A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

Hello! Well I don't think we have succeeded this month! It's a bug for def! I have no other symptoms so I shall finish wondering now!

Whoop mama, you snared dh in your gym skirt playing netball huh?! Ten out of ten for persistence mr mama!!

Fondant, get thee t'docs!

Wonbo gosh you really are dedicated, running upstairs is my exercise, hence I am plump and you are probably slim and toned :)
< swigs pj just in case>

sunchild77 · 22/11/2010 21:57

Aww you girls always make me laugh :)

PFF thank you honey for the shout out! I am here, just canny keep up with yous all!! So ita lovely to be asked how I am and to be able to reply soon!! I hope you understand what I meant! LOL Im fine, trying very hard to be chilled out this cycle...mmmm will see what happens in the 2ww.

Well aandrs birthday party posts made me want to tell yous about DD's birthday party on saturday past... She was 5. Had never done a proper party before, so thought I should do at least one!! Had approx 35 children, did a full on kids party was no easy task I tell ya! we did trad party games, and was madness. Was exhusted sat night, couple glasses of wine and I was cabbaged. but she loved every minute of it, so it was worth it.

All I want for Christmas is BFP! keeping everything crossed that you guys can join me in a celebration. Guess we will have to wait and see...

nickstermum · 22/11/2010 22:41

blimmin heck!

Should think you needed a bottle after huh?

Ladybee · 22/11/2010 23:06

that's dead impressive sunchild - I aspire to being that sort of mummy but I think poor old DS is destined to have small parties for the rest of his childhood.

Sorry I feel like I'm dashing in and out of the room, waving to people across the room, gulping a slug of wine and then dashing out again. We spent most of the weekend trying to sort out and re-organise our house. Worked very nice but am exhausted now - especially after a trip to IKEA yesterday.
Ladies, let me tell you - IKEA on a Sunday with a newly potty-trained toddler = stressful. Ikea on a Sunday with a newly potty-trained toddler who projectile vomits all over himself after waiting half an hour for his v late lunch = hell on earth.

Fortunately, I think it wasn't a bug, just a too tired/over excited/drank too much liquid before eating too fast type of thing as he seems fine now. Although I did feel v queasy myself yesterday - put it down to nerves pre-IKEA drive, but maybe it was something else.

Anyway...still have an enormous bag of clothes to find a home for and Too Many Books. What I really need is for a charity to come and take away the things we have no room for. Do they do that sort of thing?

Dachs can you not just test a bit early? We won't tell, promise. Smile I have everything crossed that this works. Will you get another round if it doesn't?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/11/2010 23:23

your DD's party sounds fab, much mummy kudos to you for managing it Smile

Well FF has just drawn cross-hairs on my graph agreeing that I did ov on cd15 so I am properly officially 2ww-ing now! I am not holding out much hope seeing as DH had a big bid to do for work last week so despite my acu pinpointing best days, we didn't actually manage to hit that many prime-time days as he was working till 1am every night Sad. BUT to ov on cd15 is huge progress for me, so I'm concentrating on that and hoping my cycle's starting to fall into place at last Smile

nicks don't lose heart, chica, perhaps the bug is another pg symptom?

ladybee your trip to Ikea sounds hideous! If you find that charity let ne know, I've just started to clear out our over-filled playroom of all the toys, jigsaws etc the DCs have outgrown and now have boxes of stuff piled up in the spare bedroom. Which wasn't exactly the idea!

DachshundsRule · 23/11/2010 07:49

lady the thing with testing early is that if it's negative (which I expect it to be) then I'll still feel like there's still a teeny tiny chance that if I wait the bfn will become a bfp. We will have another go if it doesn't work but I'm not sure how many times I can go through the ivf emotional rollercoaster. We said we'd re-evaluate after 3 goes

HidingInTheBackRow · 23/11/2010 09:11

Morning all.

Arrggh ladybee, Ikea is always best avoided in my book. I swear more marriages have been destroyed in that shop then anywhere else in the last 10 years. It is always full of couples having screaming rows over obscurely named shelving units. Plus the few times I have been I always fail to pick up a vital part of the piece of furniture.

Just out of interest. i have been doing my temps and noticed that they are slightly higher then they were before my mc. Before mc my cover line was always 36.20 but for the past few days since starting AF they have been around the 36.35 mark. I know its not much differance and probably just part of the wtf cycle of mc but my temps were always the same every month before.

MummyinEngland · 23/11/2010 10:45

Pink I was a bin bag witch once too!Grin

OrangeToeNails · 23/11/2010 12:05

Afternoon everyone, wow I missed so much in a day!

Yesterday was a real downer, seems like it's catching. I slept from 8-6.30 so may have been tiredness

According to FF I will OV when dh away, but still gives me a window of opportunity. Am considering the scattergun approach this month in light of limited SWI time

dachs selfishly I want you to test early to hear some good news, but I can see how an early BFN is no help either

Choccybick · 23/11/2010 12:07

Pink Mummy Bin-Bag Witches unite!!!
I distinctly also remember having a turnip and not a pumpkin.

Having today off work too. Was feeling sick last night too. Crikes I slept all morning - sleep is always the best medicine for me.
I'm trying not to symptom spot this month. There's a zillionth chance because we only did it once in the right time because I was away with work. Mission impossible if you ask me. Unless mr choccybicks spermies are olympic swimmers and survive days and days and more days.

I must remember to go and get a thermometer before AF to do my temps. I've always forgotten the past couple of months.

Xx

PinkFondantFancy · 23/11/2010 12:58

hiding that sounds like where my levels are Pre ov. Where do yours go post ov? I am worried I get very little difference and am worried this signifies something sinister.....

HidingInTheBackRow · 23/11/2010 13:10

before mc they were usually around 36.70 post-ov. Though this is my first post-mc cycle so not sure what they will be now.

To be honest I have no idea if this is a normal size raise in temp, it's enough to be clear on a graph as they are pretty steady on the whole and don't move around that much on a day by day basis (if that makes sense). What are yours like?

AandRMum · 23/11/2010 13:34

Hi All I am nursing one hell of a hangover - never again! Had the most wonderful night with my favourite people ... almost don't mind being a year older.

Nix I have decided symptoms are so last cycle and have sworn to myself that I won't spend the entire 2ww looking for or avoiding acknowledging symptoms - so easy to say this side of ov.

Thanks for all the support re homemade outfit (I was a ghostbuster in a white binbag with a vacuum hose!). I love the sound of your parties babe and sunchild although 35 children sounds exhausting. Everything seems to be outsourced around here. We are having ours on our site (nothing else happening there! Sad ) We are putting down straw and hanging lanterns and toasting marshmallows and damper on a brazier.

Chocky sorry you have been feeling a bit rubbish.

Dachs I wish there was a crystal ball that could tell us what is happening in there ... everything crossed for you.

izzy glad your cycle is starting to behave. Here's hoping for a lovely 14day lp.

kat2504 · 23/11/2010 13:41

Gaaaa having a nightmare day. Need chocolates.
Was sick and tired anyway but went back to work.
Had to leave after hearing conversations around me including baby scan heartbeats. Burst into tears as it took me back to that horrible day in the hospital.
Now feel guilty, am of course very happy for diffed with twins colleague but just hearing about scans and heartbeats is still too much :-(
oh well, one day at a time eh? Now have some chill time this afternoon at least

I've moved that JamFace into MIA, because she never came back after running away to Italy. I do hope she didn't get lost there. If she finds her way back we can put her back again.

Tunnocks with all the spotting etc, is this cycle 1 or WTF? Hope it settles down soon.

PrettyQuichey I'm sure that new job is exciting and all that but (ahem) - aren't you forgetting something? What gives lady? Any pee-stick action to report?

Getawiggleon you too! where are you and how many sticks have you peed on since the 6dpo one Grin? Any of them said nice things? any whispers or hints? Those symptoms were sound positive

Dachs, yes, that's always the problem with testing early. So how do they calculate dpo for you, or is it days past implantation?

Hiding my temps during AF are always a little higher than post-AF, they start out at around 36.3, then move down to about 36.2 before gradually creeping up again and then the shift. My highs don't seem very high at the moment, 36.5-36.6 typically. But when I run the chart overlay on FertilityFriend, it does seem like some cycles are higher than others. They run sort of parallel to each other but just a bit out IYSWIM.
We normally have IKEA 'rules' to save arguments. And tend to only go 1 x a year. Actually, the most vicious argument I ever saw between a couple was at a John Lewis sale over towels. I distinctly remember the woman hissing furiously at her husband/fiance "don't just stand there looking like stunned guppy". Which was funny, because that's exactly what he did look like. Grin

DachshundsRule · 23/11/2010 14:00

lady you test 14 days after they put it back in as it doesn't matter what stage it has reached theoretically - it will take the same amount of time to implant and produce enough hormone to show up on an HPT. They date your pregnancy from 14 days before the embryo transfer date rather than the first day of your AF. So technically I'm 22 days pregnant at the moment until proven otherwise. Which it will be on Monday :(

nickstermum · 23/11/2010 14:42

Waves to everyone else... i think i am now about 8 dpo according to FF but 10 dpo if i use 19th as OV date which i think it is Confused totally symptom free this month so not really hopeful. Chart here.

my chart today

AR agree, symptom spotting is so last cycle!!!!! except whitish ewcm
stuff indigestion enflamed gut, cramps & nausea (associated with tummybug ) general feeling of fatness but no i wont symptom spot at all this month Grin

chockychockster only takes once beautiful Grin my DS is proof of that... swimmers can last 1 week you know....

AandRMum and Velvet Happy Belated Birthday for yesterday sweeties. Hope you both had a lovely day.
Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Nickster - yeah here´s hoping. Its your fault now if I start to frantically symptom spot.
You´re approaching POAS day now.... fingers x.

Am feeling much better this afternoon. I actually forgot how dreadful daytime tv is and have resorted to surfing all kinds of webpages looking for Xmas pressie inspiration.

MummyinEngland . how you doing dear? I skimmed over the last week and read that they got rid of everything so fingers x for you that everything will be hunkydory now. aren´t you missing your man?
Yep snow is approaching. Here too.....and Im fretting because I still didnt go and get my new winter tyres put on my car. I was avoiding parting from the 800 euros. bloody expensive shoes!!

off to make a hot drink..... catch you later

CaribouMoo · 23/11/2010 15:26

Hi everyone, I've been totally AWOL for weeks now from MN so just checking in to see how you're all doing. I haven't scrolled back so hope I haven't missed major news. Will try harder to lurk from now on!

MummyA i hope the op was a success and that you'll have your RTD soon?? How was your break MamaP? Are you well rested, any chance of a holiday baby? Dasch will keep my fingers crossed for a good result for you! Apples hope things are going well for you, that Nickster is still grinding away (things in DH's food of course!), that all the old gang of Pretty,YRMOTB, Izzy, Velvet, Freezing, PFF, Owl, Wombat, Tigger, KAT, AandR, Sunchild and Choccy are hanging on in there and that the newbies are good and enjoying the company. A special shout to my pal LadyBee* x

Just scanning the list, I'm really sad to see Hairy back on the WTTC list. I didn't realise pal and don't know what's happened, I'm so sorry. I was rooting for you when you got your BFP after everything you went through with your MC. I hope you are coping all right x x

Also, I seem to missed a BFP- congrats Urban!! Speaking of which, I predict we are due a glut of BFPs, seem to be overdue a few!!

Things still going well here, although not sure I've relaxed quite yet. Had my NHS 12 week scan today (at almost 15 weeks) and saw a lovely healthy baby with all his/ her bits and bobs in the right place. Just wanted to say hello to you all, will try and keep tracks on your news x x

AandRMum · 23/11/2010 15:27

yeah i'm not on the bottom of the list - very selfish of me but i was feeling like the class dunce instead of sexy tigress prepping for some mad passionate strictly cum come baby dance ... once i get over this hangover.

PinkFondantFancy · 23/11/2010 15:30

hiding that sounds v similar to me, I'm about 36.3 Pre and 36.6ish post, although to be fair I've got very little data to go on as I only started having any kind of vaguely reliable experimental technique from middle of last month. Realised what I thought was my temp rise last month was moving to having 3 mins with mouth closed before doing temp (sleep with mouth open so reading was basically whatever temp bedroom was!!!)- doh!!

aandr glad you had a fab birthday! Toasted marshmallows on brazier sounds amazing!!

chocs I know i shouldn't laugh but you having a turnip instead of a pumpkin made me laugh out loud :) I wasn't helped by the fact that I initially read it as a parsnip and so had this image of a forlorn little girl in a bin bag with a random root vegetable Grin so turnip seemed quite logical in comparison!! Sorry you're feeling pants. I've brought everyone a box of Krispy Kremes to go with the roses cos I've just rediscovered how completely amazing they are, although sadly it's doing naff all for my detox which frankly takes way too much willpower!!!

((((kat)))) sorry about your rubbish day, I've had a few of them too over the last few months. I think it's hard not to get unanswerable questions running round your head at times like that, like why are you going through what you are and she gets the happy ending? Not sure how to phrase this without it sounding weird but in a way I find it reassuring that you ladies get upset about that stuff too as I was worried I shouldn't be feeling that way. It's especially hard not to feel emotional when you're knakered-I always find it's easier to keep my emotions more balanced if I'm not tired.

lady thanks for doing list, any gossip from the bee household? Grin at John Lewis argument. I wonder, if on a first date you could see into the future and see these kinds of moments, whether you'd call it a day at the first date??

dachs I still have everything crossed for you!

I'm on my way home at the moment-had to arrange to work from home this avo as my central heating had packed up!! Fab timing just before the snow :S really hope engineer can fix it. Am going to be out most of thurs avo too due to clinic appt about seeing whether worth getting tests done.

Choccybick · 23/11/2010 15:33

Shoves a huge plate of double coated choccy bics in Kat´s direction. Sorry to hear that you had a moment at work- yes i think thats the hardest bit, never being prepared and knowing that these comments will irritate us and bring us to tears. dont your colleages know about your situation? (ok...best not tell them but I gather they dont know otherwise they wouldnt be so "in your face" with the comments)

x

Hidinginthebackrow - dont think we met here before. I see youve moved up the list - a positive sign after a hard journey. Welcome up to the top of the list with us maniac symptom spotters TTC peeps

Choccybick · 23/11/2010 15:38

LOL LOL LOL PINK Im glad I made you laugh with my pumpkin parsnip swedey turnip tale. Imagine cutting out a face in a parsnip?? ROFL....Grin Grin

good luck with your heating
