Hi weimy Sorry AF got you, she has just gotten me to Sad

Still, at least periods have returned after coming off the pill, so I kind of feel like I am 'working' Smile

Summerbird73 · 27/02/2011 20:54

yay oceynorm that is fantastic, in that case go for it big stylee Grin if you leave your studies at circa 34 weeks pg then you will go back when babba is circa 9/10mo. IME with DS that was a perfect age to go into nursery/childcare, he loved it and still does now.

Iwish you are gonna hate me but that nausea was short lived, i am 8 weeks tomorrow so it might kick in properly this week. i do feel for you, i felt like that the last time, it was frustrating not actually being able to be sick. it wont last long tho i promise Smile

fraggle thanks for the wishes, DS is much better now, he is back on his food and being enthusiastic about EVERYTHING which means he is back to normal (honestly he grabbed a photo negative today and ran around the house screeching at it!).

waves to maybe weimy dannid and goingmad and everyone else i have missed. hope you all had a good weekend Smile

Summerbird73 · 27/02/2011 20:57

wow crossed posts with weimy and maybe

weimy i have to say that 'fanjo' is my favourite MN word, i have to stop myself using the word in RL (not that i talk about my fanjo much when out and about but YSWIM)

sorry about AF Angry but get your charts out and get shagging! Grin

maybe yay for your 'workable doings' Grin Grin

Oceynorm · 27/02/2011 21:36

maybebabyR · 28/02/2011 15:06

Haha, thanks summer, got to be a silver lining to every cloud right?!

Glad DS is feeling his usual self Smile

maybebabyR · 01/03/2011 09:11

Morning Everyone

How are we all? I was just wondering whether anyone here has ever had a 2 day period as the first 'proper' period after coming off the pill?

I was convinced AF was here Sunday evening, but it has all but gone, and am a tad confused Hmm

Summerbird73 · 01/03/2011 13:08

yes maybe that happened to me when i came off the pill a few years ago, i went from having week long AF's to having only two days Grin i have been off it for years now (we used johnnies instead!)

makes for more chances to SWI!!

kitkat1000 · 01/03/2011 13:29

Hi just been reading this thread out of interest to be honest but thought i'd add something. When i tried for my first child it took 5 months, second 13 months and third 3 months - i used ovulation packs throughout which helped. There's a misconception that people ovulate on day 14 - its actually 14 days before your period starts so i found using ovulation kits that i could detect ovulation and thus when my period was due. This helped me not get my hopes up until that day passed. Hard i know but it used to drive me mad wandering! i'm convinced i got pregnant quicker the third time by giving up my one glass of wine per night! I will say though for those worrying about periods that i had terrible pain the months i got pregnant - more so than with a period - i also had bleading in the first 6 weeks with all 3 so don't always rule out pregnancy when you get pains etc - the pains were more a sign that i was pregnant!

Dawnyann · 01/03/2011 14:07

Hi all, i'm very new here (only joined yesterday) but I am now activley trying for baby no.2 and really want it to be a 2011 baby :)

I said that we'd just see how things go but im finding myself timing the sex now. Its amazing how quickey you go from casually just "seeing what happens" to "get here now it's time!!" haha.

Nice to meet you all anyway & fingers crossed for everyone to get their 2011 baby as hoped!

X

emmaloupolman · 01/03/2011 15:29

weimy · 01/03/2011 16:45

Hi dawn & Emma welcome to the thread and good luck!!!

thanks for the advice kitkat :)

Shattered today but AF is easing off. Hope you are all well !

maybebabyR · 01/03/2011 19:57

Thanks summer and kitkat , and hi dawn and emma!

Pleased AF is being a bit kinder weimy, FX for the next month Smile

Had some brown spotting today, my body is bizarre!!

Summerbird73 · 01/03/2011 20:47

good advice kitkat just goes to show our bodies arent exactly like clockwork - i remember a friend of mine saying that they will decide when to have number 2 as they got PG in the first month with number 1 so they must be super fertile - naive or what? Hmm

welcome dawn and emma i am also on number 2 (only just got PG - 8 weeks now) and i am more terrified than when i got PG with DS! only because i am worried DS will feel neglected when no2 comes along, i dont want him to think i dont love him (he will be 2.4 when babba born)

FX weimy for this month and waves to everyone else on here Smile

BTW me and DH had a SP session last night - the first one since conception Blush it was rather good actually! Wink as there was no pressure. Still thats his lot for another 6 weeks! Wink

weimy · 01/03/2011 21:39

Thanks summer and maybe

summer he wont because there will be twice as much love to go around :)

fragglerocks · 02/03/2011 10:05

Hi ladies, welcome to the newbies!

Fraggle SWI............check
Pineapple juice.......check
Brazil nuts...............check

All I need now is a bit of symptom spotting!

Has anyone heard from unicorn? Just wondered how she was getting on?

Dawnyann · 02/03/2011 10:30

Hi Summer,

You will have to involve him as much as possible with the new baby so that he feels all grown up. Someone once told me that it helped them NOT to be holding the baby when they came home or in hospital when their other child came in.

Also you could buy him a present from the new baby & put it in their cot/pram which might help.

My DS really wants another brother or sister and keeps asking for one, she doesn't get jealous whatsoever if i hold another baby. I think that she thinks a sibling is actually for HER and it will be like a real life doll for her haha.

Just watch when it does finally happen she'll prob hate it lol :o

emmaloupolman · 02/03/2011 18:43

Summer did u conceived no 2 naturaly?

Summerbird73 · 02/03/2011 20:01

good advice thanks dawn

emma yes we did conceive naturally, took a few months with DS 2 years ago but was quicker this time.

Unicornlover · 02/03/2011 23:24

Hi all.

I've handed in another test yesterday to go to the lab and am having one done at surgery on friday. If they come back showing nothing GP is sending me for a blood test finally.

On another note by dates I should be 8 to 9 weeks but I'm wondering if I have done what I did with DS and had AF for the first 2 or 3 months as I am sure I have felt movement and sickness has stopped. It could also explain why tests aren't working apparently as they only measure up to a certain level of hcg or something. Has anyone else heard of this?

Dawnyann · 03/03/2011 11:21

I really really wanna positive result this month but the weeks wait is killing me.

Not due till the 10th, anyone know what the best test is to get those early results??? Confused

'I'm Soooooo impatient' Blush

weimy · 03/03/2011 12:47

unicorn I have heard of it for one month, but if you have experienced it with DS then this could be what it is! Blinkin eck :) FX !

Dawn I would leave it and just test on 1st day of missed AF x

Summerbird73 · 03/03/2011 13:14

dawn try Clearblue Digital - that will tell you if you are PG and if it is 1-2 weeks after ovulation

unicorn millions of FX for you - hopefully not long to wait for any kind of answers

mumtoo4 · 03/03/2011 13:23
