Highheels and Toria you have both mentioned sofas which makes me think we should have a great big Frollicker chocolate eating session on one enormous sofa where we can all curl up on soft cushions and drink cocktails!

Toria sorry about ERTD - I hope you are OK. Here, I made this extra big mug of hot chocolate for you...

Womanly that's a really good point about the internal alarm system. It's not surprising really is it that bits of our innards simply don't like the poking and prodding. Bummer about your SIL. Hmmmm. A high maintenance in law is the last thing yo uwant when you have so much else going on... I reckon you should be kind to yourself and do whatever you feel like doing (or not doing)

Lanky how are you doing? I hope you are OK too - big mug of hot chocolate for you as well. Shall I make it Irish for you?

I've been for a run with my hound ( womanly I am VERY impressed with your running! We didnt go that far - just four miles for us today) and cleaned the cooker so I think that means I deserve a gin and tonic in the bath

Also, just in case they are lurking, I wanted to wave to zippys and kkas - hope you are both OK ladies xxx

gardenpixie · 27/10/2010 16:15

Sorry Slow x-posts

Oh what a horrid time you are having for your birthday! But it's not your fault you are ill .... sure Mr Slow knows that? You need to take it easy and take care of yourself so you don't have a bonkers immune system in the 2WW.

Hope you can rest up and enjoy a bit of your birthday... and here's a Lemsip with candles on it xxx

raspberrytipple · 27/10/2010 16:34

oh frolickers, i'm now so bored of being at home sick and sneezing i've exhausted all of the pole dancing videos on you tube so googled 'having a baby' and am now watching birthing videos. what is happening to me Shock

LankyLegs · 27/10/2010 17:15

Hello lovely ones,

Just logged on after manic day at work and just wanted to say thanks to all for your supportive messages- will get home and do a proper post after accupunture. I felt like shite today - really quite awful :(

On a happier note happy birthday slow!!! Hope you are having a great day.

Chat to you all later xxxx

cherrycobbler · 27/10/2010 18:09

Just popping in to proffer a very large assortment of delicious pastries and a jug of pre-season mulled wine to all you lovely ladies, so sorry to hear that you seem to be having a bit of a horrible time. lovelylanky I hope the acupuncture helps zen you out, what a horrible few days you've had.
flick I am excited about your possible line.....but saying no more.
xxxxxx

Truffkin · 27/10/2010 20:12

Gosh what a turn the thread took this afternoon, sorry that some frolickers are not having the best time Sad

Slow how rubbish to feel ill on your birthday, hope the table get's filled tonight so you don't get charged. Have you been to Fifteen before? We went for our first wedding anniversary and really enjoyed it.

Flick and Garden I'm sorry if I mislead you with my mattress talk. We certainly haven't gone for the £2k one, I couldn't bring myself to do it! I was just mentioning it as we were amazed that they even exists as that shows that some people do buy them. We've not gone for memory foam either as DH thinks they get too hot (we slept on one in a posh hotel) and he likes cool sleeping conditions. We have gone for an orthopedic pocket sprung one though as I suffer a bit with my back and need something supportive. I found it almost half price online, so am excited to be getting it for £300 delivered on Friday Grin

Toria sorry ERTD has made you feel lous, hope the lounging did the trick!

I'm off to watch Masterchef and eat my dinner. I don't often MN at home but was logged on to watch an online seminar for work (EST so 7pm here Hmm and not prepared to stay at work and watch it as I wouldn't get home until 9.30pm!). I am hoping that Wednesday brings better times for my fellow frollies!

P.S Garden LOVE the idea of a huge sofa and communal hot chocolate sharing frolicker meet up Smile

TomboyWife · 27/10/2010 22:41

Evening ladies!

Just a quick one as we're off to Germany on holiday tomorrow and we still haven't packed. Blush

Big hugs to lanky and slow and everyone else whom life has decided to treat badly today. Surely the frolickers' luck will turn soon?

Still no idea what's up with me. ERTD hasn't arrived and doesn't feel like it's going to arrive. My boobs seem to be on a 48-hour cycle of being dense and heavy and slightly sore one day, then back to normal the next. Today's a back-to-normal day. I don't think I'll bother with POAS again until we're back from holiday. If it's still BFN then, I guess I'll have to phone the GP and get an appointment to find out where my cycle's disappeared to.

MrsWajs · 28/10/2010 01:45

Flick I had the very same experience when I first poas'd, if you remember!? I did another one 2 days later which was negative and then finally got my positive a week after that! Keeping everything crossed for you! :) x

MissFlick · 28/10/2010 07:29

Morning Girls,

I?ll put you all out of your suspense by saying that I didn?t POAS today and that I really, honestly and truly think that there was just a hint of a line cos the test had been sitting around for ten hours! I?m sure that any internet cheapie that was left for ten hours would develop a faint line- perhaps we should try?!I feel quite crampy today so maybe that means ERTD is on it?s way.

Thanks for coming back MrsW- I do remember your BFP saga but I didn?t remember the part about your looking at an old test and there being a faint line... Could you just refresh my memory on that part, you know, just out of hypothetical interest and all Wink

lanky the advice from womanly makes absolute perfect sense. I am now certain that is what happened to you the other day- is a lap and dye an option? Hopeyou are feeling a little brighter today sweetie and that your accupuncture went well xx

womanly big hugs for you as you are just so lovely and wise xxx How is the Clomid going? Sorry to hear about your sil, I don?t think that you are being selfish at all btw. Your Diwali and DH?s birthday party sounds fabulous. You will be using your pregnancy test and getting you BFP this cycle lady- what day do you go for your scan?

Sorry about your ERTD toria Hope your feeling a bit better today xxx

garden a sofa is a fabulous idea! Especially as I spend most of my time on mine at the minute! You are so good with your running- your dog is one lucky hound!

Oh no slow :( You poor thing. I hope that you are feeling better today. Do you know if they managed to sell your table in the end?

and you raspberry hope the lurgy is away now. How were the birthing videos?! not put you off yet?!

Thanks for the snacks cherry! (and your excitement too- although really don?t get your hopes up as I don?t want to disappoint you all)

truff I still think your mattress sounds awesome, even though it?s not the 2k one! Anything to do with beds and sleeping float my boat.

Have a lovely holiday tomboy. I think going off on holiday and relaxing will certainly take your mind of your body and it?s tricks and will give the HCG a nice long time to build so you will get a BFP when you are back.

No news from me other than what I reported at the start of my message- Have been very lazy all week, both at home and work so need to pull my finger out and get on with stuff but I always think that there is no point starting anything new until a Monday so have made a resolution to be good from then- I am blaming Tuesday?s migraine for throwing my week out of synch!

Is it churlish to feel proud at being top of the list? I don't think I've ever been top of the list before. Grin

We're out the door in a couple of hours, back on Tuesday. Have a great rest of the week everyone!

crazybutterflylady · 28/10/2010 10:27

Flick test again! I'm with MrsW - the same happened to me too :)
Fingers crossed for you lovely x

but crazy did you leave the test for ten hours before seeing the faint line?! I bet you didn't Grin x x

HRHCavey · 28/10/2010 11:12

Morning all, a quick sneak on to see if MissFlick had done the deed - I see not!

I am lurking a bit, but trying not to post too often - though I am rooted in the Strictly Thread on Saturday nights!

Salsa class is tonight, thanks for asking. I've had a few emails and phone calls about the class this week so I'm hopeful of a better turnout!

Happy Thursday all, enjoy your break Tomboy

womanlytales · 28/10/2010 11:46

Flick I like that you're waiting and really really hope the cramps are after effects of implantation. And please leave well alone the line incident for now... it could be a bfp and nothing will confirm or deny it till you poas again :) All things crossed :) Though I really like your sensible attitude.
I am doing OK with Clomid - I take it at night and that helps I think - though I do feel depressive - not interested in work especially - and not liking the guilt of finding ways NOT to do any work.
HRH Glad you are lurking my dear :) I certainly get a lot of energy from hearing about your busy schedule..thank you :) Have you considered asking your GP for a progesterone shot to restart your cycles? Am sorry if you already answered this q..
My boss is off on a 2 wk holiday - am so J - LOL and listening to you guys on holidays. :) Have a fabulous one Tomboy :)
Lanky How are you doing today love? Sending you a big hug and passing Cherry's tray of goodies.

crazybutterflylady · 28/10/2010 11:48

Flick about half an hour... you didn't check after half an hour because you weren't home [hwink]
but no pressure!
x

luckyseven · 28/10/2010 12:02

Flick hmmmmmmm interesting developments don't know how you are resisting testing but ... i had what i was convinced were period cramps two days before my bfp, two days later i only did a boots cheapie to see if i could take medication for a stinking cold and a v v v v v unconvincing faint line came up after a while. Later the same day did a Superdrug own brand early response and there was a line! Hope it works out for you and will be lurking with the pom poms just in case it is good news and i have some baileys cheesecake in the fridge if it goes the other way.

HRHCavey · 28/10/2010 13:37

Nice to see some of the Grads lurking [waves]

Womanly my GP said they won't do anything until my cycle has been missing for at least 6 months. That takes me to late December so I will probably look to get an appointment in the New Year.
I'm going to give my body a chance to react to the reflexology I had last week. If nothing by mid November I will book another appt. The reflexologist was great and really helped me to get my head in a good place so it will be nice to have another session and reinforce my chilled out frame of mind.

slowshow · 28/10/2010 16:32

I?m a bit late in properly replying, but I?m sorry your hycosy was so traumatic LL. 90 mins in stirrups is no one?s idea of fun Sad Womanly has a really good point though, why wouldn?t the body shut down when someone?s trying to introduce a catheter where catheters don?t usually go? Grin Try not to worry too much about it, it?s just SUCH a shame that the NHS waits are so long.

Good luck with the SIL womanly, looks like you might need it! Thanks for your birthday wishes Grin I think you?re right ? 30 is fine but 35 might be? troubling! I can?t believe your friend was so insensitive to you. Honestly, I never have and never will ask any of my friends ?So when are you going to have a baby?? No one knows we are TTC and the way I see it, it?s no one?s business apart from mine and my husbands. And besides, it?s totally private, right? I don?t want anyone to be questioning my sex life!

If it?s birthing videos you want raspberry, try Mybirth.tv. There are some really lovely homebirth videos on there.

LOL @ ?lemsip with candles? Pixie. That?s all I was good for yesterday.

Truffkin, yeah, we went to Fifteen the day we got engaged. It was amazing. Looking to reschedule but it?s booked up so far in advance it might be after Christmas. I don?t know whether they managed to sell our table or not ? I really should have phoned them today but I didn?t want to in case it was a no :(

Well, after yesterday?s Worst Birthday Ever (TM) I?m feeling less feverish today but I have the most awful cough. I sound like a barking seal and my throat is raw from all the coughing. Despite saying the other day that I?m really fine with not getting pregnant this month, I?m actually quite annoyed about another missed opportunity. I swear, after Christmas, we?re going to have to ramp up the SWI?

Toriajayne · 28/10/2010 17:56

I am feeling much more sociable today and am very sorry for my somewhat terse message yesterday, I spent all of yesterday afternoon and evening on the couch with a duvet before sloping off to bed about ten pm. Feeling better today, even with cramps and a headache so was back at work to be moaned at all day. But onwards! Thanks for all the hot chocolate and wine girls, you're truly wonderful, also second (third?) Garden's idea that we need a massive sofa meet up :)

I'm on Cycle 4 CD2 for whoever does tomorrow's list (tomorrow will obviously be Cycle 4 CD 3)

Lanky So sorry about your rubbish appt, agree with the idea that it's probably to do with your body tensing up, I know when I had my coil put in they had to give it a damn good push! Fingers crossed you get another appt soon lovely.

Flick! Very (quietly) excited for you, but will say no more as can understand you wanting to be cautious.

Cavey This is a bit TMI so don't read it if you don't want to, but one thing I've noticed most since starting Reflex is that my periods are much heavier than they have been for a while. I'd noticed they were really light, barely there in fact, and almost always brown rather than red, since I last came off the pill so had been concerned about that when we started TTC as obviously without a womb lining there wont be a baby. So as well as all the other great things that are happening (thread veins in my legs are disappearing, my digestive system is running better than it has for years, I SLEEP) she's obviously got something going on in there. Fingers crossed you have some similar success.

Slow Sorry about your birthday chick, really hope they managed to sell your table and that Mr Slow has been good to you.

Right I'm off to spend most of tonight doing what I did last night only with OH home this time. Have a good night!

womanlytales · 28/10/2010 18:42

totally hear you slow on the privacy point -- a circle around my DH and me - that's what I call it.

HRHCavey · 28/10/2010 21:54

Toria thanks for sharing that. Interestingly my "periods" had been getting lighter and lighter whilst on the Pill, as you say more brown blood than red and only bleeding for 2 days at most. Again, sorry if TMI!
After the session I definitely felt things in other parts of my body - my hips ached like nobodys businesses, though apparently this is because the hormones pool in that area, and my shoulders - which she said had massive amounts of tension - were pretty sore. She said my reproductive areas felt stagnant, which sounds about right.
I want to give things a chance to react before booking another appt, so I figure a month is plenty.

I'd be interested to hear other peoples experiences of reflexology, if you want to share.

slowshow · 29/10/2010 00:49

If we're getting all TMI here then I'll gladly join in! I'm a little concerned about my periods tbh. Before I went on the pill (I was only on it for two years, and came off it over five years ago) my cycle was 28 days and completely normal. Post pill, it's much shorter (26 days max) and I have brown spotting from day 22-23 onwards. I think the spotting might be down to a cervical erosion (it always gets mentioned during smear tests) and ironically it's quite a common side effect of the pill. Basically, during any 26 day cycle I'm either spotting or bleeding for around 10 days of it. Costs me a fortune in pantyliners. I really wish I'd never gone on the pill Sad

I'm really intrigued by your experiences of reflexology. As a general rule, I'm really very skeptical of alternative therapies, but I think I might consider it one day.

MissFlick · 29/10/2010 06:44

Just running in for a rant- pregnant friend (the one who told me two weeks ago when I had my emotional breakdown!) will not stop talking about morning sickness and moaning about how awful she feels. I understand that she feels terrible but I am finding it hard to take as I would give anything to be in her position. GRRRR. Anyway, rant over- just off to a meeting but had to get that off my chest before I took it out on my poor teachers! Grin

Will catch up after meeting xxx

OP posts:
HRHCavey · 29/10/2010 07:20

MissFlick that's not very fair of your friend. If you are very close perhaps you should have a quiet word and say "I know you are very excited about your pregnancy, as am I, and you want to talk about everything, but please be aware that every now and then I might feel a little upset that I'm not sharing this journey with you. It's not a reflection of my feelings for you, but I don't want you to think that I'm angry/upset with you."

That might be a bit of a waffle, but you get the gist!

slowshow I'm very sceptical about alternative therapies too. I'm not looking at reflexology as a "cure-all", more as something that might help. If it doesn't work and kick start my cycles it is, at the very least, a relaxing way to spend an hour!
I'm not sure I necessarily believe in "energies" within the body, but I certainly felt the effects elsewhere in my body so I do believe that everything is connected.
