Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your DH AC and his comments. Hope you can talk it through properly at some point.

Congrats on the job jbells, hopefully you can get a few extra hours as well. I know it's horrible to talk about things some times, but glad you managed to.

Quod sorry about your dog :(

I'm pretty sure I have now passed (note passed and not missed we have been DTD) my window of opportunity for conceiving now although my temp isn't showing it, so I don't fecking know, I must admit due to shift work temping isn't the most successful thing for me.... unless of course I haven't ovulated yet, but (TMI alert) I had EWCM last week and loads on Saturday and none now, so unless (and I know it can happen with iregular cycles) I'm going to get it again then I am probably in my 2WW. Confused It's kind of weird to think if I have ovulated then there is possibly a little egg and sperm combo hopefully making it's way to it's future home, and there is nothing I can possibly do to help it along, but also likewise there could be nothing and I could be getting AF in 2 weeks. Man alive I want it so badly.

Anyway, we have now made an official announcement about the engagement so I can wear my necklace and show it off :) I've had mixed reactions to the fact I've not got a ring, but I don't care, because it's a personal preference. Sadly though the camera doesn't take a good picture of it so I can't put one up to show you.

Names for the new thread???

I think In it together needs to be the main part of the thread, do you agree?

JustShaggingForNow · 16/11/2010 09:41

morning 100
Very exciting times for you what with the 2WW and the engagement announcement!!! We'll all keep you sane in the next 2 weeks and I am keeping everything crossed for you that you fall this month!

I wouldn't worry about the mixed reactions to your engagement symbol. As long as you love it, it doesn't really matter. I think whatever you have people will always have something to say about it!!!

100years · 16/11/2010 09:50

Thanks JS, Sanity may need to be kept. OH keeps pointing out that no matter what we do with regards to the wedding side of things there will be someone who will either disagree, get offended, make 'better suggestions' etc etc etc, I kind of think we should run away LOL

How are you doing?

bebejones · 16/11/2010 09:54

100 - Glad it is all 'official' now! As long as you love your necklace that's what counts, you are the one who has to wear it! I had mixed reactions about my engagement ring, it's quite unusual, it's a sapphire with diamonds in two rows down the band. People were a bit Hmm about it but I love it and that's all that matters! Not wearing it at the moment & that makes me feel a bit :( but I've lost so much weight that it just falls off & I'd hate to lose it!
V exciting about 2ww!! Eeeeek! Come on lucky train!! :o

How about:
All aboard the looney express, next stop 'the madhouse'! Waiters, TTCers & Successes IIT

or something like that?

Another reasonable busy day in my not so glamourous life! At least I don't have to unblock the loo today! That was my greatest achievement yesterday! Hmm Picking up DHs sisters from their school bus was a taste of my future I think! (Quite liked it! Shhhhhhh!! Wink)

That's part of the reason a necklace suits me better, I am trying to lose weight, I would a) have to get it specially made to fit me now, then resized when I have lost some weight and possibly resized again, it's mucho pain in the arse, and I can wear my necklace and not lose it if I lose weight.

I like the title, but by calling it the looney express are we not just playing into the hands of the people who call us looneys?

Mmm unblocking the loo, that sounds just flipping great - NOT I remember having to help do it a few times when I used to live in the countryside. Never flush anything other than tissue and body functions down the loo now.

Possibly?

Waiting, TTC, duffed up we're all In It Together, the journey from eggs to babies.

100years · 16/11/2010 10:17

WhyWait, well we want to buy a house next year and if this whole TTC thing works out then we will have a bambino coming at some point, so next year is a no anyway, so it's either the following year or beginning of 2013, which although that sounds FAR away, it actually isn't. We will be having it somewhere quite far away from where we live now, because we have more friends up north than around here, so that's going to make a bit of a scene when I tell family, but it is OUR wedding and we will chose where we want :)

Excellent news about sharing my 2WW, lets cross our fingers together.

JustShaggingForNow · 16/11/2010 12:16

Heya allbebe I really quite like the "Looney Express" title......... Sod the other NMers who look don't on us for chatting about waiting. Is it any more mad then 32 threads about the delights of RPatz?!?!? (don't get me wrong, I'm all for appreciation fothe male form but 32 threads.....!!!)

bebejones · 16/11/2010 12:26

Was embracing the 'looney' tag, in a 'if you can't beat 'em join 'em' sort of approach! Wink DH always says is people take the piss out of you you should join in, nothing guaranteed to annoy them more! :o

100 - I didn't think that far ahead when i got my rings! Is a pain because my wedding ring was made to fit round my engagement ring, so re-sizing them is gonna cost a fortune! :( DH wanted to wait when we were 'officially' engaged, he was over ruled by me & my mum! :o I figured we had been together 5 years & I couldn't wait forever! Sounds all too familiar again re DC2! Hmm

WW - It's her down to eathness (not a word is it, but YKWIM) that I love about her. No airs and graces. Think the paps are just so awful as well! Grrrrr!

100/WW so excited for you both on 2ww! :o

eveing all
very Envy of you both on your 2WW. Wishing you both the best of luck though Smile, and next month it will (fingers crossed) be me on my 2ww!

AC sorry to read that you OH is being silly... cnat get how having a baby is loke having a porsch? Hmm

I had a pretty rubbish day yesturday, and so did OH, but today has been much better.

Our kindergarten class are running a cake sale for children in need on Friday (whole school invited!!!!) so we have been baking all day and its been great fun Smile

I only lost 1lB last week but considering i went out for dinner twice (italian and indian) and had fish N chips from the chippy im happy. Thats 5lb gone now and im being very good and fingers crossed i might make it to half a stone next week?

Im only being super good until Im TTC so that fact its only 4 more weeks with a definite end in sight is helping me stick to it more i think. Smile

JustShaggingForNow · 17/11/2010 10:50

bebejones · 17/11/2010 11:22

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JS!! :o Hope your supper & drinkies are lovely! How many days with the BFH have you got left now?

Have dipped a toe into the September bus thread. I shall not be deserting you guys though! Not even 100% sure I'll be on that bus! Confused

Weather here is horrid today! Cold, windy & really wet! YUK! Been to toddler group with DD & fully intend not to leave the house again today.

Nannyl - well done on weight loss! I'm struggling at the moment. I'm sure a definite on the TTC would spur me on, but I just need to corner DH when he has had a good day...not easy! Bet you are crossing off the days until you TTC?! Wink

Hello all

Happy Birthday JS - hope you have a really great day. Might it be your last birthday in London?

Not so much fun here. We had the vet round to put the dog to sleep this morning. It was clearly her time, the sparkle had totally gone out of her. Kind of feels like a relief now it's finally done, but terribly terribly sad nonetheless. Awful to see my dad so upset in particular. The vet and the nurse were truly lovely women though.

I'm now possibly flooded in - the trains are down in this part of Cornwall and I'm not sure whether I'm going to make it back to London this pm. Brought a lot of work down to do, but it's quite hard to concentrate tbh.

bebejones · 17/11/2010 11:43

delightful & to...DD jumping on me! Sorry!

Hiya WW, temp was definitely high this morning, more than any other day this cycle including the one when I took it after going to the bathroom, so that kind of confirms my 2WW diagnosis yesterday!

Hormones are driving me crazy at the moment. I have this massive happy thing going on - engagement - and yet my head is swimming the wrong way and I feel a bit of a bitch for crying!

Hugs for Quod.

Happy birthday JS

JustShaggingForNow · 17/11/2010 14:21

Oh quod massive hugs for you.
WYorkslass O.M.G - only 10 days to go now, that has gone really fast. You are going to have ana amazing day :)

Bebe Looking forward to the Westcountry Weather. We should try and arrange to have post work drinks one evening in Brizzle if you fancy it and can persuade Dh to babysit!?
