A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

((((hugs)))) inbetweener - My heart goes out to you. Really REALLY hope dates are wrong. Sad I hope you have lots of love and support over the next 10 days. Will be thinking of you.

AandRMum · 25/11/2010 16:03

inbetweener bugger bugger. Fx There is an extremely good chance your dates are out given you don't have a last period to go off.

emoo adding to your list. I had a mmc at 12 weeks - baby 9w + 4. I had my bfn at 2 weeks post

MamaPower · 25/11/2010 16:33

inbetweener I can't imagine what the thought of waiting 10 days is doing to you, hope you have lots of family to help you through this time and on this occasion I hope your women's intuition is def off par!! Be thinking of you and keeping fx it's a false alarm x

MamaPower · 25/11/2010 16:40

Izzy/emoo, yes, much better today thanks, I think sometimes you just got to have a good ole cry every now and then to get it out of your system, I don't melt down very often and I think Pink was right about hormones playing a big part!! I am planning to give it a mahoosive shot this month so going back to the thread of tips...starting with grapefruit juice this side of OV and pineapple after and plenty of nuts...

Wombat33 · 25/11/2010 17:13

Inbetweener I'm so hoping everything is okay for you. I read that lots of women get a bit of bleeding about when their period would have been due if they weren't pg. Could it be that your dates are just a bit out and you're getting bit of breakthough bleeding? I'm really hoping so. Big hugs xxx

Pink hope everything went well at the clinic.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/11/2010 17:14

inbetweener (((((((huge huge hugs)))))) Sad. I know there's nothing I can say that will make you stop worrying, but the dates could be wrong (our local private hospital wouldn't scan before 7.5 weeks anyway due to often not seeing anything - I know NHS equipment is usually better but it's still early days). Also spotting or early bleeding in pg is very common and doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong.

You must be going crazy not knowing and fearing the worst. I will keep absolutely everything crossed that it's just too early and that everything works out for you. In the meantime please know we're all here for you xx

kat2504 · 25/11/2010 18:38

inbetweener that is terrible :( am really sorry to hear about your scan. I know that the waiting period between the scans is really unbearably awful, you must be beside yourself with worry and I hope you have lots of support.

emoo my array of leaflets said two weeks post erpc before getting busy as cervix possibly still open, risk of infection etc. However, I felt much the same as you and got busy six days later as soon as the bleeding went back down to spotting. After the crappiest two weeks of my life I was in need of some loving comforts. If you aren't bleeding there's probably no harm.

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 18:40

Bloody mumsnet doesn't let me post anything tonight!!! Gaaah! Wrote a massive post before as well! Anyway in short, clinic went well, going to have blood tests after next period and DH has super swimmers (and is insufferably smug about it too...) Will try and post massive post later on if it's not still ignoring me xx

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 18:45

inbetweener i was wondering how you were lovely, so sorry to hear your worrying news :( I really hope your dates are wrong, and its too early. But i agree, you know when you know, but you could be wrong!!!

Sending you huge hugs and TLC xxxxx
Please keep us posted if you feel like it x

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 18:49

Urm

fertility friend says my shag efforts around ov time were..............POOR

Must try harder

Philosophical this month, ie feck it (not defensive or anything no no not me!!) T'was my last chance before christmas, but i am too busy this month to get pissed off....! Would have been delighted of course, but will try harder next month.

mamap hope you feel better, please also dont think i was comparing you to the lady off apprentice last night.... woke in the night in a hot sweat thinking you would be offended!! Please also dont think i dream about you, and you wake me from my sleep drenched Confused Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/11/2010 19:30

nicks - "poor"? FF can be really harsh...

But remember it only takes one time and you're good x

pink glad everything looking good so far (big pat on the back for mrpink too!). Do you feel better or more in control for having gone and started the process?

I had acupuncture today and it went well, she is really pleased with how my cycle is going and optimistic that luteal phase might be better than it has been. I'm having next week off since AF should be here (boo!) but should fit in two more sessions before Christmas. I'm not sure we've done any good this month but I am feeling quite positive about my cycle getting back to some sort of normality at least.

Got to dash - out at virgin vie party tonight - but big (((hugs))) to all x

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 19:43

IZZ poor is twice around ov! Must try harder!

Catch up properly later x

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 19:48

emoo you are not an abject failure of a woman... it was something physiological that happened, that you have had no control over whatsoever, thats what my mum said to me when i was feeling guilty at time off work!! You are a woman, (you have two boobs and a fanjo Grin) and im sure a beautiful woman at that! You arent a failure.... xx

You will get your mojo back xx

CaribouMoo · 25/11/2010 20:13

Nicks that reminds me, you asked the other day what i did different last time. You know after the 1st MC it took me 6 months to get pregnant, which sadly resulted in the 2nd MC. However, getting BFPs those two times I played a risky strategy.

I had been a slave to CBFM and FF and exerting my best efforts during 'high's. By the time we got to peaks we had no enthusiasm and had a few of the dreaded botched attempts. Wasted peaks. So both last times I got my BFPs I held off until just the last high then the second peak and day after - so not even every day, every other day instead. I worried I might miss the boat but it seemed to work better for me than the previous hammer and tongs approach!

Also the other stuff i put on the list of ridiculousness, taking Agnus Castus and extra zinc and Vit B complex. Don't you listen to FF! I also used Pre-seed on those 2 cycles, may be a coincidence but i would swear by it now.

Mummy that's brilliant news that the op was a success, I'm really pleased for you. I'm sure you'll get your period soon x

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:17

Hello ladies, I'm back from the clinic and feeling much more reassured (although slightly miffed they don't hand out babies in party bags as you leave...) :)

So here's the gossip:

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:18
  • he reckons hormones should be back to normal one cycle after mc
- need to eat healthy balanced diet with no need to cut out whole food groups e.g. sugar, and nothing wrong with a couple of glasses of wine Grin Grin
PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:18
  • i need to get swabs taken for cylimidia (sorry can't spell!!) and blood tests for hep B and C and HIV (DH needs these blood tests too)
- on CD 1 I need to have blood tests for hormone levels and they'll test for clotting stuff at the same time - on CD 12 they'll do ultrasound to have a look at lining thickness etc - after ov they do another hormone test - depending on results of all this they make a plan for next steps
PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:22

gggggahahaha it won't let me post the rest and makes me split across multiple messages - what the hell has happened to this website today?!?!?!?!

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:22
  • DH has super swimmers Grin - he is insufferably smug!!! am a bit worried it'll work against me tho cos he's been cutting down the booze and been on decaf for a few months now and while I'm trying to point out that the superswimmer result is as a result of his detox efforts he's not convinced he needs to bother now....
  • there were LOADS of couples of all ages there which while v sad, was strangely reassuring that its actually quite common

So am feeling much happier that someone medical actually cares and is going to look into it for me.

Apologies for split messages, only way that mumsnet lets me post!!

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:30

Whoop there goes the last message. Also, forgot to mention the most important bit - Dr is absolutely lovely and very kind and understanding, am v. impressed. Am feeling so much more calm about the whole thing and hopefully if there's something wrong they will find it out. Just got to work on being patient and accepting of the fact that I'm not going to get preg straight away!!! gggaaaahhhhhh

Izz fab news on the acupuncture, fingers crossed she's got it sorted for you.

nix hope you're having a chilled out evening and not stressing!!!

betweener hope you're doing ok honey xx

I've brought along a bottle of nicely chilled white if anyone fancies a glass??! :-D Waves to all, hope you're all feeling zenful xxxx

PinkFondantFancy · 25/11/2010 20:33

mamap brazil nuts post ov (I'm opting for chocolate coated, hopefully they still work that way........), almonds all the way through I think as they've got lots of something good in them. Also heard walnuts are good but I have no clue what for..... :-) Acupuncturist says I need to make my own chicken soup by boiling up organic chicken carcasses as it's very good for something or other. I've been doing it once a week for a few weeks now, it's very good for making you feel like a complete domestic goddess even if it doesn't do anything else for you!!!

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 21:39

pink all those hormones tests etc,... but the important bit is HOW MUCH DOES IT COST PRIVATE?!?!?!?!

dying to know :)

Not torturing self, shattered so so tired from work and i dont get my friday with DS tomorrow cos i have to work more... :(

moo thanks for the tips. We dont shag like rabbits never have really! Too lazy, too busy, so i like to pinpoint it then go for it. (one shotters have worked twice) which is why i thought it would happen easily this time. FF is mean isnt she? POOR? I thought that was quite good Grin I have shown DH though and his ego didnt like it so he "must try harder" so not a bad thing. Also he has not been taking his supplements either so the conversation went something like this....

ME "sperm didnt meet egg, take your pills"

DH "ok, get me a beer"

ME "Yes Dear" (usually would be "fuck off you lazy twat but not when sperm is being discussed with the sperm snatcher Grin

nickstermum · 25/11/2010 21:40

Impressed with your pro-activeness Pink Grin x

loola2shu · 25/11/2010 21:46

Hahahahaahahaha!!!!!!!!

Nix

I was lurking as I'm off to bed and no time for a monster catchy uppy post but couldn't resist posting!

Wish MN had 'Like' FB styley!

"ME "Yes Dear" (usually would be "fuck off you lazy twat but not when sperm is being discussed with the sperm snatcher "

Quote of the thread my lovely xxx

loola2shu · 25/11/2010 21:50

Oh and 1 more thing before I disappear...

Inbetweeneer You are bound to have the intuition feeling as its a 'protect me' mechanism, I bet it means nothing and everything is fine! You're probs just off with your dates, which is totally possible due to you getting your BFP so soon after MC.

Chin up chick x
