PS: Raspberry I will keep watching for syptom updates :o

Hello lovely peeps - sorry I have not posted all week - typical work gets in the way of m'ning.

How is everyone? Agree Toria very quiet in here.

Rasberry sorry about BFN - are you testing again soon? It was very early so there is still hope!

Flick am pleased you are ok and that clomid has seemed to not have nasty effects on you. You are young and do have time on your side but that still doesn't stop you thinking why is it me that seems to have these difficulties. You are so positive for everyone else and make sure you take your own advice too as it is very good! Lets home clomid does its thing - are you having scans soon? Also - sounds like MrFlicks SA was ok as well - so thats a big sigh of relief. When MrLanky had his done I was more worried and was thinking I would rather have something wrong with me rather than him as not sure how he would cope being a man!

Womanly happy diwali!! How are you my dear? I hope this injection does what it is supposed to? Have not heard of it but it all sounds very positive. Will be thinking of you when you have your scan on Monday. Good luck with the practice baking this weekend as well - always good fun!

Garden are you going to have the hcg shot tomorrow then? I hope this is the month for you - try not to have those thoughts (easier said than done I know) but don't deny yourself of the odd drink! I am on CD 20 but just had a small glass of vino - am thinking everything in moderation and also god knows how long this road could be and hell am going to have the odd drink now and then. are you having another scan soon?

Toria bloody nora - crimble pressies purchased already?! I am impressed! I still have to get 5 birthday presents before xmas even hits the decks! Good luck with SWI-ing as well - the time is approaching!

HH your symtoms sounds goo chica! Hope you are feeling ok with the ear infection - ouch.

Florin worms?! Hmm

Truff tube strike was arse. Your weekend sounds fun but I know what you mean when you hhave had a manic week sometimes you just want some time to chill and get practising on the old shaggin!

Sorry about ERTD Karstan Sad

slow I am totally with you on FB and pregancy announcements. It sucks! a) I would never announce it on FB - I would tell all the people that matter and care personally b) having been one of the ones where pregnancy has not happened very easily I intend to be sensitive to people. The wierdest thing I saw was someone commenting on a CB digi picture that someone had posted to annouce their pregnancy?!

Waves to everyone else!

CD 20 here and 3 DPO - after the lack of hycosy am not harbouring any hope for this mon or any really until we go to our fertility appt in December.

We are really close to getting a move in date - looks like it might be the 22nd of November so all attention is focussed on house! Also its my birthday next Tuesday (turning 31!) and DH has booked somewhere yummy on saturday but he wont tell me where! I have got myself a gorgeous lace black dress and some killer heels and intend to have lots of champagne! Can not wait!

Thank crunchie it is Friday tomorrow!

Hello ladies!

Just a quick stop by yo say Happy Diwali to Womanly, hope you've had a fab time.

Pleased to report that 12 people showed up to salsa tonight! Yay! I've doubled in numbers! Fingers crossed we can add a few more next week, then I'll really be in business.

Hugs and chocolate to all!

MissFlick · 05/11/2010 03:03

Happy Friday Frolickers- am in a bit of a rush today as I woke up late have just not caught up since!

Just wanted to stop by and do a quick catch up though.

cavey great news about salsa! The word must be spreading about what an awesome teacher you are :)

raspberry I have my eye on you lady...Hmm

Hope you enjoy your weekend with your visitors truff :)

Oh toria your life sounds like a dream! Tidy house, no work and all Christmas presents wrapped! Envy

slow hope you are still looking after yourself- flu takes a while to get out of your system so be kind to yourself xx

garden That's so strange about your consultant. I don't know why she would say that as you're right, anything above 18mm is good to go. I guess she is just being extra cautious as you can never guarantee that ovulation will happen but it is an odd thing to say. I think that you have a dominant follicle in there like last month when you ovulated so why wouldn't you ovulate?! Will she scan you again to check growth or will she just do the injection?Hope you enjoyed that large G&T :) The Clomid is going really well- no side effects as yet and I am on my last day today so fingers crossed that it stays that way.

womanly I have been taking the clomid from day 2-6 and yep, it is 50mg. I have a scan tomorrow morning which is CD7 which I thought was ridiculously early but I wanted to ask yours and gardens and HH opinion on something. Today, CD6 I have EWCM- weird right?! That means I have gone from the last bits of ERTD yesterday (TMI sorry!) straight to EWCM. I just windered if you had heard stories of early ovulation on Clomid or if any of your doctors had mentioned that to you? I guess I will see what's going tomorrow at my scan.

lanky YIPEEEEE for the house completion date and it is so soon now! Your weekend plans sound lovely :) Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating your birthday!

On that note.... I wanted to ask you and the other London Frolickers for some restaurant recommendations. Mr.F and I will be in London for our wedding anniversary over Christmas and as I wasn't able to get a table at The Fat Duck like I wanted, I wanted to see if any of you had some lovely London based restaurant recommendations? I am thinking of a swanky, anniversary type place.

My other favour to ask is does anyone have any ideas of what I can get Mr. F for an anniversary present?! Year 2 is cotton- I can think of a few ideas but wondered if anyone had any genius ideas!

Sorry, I am very demanding of your time today! Grin

HRHCavey · 05/11/2010 07:11

Morning *MissFlick(, hope your day is getting a little less stressful!

I'm not an expert on London type restaurants but have you thought about The Ivy? I've not been there (DH keeps saying we should go but we never do!). I HAVE eaten at Marcus Waring's restaurant at The Berkley Hotel adn that was very good. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Anniversary presents are awkward! We had our 2nd anniversary in September and I have to confess that we agreed not to buy presents as we are trying to save every penny towards buying a new house. My parents bought us a really nice apron, tea towel and oven gloves set - all cotton. Does Mr Flick like to cook?
What about some luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen that you could both enjoy Wink

DH and I are off to a birthday dinner in Dorset on Saturday night so I won't be around much over the weekend. We have another week off next week so are going to try and get our last few bits of decorating done. Our plan is still to put our house on the market in the spring, but DH is starting to talk about the idea of building our own house rather than buying one Confused I like the idea in theory but it is quite intimidating and I could see us spending a fortune! We are lucky that DH's uncle is an award-winning architect and he has offered to design something for us (for free!) on several occasions.

Right, that's enough of my waffle. Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend!

MissFlick · 05/11/2010 08:35

Morning cave, thanks for the ideas! you are wonderful :) Enjoy your weekend. How exciting about the house, I have a friend who built their house- will tell you about it tomorrow as am in a rush now!

JosieSmith1 · 05/11/2010 08:37

Well hello there everyone!

Sorry I haven't been on for so long, was off work, then haven't had time since I got back and then the laptop at home broke big style so haven't had the internet at home. There's so much to catch up on, would you let me know if there's any BFPs I may have missed while away!

Having a bit of a shitty time right now, just quite stressed out but I'll get through it, right in 2ww and not hopeful again this time, but charting my temps proved very successful first time around and it turns out I very obviously oved on day 12, so maybe we've been SWI at the wrong times so I'm a bit more clued up for next cycle.

Hope everyone is doing well

xx

gardenpixie · 05/11/2010 09:02

Morning ladies, happy fridays all round

Womanly thank you for your wise words; you are right that I should be really pleased there is a dominant follicle (and no other ones so the polycycstic issue seems to be getting with each round of clomid) and just because I had a 20mm follicle last time, I shouldn't let my consultant rattle me. I think the hcg injection is meant to help the follicles mature before they pop anyway so hopefully it will all be take care of!

MissFlick I think that's pretty normal with clomid - EWCM is caused by certain hormones spiking and clomid works by increasing all hormones so it can play havoc with one's innards! Glad you have no adverse side effects though.

In terms of London resautrants, what sort of thing do you and Mr Flick like? Have you tried looking at squaremeal to see what you might fancy? I second the suggestion of the Ivy, and if you want stunning views, you could also try to Oxo Tower restaurant or brasserie.

HRH hurrah about your 12 salsa people, that's great news!

Lanky yes I'll be having the hcg shot today but I have managed to persuade Mr Garden to meet me afterwards as the clinic is near some rather nice river side bars so I'm going to pretend I'm going in for a drink rather than an injection! Fabulous news about your completion date, that's sooooo close now!

Hi Josie lovely to see you. Sorry you are having a horrid time though .. here, have this bloody mary to cheer your morning up xx

Right, off to do some housework ergh ...

Karstan · 05/11/2010 09:49

Morning, TFI

Really annoyed with ERTD this time round. Not because it arrived, which I fully expected but because it seems to have turned into spotting a couple of days before it starts properly. Worried now that there isn't long enough between ovulation and ertd, only 10 days this month. :(

Also just got new neighbours, the adjoining semi had been empty since we'd moved in, I'm surprised how much we can hear them. Hope it's not going to make me too self conscious of our ttc efforts.

Hope everyone else is looking forward to the weekend, totally losing track of who is doing what.

gardenpixie · 05/11/2010 10:06

Hi Karstan that's a bit annoying about your new neighbours - hopefully they will quieten down once they've settled in?

Not sure what to say about spotting after 10 days. I think that as long as your ERTD doesnt start properly then it's OK. I had a similar thing this cycle and spoke to my consultant about it yesterday as I was worried it was something to do with clomid but she was pretty relaxed about it and said that if implantation hasn't occurred after 10 days it's quite normal to get spotting as your hormones get ready for ERTD, but that if it is fresh red blood then that's more problematic. Don't know if that helps?

Right, back to the vacuuming

slowshow · 05/11/2010 10:06

Karstan - I was always under the impression that if you have spotting for several days before your period starts (as I always do) the spotting doesn't count as the end of the luteal phase. Fertility Friend certainly doesn't count it Smile

Karstan · 05/11/2010 10:58

Will have to see what the consultant says, it's all marked up in my bleeding diary that i had to do for homework! It's fresh blood but mixed with cm. It bothers me more that it's a change tbh, it never used to start like that, and it means that I'm now bleeding in some form about 12 days a month (bleed at ovulation too).

slowshow · 05/11/2010 11:10

I know how you feel! I get 3-4 days of spotting before my period starts, then only two days of red blood, then another 3-4 days of spotting. So that's maybe ten days overall, and I only have a 26 day cycle at best Confused

It could be a cervical erosion - I have that. It's basically harmless but can be treated with cauterisation (ouch) if the bleeding gets troublesome.

JosieSmith1 · 05/11/2010 11:22

Ooo thanks Garden, much appreciated. I actually had a drink on wed night (second day back at work) and as I?m sure you know I don?t drink a lot (last drink was at wedding in june [schock]) so I must have been stressed Grin

Karstan I live in a little terrace and can hear my neighbours quite a bit (especially when their granddaughter cries all night Angry) but when we get down to the deed I conveniently forget to worry about it, hope it?s the same for you

raspberrytipple · 05/11/2010 13:10

Hello Josie

You have missed a BFP from HighHeels!! Good to see you back xx

Truffkin · 05/11/2010 14:52

Hi Frolickers, happy Friday at last!

Cavey very good news about your class doubling in size, hopefully a sign of things to come!

Flick I would absolutely 100% recommend Le Gavroche for your anniversary dinner. We went for our anniversary last year (which was cotton! we bought eachother the new England shirts) and it was absolutely amazing. The food was just out of this world, if you can splash out a bit I'd go for the tasting menu with paired wines, just unbelievable. Otherwise I like Maze (Gordon Ramsay's steak house in Mayfair, a bit more relaxed but fabulous steaks), Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Hibiscus just off Regent Street. I could pretty much guarantee that you would have a wonderful meal and fabulous service at all of these places. I have eaten at The Ivy and the food was good but nowhere near some of the other places. (I also didn't see any celebrities either Sad which annoyed me)

Josie welcome back, yes you missed the excitement of HighHeels recent BFP, we are hoping this starts a mass of November positives from the Frolickers. I'm expecting ovulation next Thursday (charting has been working really well for me) so might be indulging in some quality menkul in about 2 weeks' time!

Regarding noisy neighbours, we have an odd couple who live in the flat above us. When we first moved in 2 lads flatshared and one of them used to play his guitar and sing loudly at odd hours of the night. He then moved out and the other one moved his girlfriend in and they had a period of very loud arguments, which we could hear. Then followed a few months of constant (literally every day) very noisy sex directly above our bedroom (we in fact moved to the spare room for a while as it was so Blush making for us) and then all we heard for a while was him snoring very loudly! We had a theory that they were no longer a couple but were still living together then last night they were arguing again! We've got a house full of visitors this weekend so may be slightly noisy ourselves. Luckily the lady who lives downstairs is great and as we are normally good neighbours, she doesn't mind the odd late party or SingStar extravaganza!

LankyLegs · 05/11/2010 15:29

Truf I LOVE all the places you mentioned - am hoping that La Gavroche is where we are heading tomorrow but MrLanky wont tell me. Flick - Truff's suggestions all rock - as do the others so happy booking!

Garedn hope the shot went well?!

Waves to everyone else - we are just waiting for a call to say 'you have exchanged' am hoping it happens today Grin

Have great weekends all and check in later on xxxx

LankyLegs · 05/11/2010 15:30

Oops - sorry for rubbish typing!

gardenpixie · 05/11/2010 15:42

Hi all

Thanks for asking Lanky the HCG shot was fine - but now I have a very sore left buttock Blush so am going to lie on the sofa and eat chocolate!

Hopefully means I should be ovulating today or tomorrow so I'll have to get over the soreness and tempt Mr Garden to some SWI...

Hope everyone else is well and looking forward to the impending weekend xx

slowshow · 05/11/2010 16:41

I am very jealous of your extensive experience of posh London restaurants, Truff. And I live in (Greater) London so I have no excuse, except financial ones Wink

I hear your pain re. sex noises. The Mr and I used to live in a house converted into flats ? the sound proofing was completely non-existent. There was an Israeli couple who lived in the flat below, and one time at about 4am I was roused from a very deep sleep with their sex noises. Weirdest of all, we?d always hear one of them dive in the shower IMMEDIATELY afterwards. The mind boggles. Then an older man moved in. He lived on his own and peace was restored? until he got himself a lady friend. Uggggh. Glad we now live in a very solid end terrace ex-council house!

I am knicker checking for pre-period spotting and am very exited to find it hasn't started. Someone please bash me over the head, because it is TOO EARLY to be getting pre-period spotting anyway. I don't really expect it until Sunday, and I may well have ovulated later this month due to being ill.

TomboyWife · 05/11/2010 19:50

Evening ladies!

We're off to the fireworks in a few minutes, so I'll have to type fast.

Flick I went to this place for a friend's birthday a while ago and it was utterly fab:

www.michaelmoorerestaurant.com/firstpage.html

Our neighbours from hell have been better recently, but last winter we could hear the father swearing very loudly at the kids pretty much every night. Lots of the f-word and c-word. Not pleasant at all. We considered moving bedrooms to the other side of the house so as not to be (literally) rudely awakened.

zippys · 06/11/2010 10:24

Hello all you lovely ladies. Just wanted to pop my head in to say hi. I am a little upset there have not been more bfp in my absence but huge congrats to highheels. We are doing ok, I have good and bad days and went to hospital re sickness and they think it is partly caused by stress from ttc!! Deep joy what we have to deal with hey!!

Oh and ivf funding in my area was totally pulled a couple if weeks ago so it will be fully funded personally but think we will get the wedding out of the way first (by then the two year ttc mark will have been reached!!)
