Hello all,

Hope everyone is well? I have just been to a christening and was surrounded by toddlers causing chaos everywhere - it was hilarious! Mr G loved it! Nice to be reminded why I am driving myself nuts over TTC ...

Raspberry your poor friend! Yes there is something horrid about the tourniquet; once it's on, I know I only have a certain amount of time until I start feeling horrid! Hope your work isn't too crazy xx

MissFlick thanks for doing the list! Hope your hangover has retreated. It sounds like great news that your ovary pain has disappeared - all very promising, especially with the EWCM as well. Just think, even as you're reading this, a small Flickette could be getting ready to bed in for the next 9 months. Fingers crossed!

Lanky how did your shopping and drinking go? What did you buy? Hope you had fun

Toria welcome back from hols and most excellent on the SWI while away. Very impressive. You definitely deserve a little Toria after all that effort?

Highheels Sad about how frustrating things are for you. SUCH a pain not knowing what is going on. I wish there was an easy way to tell what was happening. Maybe a way that your ovaries could text / email / MN you with an update ... Seriously though it's tough and I'm sorry you're having a horrid time. Hopefully you'll get some signal soon [fingers crossed emoticon]

Slowshow how are you doing? Hope you're well. Are you tempted by any POAS action? I always say I'm going to be strong and ride it out and then crumble on sight of a pharmacists. Bad Garden! No point this month though as any BFP before two weeks after my hcg shot could well be a false positive (although it would be fun to do it just so I can see a full on BFP)!

Goldmaple are you almost POAS-ing as well? Good luck if so!

Big hellos to everyone else. I am going to start a Mexican Wave of cocktail / wine / G&T drinking to bring us all frollicking good news next week - so here you go:

CHEERS!

Florin · 17/10/2010 21:11

Hi everybody hope you have all had a good weekend. I've been away for a long weekend in Yorkshire for a 1940's weekend. There were 15000 people there and a lots of them were dressed up. Not the kind of thing I would normally do however it was brilliant fun. Lovely to be dressed up in the very feminine clothes. Felt like a filmstar as had lots of people come up to me to ask to take my picture.
missflick thank you so much for the cd it was lovely to get it when we arrived home tonight. Will listen to it later-can't wait.
Didn't tell my parents in the end about ttc problems as we found out my auntie is extremely ill so thought it was the last thing they needed.
Will catch up with everyone news later!

MaimAndKilloki · 18/10/2010 00:29

Please take me off the list. I think my marriage is about to go badly wrong, and all I want to do now is fall asleep and not wake up.

MissFlick · 18/10/2010 01:24

kaloki my love, are you still there? What has happened?xxxx

OP posts:
MissFlick · 18/10/2010 03:04

Morning all,

Really hope you're ok kaloki please come back and talk to us.

Hope everyone is ok and that the Monday blues are not kicking in (except for highheels who I'm sure is loving the fact that she is on holiday :) )

florin glad the CD arrived. How did you get on with the listening? I found the first time a bit funny and cringey but now I am used to it I do find it really relaxing. Anything that helps and all that! Your weekend sounds so fun with the dressing up. Sorry to hear about your aunt though :(

garden Grin at your judgemental cat. How are you getting on? Do you have any signs or are you being good? It is Friday that is your test day isn't it? Fingers crossed for your progesterone test results today. Will be back later on to check in and see your results. The christening sounds lovely :)

How are you doing today highheels? Hope you're feeling a little brighter today. We WILL have babies and when we do it will be even more special as we have had to go through this wait xxx

lanky how was the rest of your weekend? I really hope that work calms down a bit for you soon.

Back later to check in on all of your lovely Frolickers - like garden said, let's hope this week brings us some good news :) xxxx

kaloki I hope you are ok. Please come back and let us know how you are. We're all thinking of you x.

gardenpixie · 18/10/2010 07:56

Super quick post before I go to work (obviously I'll spend more time MNing once I'm there) just to say Kaloki are you alright? Please come and talk / rant / whatever you need if you want some company. Thinking of you lovely xxxx

slowshow · 18/10/2010 09:14

gardenpixie · 18/10/2010 09:40

Thanks for the list slowshow and sorry about ERTD Sad How are you feeling? I hope you are making the most of it by indulging in booze and blue cheese.

MissFlick thanks for asking! I have been feeling absolutely normal until this morning. I woke up with very sore (.)(.)s and feeling pretty sick. But, that could be because I usually work from home so get up much later [lazy emoticon] and apparently after about a week, the HCG is metabolised into progesterone so I reckon it's probably that. Obviously am keeping my fingers crossed that it's something more exciting but because I have so many drugs in my system, I don't know what to expect!

Florin your 1940s do sounds brilliant! What a fun thing to do.

Well, I have to go to a meeting now (how rude of them to organise one on a monday morning) so best dash. Big Monday waves for everyone xxxx

highheelsandequations · 18/10/2010 09:52

Morning all,

Kaloki hope you are okay and as everyone else has said, we're here for you.

Missflick thanks for your kind messages, I am feeling a bit better this morning, managed not to shout, scream or cry yet, which has to be a good sign. I also received your CD, thank you very much, made me smile seing it addressed to Mrs Highheels :) Haven't yet listened to it but sure I'll manage one day now I've 2 weeks of being a lady of leisure :)
It's so nice to not be at work this morning :o Am very tempted to have a very lazy and decadent day but have decided to try and get lots of stuff done over the next 2 or 3 days so I can then relax and enjoy the rest of my holiday without feeling too guilty!

slowshow sorry about FERTD. This whole business is crazy isn't it, you want longer cycles and mine are so long they're driving me insane.

florin your weekend sounds fab, I think it's nice to do something completely different occassionaly. And I love havng an excuse to dress up.

garden loving the idea of texting ovaries! Glad you enjoyed the christening, sometimes it helps to be reminded that one day this will all be worth it. It's a little early to join your mexican wave but seeing as I'm on holiday I'll have a bucks fizz! >--| (champagne flute emoticon) Cheers, To lots of frollicking good news very soon!

Toria glad you had a lovely holiday and some SWI action! Enjoy staying warm and cozy and relaxed.

Raspberry I was thinking of you the other night as we're now learning the caterpiller and cross ankle release at pole. Can manage the cross ankle (although very scary first time!) and almost managed the caterpiller but bloody hell it's hard work! Hope your last week goes well and quickly and then you can enjoy your half term. Sorry you were feeling down about the Christmas club, it'a all a bit rubbish at times isn't it. We can start a new and even better club now though :)

Josie glad you're liking the new hair.

Lanky what did you get for your anniversary present?

Tomboy any POAS action yet?

alien sorry about FERTD.

womanly how are you? Did you have a good shopping trip?

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I've missed any news. It's a very grey day here, was going to try and get out and tidy the garden before winter arrives but don't know if the weather's cooperating with my plans. Waiting for tesco to bring my shopping so I can make some granola and prepare dinner for my friend coming round tonight. So I suppose I should pick one of these thrilling tasks on my to do list and get on with it, at least the sooner I start the sooner I'll finish. Happy Mondays :)

highheelsandequations · 18/10/2010 13:31

I am exhausted! It's the first day of my holiday and surely I should be feeling rested and replenished but just want to curl up on the couch and sleep. Must try and get some energy!

MissFlick · 18/10/2010 13:49

The rest and replenishment comes after a few days of feeling poo and tired I always find HH. Enjoy your sofa time :) The Zita West CD claims to gibe you energy...

garden! Sounds exciting! Have you got your results back yet?

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 18/10/2010 15:41

HH poor you being exhausted. I think you need to put your feet up and drink wine take it easy for the rest of the day Grin

MissFlick thanks for asking - I just got my results back and progesterone was 52.7 so that means I did ov! Hurrah! Glad to know all the stabby pains weren't just in my head. Also, I remember you saying you had pains that then disappeared which is exactly what happened with mine so fingers crossed that means your big follicle popped too Grin

Right, best dash as I have ANOTHER meeting - Shock that these people expect me actually to do some work rather than just giving me money because I'm nice. Crazy ...

xxx

MissFlick · 18/10/2010 15:55

Oh yay garden! Dr. Google tells me that anything over 30 means that you have oved, non? So 52.7 is waay over that! Thanks for the reassurance re the pain, it's easy to think that you're making it up isn't it?! My pain (which was like a dull period ache/slash stitch) has well and truly disappeared since Sat as has all CM. Was swimming in it on Thurs and Fri (sorry for the gross image!) moved through to less yesterday and now nada, that must be a good thing right? Everything crossed for you lovely- hang in until Friday :) It'll be here before you know it! You sound really busy today, hope the meetings have gone ok- I hate when I have to do proper work!

Thanks for doing the list slow and sorry about your FERTD.

Am off to bed now so look forward to chatting with y'all tomorrow :)

highheelsandequations · 18/10/2010 15:59

Truffkin · 18/10/2010 17:47

Hi Frolickers, I'm glad Monday is almost at an end. Had an exhausting (but great!) weekend, so am looking forward to comfort food, curling up on the sofa to watched Sky plussed X-Factor and early to bed tonight!

I've re-posted the list as I had somehow got to CD 23 but am actually only on day 19! Am 7 DPO now though so am hoping to be able to symptom spot soon Grin

Kaloki I hope you feel that you can come back on here and let us know that you are still hanging in there. I understand if things are tough that you don't want to be joining in on the thread but we're worried about you so just let us know you're still there.

Garden hoping the sickness is exciting too, not many chances you get to say 'I hope you feel really ill' to a person and not get a dirty look back Grin

Flick CM signs sound promising. I've been charting on FF and have a reassuringly textbook chart. Unfortunately that means if there is no up-duffedness at the end of it I will have no idea where we're going wrong....

HighHeels hope you are getting some quality R&R in now, holidays are supposed to be for chilling (although I'm crap at taking my own advice and end up thinking of long lists of chores to get done) make sure you build in a good treat, even if it's just a crap film and cup of tea one afternoon.

Florin your weekend sounds ace, I love a good dress up and nice one for getting papped!

I had a lovely weekend. We were at a friend's wedding on Friday, which was fab and we stayed in the castle, which was amazing. Then on Saturday we had a bit of an all-day drinking session as it was DH's birthday yesterday and we were back in our home town after the wedding so it was a great opportunity to catch up with people. Yesterday I went to see my sister and 2 year old nephew, which was lovely and then had dinner with the in laws (including nephew and neice) before heading home. Phew, I feel tired just thinking about it!

I did have a bit of a mental moment on Saturday night though. I think I've mentioned on here before that after a few drinks my BIL tends to go on a bit about us having kids. So we'd gone outside for a cigarette (am trying not to feel guilty if I am pg about feeding an embryo 40 Marlboro, about 4 bottles of wine and my bodyweight in vodka over the weekend!!) and he started on about, when are you going to have kids, when are you moving back, I want you to have kids. I just said 'it's not always as easy for everyone as it was for you are SIL so you shouldn't make assumptions' and then just changed the subject. Later on when we were outside on a fag break again he started on about why don't I just get pregnant, come on Truff just get pregnant and move back. (I was getting annoyed at this point) then he said 'we're trying for our third now and wouldn't it be great if you and SIL could share being pg' to which I replied 'no, I wouldn't want to share being pg as she's already had 2 kids and I'd like to feel a bit special' Blush Blush Blush

So I felt awful but he was very drunk and I shouldn't really have said what I said. I got a bit upset and DH came to give me a hug and just told his brother we'd been trying for a while and nothing has happened so he needs to be careful about what he is saying. He didn't mentioned it when we saw them yesterday for dinner so am hoping it is just forgotten now. Sorry for the mammoth post, it left me feeling a bit rubbish and 'why can't I just pop out sprogs for fun' like hsi wife can Sad Envy

Right, sorry to have brought the mood down. That was just one little incident in a weekend of great fun (and lots of booze - hic!) but just a bit peeved that even in the midst of a drunken, hedonistic weekend, bloody TTCing can get in the way!!

Am off now to enjoy a leisurly evening with my lovely DH who is cooking my dinner. It's good to remind myself that I actually have a pretty decent life thank you, so I should be thankful for that and not focus on TTCing problems too much. See you tomorrow frollies [hgrin]

HRHCavey · 18/10/2010 19:15

Hey all.

garden fingers firmly crossed for you.

Truff god your BIL sounds like an arse! I hope you are feeling better.
Some people just don't think before speaking do they? Perhaps we should all carry around a dictaphone and every time someone asks an intrusive question just hit the play button - "FECK OFF!"

Still no news on my front. I'm off work all week, using up holiday before the end of the year. I've got my reflexology appointment tomorrow morning so if I don't get the chance to pop in before I go please send positive vibes my way!

I'm convinced that I'll cry when we have the pre-session consultation. I hope she doesn't think I'm nuts! Thankfully she is a fertility specialist so at least she'll understand.

Happy Monday evening all.

womanlytales · 18/10/2010 19:27

57 - wow that's amazing garden - :) Best of luck.
highheels Shopping was fun and much needed. lol

TomboyWife · 18/10/2010 20:00

Evening ladies!

Kaloki I hope you're okay and that you feel able at some point to come back and let us know how you are. Worried about you!

garden hooray on ovulating! Fingers crossed that this is your month!

Truffkin I think in your position I'd resort to physical violence. Well done on not decking your BIL!

No news from me. I'm now equal to my longest cycle and I expected ERTD to turn up today, but it didn't. The cramps are back, though, so we shall see. I'll give it another two or three days before wasting trying another test.

Toriajayne · 18/10/2010 20:27

Evening ladies.

Kaloki I hope you're alright, please come back and let us know how you are.

Garden Hooray for your little follicle becoming an egg! Got everything crossed for you :)

Truff I'd have killed him. Actually killed him dead. Fingers crossed the message has got through now.

HRHCavey Lots of positive vibes for your reflex appt, I've got one tomorrow as well which I am muchly looking forward to. Don't worry about crying at it, as you said, she's a fertility specialist and I'm sure she'll have seen it all!

Highheels Enjoy your holiday, OH is revelling in staying in bed longer than me atm! Hope you start to feel relaxed and chilled soon.

Slow Thanks for doing the list and sorry about ERTD.

Flick Good news on the CM front, all sounds very promising :)

Tomboy Fingers crossed lovely.

As for me, have looked over my FF chart and it's surprisingly non conformist (like the rest of me) so I've only got dotted lines, but I have lines all the same and they're my lines and I'm proud of them :) Also, as I take my temps when I wake up which varies between 7am and 10am it doesn't like a fair percentage of my readings anyway rolls eyes

Being somewhere between four and six days PO I am once again symptom spotting. Today I have lower back pain (needed a heat pack today at work), funny wee, loads of watery CM and am incredibly thirsty. What do we think? Wink Have OH's birthday this weekend so might be tempted to POAS on Sat morning, which I know will be too early, but will make me feel better about going out Sat night hehehe.

LankyLegs · 18/10/2010 20:42

Evening all,

kaloki are you ok? Come back and let us know ? lots of people worried about you on here.

Sounds like lots of nice weekends were had.
Flick are you on holibobs now too? Hope you are enjoying half term sweets!

Garden ruddy great news on the ovulation!! When I had my progesterone tests back in June they were around about 54 and GP said that defo means ovulation. Huzzah! Hope you got some good SWI-ing action in ? sounds like you did. Let the crazy symptom spotting begin I say!

Highheels don?t apologise for feeling that way ? we are all entitled to feel shitty. Hope you are ok and don?t feel guilty for not going to the gym! It was Friday after all.

Toriasounds like you break was lovely too! Welcome back chica.

Florin the shindig sounded great ? can imagine it was very fun dressing up in old lovely clothes!

Slow sorry for ERTD ? its rubbish isn?t it? Hope you had a few drinks guilt free.

Highheels glad you are feeling better ? 2 weeks off will hopefully help as well Grin

Truff sounds like the message got through to you BIL this time ? sometimes people need to be told so that they can be a bit more sensitive. Anyway ? sounds like you had a lovely weekend regardless which is what I like to hear. Let the symptoms spotting begin for you too!! We totally need a BFP soon ? we are due one surely?!

Cavey hope the reflexology goes well tomorrow my dear ? and don?t worry about opening up. They are used to it and trust me it is so good tlaking to someone about it ? esp someone that understands what you are talking about.

Hello lovely womanly - nice purchases my dear?!

Hello to everyone else.

My weekend was good thanks ? MrLanky and I had fun pottering around Bond Street pretending to afford things we could not! It?s our first wedding anniversary on December 5th and I think it is paper if I am right? So I have brought DH some 18th century antique Japanese prints and I asked for a Smythson organiser. I am totally behind the times but I love having a proper diary. Rest of the weekend involved lots of food and wine which was nice. Just been for a run ? but boy I forgot it?s not great running in the dark.

Other than that work is still rubbish and busy but hey ho! Looking forward (if that is possible?!) to the hycosy next Tuesday too and more soo moving into our HOUSE! Just waiting for a completion date which we should hopefully get this week ? super bloody excited.

Have good evenings all xxx

Toriajayne · 18/10/2010 20:53

Oh, I forgot to say, my best friend's sister in law had a baby ten days ago and N (my friend) has been collecting babydust for me ever since, so I've put it in a sparkly pot above the fire in the Three Follicles, feel free to help yourselves ladies!

Lanky All your news is very exciting (other than work obviously)! Your first anniversary is indeed paper, drooling over your organiser :)

HRHCavey · 18/10/2010 21:34

Lucky you Lanky! for our 1st wedding anniversary I bought DH a subscription to his favourite magazine, which I think complies with the paper theme [hgrin]

Thanks for the good wishes for my "foot-fiddling" as DH has christened it! He's sent me a good luck message from Gibraltar and told me not to stress too much.

kaloki if you are out there let us know that you are ok. Lots of (((hugs))) coming your way.

Truffkin · 18/10/2010 22:08

Thanks for helping me feel better ladies, thought you'd like the update though. Got home and DH tells me his brother phoned him to say that SIL is pregnant. They've known for a few weeks so HE KNEW ON FRIDAY. I'm just Shock really. Now think he was a total twunt.

Am also a little Sad as he asked me on Saturday if they got pg quickly again if we'd stop trying to avoid a 'clash' which I now feel Confused about as HE KNEW SHE WAS PREGNANT!!!!

Sorry for all the shouting, am very [hmmm]

And apologies for not congratulating Garden on the huuuuge results earlier. I was (erm, am!) in rant mode Grin
