Truff what an arse! I'm sorry, I know he's family and all that but he needs a very hard kick in the gentleman's area!

Did your DH say why he hadn't mentioned it to you before?

Feel free to rant away, we're all behind you - pitchforks in hand!

Truffkin · 18/10/2010 23:34

Sorry, I meant BIL knew on Saturday. DH found out this afternoon when BIL phoned him. He didn't say anything at the weekend as 'they weren't ready to tell people' although clearly 2 more days has made all the difference! I don't mind them not telling anyone (she's only about 5 weeks, they've told us early with the last 2, around 4 weeks when they found out) I just wish he'd not been like he was with me on Saturday when he knew they were expecting another and I told him we were struggling.

Rant over! Am going to move on and think happy thoughts [hgrin]

Ariesgirl · 18/10/2010 23:51

Hello Truffers Hic.

What a stupid twat.

MissFlick · 19/10/2010 04:42

Morning Frollies,

Loving the Halloween smilies [hgrin]

Just off out the door but wanted say truff That is outrageous of your BIL :( I know he was drunk but it sounds like he was stirring up trouble. What did Mr.Truff say about it all? At least you don't have to see them everyday and have a bit of space from them. When will you be visiting again? Last week when I was upset, I think it was womanly who said to me to be kind to myself and look after myself for at least a week so I could get over the shock. Hope you're feeling a bit better today xxx

Good luck for foot fiddling today cavey my dear. Hope you're enjoying your week off. I forgot that you had all of that holiday to use- lucky!

lanky Loving that diary- I want one!Fingers crossed on the completeion date and I know what you mean about looking forward to the Hscosy.

Big waves to everyone else, yep I am on holiday lanky and enjoying a nice relax! Am off to stay with a friend tonight so won't be back until tomorrow.

Lots of love xxx

Morning ladies, hope we are all well.

Truff sorry! I get you now! That'll teach me not to read thoroughly!

Good night Aries?! [hands Aries the Alka Seltzer]

MissFlick hope you have fun with your friend.

Lots of lucky thoughts for those in the throes of SWI-ing and those coming up to POAS.

My appointment is at 11am so I'll check back with you all this afternoon.

gardenpixie · 19/10/2010 08:55

Truff what an insensitive idiot. Horrid for you. I think you handled it really well - and far better than i would have done! What's with all the sharing a pregnancy thing? Since when was getting and being pg a team sport? [hhmm] I hope you are feeling OK lovely. Enormous GRRRRRRR to him.

HRHCavey hoe your appt goes well!

MissFlick have a lovely time with your friend! You deserve to take it easy and have fun for a bit xxx

Aries can I get you a bacon sarnie? Hope you had a fun night!

Lanky I LOVE the organiser - gorgeous! So nice to celebrate anniversaries properly and paper is a tricky one!

Waves to Womanly how are you do doing?

Toria I reckon your symptoms are very promising. I had a real thirst last night - but it was for Merlot - do you think that counts...? Well done on your lines and thanks for the baby dust for the Three Follicles!

Not much news from me. Don't really feel any different although the last two nights I've gone to bed v early which is unusual for me but could just be because I've been working quite a lot. And this morning, as I was waking up, I got all excited because I had a really heavy feeling on my tummy - then realised it was the cat [hblush]

Hope everyone's tuesdays are going well xxxx

LankyLegs · 19/10/2010 08:57

Truff Shock what a nunt - sorry but he is. And the nerve to say to you if you would wait if there was a baby clash?! Mo fo! Sorry - that sort of stuff winds me up. The best thing would be if you got pregant this month I think that way you can ensure there will be a clash - after all it is your first!

Cavey enjoy foot fondling later Grin

Flick enjoy your night away too - am Envy at all you lovely ladies with half term or holidays. Am just waiting for a completion date and I am booking some time off asap too!

Tomboy good luck - hope hat ERTD stays away

Waves to everyone else! And congrats on your friends baby toria

Truff Agree with the girls, BIL is really insensitive and a nut -- Reminds me of my SIL and brother who had their first child and then waited till they were ready to start for their second and were issuing orders to us (at that time we weren't even ttc) to hold off to avoid a clash. Worser still when the pair heard I was scheduled for a lap procedure after most tests were inconclusive about every part of my fertility apparatus being broken, they ORDERED us to adopt. Even up until now my bro sends me an email saying how he is so luckly and blessed to have two fabulous kids and there are MANY who would wish for what he has and how he's now getting all ready to adopt to demonstrate that this is the way forward for all those who still haven't got the message (ie, me). LOL

Sorry but my point was not to turn this into a me me me post but just that when I read your post, I went hmmmm - - You know what - that BIL does not deserve you getting all worked up about this like my prof used to say in school, he's is a really really little tiny winy piece of s**t... so honey, don't waste your precious emotions on such people. You and Mr.Truff can go right about skipping down your path without a care in the world and certainly not about these insignificants.

I do love my brother but I know his limitations so I often brace myself with as much love and confidence I can muster when I have to have a conversation with the chap. And if I don't have to ever speak to my SIL it's like a blessing - - she's so not evolved.

garden my dear, I woke up this morning and my slow brain completed processing your high reading and I thought - could it be that you're pregnant already? And then I thought - must ask her to stay off mumsnet for a week to keep from adding to the temptation to poas...and then quickly reverted that to ... nooooo because then how will we know what's up... how are YOU doing? :) Am getting all excited already - lol.

Flick Enjoy your time with your friend :) I am feeling very positive for you too this month..

Lots of baby dust to everyone and best of luck poasing.

gardenpixie · 19/10/2010 11:19

Hello Womanly lovely to hear from you and you are very wise re Truff's BIL. Some people just DO NOT GET IT and all we can do is surround ourselves with bubbles of calmness and not let them in!

I am of course tempted to POAS and have been for the last few years days; I was thinking I am just going to have to be strong as my consultant told me not to POAS until 14 days after the hcg shot as it might pick up on that rather than hormones from being pg.

But I've just found out (from google so admittedly not the best source in the world) that the HCG clears out of most women's systems 6 days after the shot and that 14 days is playing it super super safe.

So I am obviously now driving myself nuts with wondering about buying some sticks to pee on. But I am only 10DPO - 11DPO at most - so that's a rubbish idea isn't it...? isn't it ....?

Help Frollickers, I need you to keep me strong!!!

xxxx

MissFlick · 19/10/2010 13:06

garden maybe you are having little clomid twins?! he he!! Do try and be strong though honey-you know that if it is a negative you wont believe it...3 more sleeps til testing time x x

womanly thanks for the positivity my darling. How are you getting on this month?

cavey hope your appointment went well! can't wait to hear how it was.

lanky come to HK for a holiday!!! We can down pornstars to our heart's content.

sorry for short post, on phone and just checking in on you all. My friend has a hot tub on her roof so we're drinking gin and fresh homemade lemonade, about to have a bbq and then go for a dip- guarenteed ways to enure I'm pregnant right?! xxx

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 19/10/2010 13:14

Oh Flick that sounds awesome! And yes, gin is guaranteed to make you pg. In fact, my consultant says if the clomid doesn't work, we'll try gin next ...! Have fun!

And you are right, I must must must must be strong. Although, I accidently found myself in Sainsburys and have bought 4 CB (non-digi) tests. So even if my resolve crumbles and I can't last until Friday, I'll still have at least one to use first thing on proper testing day!

xx

LankyLegs · 19/10/2010 13:16

Garden be strong sweets be strong!!! We are here to support you!! OMG so very excited.

Flick I would love to come to Honkers - and check you out hot tubbing it and gin and lemonade in hand... hmm is this how one resides in HK?!

wisewomanly everyone should listen to you - you are super wise in my eyes. And I am very much feeling lots of positive baby vibes for you too - you are so sweet always supporting everyone else.

Right - onto meeting no 20007890 of the day only 22304 to go Grin

crazybutterflylady · 19/10/2010 13:37

garden I am keeping everything crossed for you my lovely. And all of you... we haven't had a BFP for ages, we are surely due another bulk one!

naughty miss flick! haven't you got homework to be marking?! [hgrin]

lots of love to you all, and very sticky baby dust xx

womanlytales · 19/10/2010 13:38

Flick Am getting on ok, waiting for ERTD and also hopelessly wishing that I'll fall pregnant too... LOL... Your evening sounds fabulous.
Garden Echo lanky - Be strong, be strong. Resist till the weekend, at least :) We're here for you honey. Also recall haloflo's wisdom - testing late means you'll only be that much more pregnant :)
Lanky Thank you - I am sure all of your positive baby vibes will work for me :) Am touched :) We'll both get there, I am sure. How are you doing?
HRH Hope your tests went well. Waiting for your update :)

HRHCavey · 19/10/2010 13:55

Afternoon ladies, a very quick post from me as my reflexology lady has banned me from internet forums for 24 hours [egrin] Shhhh! Don't tell!

As predicted I cried, a lot! She was lovely and said that she sees so many woman in a similar position but that because we (women) don't talk enough about the trials of trying to conceive it becomes a competition. She also said, in her experience, most women who say they conceived very quickly or without trying are actually lying! She said she has a 9 month old herself so knows exactly what it is like to stress about ttc.

Back to the session, she said my reproductive organs felt stagnant so she had work hard on them and on the hormonal areas. She advised me to go home, rest and drink lots of water to flush out the hormones that will be flying around my system. She also said my hips might ache a bit as that is where things tend to deposit when you are detoxing. Funnily enough in the last half an hour they have REALLY started to ache!

She also said she picked up on masses of tension in my neck and shoulders, which is something I've always had a problem with, so she worked some of the tension out for me.

The thing that was really nice about her was that she didn't pressure me to book another session, she just said see how you feel over the next few weeks and email me if you have any questions. She also gave me the number for a local acupuncture specialist if I want to givce that a try.

Right, I'm going to be good and do as instructed and chill out!

Have a good afternoon all!

womanlytales · 19/10/2010 13:58

Glad to hear it went well HRH

JosieSmith1 · 19/10/2010 15:09

Afternoon everyone

I?m a bit behind the times so ignore me if I make no sense.

Thanks Garden I am fine now, disappointed obviously but that?s life. It will happen one day, though I?m past the point where I could have had it before best mate?s wedding, and if we try again this month and are successful I?ll be due 2 weeks after the wedding (going on date of last ERTD), would it be selfish still to try? I really don?t want to miss her wedding and I don?t want it to be ruined for her by me not being there (cos I?m so fabulous obviously [hgrin]) but if I?m not there cos I?m having a baby would that be an acceptable thing to do as a best mate?

MissFlick DH loved my hair. He took one look and said I looked gorgeous, and he doesn?t lie. If he hated it he would have told me straight away (and very bluntly!) I had a panic attack when I did it myself though as it all flicked out and looked awful and I couldn?t get it to behave (I actually cried [hblush]) but after a stern talking to from DH and attack of the straighteners, it worked. Though I?m investing in GHDs (when DH isn?t looking). By the way, I?m sooooo jealous of your friend?s hot tub on the roof!

Kaloki I hope everything is ok

Well I am still charting and quite excited to be starting my first full chart on FF so we?ll see if it shows I am definitely oving (and I found my cervix [hblush])

I?m really lost as to who is due to test so I?m sorry if I?ve missed any news, will have a proper look at the list this afternoon.

gardenpixie · 19/10/2010 15:30

Thanks all for wise words and strength vibes!

And so lovely to see you crazybutterfly I hope everything is going really well for you and mini butterfly.

HRH great that you had a good session. Fingers crossed it will be sorting out your hormones very quickly.

I managed not to POAS although I did text Mr G to say I feel sick and did he think it was a symptom - he said he thought it was a symptom of me having a whole slab of chocolate for breakfast (hblush)

xxx

MaimAndKilloki · 19/10/2010 19:47

Hey everyone, sorry for worrying all of you. I'm ok, turns out getting married has brought up some past issues for DH. Really complex stuff. But we've talked now and are (almost) back to normal.

But TTC has been put on a back burner as there is too much else to deal with right now.

We are definitely losing our flat. So have that to contend with.

I didn't manage to get the blood tests for PCOS done, they couldn't get any blood. Then I went green and threw up. (13 piercings, 4 tattoos, countless blood tests and now I almost pass out?!) So have to wait till CD21 of my next cycle.

In good news though my physio referral came through, so have that on Friday.

TomboyWife · 19/10/2010 20:43

Evening ladies!

Kaloki so glad to hear you and DH are working on the issues and that all seems to be sorting itself out. Sorry to hear you're becoming homeless, though. That must be truly, truly awful. Sad

garden Don't do it! Don't POAS! When you get your BFP you want to be 100% sure it's real, ja?

Still no news either way from me. No ERTD, but I haven't tested yet and will probably leave it another day or two. I'm officially on my longest cycle since TTC now, but I'm getting (warning, TMI alert) gobs of lady goo and that usually means ERTD will be with me very soon.

Toriajayne · 19/10/2010 21:35

Evening ladies.

Kaloki Glad you are working together, sucky news about losing your flat though :(

Cavey Glad your session went well, enjoy your forum free night!

Garden resist! It's only a few more days (like I have anu right to talk...) And a thirst for Merlot is definitely a sign of something I think [hgrin]

Josie That's why I decided to chart as well, am planning to stop after this month as it's shown that superficially everything is working so then it's just a case of trusting myself and shagging away!

Flick Enjoy your night away, agree that hot tub and gin means you will def get pregnant [hgrin]

Lanky Thank you my love, she's absolutely beautiful, Lily Rose, even made N's fiance melt a little bit! Hope your meetings aren't too terrible.

Tomboy Fingers crossed lovely.

My reflex session was amazing today, I'm starting to get used to what she's doing so can pick up what's going on before she tells me, today my spine was snap, crackle and popping away, which is about right as my back's been nipping me for a few days but everything else seemed healthy so very chilled.

Have also been working on my Hallowe'en costume, we're off to a scout camp that weekend and have to dress up for the Saturday night so I'm wearing a long medieval dress I had made for my graduation ball and am in the process of making a mask to wear with it. Think the look will benefit from the walking boots I'll be wearing with it hehehe.

gardenpixie · 20/10/2010 08:05

Morning all,

Toria your Saturday night plans sound fantastic! I want to do something Halloweeny so will have to see if I can tempt Mr G to have a party. I'm thinking the dog and the cat would LOVE to wear Halloween costumes ... well, the cat would hate me forever but the dog would be well up for it as he's happy to do anything that gets him more attention! How many scouts will be there?

Tomboy well done on being good and not testing! I will try to do my best not to let the side down and be strong too

Kaloki Sad about your flat - how stressful for you. Good news that you and Mr K are able to work through things together though. I hope things get sorted for you really soon

Waves to everyone else! I will post again when I'm at work but just wanted to pop in to say hello.

Not much news from me except that I have some spotting going on which means FERTD could well jump in before I've had a chance to test. Oh well, at least it will spare me the disappointment of a BFN and I can get cracking on my next lot of clomid.

Hope everyone's morning is going well xxx

womanlytales · 20/10/2010 10:27

Steady garden - It ain't over. (Dramatically pull out my sword to ward off FERTD before its time.) Dressing up your cat and dog does sound like fun.
Tomboy All things crossed and well done on resisting.
Toria Love the idea of dressing up for the halloween party. Sounds like a LOT of fun.
