The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Have survived trip to super drug with out buying a first response (can't justify the cost), but didn't make it through Debenhams sale with out buying a lovely maternity top (opps!). Shall just have to clear blue on Sat (jiggles about in impatience).

Have you already ov'd this month Josie? Could this pain be implantation pains? (wicked Grin), or could your body just be playing tricks on you and you're having an unscheduled ov? Maybe you ought to jump your DH tonight, just encase Grin

NervousNelly · 09/09/2010 17:06

Update! I have pant snot Grin

Now just need to persuade OH that a bit of school-night action is just what we need to get us in the holiday mood!

does pant snot appear pre-ov? I presume so as no one sided pains yet, which I'm expecting on Sunday.

30andMerkin · 09/09/2010 17:19

AF. This is RUBBISH!

baby2b · 09/09/2010 18:02

I must not use the first response (which is in my cupboard) on Sunday!

I must not use the first response (which is in my cupboard) on Sunday!

I must not use the first response (which is in my cupboard) on Sunday!

Got a real urge to poas...eeeekkkkkk

Hope everyone else is good today and being better jsers than me? Grin Grin

p.s. pmsl at vd's

baby2b · 09/09/2010 18:05

30andMerkin I don't really do hugs, so will just suggest you get on the wine instead! :)

BrassicaBabe · 09/09/2010 18:21

Well done nomore for stepping away from the FR, but maternity wear? Hmm

Crap 30. Sorry for bitch AF. I was proper fucked off last month. I understand your pain and pissed-off-ness! I second the get pissed wine suggestion.

When you are due b2b?

Nelly, my cycle buddy! I don't get much in the way of pant snot. A bit yesterday, today just watery. Smile on an OPK at 11am this morning and then Biscuit by 2pm! I wonder if such a short LH surge is part of my problem. Hmm So I guess that means I ov today/tomorrow. We'll be SWI today and tomorrow. Day after too if I can work my magic Grin

Thanks ladies, am feeling very poorly designed right about now.

Fortunately it means I was feeling murderous because of PMT after all, and not that my husband has actually turned into a cretin after 10 years! Wink

baby2b · 09/09/2010 20:25

Brassica AF is due on the 17th, so sunday is six days early...ridiculous to be even thinking about it....but I am! I hate this gap between opks and pg tests!

BrassicaBabe · 09/09/2010 20:36

And we hate the gap between pg tests and opks Wink So if Sunday is 6 days early today is bonkers 9 days early! Grin Would peeing on another opk help the addiction? Wink

baby2b · 09/09/2010 20:59

I won't do it today, but dh doesn't want to test on sunday either...wants us to wait a few days after af is due! Shock

cowboylover · 09/09/2010 21:04

Yeh it is one hell of a big piece for a DH that doesnt like tattoos!

Well news from me is POAS this morning (esp 4 days late but not 100%sure) and got a very faint line. I am worried its a evap line and been googling maddly and its not a silvery line as mentioned but a very pale pink line that DH can see as well. Still there 12 hours later if that means anything?

I dont want to get to excited and over the top I just want to go with it and see what happens. DH said he will treat me to a Clear blue digi on the weekend if I promice to wait to do it again!

crowette · 09/09/2010 21:13

hallo ladies ... not been able to get on here with my pc, but can with DP's.

Anyhoo ... am at 12dpo, did a test last night cos I've been so very tired and feeling bloated - BFN as I thought so, was quite gutted :(

Still got mild cramps, was very tired again today - had an afternoon nap that lasted 3 hours.

Will wait til Sunday to test again if AF has not reared her ugly head!!

baby2b · 09/09/2010 21:30

Cowboy The tests are normally less accurate if you keep them for longer than 10 mins (or something like that) as positive lines can appear/ disappear. Hope that makes sense. if the line appeared in the time mentioned in the instructions then I think congratulations are in order! Grin

baby2b · 09/09/2010 21:31

Fingers crossed for you crowette

Truffkin · 09/09/2010 21:46

Evening viroids, have been feeling a bit worse for wear today (think it's a 24 hour sickness bug that's been doing the rounds at work) so no MNing for me. I did a bit of work from home and mainly slept it off. Luckily for me DH was out tonight with his workmates so I've been able to indulge my illness with weepy / crap films and Big Brother. Am looking forward to well-making cuddles when he arrives home if he isn't too full of beer and curry Grin

Cowgirl sounds very promising indeed, you know what they say; a line is a line is a line

Brassy good luck for JSing, hope you get your way!

Thirty so sorry for ERTD turning up. Onwards to the next cycle we march. Don't be too down, next month could be luck for you.

Hi everyone else, here's to the weekend starting tomorrow. It feels like it's been a long time coming.

NervousNelly · 09/09/2010 22:44

cowboy - a very early yeah! from me :)

30 sorry to hear about ERTD. Hope it's over soon so at least you can get to the enjoyable part of the month.

VDs - love it Grin

Brassica, hope you are no longer on MN and in fact are off JSing Wink

30andMerkin · 10/09/2010 08:34

ERTD?

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 10/09/2010 08:34

Cowboy sounds like we're clearblue buddies tomorrow! I'd err on the side of congratulations for you, but will wait til you confirm things Smile

Enjoy your soggy wet Friday viroids.

takethatlady · 10/09/2010 08:49

PMSL 30 at your murderous PMT and your non-cretin DH!

And congrats cowboy! I had pink lines last month that actually got stronger and stronger throughout the day. At the end of the ten minutes they were faintly there and quite fuzzy, and by the end of the day they were clear and sharp. So it can happen like that.

Can't believe you're waiting 'til the weekend to test again!

Well I had my hair done yesterday. Asked for a blonde shoulder-length bob. The colour is nice, but it's chin length. Whhhhyyyy? Then my sister-in-law came to visit so I skived off work and we went shopping. Bought a lovely new cream dress to wear out. Got home, got slaughtered, fell over and sat on the fake coals in our fireplace in my new dress so it had to go in the wash. Also cut my shin open and bruised my arse. Went to the divey pub down the road, lasted about ten minutes before I had to come home and throw up in the sink. Woke up this morning in a pink dress I don't remember putting on, complete with belt and earrings. At least I took my shoes off.

Even alka selzer isn't helping. I guess it's practice for morning sickness.

JosieSmith1 · 10/09/2010 08:56

Ooooo Cowboy, very exciting! Have you done another test this morning or are you hanging on a bit?

Sorry you got a BFN Crowette but there?s lots of time yet for a BFP.

Sorry you?re not feeling well Truffkin, hope you?re better this morning.

30 sorry AF arrived Sad ERTD is evil red tide of doom Grin

Good luck to everyone testing today, early or not!

Nothing more to report here, and I think I may have imagined the slight pains yesterday Grin If everything has worked like clockwork this time I should be 8DPO, but due to funny pains I could be 6DPO so not entirely sure where I am but either way it?s waaaaay too early to POAS.

JosieSmith1 · 10/09/2010 08:58

Cross-posted Takethat. PMSL at your bruised arse and memory loss! Sign of a good time I?d say!

BrassicaBabe · 10/09/2010 09:09

A quiet "arm squeeze" by way congrats for coyboy. We'll do a proper fanfare in a few days when you are ready. Smile

Sorry you've been poorly truffers

Methaphorically passing 30 another large glass of wine to help with the pit of doom that is AF.

lol takethat for her drunken evening. Sounds like a good night all round.

Waves to everyone else!

Well last night you were saved from a meltdown post on my part. DH arrived through the door just in time to save you from my mental ramblings. Even though it was CD12 for me and therefore smack bang into SWI windows I'd convinced myself my body wasn't working and that I'm a dried up prune.

My LH surge seems to be really short. I have to poas ever couple of hours throught a day just to catch a Smile before it goes right back to Biscuit again. So I was managing to convince myself, with the help of trusty google, that I wasn't really ovulating, that clomid this month was a waste of time because it wasn't the right dose and that our sex life was about to be ruined by shagging to order! (Can you see the level of my meltdown?!)

Anyway, he came in, we SWI. And this morning I noticed a decent shift upwards in my BBT. Ok, so I'm cheating, but this is the first month I've done my temps. At least I feel better. I believe you can have a LH surge and NOT ovulate, but a rise in temp is the proof that I did ovulate

And breathe.

Let the 2WW begin!!

Cowboy - very excited for you, got everything crossed!

Takethat - sounds like a good night out!

I see other people haven't told anyone they're ttc - this was my plan and then my big mouth excitment got in the way. Really wish I hadn't now, makes you feel a bit of a failure when you feel like people are thinking 'oh still not pregnant?'

JosieSmith1 · 10/09/2010 09:30

ComeTalkToMe I know exactly what you mean! We've sort of mentioned it in passing to my Mam and in-laws and they're all excited waiting for some news and every month that passes I feel like I'm disappointing them!
