Welcome back Chocky!Grin

Ladybee · 03/11/2010 21:54

Hi all

nickster I completely understand the drag it can be sometimes - I've been a bit the same this cycle. Very Very aware of that I'm moving through the 3 months, and into the longer term and jsut sort feeling like I need hold something in reserve to get through those times.

pink, what are your temps doing? Are they staying up? going higher? I'm going to cross fingers that that +ve on the OPK is forecasting a +ve on the an HPT. But I'd probably do a safety shag just in case.

youremindme. Poo. Sorry chick.

MummyAbroad does the period normally arrive as soon as you stop? It's been so long since I was on the pill I forget how it works Confused

choccy good to have you back, and glad that your trip for the funeral went as well as can be expected, but sorry about AF's appearance.

I had a lovely day today, drove across London to see a friend and her 5.5 mo, nice chat, baby cuddles, yummy lunch, then back across London home again. Apart from the driving, all good. God I'd love an automatic car. And one with a radio that works Grin

MummyAbroad · 03/11/2010 22:08

Hi LadyB hhhm good point. I cant remember either, I came off the pill in Sep 2009, and BM (before miscarriage) I never paid any attention whatsoever to anything to do with fertility. Having tampons in the house would have classed as being "clued up" about my bodily workings. Grin

so straw poll then ladies, how many does post pill did you (used to) bleed?

Velvetcu · 03/11/2010 22:15

I used to get af about 2 or 3 days after stopping the pill

Quick wave to all!

fireworknix · 03/11/2010 22:17

I know Bee and i am only in cycle 1! Long road ahead i think.... but wishing not!

fondant have high hopes too if those temps stay up also...remember only 18! God starting to sound like i have swalliwed TCOYF but feeling slightly empowered, wish i had studied VAG's at uni instead of the bloody useless rubbish that i did!! Mums i am 34 and only just beginning to discover bodily workings i am Blush to say!

cocks sorry about the AF but glad you are home and the funeral was your chance to say goodbye xx

Night ladies xx

fireworknix · 03/11/2010 22:18

Mumms meant to say not been on pill for 10 years plus so wouldnt have a clue sorry :( Mayeb a day or 2

IzzyWizzyletsgetsomesparklers · 03/11/2010 22:19

choccy good to have you back, lovely x

I did ring a private fc nix and it would be about £86 for just the progesterone test, only one as well so I would have to be exact on the dates. Weren't keen on just doing that though, wanted me to book a consultation which is £200 plus tests. I don't know. DH won't go for it because (a) he doesn't believe there might be a problem and (b) he's more take-it-or-leave-it about the whole thing.

mummyabroad I really really hope AF gets her arse over to you pronto! Will be keeping everything crossed for you x

IzzyWizzyletsgetsomesparklers · 03/11/2010 22:31

mummya I think AF used to arrive a couple of days after I stopped, so if I took last pill on weds she would roll up on Friday. Mind you I'm going back 11 years there (except for a very brief flurry to sort out my periods after having dd 4 years ago!) so not sure how reliable my memory is on that!!

MummyAbroad · 03/11/2010 23:00

Great, so AF in time for the weekend thenHmmSmile

Pinks Wheres ya chart?

Izzy Gulp. thats pretty expensive. A consultation with a gynecologist over here costs £30-40 (mind you I dont rate them very much!). Have you seen this, it might give you an idea of what you can find out from testing. My DH has been spectacularly despondant about every single suggestion I have ever made about ttc. Fortunately I have detected a pattern, at first mention its "no, I dont think thats a great idea", 5th mention "mumble grumble etc" but by the 50th he starts to realise its probably better to get on board and help me rather stand by and watch my sad face make the same request over and over again. Wish I could speed the process up though! I do hope that the spotting is not AF coming though. How many cycles of B6 have you done now? Maybe it takes a while to kick in? xxx

PinkFondantFancy · 04/11/2010 06:45

mummya here you go! www.fertilityfriend.com/home/318e86 this is only my first cycle of charting but if I wasn't using the CBFM I would have sworn that I ovulated a week ago. FF thought that too until I told it about the peaks.....

I will do a proper catch up with everyone when I'm on the train in a bit xx

PinkFondantFancy · 04/11/2010 06:45

mummya sorry here's the link www.fertilityfriend.com/home/318e8

OrangeToeNails · 04/11/2010 06:56

Morning! Mummya mine came back in 3 days, then settled after that to 35 cycle

izzy that's tough, after a rough time last time I'd pay the money, but easier said than done especially with Xmas coming up. Sorry you're in this position at all

Just doing positive thinking to will AF here, 3 weeks since mc/erpc, then hopefully get a go before Xmas :) any tips welcome, or is it really just a waiting game?

Waves to all hope you have a fab day :) :)

PinkFondantFancy · 04/11/2010 08:40

Morning nice ladies, thanks so much for all your advice and support yesterday, I really appreciate it. Turns out that if I do actually only ov on cd25, might actually explain the lack of success to date....

izz how are you doing today? Hope AF stayed away....

bonfire sorry about BFN, hopefully it's just too soon to test. Sorry about rapidly approaching due date too... :(

Hehe nix luckily no tricking needed, panic swi mission successful. Might try again tonight....

chocky welcome back! Sorry AF came, good work on the guiness!! Surely it's got medicinal properties??

Hehe lady no car radio! That sucks!

aandr how's planning permission going? Are you gonna be on grand designs???

mummya I think AF used to rock up about 3 days after last pill so fingers crossed it'll be any day now.

Hi orange sorry don't think I've said hello yet! Fx AF turns up soon for you too!

Hugs for everyone feeling a bit despondent, me too :( it's almost 5 months since mc and I know people are going to start asking me "so do you think you'll try again" any day now. Advice from everyone in rl is that I'm trying too hard and I should distract myself with something else, but how can I when this is all I want, and I feel like I'm just treading water waiting.... :( I think I might try fo another job next year, doing 11 hour days and being out of the house for more like 13 isn't actually helping anything.

Hello to velvet, pretty, owly an everyone else, sorry for rubbish namecheck, at work now so have to try and catch up again tonight xxxx

youremindmeofthebonfire · 04/11/2010 09:06

Hi orange SmileIt is just a waiting game, I'm afraid..mine was 2 calendar months to the day post erpc, which seems to be on the long side of some others here.

pink Sorry you're feeling despondent too(good word). I feel your pain re people asking when you're going to have another. I am dreading Christmas for that reason only. I am excited to see my family too though, and I know they won't ask as they're fully aware of my mc.

I have decided that I am going to pour all my energies into trying to organise a party for DS. Which will be on my due date. DP liked to joke that we only had sex once a year on Valentines day. Bless him, when I got upset last night he had to go out, and when he came back he brought me a cadbury's wish (scrummy if you haven't had one)which was poignant and sweet, and a bottle of wine that I don't have the heart to tell him I can't drink just yet.

mummya 2-3 days for mine to reappear after stopping. Let us know how you get on.

Perhaps we all have a little Seasonal Affective Disorder exacerbated by the mc's

IzzyWizzyletsgetsomesparklers · 04/11/2010 09:39

pink I'm ok thanks, AF hasn't arrived just yet and spotting appears to have stopped for now. if she can hold off until tomorrow then it's the same as last cycle (8dpo) but at least wouldn't be getting shorter - anything above that would be a bonus!

The whole cycle monitoring is very illuminating though isn't it - like you say, if it turns out you do ov late then you would have been trying at completely the wrong time - me too. So although it can make things more stressful, I definitely appreciate knowing what's going on.

YRMOTB v good news of no AF yet for you, will be keeping my fingers crossed this is a sign!

I know what you both mean about hitting that point where people are asking questions- it's been 4 months for me and my mum was saying last week "oh I thought we would have had some news from you by now". Like I wouldn't love to be able to give them some good news but it's not that bloody simple is it. Even my boss yesterday when I asked for a decaff coffee said, smirking slightly, "so are we still on the decaff or back on the decaff?"

I don't understand why people feel the need to comment and question, especially when they know we've already lost a baby recently and therefore it's likely to be a sensitive issue. Mind you, my dsis used to get upset because no one ever dared mention it to her and she felt like they'd "written her off". So maybe they can't win whatever they do!

Anyway girls, I still think we will get there in the end and it will all be worth it then.

orange I completely understand your impatience!! My first AF was 30 days from ERPC, usual cycles were 29 at that point so it was fairly normal in terms of length for me. Fx that she arrives soon and you manage some lucky Christmas shagging!

mummya - any news?

nix did I read right and you affectionately referred to choccy as " cocks " yesterday? Made me giggle. Oh god I think I need to grow up! Grin

inbetweener · 04/11/2010 10:37

Good morning everyone,
I will try and name check as best as I can, although I am in an utterly teary, moody mood today and trying very hard to pull myself out of it and get a grip.
I have just booked a birthday party for my 5 year old on the 4th December so like Youremindme I am going to put all my energies into that. I know I should be grateful for what I already have I shouldnt need reminding.

PFF I havent started predicting when I am ovulating yet and it sounds tricky business so I am not surprised if you have got it wrong. Hope your panic shag worked lol

Izzy ooh AF hasnt arrived, thats great news.
and Sad to comments from your mum. I think mine would say " oh you must be mad at your age " if i told her I was lucky anough to be pg again.

mummya my periods used to arrive about 2-3 days after stopping the pill too. It was pretty predictable.

Well todays news is AF is still due at the weekend, still hanst arrived and I havent tested again since yesterday morning with an IC lol. I dont think I can bear seeing another so bearing in mind the absolute full on cramps and wind Blush I am experiencing I am guessing she will arrive on saturday morning bang on time. Told DH last night I thought it was on its way and he said " well never mind, we'll just have to keep banging away next month " NICE !!!!!!!Shock

Trawled the internet this morning and came across a thread about the horrors of the depo injection and how basically you can never concieve after being on it and how terrible it is etc etc. It has scared the pants off me as I was on it about 2 years ago for 6 months before swapping to the pill. Anyone had any experience or do I need slapping ?

Wombat33 · 04/11/2010 10:44

Hi ladies, how are you all this morning?

izzy glad that the spotting hasn't got worse. Wishing for a BFP for you, and if not then at least 8 day luteal phase Smile

orange I had an erpc and got AF 6 weeks later, then got preg again and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, got AF 6 weeks later. Both times I was at my wit's end waiting for AF and went for acupuncture. Both times AF arrived the next day. Could have been coincidence, but I love acupuncture and believe I'm receptive to it so who knows..

bonfire organising a birthday party is definitely a good way to distract your self, it'll keep you (very) busy and the look on your ds's face on the day will make it worth it Grin

PFF I hope you're feeling Ok today. At the end of this month it'll be 5 months for me too. It's rubbish isn't it. I went to see the doctor (again) the other day to get some advice about all of this and of course blubbed my way through the entire appointment. Luckily they're all lovely at my GPs and he said that if he was a betting man he'd put money on me being pregnant in 3 months (good thing to say Mr Doctor) and if I wasn't they would start doing tests to find out why. Restored my faith a little, I assumed it'd be far more difficult to get any help on the NHS.

mummya it was too long ago for me to remember I'm sorry but will keep my fx that it comes soon xx

Hello to orange and nix and getdown and choccy and aandr and ladyb.

My happy thought for the day is I'm off to Italy for a girlie weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday! AF is due Mon/Tues (if I'm back to normal cycle, which I think I am) so it's a shame I won't be able to drink myself silly 'just in case', but at least it will keep my mind of testing. Am 98% sure nothing's happening this month. I feel too normal. Ah well, there's always next month x

IzzyWizzyletsgetsomesparklers · 04/11/2010 11:07

inbetweener well done re the newly-found willpower. Fx the cramps/wind combo is a new and lovely pg symptom and not onset of AF!!

wombat - sorry she got you Sad. I think the consensus is that she is a bitch atm x

jam you lucky thing!! Have a fab weekend in Italy - where are you going? DH took me to Rome last yr for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was lovely Smile

The morning's been pretty stressy so far here, dd couldn't find her school shoes (she definitely came home in them yesterday) and I had to turn the house upside down looking for them still with no success, with the result that she had to go in mad pink summer shoes (because I haven't got round to getting her winter boots yet) and her and ds were late and I turned into Shouty Mummy which I now feel really guilty about. Anyway I am going to brave the drizzle and go for a run to clear my head before resuming the shoe search Hmm

inbetweener · 04/11/2010 11:56

Izzy I feel your pain. That was me this morning trying to find a xmas card design drawing off DD's that HAD to be handed in today. I was shouty mummy too and she was so upset. Its just that I seem to never spend any time in the mornings getting myself ready for work so she goes to school looking glorious and I end up here like an old hag in mis matched clothes and wind swept hair....sigh.
half of me would like another baby if only for a bit of maternity leave so i can get my huose straightend and take some time off lol.
Not really, but ykwim !!!

Jamface · 04/11/2010 12:08

I'm off to Arezzo in Tuscany izzy. Never been there before but it looks beautiful! Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetsomesparklers · 04/11/2010 12:41

inbetweener I know what you mean, I hate mornings like that but it seems to be an occupational hazard!!

My good intentions re running were thwarted by the fact that my iPod wasn't charged and I can't move without it, but I have booked into yoga for tomorrow so that'll have to do instead. Not too distessed tbh because weather is absolutely awful right now!

velvet was it you saying that your temps seemed really low? The first month I temped mine were really low pre-ov, going down to 35.85 and only just popping up over 36 (did go up after ov). When I showed my chart to my acupuncturist she commented that it did seem a little low, didn't say specifically that it was a problem but advised me to keep warm, especially in the areas of uterus and feet (?!) Thus I am now wearing big furry slippers around the house! Anyway it does seem to have had an effect, my temps have not gone below 36 this month. Don't know if this would help you but thought I would pass it on just in case! Smile

AandRMum · 04/11/2010 13:27

izzy and inbetweener shouty mummy makes regular appearances at our house as well ... I always chant Anne of Green Gables to myself 'Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it' before muttering ' but I sure as hell will manage to cram some in!'

MummyA I am the same as the others with my af turning up a couple of days after stopping. For those who don't use the pill, if it isn't TMI, what do you use? I hate the pill and condoms in equal measure!!

jam I am greeeeeen with envy. I would highly recommend no restraint as each of my DD were thoroughly drowned in the nectar if the gods prior to bfp and I secretly believe that was a key factor in my bfps. I won't test this month until after my birthday drinks on 22nd for this reason!!!!

AandRMum · 04/11/2010 13:29

Also meets my ridiculous criteria of testing just before or after a memorable date April 2nd for DD1 ( too scared to test on April 1st) and Christmas eve for dd2!

Urbanlolly · 04/11/2010 13:36

jam go for it you lucky girl.... I tested twice before a work leaving party last fri...(bfn's).... did not intend to get hammered but SO did!!!

Been lurking just wanted to send (((((HUGS))))) to you all xxxxxx
