly had ERPC's or mc around Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec last year and some have been lucky enough to get bfp's already the rest of us are still SWI-ing like mad.

Wow that you've got a granddaughter....I'm ttc my first with just two mmc so far to show for it. Took me a year each time...

I'm trying the alternative route too with acupuncture and Chinese herbs.....I guess we'll see.....

harassedinherpants · 17/02/2011 16:03

Lol - either is just fine!! I have to confess the name wasn't of my making, but it's pretty apt.

I was very lucky with my 3, fell on the first month each time. Was 18 when I had ds1 and nearly36 when I had dd, so wasn't expecting dd to be so easy!

I do credit kinesiology with getting me my bfp in December, so fingers (not legs Wink) crossed it will work again.

Sparklywine · 17/02/2011 16:28

Hi Pants, I do not have enough tomatoes left to pelt at you and your already quite large family! Grin

Sorry you have found yourself here, but we are all very supportive, you are amongst friends, although you may not be as dirty like-minded as some!

Pull up a comfy chair and have a Brew and a bourbon.

Wormshuffler · 17/02/2011 16:30

Hello Newbies!!!
I am apparently the "filthy one" Blush
harrased big age gaps there! how does that work out for you, as there will be a 12 year gap between my DD and any bean I am able to produce in the next 6 months? Am guessing fine as you are doing it again!

sparkly did you really stand on your head afterwards Shock think you need a name change can i suggest stickyheadstand.

irene (if you are still here after that welcome!) congrats on the BFP, like the others said we have 3 others on here who are BFP but not daring to get excited so it's a good place for you.

Well must dash now......off to pack for holiday, I am way more excited than the kids! one more sleep!
xxx

Wormshuffler · 17/02/2011 16:32

Boobs actually.......... [tuts]....... get yer facts right sparky Wink

yellowtomato · 17/02/2011 16:39

wow worm that seems to have come around fast...how exciting to be off on your hols. How long are you away for again? Is it Disneyland (excuse my lack of remembering)

I don't think I could stand on my head.......I do sometimes attempt a half-hearted shoulder stand but that's about my limit.....

PECKA coo-eee, where are you? are you too busy POAS to talk to us today?
