A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

lady sorry for your pants day yesterday :( I can totally understand why you're feeling down-I think it's hard not to plan stuff when you get the BFP and then the passing of time just underlines how things didn't pan out as expected :( hope you had a good day at the museum-good weather for indoor fun! hehe rabbit clock that says when it's ok to get up sounds cool!!

I am feeling like a domestic goddess today-just cooked up some homemade chicken soup for tomorrow lunchtime! I also made 'qi-tonifying' flapjack but it's more like crumble topping than flapjack, any ideas what I did wrong? Anyway being allowed flapjack, no matter how crumbly, on a detox is pretty exciting!!!

Velvetcu · 14/11/2010 15:44

I give up!! AF has arrived despite temps still high meaning this is a 26 day cycle. I have no chance of finding a pattern with such random lengths so I am quitting while I've got some sanity left.

Hopefully I will get lucky at some point but for now I'm giving the stress a break and leaving it in the lap of the gods!

PinkFondantFancy · 14/11/2010 15:50

Awww velvet so sorry hun :( if temps stay high I think you should see dr tho-I'm going from memory but think tcoyf says something about that and it might mean your progesterone levels are high. Don't know what the implications of that are tho. Oh and also did you poas? It just that someone round here, sorry can't remember who, had a proper period while in early pregnancy with one of their dc's..... Xx

youremindmeofthebabe · 14/11/2010 16:00

Ooh, pink that soup sounds good, I've just made nigella's sweet and salty chocolate bars, which are delish(well, I am permitted, I'm on my period). Usually when my flapjacks are crumbly there's not enough "sealant" in it, so golden syrup, butter etc. Although if they're made without them, then thats probably why! Fx for you testing soon!

Ok here, day 2 of full flow. I'm sure it gets a little heavier each month. I've bought cider and chocolate and gonna have a roast for tea. I feel a bit down, but it'll pass. I'm definately having next month off though. I don't want to deny myself all the fun xmas has to offer, and still maybe end up with a BFN (wuss)

I agree re Wagner, nix and wiggle. It's terrible. I'm going to be sad if he gets through at the expense of somebody good, although, Mary, Paije and Katie and manybe Cher can all cock off first, IMHO.

ladybee sorry you're feeling low. It really doesn't help when things come and go that should be marked by other events, iyswim. I think big boy bed is a little bitter sweet anyway, because they're getting older. Ds is 4 in a fortnight, and it makes me feel really a bit sad. I'm so lucky to have him, but you know what i mean.

dachs that's fab news, I am really chuffed. I hope they blastocyte for you!

velvet it all sounds very promising! Eeek!

Hope everyone else is well, off to read the Sunday papers and have a little cry!

youremindmeofthebabe · 14/11/2010 16:02

Oh, sorry velvet Xpost. Has your temp dipped too?

loola2shu · 14/11/2010 16:05

Hello, Sorry I have been MIA!

I think I have missed most if not all of the last thread, so I have no idea where everyone's at!

I am currently CD21 with no sign of Ov yet but last 2 cycles have been 40 and 42 days respectively, and I always have a 14cd luteal phase, so i am expecting ov to appear in a week(ish)

I'll go and read backover to catch up, I can never keep up with you chatterboxers though!!

Velvetcu · 14/11/2010 16:34

No YRMOTB they are still high! Actually at the highest it's been all month.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/11/2010 17:12

velvet it was me! I had a proper period when pg with ds, didn't notice any difference whatsoever, and assumed bfn. Next af was lighter so I poas'd and bfp. Had an early scan, thought I should have been 6.5 weeks but turned out to be 9!

I think with me it was because I ov at a weird time sometimes, but the point is it's not always straightforward. It's definitely odd for your temps to stay or go up. Maybe see how AF pans out but if it's lighter than normal or temps stay up I would be tempted to poas in a few days.

Big (((hugs))) to you anyway, it sounds like you need them. I really hope you stick around and we see some good news for you soon x

((( ladybee ))) sorry you're having a tough time. It is so hard watching the time go by and remembering what would have been. Hope you're ok x

nicks yay! On the 2ww already - let the mentalling begin!

Best wishes to pink and anyone else waiting to POAS.

(((hugs))) to YRMOTB have to admit I'm not doing very well with the detox, maybe I should put in a bit more effort [guilty emoticon]

inbetweener let us know how you get on at dr tomorrow

nickstermum · 14/11/2010 17:38

proper catch up later,,,, feet up with DS for ten before his bath & bed.... all 'wackied' out! Confused

Velvetcu · 14/11/2010 17:45

thanks Izzy I know it can happen and I don't understand why my temps are still high (and I have checked again this evening) but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

PFF thanks for the hugs - I don't think there is a problem with progesterone as I have been temping since 2 days before last AF and they were low then and had a very clear shift up.

Sorry for the mememe it's just annoying that I have no idea about when I'm supposed to SWI coz of random cycles so I have no control. I'm going to continue with FF so at least I have something to show a doctor in a few months if I decide to go.

youremindmeofthebabe · 14/11/2010 18:40

you know what you need to do, right?? Poas fmu tomorrow. See whats going on. You'll be 13 dpo, won't u then?X

nickstermum · 14/11/2010 20:25

hey velvet, totally understand your frustration re lack of control :( have faith! If your temps are still up thats a sure fire way identifying pg! bleed or not!

Whats the bleed like - heavy and clotty or light? sorry if tmi!

babessorry you are in full flow :( i cannot stand wagner katie although cher is growing {(like mould)

I wanted to share with you my other OV signs on top of the obvious to see whether you guys get them at all... or whether its cos reading TCOYF i am now more heightened to senses!

I get

Jelly legs (get this around ov, AF and during pg/mc and i think its related to progesterone falling or oestrogen rising
Swollen fat bits down there
and the desire to hump a lamp-post (provided it contains swimmmers!!) I have never had those sensations so heightened before, in additition to ewcm, high cervix and temping so i thought i would share them!!

Plus also,.... to anyone else on the 2WW pineapple juice apparently makes your womb lining really sticky! (and thats the reason for drinking it!!)

MamaPower · 14/11/2010 20:27

Did ya miss me, did ya?? lol! Well I missed you all.
Welcome newbies, hope you are all enjoying the support from the thread :)
OK, so I know you only want one piece of info and I'm so jet lagged that's all I can manage; I'm afraid the old biatch got me, on my sis in-laws wedding day too! Still, I spent the day eating nurofen like smarties and knocking them back with champagne... every cloud!!!
The list updated below. Here's a thought, if I get upduffed this cycle the bean was made in KL, fingers crossed cause that dreaded due date is getting closer and closer!

Also, BFP for inbetweener I see, yay! congrat's sweets x

Will try and catch up tomorrow x

Just like to start by saying: Yes! You were all right! Grin
After much procrastination and general rubbishness I finally poas and got my BFN. Phew, and just like you all said I feel so much better for getting it over with. Of course this just means I can go back to obsessing over preg symptoms and moaning about not having a BFP...Happy Times Grin

Dach I am terribly excited for you! Wow, I don't know anything about these things but six sounds pretty darn good to me. Hope it all goes well Smile

Sorry AF got you LadyBee Sad.
velvet I think that if your temps are still high you should test as you can still bleed in early pregnancy...right?

Hope the 2WW is a lucky one for you nix

nickstermum · 14/11/2010 20:38
Grin

welcome back gorgeous-lady hope you had an awesome time.... show us your white bits!! Grin sorry AF came, i was rooting for an ozzie bean for you :(

Will someone please vote off wagner or katie....perlease.....!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/11/2010 20:50

Welcome back mamap !!!!! Sorry AF got you, but it's lovely to hear from you again and I'll keep my fx for a KL bean for you!

Take That were amazing, I am so Envy of those of you with tickets - I tried and failed Sad

even worse, I actually had tickets for them once before, on their first reunion tour in 2006, also tickets to see Robbie separately about a month later, and had to miss both due to arrival of dd, so am absolutely gutted to have missed out again but at least can reassure you all that TT tickets are a guarantee of updiffage and impending baybee by date of tour Grin

Velvetcu · 14/11/2010 21:28

Welcome back mamap cold innit:)

New update from me - bleeding has frikkin stopped! Not hopeful of being of but at least it gives me a longer cycle length. Not gonna poas anytime soon I would rather not know if it's gonna end badly anyway.

Am really gutted that Aiden has gone on x factor he was my fav :-(

nickstermum · 14/11/2010 21:40

Day for it.... Aiden out and toss pot vettel won the grand prix championship grrrrrrrr!!

Izz have a gander on eBay, ticket prices have stabilised, only about 80 quid now :) agree tt were incredible :)

Predictable for simon to save cheryls act huh?!

mousebacon · 14/11/2010 21:42

Realy got my fingers crossed for you velvet xx

Good luck dachs hope it goes really well for you.

Nothing to report here (bored emoticon) just want to ov!!!

Mucho love, mouse x

AandRMum · 14/11/2010 22:35

Welcome back MamaP Sad af sucks but guzzling champagne sounds great - nothing worse than being the only sober one at a wedding!!

Dachs I am egging Hmm on your eggs -

I have decided nothing is happening this month as am symptomless so have been happily drinking coffee and wine , sushi etc etc. Am feeling remarkably cheery and content with the world - what's that all about!!!

velvet how incredibly confusing - fx it ends in a BFP.

Hiding glad you managed it. A surreal experience but nice to know where you are at - sort of.

nix other than ewcm, I had the ov cramp thing, sore boobs with some sharp pains, intense tiredness, I have had the ov bleed before. I don't temp but am generally very regular (may have changed now but am pretty sure I ov'd on day15 right on time)

Babe (acronym eludes me at the mo as does my spelling of the word!) I completely get the idea of a month off. Enjoy all your goodies

It looks like the next week or so is going to be busy with plenty of POAS action! Pink how are you doing?

mouse I had a very clear image of you popping your head out of a Tom&Jerry-esque mousehole and then scuttling back in!

mousebacon · 14/11/2010 22:36

Grin xx

nickstermum · 14/11/2010 22:46

AR i have never had so many ov sysmptoms before its bizarre! funny you saying delish..DS been saying that all day....satsuma monster, with every bite...delishious! or elicious as he says it Grin

Ladybee · 14/11/2010 23:04

Hi Pink & Velvet I am full of optimism on your high temping behalves. Velvet even in the face of your implantation bleedsupposed period NEWS FLASH: which has now stopped: I am going to be optimistic as long as your temp stays high. So no plummeting. And if it stays high tomorrow and no bleeding, can you test? go on, Just for me. pleeeeeeeese?
Pink I considered the fanjo temp for, oooohhh, about 2 seconds when I thought maybe having my arms out of the covers was causing my lower temps this cycle. Nah...don't do it.
Honestly, go and have a look at some other people's charts, guaranteed to make you feel better about your own - there's are some crazy temps out there Grin
velvet how many days past ov are you?
hi loola glad you found as again.

So is it grapefruit juice before ov and then pineapple juice after?
I'm thinking of getting some natural progesterone cream. I have really really slow rises and big dips in my luteal phase, and my luteal phase used to be 13 days always and shortened to just 10-11 days so I've decided to try some cream to see whether that helps stabilise things and lengthen it slightly. Will give it a go anyway.

nickster I don't get those but I do get my own personal one. Every month a bit before ov, I look in the mirror and think, "huh, you look curiously good. What's going on with your skin and hair? why can't it be like all the time?" That lasts about 10 secs, I shrug and then generally get a peak the next morning Grin

mamaP we did miss you! welcome back!

Tigger if you're lurkily lurking just wanted to know that I thought of you when my DS started talking about tiggers at the Nat His museum today.

Which, by the way, was a brilliant day out - there's an ice-skating rink there at the moment, and a carousel. I took DS for his first ride on the carousel and he was just scared and excited enough by the dinosaur exhibition, and he used the toilets on the train coming in, and behaved well at the cafe and didn't have an accident even when we had to wait a little for the loo afterwards and then fell asleep in the buggy and stayed asleep all the way home which meant DH & I could relax with a cup of tea when we got back. All in all, a successful day out. Grin

I feel more chipper today, guess my hormone crash is over and the 'maybe this time' song is starting up in my head again.

HongKongBaby · 14/11/2010 23:10

Hello all - struggling to keep up with all the chat here!

Good luck to Dachs, sounds positive so far.

Sorry to all those that AF has caught up with, its miserable isn't it? I started spotting yesterday CD39 and had a good old cry about it, much to DH's bemusement! 12 months trying for us now which I must admit never expected. Does anyone know if long cycles like this mean not ovulating?

Velvet also don't want to get your hopes up but I had 'normal' periods at start of both my pregnancies and did not test until couple of weeks after when other symptoms clued me in.

Take care everyone x

nickstermum · 14/11/2010 23:31

HK i have long cycles but always seem to ov, just later. try temping or opk'ing. helping me!! Took me much longer to conceive the last pg because we were swi'ing at the wrong time!

Great you feel chipper bee... only wishing my hair and skin would look good for even 1 day a month Grin

night!
