I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Morning all,

Am having a very lazy day off here! We managed to drag ourselves out of bed at about 1 Shock and headed in to town for some lunch. Have now got the lap top, complete with iplayer to catch up on Eastenders and Waterloo Road, Prison Break series 4 and my Emma Cannon book sitting beside me on the sofa ready for an afternoon of pure laziness! I think I deserve it seeing as I will have to work on Saturday and Sunday this weekend :(

Good news on the shag josie You must have a nice arse Grin sorry about your tooth and definitely get to the dentist- Monday is a long time away...make sure that it doesn't look like anything really nasty like an abscess if you are going to wait until then.

Hi alien Hope you're having a good day at work! See you later on.

Fingers crossed evil those signs sound like classic ovulation ones so hope the next two days temps remain high :)

Oh toria hope you are feeling a bit better after your cry last night :( So sorry to hear the sad news about your friend's baby. They will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers xxx

highheelsGlad you're feeling more positive after speaking to the clinic. That lady sounds lovely. Are you having any ERTD signs at the minute or do you not normally get any? I can't remember who it was that said they have no real warning of it. I have been looking at the website you linked too. What one did you order? the combination with extra bee pollen or a different one? I think I might get some too- I've read some really interesting things this morning on that subject.

cavey just about to take your test- will let you know the results later on!

raspberry glad you're feeling fertile! I do know what you mean and I am feeling a similar way today too. Nope, I've never surfed before... it will be a steep learning curve for sure!

How are you aries? Other than being a surf widow, what's going on?

Tomboy hope you got a good night's sleep and didn't fall into the saucepan whilst cooking! Grin

Hi to everyone else :) will be back later xxx

MissFlick · 23/09/2010 09:59

cavey I am an ESFJ type. I am sure that will mean nothing to you!

kkas · 23/09/2010 10:01

thanks everyone for your comments. DH and i have made up and he was particularly sweet this morning waking me up with a kiss and saying "i love to see your smile" :) Grin i guess we'll keep him....

josie so funny re your prison visit! good work JSing last night!!!

evilgiraffe fingers crossed your temps stay up.

toria that is so sad re the other leader's baby. i will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

highheels sounds like you are doing everything you can to be in top shape. and great news that you have found an ally at your clinic :)

ooh cavey i love myers-briggs. last time i took it i was ESTJ, but might try your link later today and see if i'm still the same. as for emma cannon, i am also cold and damp and i think a bit blood stagnant given my painful periods and spotting after FERTD leaves. i'm also finding it hard to cut out everything for a damp type, but also not beating myself up about it as what i like best about her book is that she really encourages positive thinking and self-acceptance. also not sure if she's in cahoots with holland and barratt as i seem to have been spending more than my fair share in that shop since reading the book! hehe j/k. loving the abdominal massage every night before bed with different oils depending on what part of the cycle i'm on.

raspberry nothing wrong with a few giggles!

tomboy hope you get some sleep. the lengths we go to in this TTC business....

kkas · 23/09/2010 10:03

x-post flick glad you are enjoying your day off! interesting that we are almost the same type!

MissFlick · 23/09/2010 10:06

That is interesting! I wonder what the rest of the frolickers are? I can't wait to pop into Holland and Barratt when I am on my flying visit to the UK next weekend, it's hard to get all of the oils and things Emma recommends over here! [saddo emoticon!]

HRHCavey · 23/09/2010 13:22

Afternoon ladies, I actually came out with two types as I scored the same in both categories. I am both ISFJ and EFSP, which seems a little contradictory!

Oh well, trust me to come out all wonky!

Truffkin · 23/09/2010 14:20

Afternoon frolickers, am having a busy day at work but thought I would take five to say my hellos to everyone.

To start off with, I'm an ENTP and we use MBTI quite a lot at work particularly when working with teams where there has been a lot of change / centralisation as it can help to take the emotion out of situations where something is not working and help people to find better ways of working around issues. My type means I get energy from spending time with other people and groups, that I am not very good at planning ahead (for evidence see every piece of coursework I've ever completed being done the night before deadline!) and that I like to start things but am not all that good at finishing! On the plus side, Albert Einstein was an ENTP so clearly I'm a genuis Grin

Toria so sorry to hear about your colleague's baby, will include them in my prayers and wish for a positive outcome

Josie nice work on the actual JSing, nice to see someone is waving the flag

Kkas so glad you and DH are happier and that your chat seems to have hit the spot. Bless him with his romantic wake up call.

Flick massive love for your lazy day, sounds just perfect! We have a busy weekend ahead so would kill for a sofa day, am almost looking forward to next weekend already Wink

HighHeels sounds like you're in a good place and are taking really positive steps to being in control. Hope it stays with you as long as you need it to.

In other news, I was woken in the night by my DH moving around in bed and when I asked him what he was doing he said 'I've got to get these orders out' so I nudged him and went back to sleep. This morning he reminded me of it and said he thinks he was dreaming about doing a stock take at work and the moving around was him moving stock in his sleep. Bless the geekiness in him, think he needs some down time too!

JosieSmith1 · 23/09/2010 15:01

Well good afternoon everyone.

Although I am struggling to eat a little bit, the pain is nowhere near as bad as yesterday! And the prison visit this morning took my mind off it. It doesn't look like an abscess or infection or anything, I think it's jst this sore as it's just penetrated the gum. I have the adult version of teething gel which is fab! Only just re-discovered it in the cupboard though. It's got anaesthetic in it so your whole mouth gets numbed which feels really weird and you dribble a lot, but it eases the pain loads so am virtually drinking it at the minute Grin

I'm sure SWI will take my mind of it too so will have to put that to DH and try and milk it for all it's worth! GrinBlush

LankyLegs · 23/09/2010 15:44

Good arvo frolickers,

A bit more lively here today!

God I hate my new project - no where near enough time to even look at mumsnet most days.

Bloddy hell flick am loving your school surfing trip to Bali - oh the joys of teaching somewhere more exotic hey! Sounds fab. Sorry you have to work this weekend though - hope you are having a lovely day off (getting up at 1 - bliss!)

kkas I am pleased you have made up with DH - as others have said on here men can be rubbish and actually need to be TOLD how we are feeling - o god knows why they just don't get it? It really isn't that difficult. I think its important no to get complacent in a relationship and we can all be guilty of that sometimes. Anyway - pleased its all blown over nonetheless!

Josie great news about the shagging - get in there! Your tooth still sounds nasty - you really need to get that checked out. From my experiences those sorts of tooth aches do not disappear quickly and you might need some antibiotics. You know what you have to do... call the Dentist!

Kaloki so pleased you big day went well - it goes by so quickly doesn't it? And the whole being called 'wifey' takes a while to get used to as well. Good luck with your scan - hope you get an explanation.

Truff loving you menkuling - all sounds positive!! My bloke does that sometimes in his sleep too - think it is just stress - bless em.

Highheels reading your post made me think that's exactly how I have been feeling recently. I don't know why but I have burst into tears everyday this week - morning and evening and at work have been keeping myself busy so as to not trigger any emotional reaction. I am not sure whether its the acupuncture - the practitioner dais that often it will bring out your underlying state of mind - so if you are feeling tired or energised - it seems in my case I am feeling like an emotional loon. Anyway - no going to say hope you feel better soon etc, but just to let you know I know exactly how you are feeling and it sucks big time.

Toria sorry about your friends little one - thoughts are with them.

Rasberry sounds like you had a fun evening! I love that feeling when you have unexplained giggles - feels like your whole body is being woken up and invigorated - its great!

evil bloody great news on the OV after you mental cycle! Good that you are temping - you will have a much better view of your cycle.

cavey I have done MB before as well - used it for work and it is most interesting. I am a ESFJ. Also - any sign of ERTD my dear?

Ello to aries and alien

Soooo can not wait for the weekend - feel shattered already.

I went out for dinner with my 6 month pregnant sister last night which was lovely but she don't half piss me off sometimes. She is actually really quite insensitive asking 'so aren't you pregnant yet' she should know better not to ask - esp after I have told her about thyroid problems etc. Then she proceeds to bang on about he mummy lifestyle of play dates, nanny's, nursery and holidays in Barbados - jeeze. Anyway - as much as I love her (and I have 4 sisters btw so not short of them) she really did piss me off last night. I came home and sobbed to DH and was mumbling ' I think I am struggling to hold it all together' to which he got very worried. Am having a shitty couple of weeks just feeling constantly miserable and teary - not sure how to cope with it as normally am very upbeat and happy. Am hoping this huge fecking cloud above me will disappear at some point. Anyway - sorry to drag you all down - have been avoiding posting because of it! Also had some bloods taken this morning so hoping that my thyroid is into more acceptable levels now!

Someone pass me a few cocktails... !

MissFlick · 23/09/2010 16:11

lanky I'm an ESFJ too :) Sorry you are feeling so emotional and down :( It sounds like it is the acupuncture releasing everything from you and probably a combination of being really busy at work too.I know when I am hating work it really affects everything I do and makes me feel miserable in all aspects of my life. Sorry your sister was insensitive last night too- not what you need right now :( Mr. Lanky sounds like he is being lovely though and it's good that you are able to talk openly to him and not bottle things up. Like I said to highheels yesterday, please don't stay away because you're feeling down, unless you want to of course, but don't worry about dragging us down as it's what we are here for. One of things I like best about this thread is that when you are down there is always someone to pick you up and it seems to work in a cycle with us all taking turns to support each other. I miss you when you stay away! Hope you have some nice relaxing things planned for the weekend. I sent you a link to the porn star cocktail pic but am not sure it will work xxxx

MissFlick · 23/09/2010 16:12

I meant to say as well, hope your bloods come back with perfect levels. Will you get your results next week?

crazybutterflylady · 23/09/2010 16:27

Lanky sweetie, I second everything Flick says. The cloud is just that, a cloud, and it too will pass. Don't get cross with yourself for feeling sh1t, you just have to ride it. That's what I do - you know you'll come out the other side eventually. Just look after yourself, pamper yourself, read a crappy book to distract yourself for an hour or so and just allow yourself to feel what you're feeling.

Big hugs xxxx

HRHCavey · 23/09/2010 16:53

Lanky big (((hugs))) for you. People just don't think sometimes do they?
When I came back to work yesterday one of the ladies that works in our building (who is perfectly lovely) said "Throwing up in the morning eh?" and gave me a knowing wink. It took a lot of self control not to yell "Actually, I'm trying bloody hard, but I'm not pregnant yet!"

As you can tell, no sign of ERTD at all. The reflexology lady in Cambridge has come back to me and said she has treated a lot of women in a similar situation (absent periods) and can also recommend an acupuncurist if I'd like to try that too! Think I will try one thing at a time though!

LankyLegs · 23/09/2010 17:06

You girls are lovely - you know I literally just fought back tears whilst reading all your posts at my desk?! That is how soppy I am getting. Thanks for your wise comments and I know you are all right- you have to just get it out of the system and ride it out. It is part of the process! Funny how I can give this advice to others but not use it myself? Oh the irony.

It is really nice having a like minded bunch of people who understand how you feel.

Flick thanks for the piccy!! I will look at it home when I can access it. I do like this whole inbox thing we have now!

Cavey one day we are going to end up shouting at these people exactly what is on our minds! I actually hope that we all get pregnant to reply ' actually yes I am up the bloody duff'! I would wait to try acupuncture too - give the foot woman a chance to do her thing!

crazy thanks for delurking. I am going to take you advice and try and pamper myself some more - I need some 'me' time I think! Hope you are well and you are not feeling to sick.

Thanks again gals xxx

Truffkin · 23/09/2010 17:22

Lanky sending and glad that chatting on here helps you feel less out on a limb. It can be so difficult not to take things to heart when things are said thoughtlessly.

Here, have another cosmo you know you want it Wink

Toriajayne · 23/09/2010 18:29

I have been asked many, many times over the last two years if I'm pregnant and it's getting to the stage that should I get that second pink line I'm liable to tell everyone by shouting "I'M ACTUALLY BLOODY PREGNANT THIS TIME!"

Ahem.

kkas Glad you made up with him, fingers crossed this is the start of better things :)

Josie hope your tooth continues to get better and that the JSing gets into a good swing Grin

Truff My OH does things like that as well, he is also quite bad for sitting up, grabbing me, pinning me to the bed and shouting at me to stay still and it'll be ok, resulting in him getting smacked in the face one night when he woke me up too suddenly lol.

Thank you all for the wishes for my friend, we wont know anything until at least tomorrow but I appreciate it.

I'm feeling loads better today, I spoke to a RL friend who is a homepathic therapist and she talked me through a bit more what happened at my reflexology appointment and I'm feeling a lot more positive about it. Will obviously speak to my practioner properly when I go back and discuss my feelings and emotions as my friend pointed out that reflexology picks up blockages in mental state as well as physical problems so my obsessing and over sensitivity atm is possibly causing some of the blockage.

About to have my dinner then go out clothes shopping (to Matalan, get me!) for work clothes and have my mum here tonight so probably wont be back. Hope you all have a lovely evening!

Ariesgirl · 23/09/2010 19:24

Sorry you're feeling so down Lanky, but really no wonder. You know the Smug Marrieds from Bridget Jones? Well some people are Smug Pregnants and Smug Parents aren't they? Console yourself with the thought that there is no way you would be so insensitive yourself and that makes you a Better Person. Failing that, give her a slap. Honestly!

TomboyWife · 23/09/2010 20:40

Evening ladies!

INFJ here. I've taken Myers-Briggs a shedload of times, the first time being way back when I was 14 or 15. I came out INFJ even way back then.

It's been a fraught week, hasn't it? Cyber-hugs to everyone who's feeling down: Lanky, Toria, Josie, sorry if I've missed anyone. Take care of yourselves ladies, I hope the weekend lifts everyone's spirits.

Toriajayne · 23/09/2010 21:36

I've just caved and bought the Emma Cannon book. I seriously considered buying a second hand one, thinking there might be some baby dust suck to it but it was about £5 more so the tightarse in me won out lol.

Thanks for the hug Tomboy Think there are still some cocktails kicking about if you want one?

highheelsandequations · 23/09/2010 22:22

Quick post before bed. I do not recommend trying to hang off a pole upside down after acupuncture. Made me feel very dizzy Confused

Lanky I know exactly how you're feeling. Let's hope its the acupuncture getting everything bad out of both of our systems and in the meantime it's very nice to know I'm not the only lunatic :) Hugs for you and feel free to cry on my shoulder whenevr you like, as long as you don't mind me blubbing along too.

Need to lie down now so sorry for the lack of personal messages. Hope we're all well. It's nearly Friday :o :o :o So definintely cocktail hour in the three follicles. Plus we've almost finished this thread, whose is the next one?

MissFlick · 24/09/2010 05:28

Morning all,

Just in a break from my workshop- don?t mind being here today as would usually be at work anyway but come Sunday....Angry although negative thoughts are not advised by Emma Cannon so I will maintain my zen like state and float through the workshop seeing the positive in all [ahem!] Seriously though, it is good for my CV so I just need to HTFU Grin

Just wanted to pass on something lovely that my newly pregnant friend just sent me in a message. Last week when she told me she was pregnant she said she hoped it was something we could share in so I told her that we were trying and today she text me, before I meet her tonight, saying ? I am THRILLED you guys are trying and I will pass on any and every tip I can but at the end of the day I know that when people are in love like you guys, that it will happen. You are young, happy, healthy and your baby will be drop dead gorgeous!? I thought the bit about being in love, like you all are with your lovely men, was a really nice sentiment and is something that we should cling to when TTC gets us down.

Happy Friday all :) xxxxx

HRHCavey · 24/09/2010 07:06

Flick what a lovely friend and what a supportive and caring, without being patronising message. Do you hire her out?! Sounds like we could all do with someone like her whispering in our ear from time to time.

I'm lucky that I have PinkLady to share the journey with, though she has been AWOL from here for a bit! I know she's on hols at the mo but I will give her a kick up the bum when we next have dinner!

I shan't be around today, I'm off to Ascot for the day. There's racing on and I'm also attending a "Women in Racing" seminar which is supposed to help promote racing as a career path for women and provide a support network for those already in it. I had a look at the guest list last night and spotted Madeleine Lloyd Webber is on it. Yup, that is Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's wife! Don't worry, I won't burst into song and make a spectacle of myself!

Happy Friday everyone, the weekend is almost here!

MissFlick · 24/09/2010 07:14

OOO enjoy the day! Please try a little song for us Wink and hope you get to drink some champers!

Bellaby · 24/09/2010 07:56

Happy Friday all.

Just about to fly to Holland for my friends wedding so will be quiet this weekend.

HRHCavey have a lovely day at Ascot.

Flick that's suc a lovely message your friend sent. Its amazing how the little things like that can make all the difference.

Lanky sorry to hear you've been feeling down. Hope you are feeling better today

Hello to everyone else.

Have a great weeekend

Xxx

OneOf8 · 24/09/2010 10:23

Hi all, sorry to be the messenger with this news, but Fudge has posted on the other thread.

It isn't good news - but I thought you would want to know.

I haven't lurked here for a while but I hope everyone is well xxx
