mouse glad you're holding up so far, we'll all be thinking of you tomorrow x

another candle burning here in the south west, it's quite comforting actually, I sort of feel like he's with us. We named him Daryl (means "dearly loved". Was a bit of a mad scramble round for unisex names so we had something suitable to put on his coffin, but I'm happy with it now). Never forgotten. Thinking of you all and all your lost little ones x

Choccybick · 15/10/2010 23:36

Hi lovelies
Not been around since Wed Night .....
Spent last night with adorable Michael Buble Live in concert and have been in horny mood ever since. :-D
bookfacers among you will have seen it and that ive been "attending Baby loss Day"

Lit candle tonight too.
Bean had no name but my craving was spinach. don't want to remember Bean As Popeye. Bean was made in Fuerteventura. Our Hotel was Mega boring in the evenings.
Unfortunately no Greek Bean this month so better get planning Next Holiday.

mummyabroad sorry about your Doc. Fingers crossed à month of the pill will do Trick for you.

Choccybick · 15/10/2010 23:39

Oooh mousebacon all the best for tomorrow pet Hugs

HeadlessLadyBoo · 15/10/2010 23:56

evening all - it's too late to do a proper catch up, just wanted to say sorry it didn't happen to Velvet I was really hoping it was your time.

My MIL is back with us this weekend, before flying back to NZ on Monday. It occurred to me that she'll be around when we have to go to our consultant appointment. Can't quite work out what to say, and still keep some sort of privacy about this. Hmm

My temps went up again this morning. This made me go so mental I peed on a stick and got a BFN. Grin I know a Grin is not the usual response to this, but my own stupidity optimism did make me groan.

Not sure I'll be allowed near the laptop have time to be around this weekend.

HeadlessLadyBoo · 15/10/2010 23:57

oooohhh, my name change worked. Did I scare ya?

MummyAbroad · 16/10/2010 02:04

7pm in Costa Rica, candle is on for Lia/Leo.

still in the middle of a big wobble about the docs appointment. I think all you girls are fantastic though. Much love xxxx

Velvetcu · 16/10/2010 09:54

Grrrr!!

AF disappeared yesterday afternoon! Please leave me on CD1 if anyone updates the list until she comes back properly.

sunchild77 · 16/10/2010 11:07

Hi girls just checking in to say hi and that I hope yous are all having a good saturday. I'm feeling a bit down today would have been 20 weeks today :(

Im also stressing because Ive been having really short cycles lately 23-25 days. I think I ov'd around CD12 cos of a miniscule amount of pant snot. Im CD22 today, don't feel remotely pg although we had swi loads. Im entering the fish slapping phase again, but feeling really despondant with not much positive mental attitude going on.

So it seems short cycles is a rare problem here, but does anyone have any insight in to lenghthing cycles? please! ta x

PinkFondantFancy · 16/10/2010 11:10

velvet oooooooh exciting! This could mean ANYTHING!!!!! nicks what's the news?? Do share! mummya Angry for you about gynae :( Really sorry about the pill but fingers crossed you're just 28 days away from a bit fat lining and then just another 28 days away from a BFP..... mousy thinking about you today hun, hope everything goes v. well.

Didn't have the bottle to light a candle, can't deal with upsetting myself again so instead went to the Bavarian beerhouse in London to drink steins of beer and eat ridiculously large amounts of pork products with some v. dear friends that are over from America at the moment. They don't know anything about MC so was really nice to let my hair down a bit with people that know nothing about it. Problem is that I have absolutely no tolerance for booze anymore so I have a minging hangover this morning!! D-oh!! Reckon I might do some kind of remembrance thingy on EDD in middle of January - anyone greenfingered out there know of any plants that flower each January? When do snowdrops come out, I have no idea!!!

Off for weekend with SIL...... Have a fab weekend everyone xx

PinkFondantFancy · 16/10/2010 12:34

Hey sun crossed posts with you! There's bound to be someone more knowledgeable than me around here, but I would have thought if you ov'ed on cd12 even with your short cycles you've still got a long enough luteal phase? Hugs for you, it's so hard passing these milestone dates. I was trying not to keep too much track of where I would have been up to but realised that when I had the really miserable day the other day it would have been the first day of the 3rd trimester so I think I do know subconsciously afterall. I find my levels of optimism vary wildly even from hour to hour so fingers crossed tomorrow will be a better day for you xx

DachshundsRule · 16/10/2010 12:50

hello people

had a bad couple of days lately - manic at work and then every time i put something on TV over the last couple of days there was someone having a baby. Plus would have been 20 weeks and finding out sex yesterday so was in floods of tears when I put my ribbon on and lit my candle.

Feeling a bit better today, but after my saga with my builder I'm supposed to be having my driveway done next week and the driveway guy was meant to come over this morning to get the deposit and keys and he's not turned up and isn't answering his phone, so looks like I'm in for another bout of being messed around...

izzy and nicks also 34 (November baby), 2002 June wedding, so a year after you nicks Seems to be a popular age :)

Am taking advantage of there being about a week before I expect my next cycle and the IVF to start to have the odd glass of wine and unhealthy food, so it looks like it will be takeaway pizza in front of the X Factor tonight... Hope you all have a good weekend

nickstermum · 16/10/2010 13:24

Thers a lot of us who would have been twenty weeks round about now ish and finding out the sex :( :( makes it a lot more real :( emotions running high yest. Sat and cried on my DH knee for a bit which was nice, but it was comforting to have a candle lit.

Izz love the name daryl,
MA love the names - my DS middle name is Leo.
Chocky - no popeye would never do, nugget was just a joke by DH and it kind of stuck, but not bean as my DS was BeanieWebb! Ours had been implanting in France and so was going to be a louie or pierre!

Dachs sorry you have been feeling rotten, everything crossed for ivf, my friends conceived on ivf after 5 years of infertility, they now have a DD age 2 :) There is hope :)

MummyAbroad · 16/10/2010 13:30

Hi Sun,

I agree with Pink, I dont think that your luteal phase is a problem at all and therefore your short cycles are nothing to worry about. Bear in mind that for an egg to be released your body has to get the estrogen level up to maximum production, when this threshold is reached a pattern of events is triggered to initiate ovulation. If your body is doing it in 12 days it means everything is working efficiently and nicely. It really doesnt matter though if it takes shorter or longer, the important thing is that there are at least 10 days AFTER ovulation, as this is know to cause problems with implantation otherwise.

The 2WW always makes you doubt and worry about everything, doesnt it? xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 16/10/2010 13:56

mouse hope you're ok x

pink sounds like you had a good night out - lucky you!! It's lovely to just be able to let your hair down sometimes isn't it? Hope you're not feeling too rough today Smile

dachs only a week to go - how exciting! Will be keeping my fx for you. Sorry you've been feeling low, hopefully starting the ivf will be a bit of a boost for you? It seems there's a few people on here dealing with difficult milestones right now, so (((hugs))) to all of you, especially dachs and sunchild and nicks. The 20-week one is really hard; mine was on dd's birthday, and it was also my dsis's 8-week scan when she found out she had had her 2nd mc that day, so just a huge amount of emotional turmoil. The other big one of course is the due date - I'm dreading that, but hoping to do something nice (sorry pink I am clueless as to plants) like maybe taking the dcs to send up some Chinese lanterns or something? And i have his Christmas bauble to hang on the tree since he was due at Christmas...not going to be easy though.

sunchild - I don't really know much about short cycles but like mummyabroad I reckon if you're ovulating and have a decent length luteal phase, I can't see that it would be a problem? Hopefully someone mire knowledgeable will be along soon though.

Finally velvet hmm wonder what's going on?! Have you got any plans to POAS if she doesn't come back over the weekend?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 16/10/2010 15:09

Just popped back in to wish LadyBoo all the best for her consultants appointment - when is it? Let us know how you get on x

also AandRmum well done on the Venice trip - hope you have a fab time. Have to say you sounded remarkably calm about the journey and it sounds like it went very smoothly. We got stuck in Spain in April with the volcanic ash and ended up doing a 48-hour road trip across Europe to get back...the DCs were great but it was just exhausting, glad yours sounds slightly less frantic!

Hello ladies, I'm home! Feel like a herd of elephants has been through me but am ok. Thank god

I am indeed a geordie Choccybick love it here and the RVI have been fab (even if the staff all looked about 12 Grin)

pink hope the hangover's on its way out - it's good to relax a bit and enjoy the 'banned' substances isn't it. I rediscovered the joy of wine last week.

will start namechecking properly soon I promise.

Might have a little nap now....xxx

HeadlessLadyBoo · 16/10/2010 16:30

MIL, BIL and DH are at the football Grin leaving me free to lounge around prepare dinner.

sunchild I don't think that short cycles are a problem unless you're ovulating too close to the end to give an embryo a chance to implant. I think it's considered a problem if it's less than 10 days. Some people recommend B6 supplementation (but as a B multivit) to try to extend it.

velvet gosh. I wonder what's happening? I am waiting news.

I ventured onto bookface yesterday, and thought briefly about updating my picture, outing myself re: babyloss, and messaging you rabble about befriending me - but the first thing I saw was a newsfeed from a friend telling the world that her baby was kicking her. Her baby is due the week my first pregnancy was due. I ran away again, I think I'll leave it for a while longer. Sad

Dachs enjoy the wine and pizza tonight, and best of luck for both dealing with trades and venturing into the IVF battleground when that arrives.

Hi izzy - the appointment is on Monday morning, I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I get a little wave of butterflies everytime I think about it.

mouse good to hear from you and glad you're ok. Take it easy.

nickstermum · 16/10/2010 16:59

/8mousey* wonderful you are home xxxx glad you arent too bad xxx

mummyoracle again, i dont need to research as you teach me so much, and you boo!! Well done on nearly befriending us rabble, and nearly outing yourself Grin it takes effort. It took me days of copying and deleting that passage wombat found!! My friends have since grown though, although i think my regular friends didnt know what to say as only you lot liked the status!!

VELVET test again? could be implanting? hope so x

dachs enjoy your newly done living room, im beginning to regret stripping wallpaper off! doing our bedroom and its taking its toll. I am a big laura ash wallpaper fab though and am sat stroking a very goregous flowery roll for my feature wall Grin
Wine chinese and xfactor tonight.... probably whilst painting!!

No work next week though so v happy about that....will know by the end of it if we have been successful this month i guess! Did Toysrus earlier as DS is 3 on tues and guess what?, eveyone was pg!! BOO

nickstermum · 16/10/2010 17:00

wallpaper fan... doh!

PinkFondantFancy · 16/10/2010 20:43

Just a quickie, it's a break in the action at the ice hockey!! Just wanted to say well done for venturing near bookface boo-it really pigs me off how people write those messages, no-one apart from maybe their DP is actually interested and it's really insensitive to the unknown number of people it might upset. Grrr

Whoop they're back, ice hockey is BRILLIANT!! although no fights yet this game...

Urbanlolly · 16/10/2010 20:52

Just a quick hello to all
mouse glad it all went well... Take it easy over next few days...if anything like me expect to be a bit all over the place.....xx
I agree the milestones are really tough... I am comming up to my 20 weeks this fri Sad

passing out some lovely wine, cheese, crackers, & yummy nibbles to all ( mum & dad just back from France)
enjoy the rest of the weekend..... Off Monday catch up proper then (((((EVERYONE)))))

nickstermum · 16/10/2010 21:18

Yumm

Kind of nice in a strange way, so many of us on here would have been due around the same time, but not if you know what i mean!! Someone to hold our hands in feb/march

Dont know about you but is anyone else finding XF boring tonight? Cheryl with her 'mini rapping me' with the scary face and god knows what wagner is going to sing... i stand corrected! its horrifying!

Vote scary wagner, and get the scary rapper off!! Grin

AandRMum · 16/10/2010 21:25

Izzy I'm an Aussie whose extended family lived in Melbourne whilst we were on the Gold Coast (3000km) long distance driving is in the genetic make up ... but you are right it is exhausting. I am always impressed by how well the DDs travel.

No candles to light but thinking of baby Rory and all the other little beans who we didn't get to see.

MummyA you are a font of wisdom and sooo deserve some good wall thickening, af impending, baby arriving news soon - in the meantime let me pour you some of the lovely red we are drinking.

HeadlessLadyBoo · 16/10/2010 22:09

Ah crappity-crap AF made her appearance tonight, with just a dull ache to warn me. I'll be back to day 1 tomorrow, piss pissy piss.

Damn it. So I'm not pregnant 1 year after starting ttc #2, I won't be pregnant before due date of pg#1 this year. Fingers crossed for +ve before my next birthday (37, ah bollocks) as that just leaves Christmas and due date of pg#2 milestones to pass on the road to despair.

And I can't even weep into my wine and ask for hugs from dh as goddamn MIL is here. (she's very nice actually, but still, Company, not the crying-in-front-of kind). Instead have pleaded a headache and am weeping over my iPhone instead.
