A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

We all do. I'm advocating a MN 'Just MC' trip. Somewhere nice and hot and sunny. Any takers? Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 19/11/2010 20:39

(((hugs))) to pink and nix sorry you're having rubbish days Sad

AandRMum · 19/11/2010 21:12

(((pink nix))) the whole lack of control thing just makes it all so crap and with your horrible long, confusing cycles it is no wonder you are both feeling so frustrated by the whole process. One of my best friend's grandma is something of a clairvoyant, tarot card reader, all round hippy, wonderful person ... she has promised to put good vibes out for all of us - we will get there by hook or by crook.

PinkFondantFancy · 19/11/2010 21:23

Cool let's go to costa rica! That is one huge backpack you've got there aandr!

I think a large part of the reason I'm so sad today is that I've just realised that a friendship died today too. Our lives are just too different-mine is full of pointless ttc mentalling while hers is a calendar of exciting milestones and plans to make that she's too scared to tell me about in case it upsets me. :(

AandRMum · 19/11/2010 21:31

Not died Pink just possibly parked for the moment. It's horrible when you are on a different path to a friend ... just make sure there is a fine thread kept and you will find your way back to each other when the time is right.

PinkFondantFancy · 19/11/2010 21:55

(((aandr))) thanks nice lady. I hope you're right....

MamaPower · 19/11/2010 22:13

Just recovered for watching take that on Children in Need...god they're good!!

Pink I have had the same experience... a friend who already has one and now has two in the oven and she doesn't get how lucky she is and just whinges about being sick etc etc etc...I'd give my right arm for the sick feeling right now and just before I went on hol's she whinged again and I just sent her a text saying 'better to be sick and p/g than not pg' and I think she finally felt a bit stupid for her carry on but never the less we're just not on the same page right now...perhaps one day! BTW the yoga thing made me laugh too Grin

Anyway, catch you all on Monday... it's our wedding aniv. tomorrow so lots of spoiling and QT Wink

Hugs to you all Smile and a big fat whoop for MummyE's return to us and good health Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/11/2010 07:35

pink it hasn't died, you're not in the same place at the minute and that's hard and is bound to put some distance between you, but it won't always be like that. Get some space from each other right now if you need to but keep in touch and in 1, 2, maybe 3 years time things will be different x

mamap I get where you're coming from re the pg moaning, sometimes people just don't think! Hope you enjoy your anniversary Smile

well I got a peak on the CBFM today after only 3 days of high (a record - it's usually 10+ !) and only day 16 (another record!). I actually think I may already have ov'd but will keep swi just in case. This is so much better than day 23 though - fx it translates into a longer luteal phase too!!

We're supposed to be out at a friend's 40th tonight but DS (who is never ill) is ill so we'll have to see how he goes (babysitter is MIL who won't cope with illness and if he's too poorly we wouldn't go anyway). We never go out so this would be a shame, and friend has had a rough time so would be nice to go and see her...poor DS, but why do they have to time it to coincide we tge rare occasions we actually have plans?!

nickstermum · 20/11/2010 08:06

hello ladies, AR thankyou xxx You never fail to make me laugh so thankyou for that xxxxx

I am less grumpy this morning, just a little bemused i think. I went to bed at quarter to ten last night and lay in bed and sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. Not for any specific reason whatsoever, not about the MC particularly.... just i think my hormones are totally raging, obviously still imbalanced and not right. TBH its probably done me the world of good as i havent had an outburst for a few weeks now, and although i have woken with a fuzzy head this morning, i do feel like there is clarity iyswim? According to my dates of OV i am 7dpo, but FF 5dpo.

Does anyone elses uterus seem to hurt when they get into their luteal phase? (I had this last cycle too. around 5dpo it starts cramping/aching)

Congrats lovely mamap and Mr MAmap! how many years? Well done for surviving :)
(its my tenth next year.... if he makes it that far Grin ) I figured that if we were lucky enough to conceive about now it would be due on my birthday next year (august) which would be a real plus as i MC on the weekend of my birthday this year! (although the bank balance would suffer, me & DH bdays are 3 days apart!)

izz sorry DS is sickly :( lots going round at the min!

Fondant dont despair over your friendship. Its not over babes, its on hold! I had similar when i was pg with DS, she was MC/through IVF and our friendship changed. I felt horribly guilty i was ok and although she never showed it, it was hard for her too of course. Now she has her daughter, things are so much better :) It will be for you too, it may just take for you to achieve your dream to find that balance again. If it makes you feel better, i still cant pick upthe text/phone to my friend who has my due date....! I think thats whats thrown me this wkend, there is a fancy dress bowling party planned just before Christmas Eve for a big group of us, she will be there, 7.5months pg and thats all i can think about! I still dont want to see her! Hence the other reason that i want to be pg before hers arrives!!
Your friendship will recover toots, she will understand having been through MC, but will also not want to appear to rub it in!!

On the detox izz i am not sticking to it :( cos am crap, the only thing i havent had is any chocolate...have decided to limit caffeine and choc is full of it.... might get a giant sized DM tonight thoughxx always makes me feel better :)

Hope everyone is greatx

Is anyone due for testing this next few days? Izz fab OV...cant believe the improvement in Temping for us all, so empowering and makes me feel so much more confident about having some degree of self control :) :) :) :)

mamap agree TT are just swoonsome.... really need their new album xxx

Just another quickie, just wondered if anyone else had seen hairys post on MC forum. If not, her EPRC failed, and she now has to have medical management. Doesnt sound like its plain sailing! Thought i would let everyone know, in case you didnt already xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/11/2010 08:33

Poor hairy that's really tough Sad

good to hear you're feeling a bit better nicks , sometimes you need a good cry to let it all out. I do sympathise with you over the 2ww, I've never had to suffer through that because mine's always been so short, but it's difficult. Fx you're due some good news this month and then the Xmas nights out won't seem so bad...

I'm not feeling too bad about the detox because I have made a bit of an effort...no caffeine, and cut down on dairy (currently sipping a decaff coffee made with soya milk!). Surely that balances out the wine/pizza combo from last night Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/11/2010 08:35

Btw is anyone POAS-ing today?

OrangeToeNails · 20/11/2010 08:35

morning everyone I was hijacked persuaded into going out last night, now just want a day at home but have MILs birthday weekend instead. But at least exams are done Grin

OrangeToeNails · 20/11/2010 10:00

Looks awesome I'm in Grin mas chocolate tambien

Harry Potter time

youremindmeofthebabe · 20/11/2010 10:05

Wow, that looks amazing mummye How are you feeling? do you have any pain, or is it all ok?

That's awful for hairy Poor lady. it just adds more bloody trauma to a horrid situation.

All well here, just pottering about, at work at the min. Doing checks for ds later today, as we suspect that he's colourblindConfused. It would explain a few things though. Bless him.

nix glad a good cry helped to clear your head somewhat. I tend to find that the release of emotion helps me, I always feel cleansed the next day. Was it you asking re cramping? I got it last month, quite a lot. It was peculiar, normally I don't really.

God, am on day 8 already. Luckily the bleeding stopped by day 7 this month. woopHmm

I'm impressed re your detox effort izzy. That's really well done. I drank the vast majority of a bottle of wine last night, and then slept like shit. I really am getting old. My mother has done that for years, struggled to sleep after 1 glass of wine...
They always get ill when you're due tio go somewhere don't they? Poor ds, hope he feels better soon.

Re the exercise, I don't think that continuing to exercise at your normal rate is too bad. There's mixed reports re running, but low and mid impact sports seem fine. I am a runner too though. Have been piklates-ing spinning and body pumping, less of the running recently.

Waves to all.

MummyinEngland · 20/11/2010 10:54

Hi YRMOTbabe,

Yeah I am feeling OK thanks for asking. I was bleeding but its dropped off to spotting now which apparently means nothing, some women bleed some dont after surgery and a study has been done proving it has no affect on outcome. If truth be told I am starting to worry again though - I keep telling myself that it is all over and I am fine but its just become second nature to worry so I am! My biggest fear is getting an infection from surgery which could damage my fallopian tubes (you have to sign a waiver to accept that this is a risk) I keep trying to force the idea out of my head but it keeps popping back in! Every little twinge has me in a panic Confused I'm not sure if I should be forcing myself to calm down and ignore it or if I should trust the paranoia as without it I would never have got this far!! Maybe I will feel better after I have had a normal period, I am day 14, no sign of ov yet.

Hairy if you are reading this, I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time. I know what its like to get bad news piled on top of more bad newsSad keep your spirits up, it is possible to get to the light at the end of the tunnel if you keep at it. xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/11/2010 13:54

YRMOTB hope your DS gets on ok with the tests. My FIL is colour blind and I have to say it doesn't really seem to cause any problems - I didn't even realise until he said.

mummye try not to worry too much (but at the same time stay vigilant for any complications - it's a fine line to tread isn't it?). Did the consultant give you any idea when you should expect AF?

orange are you seeing HP today? If so am v v jealous, I was supposed to be going with friend yesterday (neither of us work Fridays) until DCs' school scheduled a random inset day Angry Envy Envy

AandRMum · 20/11/2010 14:25

Harry Potter - can't wait. A friend and I have been to see every one of them together and she is taking me for my birthday (it is one of our friendship threads - her DH and I didn't exactly hit it off when we first met and it stretched our friendship to the absolute limit. Some 5 years down the road and our paths are coming back together again and I am so glad we hung on through it)

MummyE I can't believe how excited I am over our virtual holiday. What a pick! If you don't meditate - now would be a good time to start! It is so hard not to feel every twinge and magnify it but I have a feeling your luck has taken a turn for the better and it will all be just fine. The thing I like best about meditation (done as part of yoga class) is that they don't say anything about blocking thoughts (impossible) but rather to let them come and then just drift through you whilst you focus on your breathing ie stay in the moment. It is incredibly difficult but ultimately very relaxing and gives you a break for a while from all those stupid cyclical thoughts!

Nix I had cramps at 5dpo. I was also extremely tired and extremely emotional. I am not sure if I am making up more aware of symptoms now or whether things are actually different. Glad you had a good cry - it is definitely needed every now and then. August is an expensive month for us as well as DD2 and DH are one day apart and if I get a bfp this time it will be pretty much due the same time!

Orange hope your head doesn't feel too bad. Sad how the recovery time is so rubbish nowadays!!

Waves to all and special huge big hugs to Hairy if you are there.

MummyinEngland · 20/11/2010 14:27

Thanks Izz, yes I am expecting period in two weeks. The HRT is designed to fit around my natural cycle, and that is when its due. However I just realised that taking estrogen might suppress ovulation though (?) so dont really know why I am temping in that case...

I also remembered that the twinges are likely to be caused by the coil in there, so for now I am trying to suppress the panic and go with positive thinking.

inset day sounds like a bummer. Sad

OrangeToeNails · 20/11/2010 14:50

Izzy HP was really good, and more true to the book than the last one. Pesky inset days, when do you think you'll go?

mummye I hope everything's ok, I didn't get OPK+ until CD22 last month but then my UCL is 35. Those pre-surgery forms are scary because they have to mention no matter how unlikely, but then plant the seeds of worry

YRMOTB I'm going down the pilates and zumba route. It helps that my PT is currently AWOL Confused A nice afternoon nap later might help? That's my weekend luxury :)

nickstermum · 20/11/2010 15:06

babes DH is colourblind...confuses greens and browns, and reds i think! It doesnt cause him any hardship, other than restricts job opportunities ie couldnt be an eletrician or anything!! It also means he thinks all the wallpaper etc is a different colour so i get to choose!!! DS was born with blocked tear ducts and had to have an op at age 1, so he was tested for everything then, thankfully his eyes are totally fine :)
Hope DS is good xx

I wonder why you get cramps at 5/6 dpo? its not like it contributes to the mentalling or anything is it Confused

You are all right ladees. a good cry helps wonderfully! Positive today, till i saw a friend who hadnt seen me since i was 12 wks pg, she looked very awkward...god i hate that!!!

nickstermum · 20/11/2010 15:10

mummy try not to imagine all sorts, although i bet its hard. You are bound to get twinges, you have had a 9 month trauma, its been interfered with and now has something inside it that shouldnt really be there :( its rubbish that you have to, but i am sure it will be healed and everytghing back to normal again xxxxxx

and in about 3 weeks you will be enjoying nookie again in the know that you have done exactly the right thing and its all in good working order :)
