A comfy little corner for those who need company in the post mc ttc journey!

To POAS or not to POAS? That is the question!

All welcome Smile

Sorry for the silly phone typos[hblush][hblush]

nickstermum · 26/10/2010 23:42

Liz also meant to say a big welcome, sorry you are on here, but i hope you and everyones stay will be short! I am not always the one who rants and swears today has just been trying! [hgrin]

MummyAbroad · 26/10/2010 23:55

Sorry just needed to share this... my gynecologist has moved into new offices and has a shiney glass door with "Vaginal Rejuvination Laser Centre" written in swirly letters on it. Hmm

So does this mean I should seriously worry about his ability to treat my fertility issues or be pleased that he is also keeping asthetics a top priority? Confused

PS Nix, good rant! Sorry you had such a shit day, but its good to let it all out like that. I find watching DS sleeping very therapuetic. Hope you feel better tommorrow xxx

PinkFondantFancy · 27/10/2010 06:40

Hello all just a quicky otherwise I'm going to be hopelessly late for work but I wanted mummya's advice on my chart!!! www.fertilityfriend.com/home/318e86
I thought day 12 was the day, but temps have plummeted again! aghghg! Do you reckon the 36.4 was just a rubbish reading? If I hadn't seen that I would probably be more chilled about things.... Glad dr went ok-ish, fingers crossed for 8 days time. hehehe about the laser, anyone seeing you walking in there will think you're getting some kind of cosmetic nip and tuck done on your fanjo Grin - do people really do that??!?!?! I don't think it's anything to worry about though, hopefully it means he's seen a lot of fanjos and knows what he's doing??
HUGE hugs for nickster sorry for your shite day - wallpapering angry is a bad idea though!!!! Grin! Haven't you got any left to remove instead?? That would be way more satisfying! Would getting a different job or different role be feasible? I can't help but think that my job isn't exactly helping my chances on this ttc thing :(

Jam Grin at your DH's comment about you having his sperm, v. romantic......... You would have thought they'd like being used for sex but apparently not so much!

Gotta run, I hope today is better for you all xxxx

nickstermum · 27/10/2010 06:56

MUMS thats just hilarious! so when you think its not working properly or looks old and wrinkly you can get it spruced up - fab!

fondant the wallpapering helped.....but maybe not the finish i wanted [hgrin] Thanks but its not the job, the job doesnt help as it adds stresswise, but thats not the main problem. I work for a good co, good job been there 11 years its just stressy as its year end, and everything has just gone mental with new business.

Today will be a better day xxxxxx

youremindmeofthebat · 27/10/2010 08:57

Sorry you've had a difficult day yesterday. Today will be better. Happy thought for the day, I saw the most beautiful winter sunrise this morning, with bald trees highlighted against it, whilst I was wrapped up nice and warm. Unfortunately on my way to work, but you can't have everything..

mummyA Glad you had what you want re the HSG. Sorry you had stirrups AGAIN. I did snigger a bit at your DH's comment, sounds like something my DP would say.

Jam[hgrin] at dh.

pff hows you?

I feel stuffed today, went out for a curry last night, I had Fish Masala to start and then a lamb palak karahi for main with chapattis. Twas truly scrumptious.

Waves to all x

inbetweener · 27/10/2010 10:42

morning all,

another gloomy day here.

bat yum to fish masala sounds really nice !
mummy wow nothing like announcing your business to the world huh lol. I work in a breast cancer unit and the Gynae clinic is opposite us and you always see people quickly darting in and out as if its shameful. Its never referred to as the gynae clinic either its given a fancy name lol.

Hello to everyone else, im sorry im not good at the name check thing I am trying to recognise you all and learn your stories lol.
Sadaly there are so many of us Sad

So I am CD18 today and fully into the 2ww. I have no idea what my body is doing this month. I dont appear to have had ov pains but on the other hand the last two days I have had all sorts of weird pains that feel like AF is coming any second but its way too early.
I am not going to POAS early this month either, I cant bear the heartache quite frankly. I burst into tears last night cos I juts wanted to go to sleep and DH was sulking a bit. I think he has got used to dtd every night and I just couldnt be arsed !!Im not sure whats wrong with me but I def have the blues at the moment.
Plus I am working all week and its halfterm so I am missing my girls. I hate being at work while they are off school.
DD1 goes to brownie camp this aftneroon until friday. DH is dropping her off, its her first one eeeeek.

OK right now while I am sitting at my desk typing this I have total and utter AF feelings. Pain in the front of my stomach and def cramping. I am 4DPO so i know its not anything exciting, juts wish I knew what my body was doing !!! Confused

MummyAbroad · 27/10/2010 12:58

Quick on for Pink,

still lools like a nice normal, albiet pre-ov chart to me. I wouldnt call that drop a "plummet" your chart hasnt stretched to full height yet so its making it look like a bigger drop than it really is, these are in fact tiny, normal pre ov fluctuations. If you are getting disheartened, and want more info, now would be a good time to do cervix checking if you are up for it. You should notice it going from feeling hard like your nose, to soft like your lips as ov approaches. CMFM hasnt detected a peak (LH surge) yet, so you will probably be able to feel the hard pre ov cervix and watch it change over the next few days. xxx

owlgiblets · 27/10/2010 13:37

Afternoon all :)

I did try and post a proper big message earlier today but the internet ate it. Bad internet!

Hope everyone is having a better day today - seems like there's a touch of gloom in the air at the moment.

Hugs and a mountain of dairy milk bars for all & I shall try to catch up again properly later..

MummyAbroad · 27/10/2010 14:12

HeadlessLadyBoo · 27/10/2010 15:02

Hi (see I told you I wouldn't be able to keep away)
Having brief respite from potty-training boot camp in the Boo House. Day 3 (or is it 4?) and things aren't going well. There have been tears on both sides Blush.
Aye well, I'm sure a nap for him and a cup of tea and biscuit for me will do us both the world of good.

I'm having another weird CBFM month, day 11 I think and still no 'high' although I'm sure I saw EWCM yesterday so think I'm heading into the 'zone'. Last month had no highs but did go straight to peak. I wonder what's going on?

PFF I had a gander at your chart and it looks pre-ov to me too.

Just going to do list. Nickster, shall I drop you down? I've put you down as day 2 today.

Oi. Loola what happened with your OPKs, they were looking +ve...did you test with a proper HPT yet?.
Dachs are you on an IVF cycle this month or just chancing to the wind?
tunnocks, wiggle, owls..taps fingers expectantly...come on ladies, no secret testing on this thread.

It's not happening, Ladyboo , I have no tests Grin More to the point, I know for sure that evil AF will arrive tomorrow or Friday, which will at least enable me to drink my way through the horrific w/e ahead with the inlaws.

Potty-training sounds horrendous. I salute you. :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/10/2010 16:33

Hi ladies

Have been steered your way, hope you don't mind me popping in.

Just MC-ing today. 5 weeks pregnant Sad Sad

Feels like my hopes and dreams have been dashed. I was ok at first (i.e. accepting, resigned etc.), but have just been feeling worse and worse as the day has worn on (upset, confused, disappointed).

The GP called me back and just said to let nature take its course. I don't have to go in to see him.

I suppose that is a good thing, not sure I could face a scan with no baby to see in there Sad

Sorry you have all been through this too, am looking for people who understand how it feels, also that can tell me it gets better.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/10/2010 16:33

At my mum's so just a quick one...

(((hugs))) to nicks velvet inbetweener and anyone else who needs one, sorry everyone's feeling a bit low. velvet I think mc is a huge thing to deal with and don't think some kind of counselling or therapy is a bad idea. Have you asked your gp for recommendations? When I saw mine after the ERPC she recommended a local charity that did free counselling, specialising in mc and baby loss. In the event I didn't contact them but wouldn't rule it out for the future, especially if we never get another baby.

mummya loving the whole blatant-ness of having a Vaginal Rejuvenation Centre, although wondering how many people really feel the need for cosmetic fanjo surgery! Sorry the appointment wasn't more conclusive, but at least things seem to be progressing? Hope you're doing ok x

Shagathon has ended here (phew!) and tbh although the CBFM showed a peak I'm not entirely convinced I ov'd as temps haven't risen. If I did it was only in last day or two. Despite that I am feeling ok about it all - ok it's not likely to be this month, but I know we made a really good effort so am feeling better about it all.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/10/2010 16:40

Sorry x-posted getdown so sorry to hear your news Sad. I hope you are coping and getting lots of support in RL. Sadly we have all been there and you will get lots of support on here.

I imagine things seem pretty bleak right now, in answer to your question, yes it does get better but it might take time and even then we all have our low times so never be afraid to come here for a good cry or rant if you need it.

. Good to see you again - good luck with the potty training, I remember it well!

nickstermum · 27/10/2010 16:47

Boo how old is ds? I tried at 2 then put him back in pull ups as it distressed him so much! 6 months or so later it took 3 days boys take longer than girls and my ds clearly wasn't ready! It distressed me too! He wasn't making the assiciation between need and act!

nickstermum · 27/10/2010 16:51

Ps boo sorry I didn't do the list!

Jamface · 27/10/2010 17:53

Hi everyone and welcome getdown. I hope you're doing ok. You are right in the middle of the mc at the moment so your emotions and hormones will be haywire. It does get easier but just be easy on yourself. It takes time and even then we all get down about the bloody unfairness of it. We're here any time you want a chat. Do you have support in rl?

mummya that's brilliant! I could definitely do with some vaginal rejuvenation!

nicks hope you're feeling better today (((hugs)))
And boo I waited til ds was almost 3 before potty training Blush partly because he showed no inclination to give up nappies and partly because I couldn't be arsed! It ended up being super easy, no accidents from about day 2. So I second nicks, if it's not going well you could revisit in a few months.

Fx that your shagathon worked izzy. god, all this sex is exhausting isn't it. I have last session planned tonight and am feeling decidedly lacklustre! Smile

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/10/2010 17:58

thanks very much jamface and izzy DH is home now which is good. He is being kind to me.

It does seem so unfair doesn't it jamface?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/10/2010 18:11

jam yes it is exhausting! CBFM was still on high today after the peaks so I know we should really have had one last attempt this morning before I left, but we overslept and quite frankly neither of us could be arsed. Had to pull out all the stops to get dh on board last night Blush. Still we did plenty - now just got to hope I actually ov'd and can get a decent length luteal phase!

Speaking of which, anyone out there temping and using CBFM - have you ever got a peak when you didn't ov? Can it happen?

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/10/2010 18:15

sorry Izzy I don't know about whether you can get a peak on the CBFM but then not ovulate. Hopefully someone else will know.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your cycle to get back on track after a MC? Or does it really vary loads for different people?

Jamface · 27/10/2010 18:34

Hi getdown, it varies a lot from person to person, I had two 6 week cycles after my mc, the third cycle was 26 days (same as pre mc). I'm now on my 4th cycle and if I'm not pregnant I'd say this would be another 26 day cycle, so I guess it's back to normalish (although a few things have changed, such as spotting before af. I never did that before.)
Treat yourself to a large glass of wine tonight and lots of hugs from dh xx

last post from me then I really have to go and start getting dinner ready.

Do you count your WTF cycle as cycle 1 post mc?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/10/2010 19:01

jam - personally no, I just see it as a write-off. So this is actually my fourth month post-mc but I would say it's my third cycle, plus a WTF at the beginning. If that makes sense!
