Hi I'm new to the conception boards. Is anyone else planning to start ttc in November or december and wants to join me on a new thread?
DS has an appointment at GOSH on 25 November, we are waiting to get that out of the way before ttc number 2!

Thanks MBJ and southwold! Am worrying about PCOS - probably prematurely, but mainly because I've struggled with problem skin since I was a teenager and did have irregular periods before going on the pill (I think - it's been ten years!). Nice to know that it's possible to be a little irregular and still be ovulating...

monkeybubbles · 12/11/2010 10:11

yay, i've never been excited to get my period before, but this means it's come back (after 6 years on the mini pill and no period at all!) and i can officially start TTC!

100years, i know exactly how that one feels, im just a mess of contradictions in a dress at the moment. Happy/sad, excited/nervous.

I have so much love to give and i am ready for that step now, have been for a while, but me and DP have spent a while talking about it, making sure we are ready, emotionally, financially and more important between us and our relationship. I just can't wait to get implant out in next few days!! So yeah TTC in Nov/Dec

Does it sound selfish to really want a boy though?

100years · 12/11/2010 12:29

Nope, I don't think so, I know people say they don't care what sex they have and I'm sure when it comes down to it they don't, but I reckon some people do have an actual preference even if only slight. I know I would love whatever sex I had if/when I get pg, but if you asked me now I would say I want a girl!

InnocentRedhead · 12/11/2010 13:52

Oh, of course i would be exstatic with any gender, and yeah, it is only a slight preference.

All i really want is a happy healthy baby. Good luck hun!

prettywoman · 12/11/2010 18:06

asouthwoldmummy · 12/11/2010 18:45

Fantastic prettywoman, congratulations!!!

I done 3 tests when I got pregnant with DS! I didn't quite believe it until I done a clearblue digital, and actually saw the word pregnant! The first two were just cheapy ones though and obviously worked.

Oooh yay southwold, fingers crossed you like it.

Thanks both :)

rachk32 · 13/11/2010 22:22

hi there, id like to join if you all dont mind. I suffered a mmc, 7 weeks ago.
It was my first pregnancy, got married in may got pregnant in june, couldnt of even planned it better if we,d tried. Was 13 weeks with baby measuring only 8 so all very sad, well devestating really and am still metally recovering even though physically i feel back to my old self again.
Our plans are to try again in decemeber as ive had to have my mmr vaccination due to being found none immune during my late pregnancy.
Is there any tips that you ladies can offer?
Thanks in advance for your help. X

Ilovekittyelise · 14/11/2010 09:10

Hi ladies

I just saw this thread, I'm also on the clearblue digital buddies thread. I had a termination at 13 weeks back in august (very sick baby) and been mentally and physically all over the place;

Life seems to suddenly have fallen into place so we decided the time was right to start trying again....sort of thought it might be nice to have a BFP for christmas but you never know with this game how long it will take...

rachk32 its nice to see you here it sounds like you had a similar experience, got pregnant right away couldnt believe your luck etc and then it all went wrong; I hope you have better luck this time, fast BFP and an uncomplicated and enjoyable pregnancy

Liz xxx

asouthwoldmummy · 14/11/2010 13:35

Rachk32- I'm afraid I can't offer any advice but I'm really sorry, and for you ilovekitty. I can only imagine how devastating losing a pregnancy must be.

Hopefully you both go on to have healthy pregnancies, best of luck x

Hi all! Am new to MN and started TTC this month having been on pill for 13 years. Desperate to be pg but all friends managed it in about 24hours and am so worried I will be the one who struggles. DH has been keen for ever (we got married in July) but I have waited for "right time" in career. That time is definately not now, but don't care any more! Not sure how to fill in my "stats"? Confused

Hils74 · 17/11/2010 19:02

Congrats prettywoman!!

2nd month of TTC and AF arrived yesterday so will have to keep trying :(

My sis had her baby girl last Fri and now everyone else seems to be 3 mths...

MummyBerryJuice · 17/11/2010 19:45

Hi everyone. Just checking in. Temperature measurements not going well as DS has come down with a horrendous cold and we are therefore not getting much sleep meaning that I keep forgetting to take temp (and it wouldn't be much use as I haven't had 3 hours sleep together for 4 nights now Sad)

No other news. How is everyone else doing?

asouthwoldmummy · 17/11/2010 22:40

Sorry hills.

I have 4 pills left so not long for us before ttc now. We've had an offer accepted on a house this week though!

MBJ - hope he gets better soon!

ChateauMargot · 18/11/2010 14:43

Great news, southwold!

I think I've probably hit a fertile phase this week - managed a fair bit of action (ahem) with DH over the weekend and on Monday, but he's been too knackered since then, poor dear (work to blame, not me!). So am hoping that what we managed earlier in the week was enough...and may try for one last hurrah tomorrow, just in case there's still time.

As usual, though, AF could be a week away if sh'es behaving, or two weeks if not - it's the guessing that kills me!
