A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

Have fun in Kent mummyinE

Poor mamap Sad Rant away, that is what we are here for. I am also hoping for my first, I only want one! Is that so much to ask.

kat2504 · 24/11/2010 21:05

Have any of you good ladies ever been to your local miscarriage support group? Have decided to take the first step by phoning the number and asking them to send details. Would be interested to know if anyone has ever found such services useful?

AandRMum · 24/11/2010 21:07

Nix very jealous of snow but not hours on the road. Hope you were singing along to the radio at the top of your lungs - my favourite stuck in traffic hobby. >

MamaPower · 24/11/2010 21:16

Thank you all for being AMAZING. YRMOTB think you are right about the hormones! Grrr!

Nix now watching The Apprentice...feels like I'm watching a bunch of teenagers though!!! I have just had a lovely Chanel No 5 oil bath, shaved, waxed, plucked, luxuriated, exfoliated, moisturised and generally spoilt myself and feeling much better Smile.

Mummy enjoy your visit to Kent...I was born there and am moving back early next year...such a beautiful spot. Sounds like you may need an extra case Grin oh and that reminds me...

HidingInTheBackRow · 24/11/2010 21:22

Just checked the met office website and no snow here either Sad. In fact the weather looks like it is going to be strangely nice and sunny. I was promised blizzards by the man on the radio!

MamaPower · 24/11/2010 21:26

Horrible met office for spoiling all your expectant snow fun!! And stupid man on the radio for just making it up!!

PinkFondantFancy · 24/11/2010 21:28

(((dachs))) I've still got everything crossed for you honey, yep that's everything as we're abstaining to fix DH's bits before the fertile zone this time!!! Grrr at your SIL-I try to keep in mind that this whole thing is random but it's hard when stuff like that happens :(

emoo I'm probably not a great example as I bled on and off for five weeks before getting bfn (had natural mc rather than erpc) so fingers crossed it's quicker for you!

Grin at evryones lightweight dogs hehehe

Do you know what, I think lots of this feeling low thing is to do with hormones-I've had 2 days in a row now where I've felt positive and optimistic and could talk to people about their impending births without getting a physical pain in my stomach, and I think it's because AF has just finished....

I am quite nervous about tomorrow, I've got appt at the fertility clinic and I think I'm going to ask them to test me for everything under the sun to check for anything that might cause recurring mc. Hoping they'll find nothing but shitting myself that if you go looking, you'll find something..... Hmmm. Anyway will let you know how I get on.

kat2504 · 24/11/2010 21:31

PFF good luck with your appointment tomorrow!

AandRMum · 24/11/2010 21:32

Thanks MamaP signed up and ready to shop - frilly knickers here I come he he So easy to please

Ladybee · 24/11/2010 21:36

mmmmm hot chocolate and marshmellows mmmmm

My nose is cold. I know that this is not a symptom of anything but it being blarrdy freezing tonight, but I just thought I'd mention it.

I texted DH on the way home from work today telling him that I was officially on his list of things to 'do'. He seems to have taken it quite well.

Dachs, honey, if force of will could make this work for you it would be a guaranteed thing, we ALL want this to happen for you so much.

Nix - that much driving is my idea of hell. But as you know, I have no car radio. Sad. I put it on my birthday wish list but I have a feeling I won't be unwrapping one this year. Maybe Santa will bring me one?

Right, it's no good, I've got to go investigate the cupboards to see what we've got in the way of chocolatey beverages.

HidingInTheBackRow · 24/11/2010 21:37

Thanks mamap for your support over the crushing weather disapointment. However, I have just totally cheered up by finding out how to make this: Bear

Yay a bear!!

PinkFondantFancy · 24/11/2010 21:54

Blimey I compose one post and you've all filled up s whole page!!! nix that is a mad amount of driving, I don't know how you do it!! Do you get backache from it? Thanks for frilly Knicks, might save them for a couple of days. Not sure how I feel about this room's communal posh knickers stash tho!!! Hahahaha

Lady LMAO at the 'to do' list-think I might borrow that one!! Hope it was mission successful! :)

nickstermum · 24/11/2010 22:36

bee good luck at the ladyshagathon!

mamap goodness you will be preened and prepped.. you will resemble the "groomed tottie" on t'apprentice before long Grin i do think she will win... cameras keep zooming in on her legs and fake knockers which i find disconcerting! (liz i think her name is?) Very attractive, groomed fake too many ivoryteeth!

pink dont normally do that much driving, never do 7 hours! tbh bristol and back in a day is 5.5-6 tops so add to a 4 hour meeting, long day! Cos am based at home, and HQ is bristol i stay when i can, but atm i am spending my life there, MK and swindon shitty due to a mega new client we have signed up Grin Jan 1st go live so i will be quiet then i hope Grin Would rather drive than risk train headinarmpit scenario offputting!! Dont get backache, have a very comfy car Grin

nickstermum · 24/11/2010 22:44

fondant good stuff re clinic tomor.... chat to them about hormone balancing stuff etc too....

i am interested to know if there was a reason that GPS recommended 6 months ttc gap post MC whether its to do with hormones taking longer to settle etc....

Tonight i dont feel pg at all... Angry i actually feel AF is on its way! No idea what CD i am actually, too busy to think about it :(

Rubbish.... have so much work to finish, very likely have to work friday :( and i am getting acold to go with the AF :( intriguing though, if my AF comes earlier than 35 days, it will mean cycyles are getting better each month :)

Happy shagging to those having some action, i am going to bed [alone] goodnight x

nickstermum · 24/11/2010 22:45

oooooooooo that looks like a moody post, sooo many saddie faces... not meant Grin Grin Grinxx

Choccybick · 24/11/2010 22:54

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 11:16

a sure fire sign that i am indeed not pregnant, despite all my imaginary thoughts !

my chart today

temps dropped quite a bit, although i am not pg its a good thing as i am hoping my cycle will be a little shorter!

Amazing the difference of not stressing!!!

MamaPower · 25/11/2010 12:25

nix you are good seeing the silver lining... so let's hope that if you are def not upduffed it is a sign that your cycle is getting shorter, that would be great.

Pink hope all goes well at the Fertility apt Smile

youremindmeofthebabe · 25/11/2010 13:53

a quick good luck for PFF. On my phone, post later, if i can, got company.. Hugs to all.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/11/2010 14:20

Just a quickie to say good luck to pink - do let us know how your appointment goes!

nicks will keep my fx that's it's not imminent AF. Well done for keeping positive though - I'm working on the same basis this cycle, if AF gets me then at least I've had a better ov date this month. Look at it as another step in the right direction, towards that bfp!

mamap hope you're feeling better today x

Has anyone else's MN gone peculiar on phone access? The layout is bizarre and suddenly have this rubbish tiny little box to type in Angry

inbetweener · 25/11/2010 14:29

Hello all,
I havent been on for ages but been lurking and just trying to stay pregnant really !
However Sad Woke up this morning to spotting and cramps Sad. Took girls to school and dashed to EPU for a scan. I should be 7 weeks today according to dates but the Radiographer could only see a gestational sac on the ultrasound.......indicating its either stopped or my dates are WAY out.
I have to go back in ten days for another scan if I dont have a miscarriage in the meantime.

Am shell shocked and gutted. Bleeding seems to have stopped but am still cramping. Plus, you know when you just KNOW ?

bugger.

Emoo · 25/11/2010 14:31

Thanks all for the updates on how long it took for your BFNs. I stupidly stupidly WOAS last night, and guess what? ? still positive. I am supposed to be an intelligent woman... why oh why did I bother so soon Blush?

Hope you don?t mind ? I?ve compiled you into a list so I can think straight. Looks like anything is normal. Can?t see any relationship with either gestation or type of MC. Now I see why you call this time WTF Confused..
Nix 12w (BFN 2 weeks)
Orange 13w (BFN 10 days)
Izzy 17w ERPC (BFN 1 week)
Wombat 7w natural (BFN 8 days)
YRMOTB 15w ERPC (BFN 3 weeks)
PinkFF 8w5d natural; prolonged (BFN 5 weeks)

Wombat - thanks for the intro! Sorry to hear you have an extra thing to worry about, and glad that you are managing to stay ?upbeat?

Yum, Stilton, port, rum, chocolate and marshmallows! Thanks A&R, MummyE

PinkFF - good luck with fertility clinic. I guess that whether you want them to find anything depends on whether they can actually do anything once they?ve found it...

Ladybee - hope you had a good evening! Wink

MamaP - are you having a better day today?

Anyone know when I would be ?allowed? to get busy again with DH? MC was exactly a week ago today; I?ve stopped bleeding (for now at least). I could do with being made to feel like a woman again, rather than an abject failure of womanhood.

No snow here yet... anyone?

Emoo · 25/11/2010 14:35

Inbetweener - sorry, cross-post. I'm so sorry to hear about your scan and symptoms - fingers crossed that the dates are just wrong, but like you say, intuition is a very powerful thing, and it must be a very difficult time for you. You take care of yourself ((((((squeeeze))))))

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 14:45

Hello all. Looks like mumsnet's finally trigger that they need decent speed mobile access although I don't think I like the layout!! At clinic now, DH's gone to do his thing so his swimmers can be tested and I'm waiting :( feel like a bit of a failure for making him go through this stuff and am worried that I'm rushing into all this testing too soon but I just want to know if there's something wrong with me that will make this recur. inbetweener so so so sorry hun, I know it's completely impossible but try to stay positive-you were using sensitive preg tests so it's possible it's just that they scanned too soon. Am thinking of you lovely, really hope it's all ok.

emoo are you still bleeding? Do you feel ok? I think I'd leave it another week or until you stop bleeding then do another test. I found using the digital ones quite comforting as although they are expensive at least you can see the hormone levels falling. EPU told me to wait for one AF but I think the advice now is that you're good to go as soon as you feel ready. Only prob is that they find it hard to date but dating scan will sort that anyway.

Thanks all for the good luck messages! Will let you know how it goes.

nix hope af isn't on her way but a shorter cycle will defo be a good thing!! Xx
