Hi all,
I just went to post on the old thread and noticed it had been locked, so here is a new one!
Come on in!

OP posts:
pumpkinjoy · 09/03/2011 14:24

Thanks for the welcome Nooknook

Had my IUI on monday-2nd attempt since MMC. Had ovitrelle shot which will stay in my system and could show a false BFP-don't know much about this but at least it will put me off testing too early and going psychotic!!

At work now so sneeking this in-hope all is good with everyone.

delilahbelle · 09/03/2011 15:53

Hey all
Well I am into the 1ww, and veer between being hopeful I am, and convinced I am not updiffed. I had a chem preg last year, my main symptoms were increased hunger, sore boobs and being thirsty. I have all of these on and off, but they are also my pre AF symptoms. I just have to hope they don't stop. Still have a cold nd sore throat, hope that doesn't affect anything :(

Welcome doe and pumpkin I've heard it takes 10 days for the trigger shot to leave your system. So you have a little while to wait. I'm finding keeping myself busy is working well!

at everyone else.

Keziahhopes · 09/03/2011 23:56

Hello and welcome pumpkinjoy and DoeADeer.

Pumpkinjoy - glad you are not tempted to test early, but hope your 2ww goes quickly for you!

Delilah - hope cold not getting worse for you, so you feel ok. All the best with rest of the ww.

Scan on Friday for us, and I am feeling a bit shaky about the fact there may be no follicles/eggs, as I don't feel any different and I guess after the struggle to get to this stage am apprehensive about it stopping due to it not working. Irrational, I know [hmm[

DoeADeer · 10/03/2011 13:15

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the welcome! Good luck with the scan tomorrow, Keziahhopes. I'll be scanning on Saturday morning, and other than being bloated from all the milk I'm drinking, I don't feel any different either.
Mind you, DH might disagree - he says these treatments turn me into a complete loonie.

shirleycat1 · 10/03/2011 13:27

Punpkin - hope you're feeling OK.

Keziah - Did you have the scan?

Deliah - not long now. You Ok?

Hey everyone,

I am so stressed. After my last random period I was told to wait until day 35, if no af to take Provera to induce it. I have took Provera loads of times and always come on 3 days after finishing it. Anyway, I took Provera, expecting to come on on Tuesday and to start down regging, and no af. Called clinic and they said wait as it may just come a bit later, but I don;t see why it would, as it never has done before, and I don't feel the slightest leastest bit pre menstrual.

I felt like a had a plan and knew what was happening when and now it's all gone to shit and I'm not sure what the hell's going on. I have to wait until Monday and then call the clinic back. I'm sick of all this! (Boo hoo, feeling sorry for myself moticom)

pumpkinjoy · 11/03/2011 08:35

Hi everyone

Thanks for the hearty welcome. Well I am trying to keep busy after my IUI on monday but it's not really helping. Think I am going slightly crazy-I had ovitrelle and wanted to see if it was still in my system so took HPT! On wednesday it was and yesterday only faintly. Am now worried as I'd heard it should linger for 10 days at least. Obsessed!!! Am looking forward to a weekend of pampering as am going to visit my dad for the weekend while my DH goes on a boys' jaunt!

Kesiah I really hope the scan goes well today.

Shirley Any news yet-I can undersatnd how frustrated you feel as you just want to get on with it.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

delilahbelle · 11/03/2011 08:45

Hi all

Short as I am on my phone... Today I am 10days past EC and am fighting the urge to test. Can see myself caving tomorrow. No symptoms still, so I am veering between hopeful and despairing. The 2WW is so bloody hard.

womanlytales · 11/03/2011 14:08

Hi everyone, just wanted to share a quick update... given my mammoth long periods..finally I am on day one and start my fsh injections (part of IUI treatement) tomorrow. Am excited and also a bit anxious. Any advice on what I can do / not do? I did get adviced to not run...but I can't imagine not running... it's what is keeping me sane amidst this fertility disaster I am living...so instead of running 6-8km, I am scaling it down to a jog for about 3-4km.... What do you think? Is that really tempting the fates? I am not a health freak...just very very prone to being overweight thanks to pcos and my addiction to easy sugars.... SO running is more like a lifeline ..without it, I think I might just shoot over the obese part of the weighing scale... I know I sound quite a woose if I can't stick to the good and narrow related to food... Sigh.

Sorry a few of you are struggling with the 2ww - - I hear you on how crazy that can be. Stay strong and delay that testing as much as you can. If you do test, roll with the results, so to speak... Onwards and Upwards.

Keziahhopes · 11/03/2011 21:07

Shirley - hope af comes soon for you!
Pumpkin - hope you can enjoy your weekend of pampering so you nicely distracted!

Delilah - ooh, not long to go now Grin!

womanly - have no idea about running, am afraid. I know athletes still jog when pregnant, but guess it is doing what is good for you overall.

The scan went ok, I think. Not sure what should have happened, as first stimming scan (day 8) - had 5 follicles that they could measure, but none big enough yet, and some small ones (don't know how many), so continue with same injections and hope the small ones get bigger and others get to whatever size they need to be. Have a day 11 scan to check growth, and if that is ok I guess the pregyl injection sometime that day.

Italiangreyhound · 12/03/2011 10:37

Pumpkin hello and welcome, sorry I missed you off when I welcomed someone else!
Apologies.

Womanly I would personally ask the clinic what they think. There are probably varying opinions about exercise so see if you can get a general idea from the nurses/docs. It may be that just for a while you need to do a general idea from of exercise, walking or jogging or swimming. I am sure if you are used to exercise that you could do something but what that would be, I don?t know.
Good luck.

womanlytales · 12/03/2011 11:40

Thanks Italian and kezia.

delilahbelle · 12/03/2011 18:25

Not doing so good today. 9dp2dt, and I'm having some brown spotting. I have no real symptoms, and really think it might be over :( Going to rest, try and relax, and keep up with the pessaries until I test.

Not feeling positive though.

Italiangreyhound · 12/03/2011 21:05

Try not to worry, spotting does not mean it is all over. Hugs to you delilahbelle.

delilahbelle · 13/03/2011 09:20

Hey all

womanly what have you decided about exercise? I have not been to the gym since I started stimming, but if this works out really want to get an exercise routine going again.

pumpkin hope you had a nice relaxing weekend. When are you planning to test?

Italian thanks for the reassurance. The spotting has stopped, but I am now 10dp2dt with no symptoms at all. Too scared to test... 4 more sleeps to go.

Keziah good luck with your next scan, I'm guessing it's tomorrow? I hope those follicles have grown well.

Shirley any sign of the missing AF? I hope your body does it's thing and you don't need to call the clinic tomorrow.

Doe how did the scan yesterday go? All good I hope.

at anyone else reading this.

AFM, the only symptoms I have are cold symptoms, my cough has gone to my chest and I am coughing up gunk. Lovely. Official test day is Thursday, but we plan to test Tuesday when I will be 14dpo. Please cross your fingers for me!

shirleycat1 · 13/03/2011 11:08

Womanly - I exercised all the way through my first round of IVF and subsequent pregnancy - I cycled up to the gym the day I gave birth in fact. I did tone stuff down a bit though, and tried to do less impact stuff like running and more cycling/cross training. I guess you have to do what's right for you. Personally I'd go mad if I couldn't exercise, but I think you need to give your body all the energy it can get for making eggs and stuff as well so it's just trying to find the balance that's right for you. Loads of "normal" people manage to get pregnant and continue with exercise.

Deliah - It's the toughest 2 weeks isn't it. But not long now. Don't worry about spotting - it doesn't mean anything. And don't worry too much about symptoms. Loads of people don't get any symptoms for ages, if at all, , certainly not when they're a couple of weeks pregnant. Relax on the weekend. Is dp being useful?

Keziah - hope the follicles have grown. Keep us informed.

Italian - how you doing?

Punpkin - did you enjoy pampering?

I'm OK. Still no af. Boo. Hopefully I'll get some answers tomorrow from clinic. Had major pukefest here yesterday with DS sick all over everywhere. So been washing washing washing and managed to fit in some wine last night as I REALLY felt the need to relax in the way that only nice red wine can do.

Hello everyone...

Italiangreyhound · 14/03/2011 00:01

delilahbelle good luck for when you test.

womanly I think one of the things about assisted conception is that it is not quite the normal route so although in 'normal? life people get pregnant when pissed etc and exercising etc and all the rest, if you are having IVF, which costs a bomb and is emotionally and physically draining, you just want to make sure you have given it your best shot. If, like some people, you have little chance of getting pregers without it, it would be a shame to have any regrets afterwards so I would just advise you to find out what the experts say regarding exercise and then to decide what you want to do. I think a lot of it may depend on what you have done before, can cope with the physical exertion! The way it was put to me was that you did not want to do anything that would mean you wondered if you had stopped something happening, e.g. digging out the fish pond, which I think I told you before. So I guess at the end of the day it will be your choice but do speak to the docs.

Keziah how goes it?

Lissy are you all recovered now?

Rowing How are you?

Choco are you still looking in on us?

Shirley, DoeADeer, Val, Late, Nook, Pumpkin, Horton and all - hugs and baby dust.

shirleycat1 · 14/03/2011 18:53

Good advice Italian...

Keziahhopes · 14/03/2011 19:50

Hi, have 7 follicles measuring 14-20mm so egg collection on Wed. Have 4 smaller follies. Worried that the ones below 17 will not grow. Worried I don't have enough follicles to have enough eggs to give a chance to fertilise. I guess as first cycle these worries are normal, but they are still there.

sorry not to namecheck bit stressed. x

Italiangreyhound · 14/03/2011 20:05

Keziah your full name is Keziah hopes not Keziah worried! Do you know who Keziah was in the Bible? I hope you will find this whole process totally rewarding, 7 is a special number! All the best. Hugs Wink

Italiangreyhound · 15/03/2011 00:48

Did anyone watch One born every minute tonight? The mad who said to his wife/partner in labour about slicing and dicing and his fear being something would happen to her and he would be left holding the baby! I would have clobbered him one!

I felt quite sad for the 18 year old. Can't imagine my dd arriving pregers at 18, I mean she seemed very happy with baby and all but it's very early, or seems so to me. The nurses with her were brilliant.

Love and hugs to all

Italiangreyhound · 15/03/2011 00:48

That sound be the man, no the mad, !!!

pumpkinjoy · 15/03/2011 17:47

Hi all-I had a lovely weekend away with good ol' daddy spoiling me! Back to reality now. Am away this weekend too to stay with a friend who's baby is due next month (her first round of IVF after TTC 3 years)We are very close and have been each others saviour in RL when other friends have not always been so supportive get pregnant just at the drop of a hat

Am due to test on monday as 14 days post IUI-very tempted to test friday before I go so my DH is present (My good friend's house is full to the brim with preg tests!) However if its negative I know I will be devestated (anyway) and then will play the monthly game of 'it's too early-it wouldn't show up yet anyway' SO WHAT'S THE BLOODY POINT AND WHY DO I DO IT????!!!! I just want to know I guess, as am so impatient. Also kidding myself to positivity as scan showed 3 follicles-19mm,20mm and 26mm so think I have better chance. Also got ovitrelle. Am convinced have failed again as only little symptoms- weeing alot, lots of CM and terrible heartburn/indigestion. Am on progesterone supps so I put it down to that.

Kessiah try not to worry and best of luck for EC tomorrow.

Italian you don't need to apologise-I remember you from my being on here before-Hows it going with you?

Delilah Any news?-hope you are okay and sending you hugs.

Shirley Any sign of AF? This process is so damn frustrating.

Sending my love to all and everyone else I've missed. It really helps to write all these things down and know you are there to help-It nearly stops me going loopy!!

xx

NookNook · 15/03/2011 23:16

Hey Italian thanks for the name check!

I'm just sitting tight until my first injection on Friday! Eek!

Delilah how goes it? Thinking of you. X

Italiangreyhound · 16/03/2011 00:37

Yes, dear Pumpkinjoy thought I recognised the name. I have been on her for ages, since 05/01/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, feeling fine. Not too worried. Struggling with this whole weight loss thing. It seems to be two steps forward, two steps back, or even worse, one step forward and two steps back. What I think is weird is that I don?t do the typical thing, diet, lose, put on then put even more on, and I don?t just lose, I lose then go right back to where I was, I mean to the bloody pound! What is going on? Really want to give t my best shot for May! Have had problems with DD behaviour of late but it is improving. She would make a fab big sister and I really keen to give her the longed-for ?sibling even though I feel very old at 46 to be doing this!

Londonlottie, Horton and Choco are you still looking in on us?

Rowing How goes it?

Keziah, Val, Late and Lissy - hugs.

LissySilver · 17/03/2011 10:45

Hi everyone!

Sorry not to name check....

Hope everyone is doing well, wishing those of you DR/Stimming/testing the very best of luck. Really keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

Recovering nicely, though still working on getting my stamina back. Hawaii in ten days!!

In the meantime, still lurking...
