Hi all
I didn't want to hop on a bus because i'm not really aiming for a specific month to have a baby in so i thought i'd start a general "trying to conceive a 2011 baby" and see if anyone wants to join me :D

Not sure who else can test, everyone has been v quiet. Think weimy could do another as her sf is due in 2 days. I'm only 7dpo so can't really test for another few days.

Well I'm 7dpo and waiting till nee years eve to test. Hope it's our month, DP and I can't wait to be parents. .

Merry Christmas everyone, sorry it's late. I came down with Flu Monday, OV day I think, so that has wiped me out for a while and put pay to any further SWI. Hopefully we did enough before.

Yes, its our first month! We've talked about it for a while, and yesterday got the big 'O' on my persona monitor, so we went for it Blush

Its day 12 of my cycle now, but I've ovulated so 14 days till I can test I think?

My weird cm has stopped and my boobs are starting to hurt, I'm going to test in a week if AF doesn't arrive, not quite sure when AF due though as first month of trying after coming off mini-pill.

Hi daisy yeh usually 14 days before you can test but some people can get a +ve early. I'll be testing at 12dpo so a bit earlier :). Are you using anything else apart from your monitor?

I had it for 6 days, was (sorry tmi) quite a dark brown colour, not heavy enough to think AF was starting and pretty much only showed when I wiped, was starting to feel a bit disgusting about it all but then it stopped Christmas eve...who knows what it is, trying not to get too excited as my cycle is all over the place!

Just using my persona for the moment. We've used it for a while as contraception so have just reversed the lights :-) Its not a crisis if it doesn't happen immediately as OH is a sheep farmer, & lambing is a nightmare for pg girlies...

Lou brown sounds like old blood. I was going to sat implantation but I'm not sure if 6 days is a bit too long. What length are your cycles usually? And when was your last af?
Company off BCP makes your cycles all wierd. Ive not had 1 cycle the same. Uve had 25,26,27 and 32 days! Think this one will be 30 if I'm not pg.

No AF here yet but tested -ve :( Should be due on today. Hopefully my cycle is not going to get messed up Confused. I think after AF I will try just SWIing every other day, weeing on things is hard work :( .

Oh weimy sorry you didn't get bfp. You may have OV'd a little later which would explain why you have -ve and no af. Happened to me last month. Thought my cycle would be 25-27 like it had been the last few months but it was 32! So you could still get a bfp if you OV'd a few days later or unfortunately get af a few days later.
And I know what you mean about keep peeing on sticks, I was doing it 2 times a day! I just bought some cheapies off the Internet and got a bbt thermometer so I can track OV now.

Congrats broody, big congrats.

I've been using those ovulation sticks off amazon. Thought they weren't working, as they say you're due to ovulate in the middle of your cycle, or 10-16 before AF due.

I've got to day 20 (so two days post when i'm not meant to be ovulating) and hey presto, two lines.

So, SWI this morning, and by damn sure he ain't finished yet.

Hi strumpet! How was your christmas? I thought 10-16 days too but last month it was 18!! this month it was 16. Make sure you get lots of SWI in then :). So you will have quite a long cycle then probably 34 days. When I OV'd on cd18 my cycle was 32 days.

I'm going to test on Thursday and will be 11dpo. Would test tomorrow if I could but DPs dad is staying so no chance I can be peeing in a pot lol!!

No AF yet and boobs really tender, even cuddles from the dogs are uncomfy :( just wish AF would arrive so I can figure out when I am next due to ovulate. Spotted yesterday but now nothing would that count as the first day?

I'm out, AF got me today. Did OPK's this month for the first time and FF says I only had an 8 day Luteal Phase. Not good news.

Weimy you can't count spotting as the first day, I would wait a few more days if I were you and if still no af then maybe test again. You could have OV'd really late and the spotting could be implantation?

Oh no mslk sorry af got you! It's rubbish isn't it. Maybe your next lp will be longer. Have you just come off BCP?
I'm ok thanks. Currently on 10dpo. Might test tomorrow... Or might leave it till Friday. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed.

Shit day today not even got enough money to buy an onion and a pack of savers toilet paper very Blush at the tesco counter. So phoned OH and had a go at him, made me feel a lot better.

Sorry about AF mslk,mines not here yet but I had huge sweats last night so know it is on the way.

Iwish wont start the count from tue, wonder if I have been miscounting from the start? Fingers still crossed for you!!!

Sorry you had a shit day weimy. If it makes you feel any better I've been feeling sorry for myself since I took my temp at 7am and it had shot through the floor. Ttc sucks sometimes! You spend most of your life trying not to get pregnant and when you want a baby you are still waiting 5 months later. I have my fingers crossed that af doesn't arrive for you.
Yeh apparently you are supposed to count from the day of full flow (sorry if tmi) I never get spotting, just full flow then a few v light days so I found this out off another thread.

Weimy hope AF doesn't get you. And hope your day has got better.

Iwish Does BCP mean Pill? If so not just come off it. It's been out of my system for over a year. Hoping the Flu is what has knocked things out of kilter and that is nothing more serious than that. Have just ordered myself a basal thermometer so I can track my temps and use the OPK's, at least then I can find out what's going on a bit more.
Sorry to hear your temp has dropped [hug].

It's amazing how much we learn from this TTC business.

Iwish are you thinking about visiting the doc at all or going to give yourselves some more time?

Hi mslk yeh BCP means the pill. I thought maybe the pill could have messed up your cycle. Mine has been random since coming off it. But like you say it could be due to flu etc.
You should try the bbt thermometer, it shows you when exactly you ovulated, if you havnt already sign up to fertility friend too, you just have to put your temps into the website and it does everything for you. My main worry was that I wasn't ovulating since I hadn't got pg by month 4 so month 5 I tried charting and hey presto I can see when I ovulated, I used cheap opks off the Internet too.

I think we will give ourselves more time because as far as I've heard docs wont see you till you've been trying for a year and we are only just ending month 5. I have to say though I'm losing patience. I just want to be a mum now!
