Hi all
I didn't want to hop on a bus because i'm not really aiming for a specific month to have a baby in so i thought i'd start a general "trying to conceive a 2011 baby" and see if anyone wants to join me :D

Hi weimy I know what you mean! My mind is on ttc all the time, even at work sometimes its hard to concentrate. Had your therm and peesticks arrived yet? I ordered some peesticks on 31/12 and they havnt arrived yet. When do you think you can expect OV this time?

Iwish My stuff has not arrived either, due to OV around the 11th I think so hopefully the sticks will arrive soon :)

I bet they wil arrive within the next couple of days. When did you order yours? Think it will be about 15th or 16th when I OV, wish it was sooner, I want to get going!!

What's the best/cheapest way to predict when I'm ovulating? I haven't a clue. I got pain mid cycle this month but this is my first period in a LONG time!

Hi gilly I would say ovulation kits. You can buy them off eBay. You can get 50 for about £10 if not less. I use them and also I am temping to check I ovulated.

Hi weimy no mine havnt come yet :(. Not that it matters toouch as I already have my therm and a few OV tests left. Have you signed up to fertility friend yet? This charting business it quite addictive lol. I was quite excited putting my first temps in etc. here's my not very exciting chart at the moment :) chart

To be honest weimy the weeks before OV arent so exciting, the chart gets more exciting around and after OV. I didn't have a clue at first but if you sort of keep up with the charts on the charting thread it eventually sinks in lol.

My BBT Thermometer arrived today so I can start temping tomorrow. That with my OPK's really isn't going to help the obsessing but at least I will get a better idea of what my body is up to.

Iwish due you pay to use FF? Or just go with the free stuff?

Hi mslk how are you? I just have the free stuff. When you first sign up they give you a VIP membership for a while anyway I think. :)
I know exactly what you mean about the obsessing, I'm exactly the same but the opks are foot for predicting OV and the temping to confirm you have OV'd.

Just wondering what sort of thermometer you all use, been googling and they reference a "Basal" Thermometer never heard of one of those before...
Also the sticks you wee on to test if you are ovulating... can you get those in other places apart from ebay? what do I google for? can't google "the sticks you wee on to test if you are ovulating" Smile can't use eBay as my paypal account died...

Hi karbea. Yep they are basal thermometers. They measure to 2 decimal places so sensitive enough to track the slightest temp change which you need for temping. Yeh you can buy OV sticks from lots of places. Maybe try amazon. Just input ovulation test and it should bring them up. You can buy then from tesco and asda etc but even their own brand are about £5 for 7 tests but eBay and amazon sell about 30 for that price.

hey everyone can i join ttc 2011m good luck to everyone on this post !

my history is had mc at 18 weeks june 2010, has taken this long to get my head straight although dont think i am completely there yet.

just some advice my last cycle was 18th december, calculated that i ovulated in around 31st 1st jan ?

today have had a tiny bit of blood and some cramp like pains was thinking and hoping inplantation bleed or am i being too hopeful.

What's your usual cycle length? It could have been implantation, fingers crossed for you.

hey, my husband and I are also trying for a 2011 baby!

I have PCOS and just finished my first cycle of clomid. Ov'd about 23/12 and AF due today although no sign yet. Negative pregnancy test this morning so am just waiting to see...

mslk I got my thermom yesterday but got out bed before taking my temp! I am going to start properly tomorrow too!

Tried the peestick today but did not get a positive or negative will try to get it right tomorrow:)

hope everyone is ok, I'm only on cd7 so nothing happening really :)

Hi mslk I'm good thanks Hun. Want time to go a bit quicker so I can hatch my little eggy lol. Yeh I got a bit worried that I wasn't ovulating but when I charted I could see it in front of my very eyes, fab.

weimy I did a similar thing on Xmas day except mine was pure stupidity. I woke up at 6:50 (usually do my temp at 7:00), looked at my clock and actually thought to myself 'I have to take my temp in 10 mins then stupidly got out of bed and went to the loo!! Sat there telling myself what a dope I was!! I set my alarm from 7:00 at weekends too then go back to sleep.
What happened with your pee stick?

It was a negative I just read the instructions wrong! I can't do one today because I have been teaching privately in students homes and the mums kept making me cups of tea!

temp was 96.1 today is that too high?

Hi weimy no I don't think that's too high, mine was 96.80 today and yesterday was 97.20.
Think I'll try n pee on sticks from tomorrow. The worst is at work because people keep offering brews. I have a rubbish bladder and because I do my test at 5pm at home I can't have a drink from 12:00!!
