Just heard from my recruiter. They have made a decision and are calling her this morning to tell her.

Thinking it won't be me though - just got a bad feeling about it. Damn!

WhyWait Remember, little ones take 9 months to cook so your financial situation could change for the better in that time.

Don't really know what the propper advice on testing is but I think most people suggest waiting until you are late rather than taking early tests, just incase you have a chemical PG. When is your AF due?

squirrel007 · 23/09/2010 11:40

Cocktails and dinner in the bar tonight sounds perfect!

nannyl sorry to hear about your dad :(

whywait I think it's normal to panic a bit! I'm already a bit nervous and we haven't started yet!!

WhyWait that sounds pretty sensible to test in CD38. Pretty exciting stuff!!!

Still waiting to hear back form the recruiter..... she was supposed to find out this morning and now it's afternoon and I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing that means it's not good news :(

I think of it more of preparing myself for bad news and then if it's good news I will be very happy.

If I get too excited about it then I will be really dissappointed if I don't get it.

There is logic in it somewhere!!!!

I haven't heard anything more so have chased the recruitment person this morning on that one. Going to apply for everything in Bath / Bristol and the close surrounds as I need to escape this place!!!!!

Forgot to say, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you js :)

WYorksLass · 23/09/2010 12:46

Congratulations on your news JBells, that's great :)

WW things sound promising for you, i've got my fingers crossed. Hopefully your finances will be sorted soon.

Bebe, great news that it's all systems go!

Thanks for the gorgeous brekkie (and waiters!) this morning, it was fab.

My OH is impossible to argue with, he usually ignores me until i stop ranting then we talk about it calmly later. I know it's the best thing but it really winds me up, daft i know! I'm bad enough with PMT so dread to think what preggie hormones will do to me. I've already warned him and apologised well in advance so should be ok :)

JustShaggingForNow · 23/09/2010 12:48

Ahhhhh - just had a text from my colleague who is on maternity leave. She gave birth yesterday evening to a little girl called Lily. SmileEnvySmile

bebejones · 23/09/2010 12:50

Oh yes, Bristol buses are bloody awful!!! USed to take me 2 buses (well over an hour) to get to University from home, when I could drive it took 15mins!!

I'm sure something will turn up JS!

WW - That does seem like a sensible idea, waiting to test. Fingers crossed for you!

Haven't thought about dinner yet...Hmm
Chicken Parfait & toast
Melon & prosciutto salad
Pan fried salmon with green beans
Summer fruit pavlova

I'm definitely a glass half empty person! If you expect the worse you can never be disappointed Hmm DH is always having a go at me for that! :o

Just been to see my friend & her 2 week old baby! Soooooooo cute....WANT ONE!

lol bebe, i'm just the same and my OH is always having a go. Apparently if i have such a negative attitude nothing good will happen!

Just had an email from the recruitment girl about the job:

"I'm afraid that we aren't going to know the outcome of this until tomorrow. * has informed me that they are still deciding, having come back in this morning from yesterdays decision. He didn't say anymore than this despite my probing.
Unfortunately this means we will have to wait until close of play tomorrow"

ARGH!!!!! I think I am going to go mad waiting to hear back from them.

WYorksLass · 23/09/2010 13:52

WW - Nothing really, i was just whinging because it's always me that has to remind DSD to brush her hair and clean her teeth and put her shoes on. I was rushing around like a nutter getting ready this morning and when i came down at the time we always leave the 2 of them were watching telly and not ready, grrrrrr. I know it's only minor and to be fair he sorted her brekkie and did the packed lunches, it's just PMT i reckon!
Fortunately we haven't argued about ttc, we are both in agreement about when we will start. In fact it was him who suggested i come off the pill to let my body get back to normal.

Grrr for you JSFN, i despise waiting, especially for important stuff like that :(

JS - how annoying! But maybe they chose the temp & they turned it down or majorly cocked something up, it might not be a bad thing!

WW - DSD doesn't live with us all the time but we have her once midweek and every other weekend. Fortunately we get on very well. She was 5 (now 8) when we got together so quite a good age. I do find it quite tricky sometimes but we manage ok.

I came off the pill in August and we are going to start TTC at the end of Nov, after our wedding. So double excitement :)
