Lol I hit 14! Now that took some time to shift lol.

HellKat · 21/09/2005 08:42

Thanks Ch.
Ds1 was speaking full sentences before he was two. I've heard your second, third etc do talk later. All day long I natter away to him (lol even out in the town and yes get funny looks too). Always singing to him, telling him everything that I'm doing, what's on tv etc.

maddyd · 21/09/2005 08:43

Hellkat my ds was 2 last fri and hardley talks. He babbles alot and says a few words. He knows his colours and makes counting noises. Apparently boys learn these before they talk properply.

It will come in time, dont worry and just talk to him alot.

HellKat · 21/09/2005 08:44

Mind you, last couple of days my main vocabulary to him has been " Be careful, Damian get down" .

maddyd · 21/09/2005 08:44

Opps Shool run time, well pre school but same thing

HumphreysCorner · 21/09/2005 08:44

Morning ladies

Not testing today as did a sneaky one last night and still BFN so will probably do one tomorrow or Friday. Perhaps we can start a new thread on Monday-start of a fresh new week for everyone. I should think HellKat's AF will have come to see me by then so I can hopefully get PG on the new thread. See what everyone else thinks.

I am 5ft nothing as well but tip the scales (literally) at 11st 4lb . Got down to 10st 4lb when I got PG last time then hit the bottle (and food) after my MC. Am a WW Gold Member and got down to 8st 6lb many, many moons ago though! Must get under 11st.

maddyd-please don't leave us yet-as everyone says, you are our inspiration!

Off to town today so I'll catch up later. Not too much talking now .

xx

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 08:44

I think you are ding everything right. He will talk when he's ready. One day he'll get up and say " good morning Mater! How are you thos very fine morning? What may I ask is for petit dejeune??" (french spelling not so good!)

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 08:47

I hope we never meet up!! On lookers might think its a midget convention!!!! LOL!!!!!!

HumphreysCorner · 21/09/2005 08:47

HellKat-DD is 26 months now and has only just started stringing 2 words together-I'm not worried about it. At 18 months I don't think there was anything recognisable coming out.

HellKat · 21/09/2005 08:47

Maddy- That's great he knows colours! I think I'd be worried if he made no sounds at all. (always babbling away to himself, toys etc).
Good thing is he understands what we're saying, just has typical selective hearing when it comes to No.

HellKat · 21/09/2005 08:50

Hc- Whewww I'm relieved now. Bless him he'll do it when he's ready. Like walking. he waited until 13 mths and was steady. Now he runs full pelt everywhere!
Yay, be great if everyone got pg on the next one!!!! Hope af's not on her way to you Hc, she's a nasty one!

HellKat · 21/09/2005 08:56

Ch- Just read what you'd written about what he'll say. Dp and I said near enough the same lol.

wishingchair · 21/09/2005 09:04

Morning all! Hey does this sound like ov to you ... got the lovely cm and found myself daydreaming on the way to work about going dancing and flirting with gorgeous hot sweaty men. But DH not back till tomorrow night and I'm only on cd9. Going to use first ever ov test later.

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 09:05

I'd say so Wish. CM is usually a good sign. Do you ever get OV pain?

Wills · 21/09/2005 09:11

Good luck with HC for the weekend.

You ladies manage to get near a computer blooming early! Not fair not fair (just jealous). To make matters worse am seriously now considering buying a new computer as I now have to fight for it in the evenings dd1, dd2 and NOW my dh has discovered the joys of the internet. When I am on it dd1 will be throwing a full blown strop. Dh will mutter under his breath words like "setting up a new company" "very important work/research" "mumsnet hardly comparible" grrrr. It ends up with me only able to get on in the evening. Blooming frustrating.

SANDS - that's the word I've been trying to remember SLINKs - have you contacted SANDS??? I have a close friend (also a mumsnetter) and I know she would highly recommend SANDS. They are supposed to incredibly supportive.

Wills · 21/09/2005 09:12

By the way Lottie - laughed at the joke!

Diddle · 21/09/2005 09:14

Wishing chair - how long are your cycles normally?? CM is a good indication but for yout o be most fertile it needs to be like egg white, normal CM is not as fertile. Have you had any pains?? like sharp pins pricks on your tummy?

well ladies i can beat you all, I weigh 12 stone and i'm 5'6. I was 10 1/2 before i got pg, but have broad shoulders so i looked ok. since the pregnancies i seem to ahve piled ont he pounds and with it being so depressing i seam to be eating more and more biscuits and chocolate, never effected me before but now it goes traight to my hips, chin, waist, bum, everywhere, its doing my head in. I think i need to exercise more.

Humprheys - ok we will wait till next monday before we change to the new thread. hope this one is lucky for you too.

Stats:

5'3 and 3/4 (sorry but that 3/4 is vital!)
Weight 10 stone 2. Am on steriods at the moment and have put on 8 pounds in the last 2 months so am feeling seriously lardy already. Mind you normally the weight goes on my bum and top of my legs so is it just me that I have a particularly round belly already. I have a belly that looks distinctly 4 months gone (I wish!).

Oh someone asked where I live. South Hertfordshire. Goffs Oak near Potters Bar.

Wills · 21/09/2005 09:18

Gotta go for a while back later

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 09:21

Oh, at the end of the day, what you weigh isn't that important. As long as you aren't morbinly obese, and you are healthy, then thats what matters. I've learnt that the hard way... I have Crohn's disease and after my last flare up, I went down to 7 1/2 stone. Even with my small frame that was too skinny. I looked so ill and frail. I would rather be a bit "tubby" but be healthy. Besies my consultant gets a strop on if I loose toomuch weight coz if I flare up again I won't have any to lose (If that makes sense). I went for a check up about 2 weeks after I had DS3, they weighed me and I was about 12 stone. Went again 6 months later and got a huge telling off coz I'd lost 2 stone! I had just had a baby and I was breastfeeding - big deal!!!!

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 09:22

My DH nan lived near Potters Bar - Hatfield. Unfortunately she isn't with us any long, but used to visit her regularly.

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 09:23

What are the steroids for Wills - sorry don't answer that if you don't want to. I'm too nosey for my own good...

wishingchair · 21/09/2005 09:26

I usually do get ov pains and had a couple of jabs this morning. Defo egg white not cloudy. bugger bugger bugger. Should get dh to fedex me so I can try the turkey baster method a la Brookside.

My stats - 5'6" and 10 stone. Well I was 10 last time I looked but daren't go on scales any more. Was 8 and a half stone when got married 5 years ago. I carry most of it on my bum and legs so as long as I'm wearing trousers it's ok and my cellulite can stay hidden.

Wills - if I even mention mumsnet to my dh he starts to look at me with concern as if I'm telling him I'm a part of some weird cult.

Coathanger · 21/09/2005 09:29

Nuff talk of weight now - we are all healthy and happy thats the main thing (although being PG would make us happier!!) Talking of weight makes me depressed and feeling depressed leads me to the fridge....

HellKat · 21/09/2005 09:29

Hear hear Ch. I agree, I'd rather be a few pounds heavier than too skinny.
Wills- Small world ot what! Ds1's grandparents live in Potters Bar and we used to live in Enfield.
Diddle- I was excatly the same. If I get down or bored I eat. If I let myself, I would be absolutely massive. I could eat for England! Anytime I'm feeling crappy I always turn to three things. Choc, crisps and ice cream!
