Sorry will post proper post tomorrow but wanted to update you. Did a clear blue test and had the faintest of faintest lines think it is an evap line. But went out to buy another test - digital yes or no one so shall let you know tomorrow morning!! V stressful evening had tears for bfn but still tiny weenie bit of hope.

Truffkin · 12/10/2010 23:01

Zippys everything crossed for tomorrow morning for you sweets, really hoping for a positive result.

MrsWajs · 13/10/2010 00:56

{shock} Zippys I just popped in here to say hello and look what I stumble across!!!

I so hope tomorrow brings good news for you - you truely deserve it! :):)

How is everyone else? I will have a little read back but really just wanted to say that 12 week scan was today and everything was ok - baby was sitting with it's legs crossed for a while and then started dancing!! Amazing to see! Hope everyone else is keeping well and keeping up the good work Wink

MaimAndKilloki · 13/10/2010 01:53

Keeping absolutely everything crossed for you zippys!! Sending lots of love and luck your way!

MrsWajs That's amazing :) thank you for coming back to tell us about it

bunnygirl80 · 13/10/2010 02:17

Just popped in to see what was going on in TTC-land and saw zippys post.

I've got everything crossed for you, hope you get the good news you deserve Smile

I bought some raspberry leaf tea the other day, in the hope of having a faster labour. According to the pack, it's also recommended for TTC - supposedly it helps prepare the uterine lining for implantation. Just thought I'd share that little bit of info in case any of you want to try the evil tasting stuff it out. You only need one cup a day, rather than the 5 that you take in late pg, and you can keep drinking it once you get your BFP cos it's meant to sure morning sickness as well. And if you don't get pg, it helps cure PMT too. In fact, given that it claims to be so wonderful, all women of child bearing age should be drinking it all the time Grin

MissFlick · 13/10/2010 05:56

Morning All,

I took the plunge and stayed home from work today- I hate the guilty feeling but I am actually sick so I know I shouldn't feel guilty.

zippys I so hope that this is it for you my love. EVERYTHING is crossed for you and I will be refreshing this page for the whole afternoon until you post xxx

mrsw glad the scan went well! Have you mad eyour 'official' announcement yet?! It must be so exciting!

Thanks for the info bunny I quite like fruit tea- or is this one especially horrid? I hope it works for you. This year has gone SO fast (perhaps not so fast for you!) but I can't believe that you are due in a month!

tomboy hope get good news on your job soon, the wait is horrible. I think that there is never a 'right' time to ttc so we just have to do it when we can. Don't worry about changing jobs, I think we spend far too much time feeling guilty and worrying about work when that is such a small part of our lives, or should be. Have you given in and POAS yet?!

Good luck with finishing your work cavey. I think when you can't be arsed you need to not do it as what could take you half and hour when you can be bothered could easily take 3 hours when you're in that can't be arsed mood so I think mnetting was the right choice my dear!

karstan sorry to hear about your fibroids, I don't remember if you have mentioned them before and I'm sorry if you thought i was being insensitive saying that it was a silver lining that you had regular cycles Confused

josie I really liked charting and it was nice to see that your body is working. I am thinking of going back to it after Christmas if still no luck here. I really miss putting my temps in to FF [geek emoticion]

Hi garden :) I took your advice and am at home! Perhaps you not having pg symptoms after the HCG shot means that your body is really good at processing the hormone and that you will be one of the 'Earth mothers' who sail through their pregnancies feeling all wonderful and glowy :) Is your SWI-athon done now? Mr. F is being allowed to rest and only having to perform every other night at the minute as am on day 32 (but no idea what my body is doing with regards to ov-ing so just carrying on regardless :)) I just don't trust that every other day is enough Confused... I know it is but I still doubt it- does that make sense?!

lanky!! I'm getting excited for you. That is all. :) Will you wait to see if ERTD arrives on Sat before testing? I hope you don't need the hycosy but if you do I have heard SO many stories of people who have conceived after having their tubes cleaned out.. How is work going? Hopefully not too manic? and I have been meaning to ask you for ages now if you ever picked up your CBFM from the post office?!

Hope you had another high temp today truff?

So my day off is going quite nicely for a sick day. Woke up with Mr. F at 6.30 and was awake until 9 before going back to sleep until 11.30. Have now just watched last night's Eastenders on I-player and had my lunch. I am going to do some work this afternoon (marking :() for a few hours and then will take to the sofa and watch lots of Gossip Girl. Mr. F is not home until 9 at the earliest tonight so have lots of time to enjoy kill :)

Just had pictures sent through of my work colleagues new baby girl. She was conceived after her mummy had a few months worth of Clomid so it is a lovely success story and she is SOOO cute. Might venture out to the shops a little later to get a card and little present.

Be back later to stalk see zippys :) and chat to anyone who fancies a skive from work xxxx

Morning all, just popping in to see if there's any news from zippys.

Enjoy your duvet day MissFlick and lovely to hear from MrsWajs - life on the other side and all that!

zippys · 13/10/2010 07:07

Well ladies - bfn Sad

Don't you just love it when NOT PREGNANT flashes up!!

Damn that evap line as this morning it is even more obviously a line, it just feels so cruel to have been that hope to be taken away. Mr Z has been lovely as always. Anyway must get ready for work, especially as my make up will takes ages to cover up the state of my face!!

MissFlick · 13/10/2010 07:15

zippys The CB- digis are notoriously un-reliable/not very sensitive... I think it is infact 50 mIU and the most sensitive are 10. I would test again later on or tomorrow with a more sensitive test just to be sure- I think people say good things about Boots, Superdrug and First Response tests xxxxxx

OP posts:
HRHCavey · 13/10/2010 07:19

zippys sorry to hear that, but as MissFlick says, it ain't over till it's over.
Perhaps give it a few days and if no ERTD test again. The hormone levels in each individual woman are so variable that no pregnancy test can be taken as gospel.

MissFlick · 13/10/2010 07:26

Morning cave I am enjoying my day but am just getting stuck into some hard core year 13 marking Confused Hope the time is passing quickly without your DH xx

OP posts:
Truffkin · 13/10/2010 08:01

Morning Frolickers

Zippys so sorry for BFN and if you don't want to get your hopes up then that's it and don't read on. Like the others have said, you hear so many stories of people getting BFNs several times before the BFP finally shows up and the CB digi tests are not very sensitive. HCG in pg women doubles every day (so I've read) so if no ERTD in a couple of days, use a more sensitive test and try again

Flick you sound like me, working even though you are off sick! Hope you're getting lots of rest though to feel better.

MrsWajs so nice to hear how you are doing and really pleased everything is going well for you. I'd only just found MN when you got your BFP and it feels like that time has flown!

I'm pleased to report another temp above the coverline this morning. Just tomorrow to go and FF will confirm that I OVed on Sunday / Monday. Feel like we timed it well so fingers crossed. Even though I'd only be 3 DPO now I'm already symptom spotting so please feel free to slap me with the thread kipper. According to my overactive imagination my nausea, vivid and unusually remembered dreams plus womb-region stretchy feeling all equal upduffedness Blush

I am off to start a busy day at work so will hopefully be distracted from too much any mentalness today!

JosieSmith1 · 13/10/2010 08:38

Thanks Miss Flick, I joined FF yesterday and it?s really quite fun Grin My thermometer is on the way too. At least if I get some idea of whether or not I?m oving I will know where to go from there. I will be here for a chat later unless it gets busy in here, which is unlikely!

Truff I can't possibly slap you with the thread kipper as my symptom spotting has been really crazy in the past! Don't know how I'm so calm considering I'm on day 27ShockShock

MissFlick · 13/10/2010 08:51

truff my symptom spotting has gone crazy today too but I know it is just torturing myself so I am thinking that if I keep it to myself then I am not really thinking it- how crazy is that?! Yep, it sucks working when off sick but I think I only needed a day off to rest my voice and try and get rid of this cough so I don't mind working too much...My head feels ok and I could have gone in if I worked in a office I think but with teaching if you can't talk properly and keep having coughing fits there is no point going in! V. Pleased about your temp :)

You are very calm josie most impressed!

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 13/10/2010 09:26

Thanks MissFlick, don't know what is happening, I was really calm last cycle too, maybe I know deep down I'm not pg so not worrying about it. Though it would be ideal now as won't be doing much riding over winter plus I would be due just before best mate's wedding so could have a little flower girl/page boy (yes I have calculated my imaginary due date but only so I knew if it was too close to wedding)

I think maybe because it was my first early morning at yard this morning and I'm still slightly asleep Grin

gardenpixie · 13/10/2010 09:50

Morning all,

How is everyone?

Zippys enormous boo about your BFN. I agree with everyone else's comments about testing again later with a sensitive HPK but I know that doesn't help it be less crushing. Hope you're OK lovely.

MissFlick well done for taking some time off - I hope you are feeling better and managing to get some time to look after yourself. This evening is our last day of SWI-athon. I am pretty sure I ov'd on Saturday but we just want to make sure we cover our bases! We are both getting quite used to the one a day horizontals although the three days of twice a day was a bit much! I am going to nominate MrG for the nobel SWI prize, bless him Grin

So I reckon I am now around 4DPO ... and am symptom spotting like a mad person. Currently trying to work out whether fancying (and having) two pieces of chilli chocolate for breakfast is a sign or just me being greedy. I suspect it is the latter!

Have to go for a day 21 progesterone test on Friday so I'll hold off the worst of the mentalness until after I get the results (should be Saturday) just in case the clomid / HCG combo didn't work.

Big wednesday waves to everyone xxxxx

OneOf8 · 13/10/2010 10:38

Hello lovely ladies!

Zippys sorry about the BFN, hope your ok x

I don?t like to post on here to often (well, unless its a congrats!) but the other reason for my posting is on having a clear out at home, I still have some preg tests.

They are the sensitive ones off Amazon.

If anyone wants them - will be happy to post to you as don't want to bin them as the delivery charge was more than the product! (I'm giving them away - I don?t want anything, just don't want to see them in the bin!)

Just inbox me. I passed on my ovulation strips to Halo and was offering these at the same time, but completely forgot about them, as had no takers!

If you're a POAS addict or fed up of spending money checking if its a irregular cycle or the jackpot (this was me!) - will be happy to send them your way Grin

xx

JosieSmith1 · 13/10/2010 10:58

Just a quick post

Are there any hairdressers on here? I'm considering a big change of style (long to short) but have extremely thick hair so not sure the style I'm thinking of would work

xx

slowshow · 13/10/2010 11:21

Morning everyone!

Thanks to all of those who consoled me about impending ERTD. You?re right about being able to drink ? I have a big birthday coming up in a fortnight, and it would be an awful shame to miss out on booze (not to mention how difficult it would?ve been to explain why I wasn?t drinking). So I shouldn?t be too upset.

Despite experiencing every premenstrual symptom under the sun, there?s still a voice at the back of my head trying to convince me that the spotting will stop and I might be pregnant after all. I need to give myself a serious talking to.

I?m another one who really likes charting! I find it really interesting in a scientific kind of way, and also reassuring to know that my ovaries are working Grin

TomboyWife - I?m also very reluctant to change jobs now I?m TTC, despite being incredibly bored and fed up in my current job. It only makes the TTC thing harder because it increases the sense of urgency. I just want to go off on maternity leave, thanks very much. Sorry you?re being made redundant, what a nightmare.

Oh Zippy, sorry to hear about the POAS result.

I hear you on the weird dreams Truffkin. I?ve had pregnant dreams three times in the last week or so, and I?ve taken it as an OBVIOUS sign that I?ll be up the stick really soon.

womanlytales · 13/10/2010 11:34

Zippys Big hug to you, terribly sorry for the bfn. I was all twisted up, and feeling very positive for you. Do test again if you can because we have quite a few examples of late bfps in the grads list.
Speaking of grads, hiya mrswajs - Happy to hear of your scan going well, :)
Reading about temping here I went out yesterday determined to buy one of those bbt thingies...but then gave up. I was supposed to at least use our current one but forgot all about it when I woke up!! I don't think temping is for me... lol.
Garden and Flick - all things crossed for you two ladies -- Hope the days go by really quickly and you kick off our christmas club. Flick Agree with you it's been awhile since we had a bfp here...so really excited for a flurry of them in the days / weeks ahead.
Lanky Didn't read back to your post but from the posts about you on this page - am feeling something special happening for you -- All things crossed... I hope you join garden and flick to make up the three follicles that graduate this month :)
Baby dust to all.

MissFlick · 13/10/2010 13:24

Oh womanly you are such a sweetie. Your feelings are reflected back to you from me- I have heard some good stories about women having success on the cycle after clomid so am keeping everything crossed.

slow at least you can relax at the birthday now- dreams ARE a good sign you know!

one I would love your tests but think it might be a hassle to post to me over in Honkers so I will let a UK based Frolicker take you up on your offer :) It's really kind of you to think of us. You are always welcome to post on here too you silly thing.

Fingers crossed for your blood test on Friday garden will the results be quick to come through? If you did ov on sat by the time you get your test results it will almost be time to POAS- EEEKK! I know what you mean about getting used to the once day horizontals :) I am not sure I could cope with twice though!

I am feeling lots better for my day off thanks everyone. I have just had a lovely bath and a nice dinner and just settled down to watch a couple of episodes of Gossip Girl and found that the DVD is in Mr.F's laptop which is with him :( Booooo. He doesn't even like it, I was just using it to watch GG when we were in England for the weekend. I'm up to date with all my regular programs so will have to have a browse on I-player and see if anything takes my fancy- any recommendations of anything good thats been on recently?

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 13/10/2010 14:52

Thanks womanly for the good wishes! I am also keeping my pixie fingers crossed that this cycle is a good one for you - like Miss Flick I have heard of lots of ladies who get pg the month after they take clomid. Something about it giving the whole system a kick start. How are you feeling?

Miss Flick thanks for asking - I'll get the results on Saturday hopefully and Monday at the latest. Enormous eeeek! I've been told to leave any POAS action until 14 days after an HCG shot - I think that's overkill as it should be out of my system in a few days (still tickled by the fact that if I POASed now it would show a positive) but I think I will hold out as long as I can ... unless the blood tests come back negative of course then at least I'll know I won't have to bother! Glad you enjoyed your day off but booo about your DVD!

Hope everyone else is having a lovely afternoon xxx

MissFlick · 13/10/2010 14:53

I chose to watch Single Father- It was so sad :( On that note, I'm off to bed. Only two more wake ups until the weekend- phew. Love to all and have a nice rest of your day xx

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 13/10/2010 14:57

MissFlick I am chortling at "only two more wake-ups", you are so right! Great way of measuring out the week xx
