Hi I'm new to the conception boards. Is anyone else planning to start ttc in November or december and wants to join me on a new thread?
DS has an appointment at GOSH on 25 November, we are waiting to get that out of the way before ttc number 2!

Well I'm almost certain I'm well into my 2WW now, it's driving me nuts!!! I'm definitely symptom spotting, but so far I've not had any symptoms I didn't have before my last AF, apart from the proper crying melt down I had the other day, but then I had that a few months ago as well, so nothing out of the ordinary!

Magen · 19/11/2010 19:42

Hi everyone this is my first message. I am 31 and TTC#2. It took 2 years to get our daughter because I had crazy irregular cycles. I am 4 months off BCP and it seems like my cycle is around 38 days. I have been trying to use my saliva scope and cm to predict o, but the scope only showed partial ferning even though I had ewcm. DH and I DTD everyday for a week so I feel I have given it my best shot. Only time will tell. I thought I would be more relaxed since it's #2, but I am just worried it will take forever again...or worse, that it won't happen at all. It's good to know I am not alone in my obsessive thoughts.

ChateauMargot · 19/11/2010 19:57

Sympathies, 100years! Sounds as if we're in the same boat. Fingers crossed for us both..!

Welcome to the club, Magen! May I ask what finally worked for you the first time around? Here's to a quicker result this time :)

Magen · 19/11/2010 20:04

Hey ChateauMargot,
My dr. put me on provera to try and get my cycles regular. They were anywhere from two weeks to four months long! But he didn't give me much instructions on how long to wait before taking the next round of meds and I was frustrated. I made an appointment with another dr. and threw away my provera. That month I got pregnant, but I never had a cycle on my own. Hope it wasn't a fluke.

Hi Magen and Grownups.

Magen - we took 2 years to conceive DS. Hopefully we'll both be quicker this time!

100 years, hows the 2WW going for you? Today marks the start of mine. Feeling a little bloated but probably just imagined. Either way I am relieved to at least have a break from BD. Haven't done it that much in a row since I was a newlywed!

brokeoven · 20/11/2010 15:15

2ww here too.
my boobs are SO sore i want to cry.

But then i have sore boobs every month,( not like this though)

Not sure when af is due as i have stopped even looking at the calendar.

For the 1st time, this month i got a positive line on the ovulation indicator stick. So we went at it.
Strangely i have awful ovulation pains each month. but its alwasy negative.

better sit tight i spose SmileSad

Arabella36 · 21/11/2010 08:55

Good luck Brokeoven!

asouthwoldmummy · 21/11/2010 12:33

I've taken my last pill this morning. Just waiting for AF then we can start ttc!

100years · 21/11/2010 19:02

Hiya,

Sorry was away then night, so only just checking in.

The 2WW is going as follows.
So far I have had:
2 days of mood swings
3 days of sore breasts getting worse
3 or 4 days of nausea
2 days of tiredness
2 days of mild stomach discomfort like period pains.

I have had the sore breasts, the nausea and mood swings before. The tiredness is accounted by the fact I finished nights yesterday. The weird mild stomach pains are what I think is a new thing, but that means nothing, I think I am more aware of all the symptoms so probably more aware of what possibly could be happening! I am trying to not over think them all and put 2 + 2 together to make a baby, have another week or so of waiting to find out one way or the other.

ChateauMargot · 22/11/2010 13:44

Fingers crossed for you, 100years! I've had zero symptoms so far, with about a week to go before I can test. And now seem to be coming down with a cold... :(

BlueFergie · 23/11/2010 20:40

Hi all,
Have not checked in in a while. Well into my 2ww as well. in fact should be at the end but it is hard to tell because I came off the pill, so who knows when I ovulated? Didn't do any sticks or anything.
Anyway on a conventional 28 day cycle AF was due on Sun. Still no sign so will test tomorrow. Not too hopeful as for DD I came off pill too and it took ages for test to come up positive even though period was a few weeks late. Obviously I ws on a really long cycle then.
Anyway fingers crossed for us all on the 2ww.

TaylorSatsuma · 24/11/2010 15:15

Can I join? We've been thinking about TTC#1 for ages but trying to plan it around work so that DC appears in the autumn term rather than just before the summer holidays (like that's going to go to plan...!). I've got 4 more days on the pill then will stop. However am now getting a bit worried that I should have planned this better... it never occurred to me to come off the pill earlier to let things settle down! Now worried it's going to take us ages... Have taken heart from the people who it only took a couple of weeks after coming off the pill... I suppose you can't predict it! Am hoping because I had very regular cycles before that it will return fast - it did when I forgot to take pill twice in a row last year anyway!

nannyl · 24/11/2010 17:46

hello

just wanted to wave to you all.

Our contraception is now in the bin (for the rest of this cycle) and will be TRYING in about 3 weeks time

am very very excited as have been waiitng to try for more than 6 months now

BlueFergie · 24/11/2010 21:12

Well did the test and it was negative. BOO. Still no sign of AF though so am obviously on a 30+ day cycle either way. If I ovulated late then it is too early to show up on pregnanacy test so I'll give it a week and try again...or more likely I'll stock up on tests and try everyday!!

asouthwoldmummy · 24/11/2010 21:40

Sorry bluefergie, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though.

Hi to Satsuma and nannyl.

AF due tomorrow. It's the first time I'm looking forward to it. CD1 of my first non-pill cycle then ttc! Finally!

OP posts:
ChateauMargot · 25/11/2010 10:40

Sorry bluefergie - and welcome, satsuma and nannyl!

I think I'm on a long cycle this time around - for the first time ever I paid enough attention to the signs to figure out (I think) when I'm most likely to have ovulated, and judging by that I have another week until AF. Good thing, too, or else I'd be testing like a crazy woman right now!

GrownupsLikeQuiet · 25/11/2010 11:30

Sorry BlueFergie. Hello nannyl and Satsuma.

I'm on CD7 of first full cycle after having my coil removed. Trying to decide whether to TTC this month or wait until after next AF so my cycle can get back to normal. Before the coil my cycle was 28 days regular, but last month was about 33 days. Hmmm, what to do. Might just start practicing and see what happens Grin Wink

kateAmyJ · 25/11/2010 13:18

Hope everyone is feeling ok. Sorry to hear that BlueFergie Hopefully you will have good new shortly.

No harm in practicing Gwownups :o

kateAmyJ · 25/11/2010 13:18

oops sp....Grownups

GrownupsLikeQuiet · 25/11/2010 18:32

Are you alright Kate? You seem to have developed a lisp Grin hehehe

Hils74 · 25/11/2010 21:39

Sorry BlueFergie

Now on CD9 of third month of TTC, didn't OV last month so fingers crossed for this month!

So I think we're going to go for the practicing all month and see what happens in 3 wks

ChateauMargot · 30/11/2010 08:56

So, November results must be coming in soon, eh peeps? I tested today (on CD 34 and cycles have been 35 days on average) but BPN Sad

Am consoling myself that it means I can go out for a nice big mug of coffee this afternoon (and drinks tomorrow) with no worries - though I'd still rather it was the other way around...

Magen · 30/11/2010 17:19

Sorry to hear that Chateau, but it's not really over until AF arrives. I had a BFN on Friday and on Monday got a BFP! The only clue I had was I started seeing ferns again on my saliva scope so I saw that as a reason to test again. I don't really need much of one as I am a testing junkie Smile Good luck to everyone, I have my fingers crossed for you all!
