Hi I'm new to the conception boards. Is anyone else planning to start ttc in November or december and wants to join me on a new thread?
DS has an appointment at GOSH on 25 November, we are waiting to get that out of the way before ttc number 2!

Thanks louby, hopefully you will get AF soon, then you can properly start ttc. Did you finish the last pack of pills or stop taking them mid-cycle?

BlueFergie · 10/12/2010 14:05

Hi again everyone. Well nothing going this cycle for me. Got AF on day 36. It was very light (for me) but there you go. On day 10 of next cycle so we will give it another whirl this month.

Oh well fingers crossed again.

chocolatebuttontheif · 10/12/2010 20:00

Sorry bluefergie. Good luck for all of us this month!

louby86 · 11/12/2010 10:48

chocolatebutton I finished the whole pack because I thought it would mess me about if I didn't. I think I'm just starting to get a bit impatient with it all, either give me AF now or tell me I'm pregnant now!!! haha

jaggythistle · 11/12/2010 11:08

Hey ladies. not been on this thread for ages, hope everyone is well.

Now on the September bus, after a brief trip on the July one and a whirl on the August one too! Grin

tallulahpolly · 12/12/2010 15:32

Shame,AF arrived yesterday. No christmas news for the family. Still, enjoying SWI!! Hi louby, I finished mid pack. started trying straight away. I have no idea what my cycle will be like after so long on the pill. Good luck jaggy.

GrownupsLikeQuiet · 12/12/2010 17:15

[waves feebly from post lurgy house]

Sorry to hear that Tallula. Hello Louby and Jaggy.

I'm on CD24, AF due around Thursday. Would be amazed if it happened this month as not really been applying myself due to family lurgy. Having said that I'm keeping everything crossed because I have had much more sore boobs than normal. Resisting the First Response urge (for the time being) Xmas Grin

chocolatebuttontheif · 12/12/2010 18:21

Sorry tallulah.

I'm now on CD17. I haven't had an OPK yet so it doesn't look like I'll ovulate in my first month. I did have some spotting on Thursday though, not sure whether I should trust cheap eBay tests or not!

chocolatebuttontheif · 12/12/2010 18:23

Sorry, a positive OPK yet. Babies on the brain! Xmas Blush

chocolatebuttontheif · 13/12/2010 15:47

I think I might be ovulating! I have EWCM and just done an OPK. The line wasn't quite darker than the control line but was the darkest I've had, so surely more of the HG hormone than usual?! Shame tesco is coming tonight!

I'm a bit useless at this, is there any way I can predict when my period will be due? I'm on CD 19 btw, if that has any relevance?

Thanks in advance ladies.

Hils74 · 13/12/2010 20:40

I've been counting the days, normally 27 in my cycle

Good luck!

louby86 · 14/12/2010 12:57

Hello everyone! Well is been 2 and a half weeks now and no sign of AF. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a normal cycle after coming off the mini pill? I was on the combined pill before but that made me really bad and it took me 10 months to get sorted last time! Thanks everyone

Hils74 · 14/12/2010 19:08

Lots of confusion in our house, spotting two weeks ago appears to be AF two weeks early and instead of AF now I have EWCM!!

No idea what's going on any more :)

chocolatebuttontheif · 14/12/2010 22:11

Hils just go with it, plenty of SWI!

Louby sorry I can't help but try google?

GrownupsLikeQuiet · 15/12/2010 20:12

Looks like I'm going to have a sober Christmas after all - got a BFP this morning [THUD]!!!! I'm in shock Xmas Grin

cwytt · 15/12/2010 20:23

Hi All,

I've been trying since the end of Sept, I was taking Cerezette for about six months and other pills for about 10 years. Am I wrong to be worried that I haven't conceived yet as you hear people that fall straight away and whilst on the pill.

frog1 · 15/12/2010 20:32

Hi All,

I'm 30 and have been trying to conceive since end of Sept. I was taking Cerezette for about 6 months and the other pills for around 10 years plus. Am I wrong to be worried that nothings happended straight away? It makes you wonder when people fall very early and some whilst taking the pill.

Thanks

Hils74 · 15/12/2010 20:58

Congrats GrownupsLikeQuiet!!

Don't be worried yet frog1, I've been trying for 3 mths after 20 yrs on the pill. My sis got pg straight away after coming off so its different for everyone.

louby86 · 15/12/2010 21:41

Congrats GrownupsLikeQuiet!!! Grin

chocolatebuttontheif · 15/12/2010 21:48

Congratulations grownups!

frog1 I wouldn't worry too much just yet, gps won't even take you seriously unless you've been ttc for a year.

100years · 16/12/2010 13:05

Oh huge congrats Grownups. Enjoy watching all around you get pissed and then reminding them of what they did!!!

I'll probably be only having a drink on either christmas or boxing day as I will be in my 2ww then, and don't want to have a load to drink just in case!

Gigi26 · 16/12/2010 15:40

Hello ladies Xmas Smile

I've just started ttc number 1. Very excited as DH and I have been ready for over a year but I had to have a myomectomy (fibroids) in the summer and then wait to recover...

I've got a pretty irregular cycle - anywhere between 27 and 32 days - so no idea when the best days to try are, or if it's worth getting an OPK yet.

Everyone says not to think about it and just let nature take its course but I can't help it. :)

Anyway, congrats GrownupsLikeQuiet and fingers crossed for the rest of us!!

chocolatebuttontheif · 16/12/2010 17:58

Hi gigi. I got cheap ovulation sticks from eBay, they seem to be ok. Also there are still symptoms you can look out for, check out the ovulation section on here (on right).

I think AF is due around the 28th, so will do a test on 24th just to check before Xmas drinking!

GrownupsLikeQuiet · 16/12/2010 21:00

Thanks everyone. I'm still stunned - its such a fluke - with everyone being ill etc I was convinced we missed the boat. Not sure whether to tell anyone at Christmas - its still very early days. On the other hand lack of drinking will be a dead give away and I'm useless at keeping quiet Xmas Grin

100years · 17/12/2010 11:38

Grownups, be in charge of your drink and always fill it up just before it gets too low so no one can ask if you want a refill, just pretend it's spritzer or something like that I suppose.

Welcome Gigi and good luck.

button theif I think AF for me is due anytime after the 28th, I probably won't be testing prior to Christmas, I don't drink a lot anyway so I think even if I was there wouldn't be much change in what I did, as in I would have the odd one but that's probably it.
