Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

ok so that went well......on to the next stage which is a face to face next week! :)

Sparklywine · 11/02/2011 11:55

Well done Yellow! Wine
I have no news to speak of. AF very light, so got paranoid last night that my womb is not going to be suitably 'refreshed' for the next try. FFS. This has no basis in fact whatsoever. Told myself off, and had a large glass of wine. With a lickle bit of cheese.

pecka33 · 11/02/2011 14:32

wow yellow congrats!! Told you didnt i?? Ner ner ner ner.... Lol, next week i think they will fromally offer??
sparkly is this your first af since mc?? Mine was very light for the first two, now there back to normal.... I had my mmc in sept.

Update from me, decided to test today and got a bfn, kinda knew i would, im so upset about it today!!! Even had one of those pregnancy pampers updates today saying i would of been 34 weeks!!!! Which makes me even sader!!!!

My would of been due date is fast approaching and im getting more and more anxious?? Not sure on spelling...

Sorry to be so negative, im having a bad day today, finding every month im not pg difficult, maybe im just putting too much pressure on myself?? God why is it so hard!!!

Sparklywine · 11/02/2011 15:32

Hi Pecka, no, third AF and really regular (29 days, spot on) which is good at least. It's also helped in booking the odd random holiday around OV time so we can relax and get pissed make lurrrve.
Just wanted to say sorry you're having a down day, any reminder of the due date is always going to be upsetting. I've just worked out I'd be 31 weeks by now, what a weird thought.
I hope you have a better weekend, I know you're waiting on AF so it's quite tense, but try to relax and look forward to your May break, lucky you! What about Paris?

pecka33 · 11/02/2011 15:44

Ahh thanks sparkly there's not a lot of difference between our would be dates and where were both at then??
i've just ordered some ov sticks and the taking charge of your fertility book off amazon, feel like next month i'm going to crack this!!

i'm going to look at booking some time off around ov time then, thanks for that advice, i'm so stressed at work at the minute, its really not helping things..

well there again, when i got pg the last time in that week, my car got clamped and i got burgled and my car, laptop, camera with honeymoon shots were all stolen. so maybe the stress thing is'nt true??

were all meeting up tomorrow nyt to discuss holidays, i went to agents wednesday and got details on italy, got a fab deal £2500 for four of us, 10 days half board.... just hope they like it....

thanks for the bourbon, here's a big glass of red Wine

Thanks for the catch up, feel abit better now. waves to all xx

yellowtomato · 11/02/2011 18:12

Sorry you were feeling down today pecka glad you're feeling a bit better now. BFN's are always hard to take, that's why I try not to have any tests in the house cos if I have to actually go an buy one it usually helps me to wait! It's horrible to think about due dates and where we'd be now......i got an update from NHS choices telling me where I'd be up to......I was sure I'd unsubscribed.....it's upsetting.

Sounds like you've got a plan though which is good.

Re the job the next stage is interview which is on Monday and then apparently a further interview with 3 more people! It's endless.....

Where in Italy are you thinking of?

sparkly I find wine and cheese helps with most things. I'm expecting af on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wed depending on whether I have 28/8/30/31 day cycle.....I hate this last bit of waiting. I kind of had period feelings yesterday which I optimistically put down to 'activity' in there such as implantation bedding down and growth.....hmmm not sure there is any basis in fact for that but it's not over until it's over......and I'll have the herbs to look forward to next month which my friend tells me will stink the house out and taste awful.

Hope you are all have nice weekends planned.....i'm looking forward to starting the Wine in about 45 minutes.....Grin

kitkey · 11/02/2011 20:03

Sorry for my long absence ladies

Sparkly Sorry for AF
Pecka Sorry about the BFN - those damn pee sticks can dictate our mood so much.

Yellow Good news on job front - will keep everything crossed for you.

Think another mmc is going to be the story for me. Had a scan on Monday at 6+5 and all was ok -well they said so but to me the heart rate seemed a little slow at 122bpm - exactly the same as when I had the first scan with the mmc except I was nearly 8 weeks then. This week I have had a lot of cramping and now today spotting exactly the same as last time so I just "know" it has ended - managed to get a private scan tomorrow morning to find out for sure but feel so sad and angry. I can't even look at DH - I don't get a lot of comfort from him at stressful times like this so I like to be on my own. I won't have a ERPC this time as I got myself in a complete tissle last time. I think i might give up work as it is a toxic environment handling chemotherapy and people's waste products contaminated with it. Managed my last 2 pregnancies doing it but this time it is just not going right. A whole lot of life changes need to be made to a I feel like it is groundhog day.

Let you know result tomorrow but hold out very little hope that I am going to have wine and cry to sleep.

pecka33 · 11/02/2011 20:27

oh kitkey im so sorry, thats bloody terrible!!! Sorry dont know what else to say apart from lifes a cruel bitch sometimes...
Sorry to ask so many questions but is this your second mmc?? How far along were you the first time?? Do you have any children??
Not that any of my questions make a difference, but just curious, i try and work evrything out in my head for it to make sense, but this situation just doesnt make any sense does it???
Hope the wine helps, sending you a big virtual hug

yellow bloody ell its a long process isnt it?? Whats the job??

The italian holiday is in sottento, borderline amalfi coast, sorry if spelling not good. Xx

Wormshuffler · 11/02/2011 20:32

Oh Kitkey ......I don't know what to say, but couldn't let you go un answered. Life is very shit sometimes :( wine sounds like a very good idea to me, hugs for tomorrow xxxxxx

yellowtomato · 11/02/2011 22:12

Oh kitkey my heart goes out to you and I'm sending you hugs and all my love. So sorry you are facing this again and I'm crossing everything in the hope that you get positive news tomorrow. Please update us asap, I will be thinking of you. What time is the scan?

Lots of love and hugs, I have everything crossed for you.

Xx

yellowtomato · 12/02/2011 04:51

Af got mr Sad couldn't it have at least waited until morning rather than waking me up with cramps?

kitkey · 12/02/2011 11:28

Panic over for today -spotting stopped and been for the private scan- Heart rate 154 and fetus measures 12.1mm (1 whole cm) Was a bit scepitcal at the measurements as they "fit" the norm so nicely but i did see the heart action. What a panic!

yellowtomato · 12/02/2011 14:00

Oh kitkey that is fab news, what a relief. Hope you have a relaxing rest of the weekend.

pecka33 · 12/02/2011 20:13

Amazing news kitkey!!! You just made me cry a little you girls are like part of my friends circle at the minute so every piece of news is important....
I wish you an uneventfull rest of your pregnancy now kitkey after that news!!
Oh yellow what a bugger, early too??? Im still waiting on ilmine, can feel her building now though!!! Bitch witch!!

More news again today, saw a friend of mine today whilst having a relax shopping day with my friend, have you heard so and so,s new she says oh what about her and dh splitting up?? No she replies, shes pg!!
The first time theyve had sex for months and got pg!!!!
Fuck bugger fuck what a pile of fucking shit!!!! is wat i wasnted to say instead of ahhh what great new!!!

Lifes so unfair.

wombatinwaiting · 13/02/2011 05:48

Well a big holiday hellllllloooooooooooo to you all from the land of the long white cloud (also know as New Zealand)!! Having a really super time so far - lots to tell, but not much time on the laptop so will fill you in a bit later....

In the mean time, v sorry to sparkly and yellow for the red witch - v grrrrrr on your behalf.

Sparkly - hope the light period isn't making you too anxious. Sending many custard creams and jammy dodgers your way. Top advice re: booking hols around ov time - makes a biiiiiig difference.

yellow - VERY well done you on the job interviews - clearly you really impressed them first time round and on the phone too. Will be thinking of you next week when you have your next face to face. Please keep us posted.

pecka - good to hear your updates. Can highly recommend the Amalfi coast too (pretty expensive though) and Tuscany / Umbria area which have loads of different accommodation options. I wouldn't bother with the East coast of Italy - west is much better. Have you considered island hopping around the Greek Islands or Croatia? WEll done for all your work on diet and book ordering.

worm - fingers crossed for a holiday baby for you - not long now for you!

kitkey - what an up and down time! Sooooo happy that the heartbeat has raced up and you got a good measurement - here's hoping fot a less stressful next few months (yeah right.....!)

mana - gosh re: your possible twin - must draw some real mixed emotions...... how are things now? Do you get another scan soon?

strawberry - yay, yay and yay for your BFP - absolutely thrilled for you! Sending many sticky vibes your way.

Anxious about posting anything more in case I lose all this so will do another update in a mo with news from down under.

wombatinwaiting · 13/02/2011 06:08

Sorry nurse - missed you off the above. Hope you're hanging in there and all is well. Keep popping back with your updates when you can.

Apols to anyone else I may have missed - big wave.

So, I have been thinking about you ladies a lot while we've been away and wondering how you're getting on and also dying to share some funny stories with you......

So, I thought that ov time would probably be around the time we were in Hong Kong (we had 2 nights there before coming to NZ) - thought the place was brilliant - so vibrant. Didn't get any EWCM though until our last day by which time we had checked out of our hotel and were at a friend of DH's - I was seriously considering asking if we could borrow a bedroom but I had only met him the previous day! Started to despair as weren't flying til about 6 hours later and then had an 11 hour flight to NZ.... however, we are lucky enough to be flying biz class (now that DH is at the lofty heights of General Manager, he gets biz class flights home for the 2 of us as part of his package - yay!) and in the biz class lounge at HK airport, they had these wonderful shower / bathroom units - we sidled up to to the nice lady on the desk with the towels wondering if she would notice if we snuck into the same room together and then she asked if we would like 2 separate rooms or were happy with one - we simultaneously said 1 immediately and giggled away like mad as we had a real quickie! Shower, towel down and back to the lounge for a celebratory glass of complimentary champers! Grin

Once we arrived in NZ we went to DH's mums place and decided we should give it another go even though we may have passed the ov point, we had single beds, the walls were paper thin and we were knackered. So we did and almost managed to fall off the mattress! If we have been successful this month though, we will definitely put it down to the HK shower!

AF due tomorrow so we bought an HPT today while we were out by ourselves today as we're with mum and dad at the mo.... might leave it til tuesday though although the temptation to get a BFP on Valentines day would be lovely. Will be sure to keep you posted!

That's about it for now. We've had a relatively quiet day today after a major hike through the Marlborough Sounds - and when I say major, it was 16 miles! Stunning, stunning place though - see this link for some general pics of the area!

I've missed catching up with you all on a regular basis and send lots of hugs and glasses of fabulous NZ Sauvignon Blanc Wine - it's deeeeeeelish! x

Wormshuffler · 13/02/2011 07:29

Hi Girls
hello wombat we missed you!! Loving the story about the mile high club, I have everything crossed for a BFP for you, and am going to rack my brains for a mile high club/hong knog name...... Millie? sounds like you are having an amazing time anyway :)
kitkey glad you had a great scan! I feel a bit guilty now for assuming the worst when you had a little bit of spotting.
I feel for you pecka with your friend and her easily falling PG, A lady in RL has just had a new baby and has called it one of the names I like ggrrr.
Well I just did and ovulation calender and if we were successful it would be a 11/11/11 due date !! I know I am getting waaay ahead of myself there....we have certainly been going for it although it hard to tell if any EWCM because of all the "love juice"

Sparklywine · 13/02/2011 09:56

OMG, just read really fast to find Kitkey's scan results - sounds a lot more promising for you Kitkey, how are you feeling today? All of us are dreading the worst, aren't we? I am keeping everything crossed that your body settles down now and nourishes beany.
Wombat, yay, missed you! 16 miles, you nutter.
No news from me, af on it's way out so will try and have a healthy week next week and try again, but not setting too much store by it. Anyone read the thread about can you be pregnant and still get af? Yes, said someone, and I thought ooooh, that could be me, that's why it's so light, it's implantation! FFS.
Hope everyone has a cosy day, thanks for the custard creams Wombat, mmmmmm.

wellieboots · 13/02/2011 12:11

Ladies!
Can I join you again, even though I now live in the land down under?!
Good luck with the job yellow
Kitkey so pleased it was good news for you

Sorry just done a very quick catch up - hope everyone else is well, I promise to be more attentive next time, too much to catch up on all the goss from the last 3 weeks!

My news - officially we are ttc again, got first AF almost 7 weeks post op, but this month is not going to be a success as we are so busy tired and stressed following the move - still unpacking, no jobs yet, and DH's grandma died today, so we have too many other things to think about Sad

Did have a bit of a "day in bed" yesterday which was very nice, but probably too early in cycle to mean anything as far as ttc is concerned.

Hope everyone's having a great sunday x

Wormshuffler · 13/02/2011 18:08

Hi wellie good to see you again, to fill you in we have had 3 bfp's in nurse mamamana and kitkey :) so its a lucky thread! Sorry about DH's grandma.
Hi everyone (waves)

yellowtomato · 14/02/2011 09:06

hello wombat glad you're having a good holiday and I am very impressed with your dedication to the ttc cause......fingers crossed for testing day tomorrow.

pecka you are right, it's not fair.....grrrr...any sign of af? Fingers crossed for you too.

worm 'love juice' made me snigger...have you ov'd yet so you can give it a rest or are you still going at it? It's exhausting all this ttc business isn't it? Did you do any of your famous 'worm shuffling' this time?

sparkly healthy week sounds like a good plan. I've spent the weekend literally drowning my sorrows...need to get back on the straight and narrow now. Acupuncture and herbs and zen like calm and positive thinking. Or something.

Welcome back wellie and well done for having survived the move. Sorry about DHs grandma..it does sound like a stressful time for you. At least you got your af back which is good sign.

Right must stop messing about on here and get ready for my next interview........when will it ever end??

pecka33 · 14/02/2011 12:09

welcome back wellie to reiterate yellow sorry bout dh grandma, hope your keeping well??
worm im hoping all well thought about ttc action pays off for you this month, when is af due??

yellow shes due today but no sign yet, i can feel her brewing though, have tummy ache today and a shooting pain up my leg, classic sign....

i ov'd on the 2nd of feb so think af may come tomorrow rather than today, so will wait and see...

good luck with the interview prep, hope you girls are aving a lovely valentines day and been spoilt so far...

speak soon.. x

Wormshuffler · 14/02/2011 14:36

Hi girls
I don't actually know if I have OV'd yet as I am not temping or using sticks , but I did feel extra randy last night and had a pain in my right side ovary whilst "at it" which google reckons means I am ovulating. It's CD11 out of 28 , and I had it in my head day 10 was the usual day? It's been 5 nights on the trot now and I will 'try' again tonight although not sure if DH still as keen bless him! AF is due March 4th whilst on way back from florida......
Hope the red witch stays away from you pecka
Good luck with the interview you wil be fine yellow you have had your share of bad luck now it time for the good luck!
Hi everyone else xxxxx

nurse47 · 14/02/2011 19:22

Sorry girls really quick post as DH is taking me out for a valentines treat! Feel awfull though as all day sickness has well and truly kicked in, threw up in the middle of the supermarket last week, very embarrassing!!
Good news scan showed a little baby, moving around, and its little heart beating away and measuring 6weeks and 1 day which is spot on what I am, I cried when the sonographer told me! I know I'm not out of the woods but its positive for at this point, have my booking in appointment in two weeks and next scan in five!!
Will catch up proper later when I get back in, have I missed anything? Any news?
