Mummyabroad: sorry that your gynae was rubbish, but good job that sonographer was a little bit more clued up. Hope that everything you have to go through now ( horrible as it sounds) brings you that much closer to your BFP- which is just round the corner FX. You are so brave. Stay strong hon. Our thoughts are with you xxx

fedupttcnosuccess · 15/10/2010 09:56

Mousebacon: sorry for the erpc. Hope that it brings you closer to your goal. You have had to endure quite a lot, my heart goes out to you. Hope you have lots of support inRL. Wishing that all goes according to plan. Take care hon xxx
Hi to everyone else, can't stop: off to do some shopping for mum and dad! Xxx

LadyGoneGaga · 15/10/2010 11:48

Hi Ladies. Sorry haven't posted at all really since hopped on. I have lurked from time to time but it's becoming a full time job keeping up with all the threads I'm on. Needless to say I think you're all a lovely bunch and it has helped me hearing everyone's stories evn though I don't post. And sorry to some of the new ladies on here who i also know from other threads. Mouse really sorry to hear about your ERPC. Hope it goes straightforwardly and you are ok.

I do have a question. Today is 8dpo in my WTF cycle post mc. We have been trying, using OPK's and charting, did teh secks at the right time. I had a temp dip at 6dpo, recovered yesterday and today am bleeding, temps down a bit but still above coverline. Not flooding the place but more than spotting I would say. Am thinking this is prob some crazy arse short LP due to messed up hormones. Did anyone else have this? Did your LP go back to normal the next cycle?Alternative is could be implantation bleed but think this is doubtful as from what I've read implanatiaon bleed should be barely noticeable spotting and this is purest scarlet quite a lot! Opinions/experiences would be great.

fedupttcnosuccess · 15/10/2010 11:55

Hi lady! Hope someone more knowledgeable than myself can come along soon. Very new to this self discovery scientific malarkey! Oldie in relation to age (40), and ttc (over2years). Wish I could have been more helpful. Sorry x

bluesatinsash · 15/10/2010 12:01

Excuse my intrusion but I saw this on active conversations..

I'm on a similar thread which started as a support thread (Emmsy's Angels) to remember our our lost angels back in August 2008 (I had two mc's Aug and Dec 08), moved over to conception when we felt stronger and over the last two years has seen over 12 babies born to Mum's who had had between 1-4 mcs Sad. Only this week one of our 'Emmsy's graduates' was born to a Mum who had 3 mc's last year, it was a speical day indeed.

We shared the same stories, the same anxiety and ttc obsessing, the terrified early weeks of pg not knowing whether to go for early scans or not...

Just wanted to say the support really does help emotionally and you will all get there, I look at my 10 month old and still can't believe he is here.

Would also recommend acupuncture as a few of us undertook a course and fell pg not long after...

Thinking of you all on this special baby loss day. Remember and light your candle tonight x

MummyAbroad · 15/10/2010 13:59

Morning all

Velvet - arsicles Sad it was all looking so good for you there! I'm really disappointed for you. I got my themometer off Amazon, I picked the the cheapest one and it works fine. I shop of the U.S. Amazon, though not sure if this one exists on the UK one.

Hi Izzy, loola, nickster, velvet, pretty and fedup thanks for your lovely posts, made me feel better.

Izzy, Yes the sonographer explained lots. I'm a bit worried that if I go into too much gory detail I will freak out mousebacon. Mouse, please dont worry that any of this will happen to you darling! I hope it all went well and you are tucked up in bed recovering.xxx

I am still feeling crushed, but have ordered some AC off the internet (if I am on the pill I can take the heavy stuff right?) and I will call an acupunturist this afternoon.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Velvetcu · 15/10/2010 14:17

I went and bought a cheapy thermometer at the supermarket and have joined FF. Am very interested to see what my graphs look like. In a strange sort of way, I think it will take my mind off of TTC because I'm eager to have a few cycles so I can see my whole graphs!

Am thinking of maybe giving it a rest next month anyway since we have booked a party on 27th Nov for our 30ths and I dont really want to be stressing about possibly being PG around that time! DH disagrees though so we will see.

appleblossoms · 15/10/2010 14:38

big hugs (((( mummya )))) really hope the pill can work some wonders, totally understand what you mean about feeling like it's defeat...it might seem like a backward step, but sometimes you have to go back to go forward and all that...

velvet I'm gutted for you Sad I was really hoping this was your month, it sounded so promising... i'm sorry lovey.

mousey sorry you've had to go down the ERPC route when you didn't want to, but like the others have said I too found it almost a relief. Take care of yourself this weekend, make sure you're spoilt looked after propely.

good to see you back PV, and lovely to 'see' you on bookface! sorry your hands are being rubbish...you need one of those voice recognition thingymebobs!

am thinking of you all today, on our special day of rememberance for what might have been....here's praying for lovely shiny HEALTHY BFP's for us all very soon indeed.

izzy, nicks, mamap, ladyb, betweener, ladyg, choccy, and everyone

PrettyWhichfulThinking · 15/10/2010 14:40

Bound to happen then Velvet Grin
Sorry if I sounded insensitive about you being glad, mix of strong painkillers and not catching up for a while, I was thinking that you were fed up with your body messing you about. xxx

PrettyWhichfulThinking · 15/10/2010 14:41

Ooooo, and I've changed my name Grinfor halloween.
Ooops.

TheMummyAbroad · 15/10/2010 15:05

just changed my name for Halloween too Grin

MamaPower · 15/10/2010 15:10

Oh MA that is actually shocking, having an ignorant GP is one thing but this person is supposed to be a gynae! Poor you Sad. I hope the pill works...just one cycle so let's hope that illusive old bitch shows up in 4 weeks :)

Loola glad swabs were all clear Smile

Sorry she's singing Velvet Had high hopes...Boo to the biatch

LadyGG I shouldn't worry...your hormones will be playing silly buggers! Mine did for months and my cycle is still not back to it's pre mc state! Just chart your cycles and keep an eye on thing Smile

I reckon me and Choccy and Izzy, will all be ?at it? Grin Grin around the same time this cycle given my lateness and short cycle...race you to the BPF Grin Grin

Good luck temping Velvet

Bluesatinsash what a lovely post, thank you Smile

Grin Grin Pretty, you funny lady!!

Waves to Nix, Dachs, Kat, Wombat, Batfink, Pink, AandR, Apple and all.

I'm away for the weekend...again, my life is constantly hectic now dh back home, we have so many friends to catch up with! Hope you all have a good weekend, catch you on Monday x

PrettyMyraMains · 15/10/2010 15:49

Love it MA.
I changed my mind Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/10/2010 16:04

ladygg I had a crappy short luteal phase last cycle, spotting from 6dpo, full on AF from 8dpo. I am having acupuncture this month to see if it makes any difference; I think probably everythings a little crazy after the mc. If it makes you feel any better, my GP says length of LP doesn't make any difference, as king as you've got high enough levels of progesterone. But then I think low progesterone can cause short LP so it doesn't make any sense IMO to look at them as two separate issues Confused

on the other hand, it could be implantation bleeding. I've had that with all three of my pregnancies and it really can range in colour, flow etc. Fingers crossed for you anyway!

bluesatinsash thank you for thinking of us all, that's really kind x

mamap - it does seem as though me and you and choccy have sync'ed our cycles again, yet more SWIing in tandem on the thread!! Fx for the baby dust x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/10/2010 16:12

Morning all,

Just updating the stats (I know I said I wouldn't attempt it again due to high likelihood of messing it up, but have been to yoga today and feeling very zen so I'm sure it will go smoothly for once) Grin

HOW DO YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME?>!>!

nickstermum · 15/10/2010 17:05

catch up propertly later, msg for gaga i am now in Cycle 1 post MC and have just ov at day CD23/24 but during my WTF cycle i seemed to ov 7 days before AF. I wasnt OPK'ing then though so cant be certain, but if it was it was a very short LP!

Right, walls stripped, furniture moved round and organised! Up for some painting tonight :) its great actually, planned to do it before DC2 arrived, so am glad we are doing it anyway :) Need a project to focus on xx

Fab to see you back, hope your tingly paws are giving you a break xx

AandRMum · 15/10/2010 17:43

We made it to Venice ... surprisingly doable!

Only a quick post to give MummyA and Mousebacon massive hugs and to hand out Bellinis to everyone else. MummyA is there any worth in having a recommended gynea having a look at your files. My friend has a wonderful gynea and I'm sure others on here know of good ones. If the ones you can physically see aren't giving you answers maybe someone reviewing your info could spot something ... I think I have been watching to much House. I desperately want some foul mouthed but knowledgable git to come along and say 'Why of course, it is blah blah' and ping your af arrives quickly followed by a bfp. 'Velvet* so sorry af got you - here's hoping your charting is revealing. I am certain I iced on 1st Oct but no sign of af yet ... Trying to restrain poking and general symptom spotting!

AandRMum · 15/10/2010 17:49

Hmm ov'd not iced ... not good at iPhone typing. mousebacon I can only echo what the others said re Erpc - horrible but ultimately doable. Other than breaking down with the anesthetis and being jabbed a million times trying to find my veins it was easier physically than I had anticipated. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
BTW am very jealous and impressed by your name changing abilities. Waves to all.

nickstermum · 15/10/2010 18:21

Well done on achieving 17 hours in the car AR the most we have ever done is the loire valley xx

Mummy second AR what about someone over here having a copy of your notes to review or something, will people do that? On a positive note, you have blood cells, no cysts or problems other than the thin lining. How galling to have to take the pill when TTC, but if its only for one month, and if it does the job then its worth every mouthful? I hope you are ok, grit your teeth, pop the pills and think of england xxx

On another topic, my candle is ready to be lit! We had some good news at home today, which i will share with you another day when i know more, so positivity is good in this house, i hear the depression is lifting Grin

Jamface · 15/10/2010 18:56

Hello all,

Sounds intriguing nickster and am glad you have good news. Have fun house painting Hmm

mouse I too have had an ERPC and despite being mainly anxious about the GA (it was 7 weeks after a termination at 19 weeks for a lethal fetal abnormality) so in some ways I had kind of come to terms with not being pregnant any more and just wanted to get it all over with to be able to start again. As the others described op was fine, I had no pain, staff were lovely and I actually had real post op elation for a few days (before tiredness hit). So it's fine, try not to worry, and just plan lots of pampering for the next few days xx

velvet so sorry AF got you. Looks like you me and PFF are cycle buddies Smile

Mummya I'm sorry to hear about your inconclusive news. How frustrating. But at least the sonographer was able to provide some reassurance. God, this whole process demands so much patience from everyone. ((((Hugs to you))))

Sorry to not namecheck everyone but hello. Is it too early to crack open the wine? and some chocolate cake x

mousebacon · 15/10/2010 22:33

Hi everyone, another candle lit here in the North East tonight.

MummyAbroad sorry you've not had much luck with your gyne but I agree that maybe someone over here could look over your notes or even just have a chat with you? I know there are lots of specialists over here but can recommend the centre of life here in Newcastle. Alison Murdoch is the head of department there.

Thanks again for the reassurance for tomorrow. Have stocked up on mags and cheap sweets so am good to go. Thanks for the ipod tip, will pack that too.

My WTTC details are ttc#2 MC 4th October

Mucho love to all xxxx

nickstermum · 15/10/2010 22:34

Izzy what on earth am i thinking!? I did not get married in 99... infantile memory loss or moment of madness, not sure! 'twas 01

lolly yes i did indeed prop up my hips and put my legs up against the wall for an hour watching a movie! Worked the last 2 times, i recommend it! They need all the help they can get. Its just not very romantic, waving your fanjo in the air, like you just dont care!!

Anyway, off to bed. I lit my candle, had an emotional eve :((as am sure many others have also) and thought of my little bean who was called 'nugget'. xxxxxxx (named after my desire for McD;s chicken nuggets the weekend we found out, also the weekend that germany thrashed us in the WC!! Grin)

mousebacon · 15/10/2010 22:53

Err...duh! Centre of life is the jokey name we call it! It is of course the centre for life.

I am a dingbat! Blush
