Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

yellowtomato · 02/02/2011 09:15

Hello ladies I am just having a coffee in pret, will be going in about 10 mins. Thanks for the support!

manamana · 02/02/2011 15:51

Hi Yellow, hope it went well.
I had good news and some weird news today. Had more spotting over the past couple of days and got myself into a bit of a state, GP referred me to EPU and went for a scan this morning. One healthy 7wk baby with a heartbeat which was a massive relief, amazing to see the heartbeat. But also something else which they think may have been another sac which didn't make it. Its either that or a bleed. Either way that's what the spotting was and it means it may continue for a bit. All a bit surreal, feel sad that there may have been another one and that one didn't make it, and worried that it might be a bleed and what does that mean. And... last one was fine until 9 and a half weeks so I still feel v detached from it all and not able to get excited. Very busy in my head. Anyway, going to roam around and see if I can find any useful similar experiences. Hope everyone else is ok and have a lovely hol wombat.

Sparklywine · 02/02/2011 16:25

Hi manamana, lovely that you got to see an actual baby and a little heart beat. Must have been a magical moment. I can see why you want to detach as much as possible though. Perhaps dumb question, but if it had started out as twins, do they have their own sac then? If that's the scenario then yes it is sad but something must have happened so very very early. Technology is a wonderful thing, but had you not had the scan you'd never have known, so can't deal with 'what if's' or it would drive you mad. This is probably practical but of scant consolation when emotions are so high, just thought I'd chunter on cluelessly helpfully Grin
Hope you have found some reassuring stories if it's a bleed; from my copious and often morbid research into worst case scenarios I don't think it is uncommon. Have they said for you to go back if it continues?
Hugs and biscuits to you x

yellowtomato · 02/02/2011 17:02

manamana how lovely to see the heartbeat! Sorry about the weird news but hopefully it doesn't mean anything bad...be careful with Googling because it can be helpful but can be the opposite too. Big hugs coming your way.

So the interview went well and I've been invited back on Friday......hurrah! So you'll need to keep your fingers crossed a bit longer!

Sooooo who's got some symptoms they'd like to discuss? I have.........erm none! Tee hee....bit early for that I guess.

manamana · 02/02/2011 20:21

Thanks sparkly, i love bourbons. Great news yellow, sounds v positive!
Have got more brown blood and little 'bits' so I guess that's consistent with what they said. She said I could see more. Still got the periody pains. Plenty of good and bad stories re what is apparently called a 'vanishing twin' and a simple 'bleed'. Have no idea what's going to happen so just going to put it all to the back of my mind for a bit, will probably give mnet a break for a few days. So sending some good luck for swi hugs and keeping my fingers crossed for some strong symptoms soon... take care all.

pecka33 · 02/02/2011 22:02

manamana 9.5 weeks with a heart beat is very good news, what stage did you reach with your last pf?? I read someone where if you see a healthy heart beat after 8 weeks, its all progressing well.....
I think the good news is you know where the bleeding is coming from and its not associated with your currently baby, so congrats, im pleased alls progressing well.
yellow fab news!!! Fingers doubled crossed for friday.
Sparkly i love bourbons, can i steal one??... There goes the pre-baby diet...
Symptom watch day one, sensitive nipples, thought of day, is this because im ovulating?? Or perculating a bud?? evening all xxx

yellowtomato · 03/02/2011 11:07

So i've been feeling a bit sick today and yesterday.....too early? I'm only 4 dpo! Grin

And very tired...nothing to do with having a busy week!

Temping is already doing my head in......if I wake up slightly in the night, say 5am my head immediately starts worrying whether I should take my temp then or not.....whereas normally i'd just go straight back to sleep...arrghh!

yellowtomato · 04/02/2011 08:40

Where has everyone gone? Did you all sneak into wombat's suitcase? Grin

so did you test today sparkly?

How you doing nurse, manamana and kitkey?

pecka how have your symptoms developed?

star did you get to the doctors and did they have anything helpful to say?

worm how you doing?

MrsB33 I think we're at the same point in our cycles, af due 14th? Any symptoms?

wellie, strawberry hope you are both ok too.

Nothing to report here symptom wise (for a change!) i have 2 more interviews (at same co.) this am, then hopefully they'll make a decision. Hopefully they'll make the right decision! Grin I'm a bit worried that working full time in an office might cut into my MN time though! Maybe I should ask them about their internet use policy........

StrawberryCreamTea · 04/02/2011 09:31

Hi ladies, hope you're all well...

Sorry I've been so sparse with my mn-ing lately, I've been mentalling furiously during the 2ww and have only allowed myself the odd post in Charters to try and get some advice on my brand-new shiny chart.

And yesterday... I got a bfp! Grin

I'm sure you'll all understand (especially here) the mix of complete terror that's in there with my delight, I so want to get excited but the fear of crushing disappointment and another mc is large in my mind too.

Although it made me obsessive, I'd really recommend charting. Turns out I actually ovulate on cd20, not cd14 as I'd always assumed! It was such a nail-biting feeling during the 2ww to watch my temps drop then come back up again - I could think of nothing else!

Thank you for all the lovely support you've given me here xx

Am still watching and thinking of you all of course, sending big hugs and especial ones to yellow, you're such a positive lady, it's inspiring how you're dealing with your setback and I feel convinced that you're going to get your bfp regardless of what that doc says. xx

PS, sorry if this post is littered with spelling mistakes, am doing it from my phone...!

yellowtomato · 04/02/2011 09:42

woweee strawberry whooo hooooo........just what we need round here...a lovely bfp! congratulations. I can completely understand the mix of terror and delight you must be feeling....please hang around and we can hold your hand.

Interesting what you said about charting...i just started this month. Didn't start until CD12 but there is def a drop on CD14 and it has been up ever since. so with my limited understanding I think that does mean ov occurred. (well that's what ff thinks too!) Only problem I have is if I now slightly wake up my first thought is 'must temp' and then I look at the time and it's only 5am.....so then I'm not sure whether to do it then or go back to sleep and then it stops me going back to sleep etc....v annoying indeed. I think before if I stirred a bit at 5am i didn't really wake, just went straight back to sleep. I'm hoping my mind/body will get used to the idea so that I can continue sleeping....

Anyway, that's enough waffle.....i'm so excited and happy for you.

StrawberryCreamTea · 04/02/2011 10:01

Yellow I was exactly the same with the temping! I always tried to do it in a 7-7.30am window, but by halfway through the 2ww I was so desperate to find out where I was for the day I was waking at 5, 6am and then just lying there willing myself back to sleep til 7! I found I was still getting a pattern from that though, so don't worry, you should too...

I also found that it totally affected my mood for the day, I had a real temp drop over three days or so (roughly 6-9dpo) and was convinced it was over, then on day 10 it started to rise again and go even higher! I didn't allow myself to poas till 15dpo at the earliest though so it wouldn't be a crushing disappointment.

Sounds like you're doing well with your chart, especially if ff has given you an ov date (if it isn't totally sure it doesn't seem to do that?).

Will post a link to my chart so you can have a peek...

xx

StrawberryCreamTea · 04/02/2011 10:04

My chart here

Sparklywine · 04/02/2011 10:11

Strawbs, congratulations! What lovely news! It has fairly cheered me up.

I got a bfn this morning for my poas-friday treat, but to be expected as af is not due until early next week. I'm also feeling a bit pmt-ish, all bloaty and teary. Quite fat too, sure my thighs were chafing the other day. That's not good, is it? Grin So do not feel positive that this is the month, might be back for advice on charting next week. Can you not temp at 5am then, when do you have to do it?
Yellow, hope round two goes well and you get the news you want.
I shall be back in more bouyant spirits when my head clears of mucus (damn grapefruit juice Grin)

Sparklywine · 04/02/2011 10:13

Heh heh, nosed at incomprehensible chart, mine would just be a sea of turquoise Grin

Wormshuffler · 04/02/2011 10:53

Hi Ladies
Wow another BFP excellent news strawberry and with all that temping etc sounds lke you have been putting in just about as much effort as it is possible to do! and as for OV on CD 20 that throws all the books out of the window hey?!
yellow fingers crossed for the new job thing.....who knows a full time job may be just the thing to keep your mind occupied and that much desired BFP will come along for you too.
Still early days for a BFP yet sparkly I have never had one before AF was due in all 3 of my pregnancies.
I have still been here lurking as usual yellow as I havn't had anything interesting to say. Today though my AF showed up, which is fine as we weren't TTC this month. So it is right on the nose of 28 day cycle. So I am as of now officially TTC!!! Florida 2 weeks today :o . If I manage to conceive whilst going on 2 long haul flights, all those rides and water slides it will be a miracle, but no harm in trying ey? apparently its just a bunch of cells at that stage and can't be harmed? So off to boots today to get all the pregnecare type stuff. With my DD and DS and last PG I only used folic acid, but given that I just M/C'd now 10 years older maybe I need more help, i remember the last time I had my bloods tested (for something un TTC) they said my potasium was low) but didnt seem overly worried at the time.
How are you pecker and star
Hope our recent BFP's mana nurse and kitkey are still ok?
Have a nice weekend girls
xxxx

Sparklywine · 04/02/2011 12:40

Hi Wormy - brazil nuts are good for potassium I hear. Yes, I have put on half a stone but my hair is super glossy! Grin
Thanks for the reassurance re the bfn, we all know that testing before af is pissing money down the drain a tad premature but the sticks call from the drawer! "Yoohoo! Over here! Wet me wet me!"

What stuff are you getting in Boots Worm?

pecka33 · 04/02/2011 16:08

Hiya ladies, ive been lurking as nothing exciting to add, af not due till 14th yellow mrsb33 is me, pecka is my name change, so yes were cycle buddies, symptoms aee just extra sensitive nipples and a headache, like a period headache is that makes sense???
strawberry congrats on your news!! Wow this is turning into a lucky thread, fingers crossed for the rest of us xx
sparkly maybe your bfn is just too early, think positive
yellow all seems quite positive will keep everything crossed for you.
Started on my pregnecare tablets yest and extra iron as im always tired just lately, and brazil nuts, anything that can help im going to give it ago...
Off to a wooden lodge for the weekend with my girlies so check in with you all monday. Enjo your weekend ladies .

Waves to all ive missed x

yellowtomato · 04/02/2011 17:09

hey pecka I don't know where my brain is sometimes.....i knew that! doh! Hope you have a great weekend.

i think my chart has a bit more turquoise too...but I've only been doing it for about a week my chart

sparkly re charting the advice is that you are meant to be asleep for at least 3 hours before you chart and you should aim for the same time each day. And take it as soon as you wake up before you get up. But today I woke up at 5 so I thought that was too early. I fell into a restless sleep until 6.30 when my temp was 97.90 and then I kind of dozed until my normal time of 7.30 when I took my temp again and it was 98.2.....so not sure what that means but I think it's related to the heating coming on! It does seem to change a lot depending on what time it is taken.

I take pregnacare and have done for 2 1/2 years....:(

Anyway, i think the interviews went well but who can tell. I was hoping they'd call me this afternoon but looks like either I wasn't successful or I'll have to wait until next week to find out. Boo!

What fun things are you lovely ladies doing this weekend?

pecka33 · 04/02/2011 17:36

yellow not sure how the chart thingy works, but just took a look at it, it looks promising doesnt it?? Doesnt your temp increase when youve ovulated and implanted??
Ive not done it yet, have a them but got frustrated with it, may give it ago next month is i get a bfn, hopefully i wont, you never know, trying my best to be positive.....
My knowledge of friday interviews is that they have another person in the mix so need a weekend to consider, its great that youve had a second interview so looks promising to me, so keep thinking positive you never know, you could be exactly what theyre looking for.....
My experience of pregnacare was when i was pregant for that short period it made me hurl!!! So maybe this time will be different, only been taking them for one day so far, taking them on a night as mornings arent good for me.

Hello everyone else, sorry not put any individual posts, very difficult on my phone. X

yellowtomato · 04/02/2011 18:47

Hey pecka you're right, they probably need the weekend....I know one of the decision makers was out of the office this afternoon too....we'll have to keep fingers crossed a bit longer!

Re temp rise, I think it just indicates ov not anything else. But i've just started doing it and haven't read all the explanations! Who reads instructions anyway???
