A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

inbetweener I would second MummyA re heading to doctors or at least informing them on the phone - more to do with making sure you can get an early scan if you want one. It seems to take an age to get the doctors paperwork through to the hospital and they can't book the scan unless the paperwork is there ... very grrr.

Hi HK welcome. Sorry you are here but make yourself at home - Nix has outdone herself with decorating the thread

appleblossoms · 12/11/2010 18:32

Wow, 9 eggies dachs that sounds very good news! Fx for lots of dividing and multiplying and whatever else eggs are supposed to do!! Hope you get some rest.
Nice to see you back pretty, did you enjoy your break Wink I know, I know, you missed us so much you couldn't keep away! Grin
betweener I haven't been brave enough to join the grads thread yet...i reckon this stage is actually TTC part 2, not real pregnancy! And i'd second, or is it third by now, the advice to at least call the doctor soonish to get in the system. I had to fight a bit for my early scan, but my mw arranged it for me after I saw her at 8 weeks.
mamap have you poas? I'm in full on suspenders that you've brought back a sneaky something extra tucked inside! Have you got anything to declare?!
Sorry for the recent bfn's, but inbetweener's our very own proof it's not over till it's over!
I feel for you izzy, they wouldn't take our new kingsize mattress upstairs so poor DH had to do it on his own as I was 6 months preggo at the time!
Right bedtime for DS...is it too early for me to join him do you think?!
Friday evening waves to all. x

AandRMum · 12/11/2010 18:44

Arghh I missed a whole page and what a page to miss ... Grin Grin Izzy PQ almost fell off my chair laughing at mattress antics!! Always reassuring it is not only our household where things like that happen!! Dh and I have a rule that whoever sees the cat puke first has to clean it up .... I am pretty sure the cat pikes under our bed but both of us are in a stand off over it ... I have hid his uggs under there in the hope he sees it whilst searching for them!

Dachs 9 eggs is brilliant - here's hoping they are happy healthy bfping ones!!! Twins, triplets maybe?!?

turnnock in my new self appointed role of chief dpo symptom spotting ... feeling like your af is on its way early is def a sign (nods safely)

AandRMum · 12/11/2010 18:44

Or even nods sagely ...

nickstermum · 12/11/2010 18:45

Izzy have you worn that mattress out already with all your shagathon action my lovely??? Grin Grin Grin Envy

Gin @ pooping mutts and peeing pussies! My furry babies were banned from sleeping on our bed in the night after they took up wrestling in the middle of the night, in the middle of the bedHmm thus waking me from said slumber!

dachs i did post earlier about the 9 eggs but my phone seems tohave eaten it! 9 WHOOP!!! For all the nasty drugs, injections, undignified times with legs in stirrups it will all be worth it to see them fertilise and take shape :) Do you know how many you will want to transfer?, could you cope with twins? My friend had 2 transferred each time and ended up with a beautiful daughter..just one!

Has had a lovely afternoon with a bucket of wallpaper paste and a three-nager! (boy oh boy has he become a threenager overnight too!)

pretty good to see you back maluvvy! Noo job noo hoose..... comes in threes dontcha know....noo baybee next Grin and if anyone deserves one, you do ;)

apples, good to see you are ok and inbetween, good to see you are sicky!
Fondant are your temps still high chicka?
bee i do think too much knowledge can be a pain, finding the balance is needed i think! sorry you feel bemused.... if the AF is coming roll on next one :(

Wish me luck with my seduction plan ladeees...Grin

AandRMum · 12/11/2010 19:03

You can borrow my glittery, flashing (giggle, giggle behind the hand) suspenders Nix... do you know I only a couple of posts ago realised I have been mixing up suspenders and braces ... it is quite disconcerting to realise my flashing lights are in such close proximity to important parts!!

Ladybee · 12/11/2010 20:03

ooh yes tunnocks feeling AF is coming a week early is my no.1 sign. Assuming of course that AF doesn't actually turn up Grin

Now I know why we don't have pets.
Although I would quite like a cat. If only to persuade the mice to go elsewhere. Blush

We're moving DS into his big-boy room (i.e. out of the box room nursery and into the study spare bedroom) tomorrow. Then he'll have the choice of sleeping in his cot or moving to a bed. Is it very wrong of me to hope he sticks with the cot a while longer?

Pizza for tea - hoorah hooray. I can't get much more bloated so who cares about the wheat & cheese, it's yummy. GrinGrin

Ladybee · 12/11/2010 20:09

oh, this by the by, but I read an explanation for why sometimes there can be increased fertility after procedures / miscarriage. Apparently, minor irration of the endometrium (i.e. wombular lining Smile), can cause some kind of response that makes it easier for embryos to implant.
They're studying it at the moment to see whether the effect could be copied in any safe way other than physically irritation.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

Should go an continue with knitting. Am doing a blanket. I was slightly over-ambitious and it's quite large. At this rate it's going to be Christmas next year before it's finished.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 12/11/2010 20:14

ladybee I get where you are coming from, think it's quite normal! I was very Sad when we packed away the cot for tHe last time. DD insisted on having a big girls' bed when she turned two (and was starting to climb out anyway at that point!). I was stood there trying not to cry, she was waving and saying quite cheerfully "bye bye tot" (couldn't say "c"s). It's lovely watching them grow but you can't help mourning slightly for the baby days that are gone...

Anyway I an sure your ds will love his new room, my ds has just been upgraded to a bigger room and is soooo pleased with it.

nicks would love to claim credit for breaking the mattress, but we bought it when we got married so in reality it's just old (11 years!). Maybe the last shagathon finished it off though...Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 12/11/2010 20:50

thanks pink. I was quite convinced myself tooSad. It's not full on yet, just some(tmi) brown stuff and a single red wipe. Am slightly peturbed now, by my mid cycle bleed too..

ladybee am liking your crafty ways! I am making a quilt! Is much fun, but will also take a few years weeks to complete.

gonna watch a film now, will update you all tomorrow if it's any good!

AandRMum · 12/11/2010 21:33

Ladybee if he chooses the bed I would highly recommend purchasing a rabbit clock, which tells them when they are allowed to leave their room. Absolutely brilliant!

Oh we are a crafty lot - I would love to make a quilt or a blanket - I only tackle small things at the mo, gloves and dresses for the DDs.

Interesting stuff re irritation LadyB I think I would be a bit worried about letting anyone irritate my lining - it be scary if it went wrong.

Izz broken bed ... rather impressive.

Velvetcu · 12/11/2010 21:56

Congrats Dachs on the 9 eggs :)

Sorry if she is on her way YRMOTB

Good luck to all SWIers and POASers!

I am sooooo tired I can't believe it! I went to bed at 8pm last night and I need to go to bed now but am loathed to waste a Friday night by going to bed early.

Hope you are all enjoying your evening

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 12/11/2010 22:02

Hmmm. YRMOTB I'm still not convinced she's with you, will wait and see what tomorrow brings...

getawiggleon · 12/11/2010 22:10

Evening chatterboxes! So much to catch up with tonight!
:) at pretty and izzy's mattress shenanigans!
inbetweener it took me over a week to get a docs appt last time and then there was the time it took for them to refer me to hospital for scan/ booking in appt etc.

Dachs 9 eggs!! Well done, fab news. let's hope there's plenty of lovely ones ready to hatch. I have five friends I met through nct group with dd who had ivf - 4 of them have twins!!

PFF Sorry about bfn and bad morning, hope your day got better. I think it was Just To Early. Maybe test next week with me and tunnocks??

getawiggleon · 12/11/2010 22:15

Forgot to say hello to velvet and aandr

MummyAbroad · 12/11/2010 22:56

thanks getawiggle its more like a day and night flight! Its a 16 hour trip, but we set off on saturday morning and arrive on sunday morningConfused I have stickers, snacks, DVD player (Iphone havent really made it over to the third world Blush) and lots of jumpers.

DS is off to grannies for the evening to say goodbye and DH is taking me out for a nice meal SmileSad I'm missing him already ! and feeling guilty that DS wont be going to his mates birthday party tomorrow as planned. but hey ho needs must.

Sorry for not doing personals, just got time to say a quick welcome to HKLady. Sorry for your loss, hope you get the support you need on here. These girls have all been marvelous to me. xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 12/11/2010 23:13

wiggle signs are looking good, fx for you!

mummya best of luck for a safe journey, lovely, I'm sure ds will be fine. I know you'll miss DH Sad but just think for a few weeks of disruption it'll all be worth it in the long run x

AandRMum · 12/11/2010 23:14

If you need a good laugh and to waste an hour or two ... check out the POMBEAR thread ... it is in the classics area. Laughed so much it feels like I have had a workout!!!

8dpo and feeling strangely symptomless - booo.

MummyA I have done the flight to Oz and US numerous times with DDs - the long flights are somehow easier than short as you are more prepared. The seat buckle alone kept them amused for a good couple of hours and wiping other passengers shoes took up a fair proportion of DD2s time ... she had spilt her drink on the poor sod's shoes sitting next to us so I used a wipe to clean it up - next thing I knew she was working her way down the aisle giving a personal cleaning service to anyone fortunate enough to be aisle side Blush

Ladybee · 12/11/2010 23:16

Good luck for the flight MA, I took DS to nz on my own but he was only 7 months, I think that was easier, even though on my own and 28hrs as not so much entertainment needed. But it was also fine when he was 1.5 - just remember, you'll never see any of the passengers again. Ever. It'll go quicker than you think.

OrangeToeNails · 13/11/2010 07:11

wow I missed so much!

pink sorry about your BFN fx it was just too early and AF stays away to give you BFN later

big welcome to HKlady I am newbie too but everyone is lovely and made me feel welcome :)

dachs 9 eggs is great news! do you have to wait long for the transfer? sorry I don't know the process

ladybee interesting theory on irritation how long does it last? I'm slowly knitting a scarf

DH suggested we wait a month to start trying so we can go snowboarding, and to give me more chance to recover, but i suspect mainly about the snowboarding. Part of me thinks maybe first month i don't do all the OPK and temps and just 'have a go' then it might take the pressure off. I know he means well, but he thinks that because I got pg 1st time last time I will again - so no pressure then :( sorry to sound insensitive just feeling sorry for myself this morning

nickstermum · 13/11/2010 07:29

Morning, early one for me after DS woke at 5am Confused

bee interesting theory about the irritation, we live in hope huh? Where did you find that? Get DS in a bed!! Mine slept so much better as soon as he went into a big boys bed, well. not immediately. had a few nights of him running up and down the landing at bedtime...great he could escape!! You can get in with them at bedtime for story etc and in the night if they wake! Much better Grin

mummy you prob wont see this now, but all the best for your journey, thinkinbg of you on a flight for 16 hours.... hope DS is a good boy :)

AR i too confused the suzzies, thank god didnt need them last night... or the sparkly ones Grin

babes anything more this morning?

CD19 Ewcm another pos opk temp still down! More action later methinks Grin

orange where are you going? Were hoping to get to stowe in Feb ish pennies providing, although i am hoping i wont get to go as will be upduffed!

Have a good day everyon xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 13/11/2010 08:34

Morning all, hope you're having a good Saturday.

You'll be pleased to hear that after much wrestling last night the new mattress is fully in situ and is really, really comfy! Old mattress is going to the tip later but for the minute is on the living room floor where tge DCs are having far too much fun using it as a trampoline Grin

mummya thinking of you and hoping the flight goes well x

nicks are you like me and keep planning things for next year but thinking to yourself secretly that you hopefully probably won't be able to do them because of updiffage (please, please!)?

mamap are you back yet? Any news?

Any POAS-ing from pink or jam or ladybee ?

nicks probably wherever is the cheap deal, not as far or good as Stowe. I just dont want to stop trying as it could take months. Sounds like your day's all sorted! You might not be going anywhere in Feb :)

DachshundsRule · 13/11/2010 08:59

thanks for all the good wishes and positive vibes everyone

I hope the eggs have been dividing nicely overnight

orangetn if they divide really badly they'll go back in today, if they form nice little embryos but not the very best quality they'll go back in on monday, if they are really good they leave them for an extra couple of days and put them in as 'blastocysts' rather than 8 cell embryos and that would be wednesday.

nicks you can only have a max of 2 put back unless you're much older than i currently am and I'm intending to have the two. Even if they are really good quality and get put back as day 5 blastocysts rather than day 3 embryos (80% chance of pg if they get that far in my age bracket) when they encourage you to put back 1 rather than 2 I want two.

I would actually like twins

Am currently trying to stay calm and wait for the call about whether any of them are actually developing, which will be 'some time this morning', but in reality i am sitting here almost gnawing my hand off with anxiety.

Now, back to you lot. POAS someone! We need a BFP in here. I am going to grant an amnesty from fish slapping to anyone who POAS ridiculously early for the next 3 weeks. :) Good luck all!

nickstermum · 13/11/2010 09:08

Can I claim the prize for poas action? Whole pack of 30 on the last ten days..... Opk's that is!! Tell u what, doing that I noticed the line get progressively darker!! Cheapies so that's ok :)

Only cos I was getting sporadic egg White Grin

Any news from Fondant?
