KALOKI So excited for you honey! Promise to take lots of pics and post on your profie? xxx

Toriajayne · 09/09/2010 12:03

kkas That's awful we used to regularly get people trying the front door of our house in Edinburgh, one of the many reasons we left! And this is weird, and not to sound like a stalker but I've dreamed about you twice now, and last night I dreamed someone broke into my house in the middle of the night Hmm Should probably take your advice actually, I leave my handbag on the coat hooks by the front door, and my car keys on the fuse box underneath them

Tomboy Fingers crossed! That all sounds very promising Grin

Flick Love the smilies Grin sucks that your MN time was interrupted, how very dare they!

Highheels I know the feeling, unfortunately we're the opposite way round, we only really see each other during the week and I always seem to ovulate at the weekends Hoping that the "two to three times a week" adage holds true lol.

Morning to everybody else. Have to finish the housework and iron his shirts today (not sure why I have to iron his shirts but apparently I do) then he's away climbing something high and dangerous tonight so I'm going to bake a cake and read alllll night with no one talking to me, pointing at my book and asking "What's that word mean" at random and twitching his restless legs beside me all night. That makes him sound really annoying. He's not really lol.

Toriajayne · 09/09/2010 12:07

Flick I'm not working today, the joys of being part time and having to do alternate weekends hehehe.

Kalokai How exciting!

JosieSmith1 · 09/09/2010 15:36

Afternoon everyone, it?s been so busy at work I haven?t had a chance to get on here at all so far!

HRHCavey I have problems with my assignments sometimes as when different people mark them they give you different advice, like on tutor says I should put each different question on a different page, but then another tutor will say I don?t need to do it, so I don?t know what to do for the best sometimes! Luckily I?m very nearly done, got a 2500 word essay, one more assignment and one question that I?ve been referred on then, nearly 5 years later, I?ll be done! I?m supposed to go to Suffolk for 2 practical lessonsand exams weeks but it costs so much and with TTC it?s not going to happen anytime soon. Loving the new name by the way!

Thanks MissFlick, the coq au vin was lush but not as nice as other times I?ve done it. The pots were a last minute addition and I?ve never done them before and they weren?t great but I know what to do differently next time anyway. I demanded this morning that DH did some housework before he went to work at 12noon as he owed me after I spent an hour and a half cooking AND then did the dishes! Grin I?ll be lucky!

Thanks too Florin. There?s a lot of pressure on the Probation Officers at the minute and it?s filtering down to us so tempers are a bit frayed. Everyone seems to be a bit better now though as there?s been a team meeting and grievances have been mostly aired. The woman who shouted at one of my colleagues on Monday came in on Wed, apologised, hugged her, then cried! She?s been in much better fettle since then though Grin

My god kkas you were so lucky! Hope you?ve recovered from your shock!

Ooooooo Kaloki best of luck, hope the day goes perfectly for you both! Try not to be too nervous, as stupid as that sounds! Oooooooooo!!!!!!!

Sorry if I?ve missed anyone out.

Having a weird day again today ? had some very slight pains in left ovary again, hardly noticeable though, and some funny discharge, not as in an infection, just not normal and it?s not the right time I don?t think.

gardenpixie · 09/09/2010 15:40

Hello all,

Happy Thursdays all round! Sorry for v short post, stuck at work and people here apparently want me to actually work rather than MN [sense of indignation emoticon]

Big waves and hopefully will be able to bore you all post again later

xx Grin

HRHCavey · 09/09/2010 17:00

Just quickly popping my head round the door to wish Kaloki and her soon-to-be DH all the best for tomorrow.

Hope the day is everything you wished for.

gardenpixie · 09/09/2010 17:01

[pre-emptive confetti emoticon] for kaloki will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

cherrycobbler · 09/09/2010 18:16

just a quick to say - hope all goes really well tomorrow Kaloki xx

kurlyvoice · 09/09/2010 18:24

Am on in-law duty this evening (but hiding the bean news for now) so just wanted to echo a few others before me and wish Kaloki a WONDERFUL wedding day. Just enjoy it and talk to as many of your guests as possible - you don't often get them all to yourself!

Florin · 09/09/2010 18:30

Afternoon Ladies!
Kaloki Not that you need it but good luck for tomorrow hope everything goes to plan (and if little bits don't, don't worry about them nobody else will notice) Enjoy every minute it all goes so fast and enjoy being the centre of attention. Can't wait to hear how it all went. I will be thinking of you tomorrow

Josie I keep getting pains in my left ovary too, well I think its my ovary had it last few months and mainly after I ovulate. I put off going to the doctors for ages about it as normally very mild but I finally went last week and I have been booked in for an ultrasound on 4 October. On that note has anyone had an internal ultrasound starting to panic a bit about it now as it all seems very embarrassing and uncomfortable Blush

Looks like we are finally getting another car hopefully DH is going to pick it up tomorrow. Then we will have our big family estate car so will just need to start making a family to fill it Grin

raspberrytipple · 09/09/2010 18:30

Evening all,
This is becoming quite a habit, I come home and update myself on mumsnet action while DP makes me food Grin i'm soooo lazy.

Well, I am still holding out - no test as yet and still utterly terrified to do it. Still have a sore back and a few stitch like pains around tummy/under ribs. I get the odd cramp every now and then and am still VERY bloated... other than that and the odd waft of sickness I have no other symptoms (other than awol ERTD of course). Ohh and lots of CM, not EW though, just yukky stuff, dont know if that's a symptom of PG or ERTD? Sorry, TMI I know. I am also rather off my food, not in a sicky kinda way, just not hungry or dont fancy literally anything and I NEVER have that problem

Cherry how is the cold? Hope your not feeling too grotty? A few days in bed under the duvet should sort you right out!

Toria hope you had a better day today, what sort of stuff do you sell in your shop?
I had to laugh at what you said DP does when you are reading, mine does exactly the same, he will even read a few pages ahead of where I am and then go 'oh, have you got to the bit where....' and he always reads the last few pages just to ruin it, and always says 'what page are you on, how many pages are there,...so how many do you have left?" at which point I usually attack him which I know plays right into his hands... men are so annoying.

hi Crazy, reflexology sounds nice, im quite cynical too but I am a believer in the placebo benefit you can get from some of these things and I genuinely think if it makes you feel better then it should be given a go. I might try it, Ive always liked the idea of acupuncture but I am far too wary of having that amount of needles stuck into me!!! yuk. Thanks for the crossed fingers, what were your very early symptoms and how early did you get your BFP? Quite frankly, my determination not to test is starting to wain rather quickly now!!! Good going on the food BTW, at least you've eaten some fruit too!!

Highheels glad the hand isnt too bad, I cant stand burns, they are the worst injury in my book, I get itchy and it drives me bonkers. I am studying a Business Studies degree, hoping to maybe do an MBA at some point but thats a few years away yet. Ummm, I think my fave pole move that I can actually just about do at the moment is a 'kimmy', trouble is i think lots of places use lots of different names so not sure if it will have the same name at your pole class. I also like the kate moss move and spinning straddle, although I cant do that properly. Im not very brave at the moment so I dont generally do inverted moves although I am just about getting on top of easy knees, which to be honest absolutely kills, god it hurts the back of your knee!!!
What about you? how long have you been going? I love, love, love it, its so much fun.

kkas - sorry to hear someone tried to break in that must have been so scary, I hope you are ok! Your right a break might be a good idea leading up to Christmas, once the pressure is off you might find DP calms down a bit. Good luck! xx

MissFlick as I say above, I am starting to waver, determined to wait but I'll let you know whether I make it to Saturday, only one more day to go!!!

Kaloki - good luck for tomorrow!!!

Hi everyone else, hope you've all had a good day [waves]

TomboyWife · 09/09/2010 19:01

Evening ladies!

Well, still no ERTD but I just tested and got a BFN, so I don't know what's going on this month. I'm increasingly convinced it was an anovulatory cycle. Sad

On the other hand, this means I can drink guilt-free at the barbecue tomorrow, so it's not all bad. Wink

[kkas] Wow, that must have been terrifying having someone try to break in! I'm going to tell DH what's happened to you -- twice in the past week, he's left the back door open when we've left for work in the morning. It was open, and the house was empty, all day. Shock

[kaloki] Best of luck for tomorrow! Relax and enjoy your special day!

[raspberry] Good luck with the upcoming test! Not that I think you'll need it. Whenever I read about your symptoms I think, (imagine ditzy teenage girl) "She's sooooo pregnant!"

TomboyWife · 09/09/2010 19:05

Argh, I really must remember the difference between bold and Smilesmileys.

womanlytales · 09/09/2010 19:12

Hello ladies - have been buried with work as I get ready for holiday - tomorrow...so here's a really small post...

All the best kaloki and raspberry more power to you for resisting poas...excellent stuff!

I am off on holiday - will be back end of sept..two weeks .. will miss you all.
Lots of baby dust and may the roll for sept bfps continue :) Ta,

raspberrytipple · 09/09/2010 19:30

Girls, I cracked. BFN. am totally and utterly gutted. really wish I just hadn't have bothered now as I think I'd rather just have had a F*ing period turn up. Off to have a cry for a while x

TomboyWife · 09/09/2010 20:21

I'm so sorry raspberry. Sad

Florin · 09/09/2010 20:24

oh rasberry I am so sorry, its a horrible feeling isn't it, not much I can say but look after yourself and let yourself have a good cry. However don't give up completly lots of people have lots of bfn's before their bfp.

alien06 · 09/09/2010 20:28

raspberry I'm so sorry :0( as other people have said there can be lots of bfn's before the big bfp. Chin up chick! xx

highheelsandequations · 09/09/2010 20:44

OMG kkas that must have been terifying, hope you're okay. Thanks for letting me moan and you're right there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything.

Miss my frittata was very yum :) Thanks for the info on OPKs (I'd heard they are unreliable if you have PCOS but trying enything just now!) and the positive thoughts in your post :)

Kaloki so excited about your wedding, can't imagine how you're feeling.

Toria tell him to iron his own shirts!

Hi to Garden and HRH

Raspberry so so sorry about the BFN, are you okay love? Very impressed with your managing to study business as well as everything else and hope your plan for the MBA works out. Will have to look up the moves you mention as I don't recognise the names :o I've been going since about January, but our courses are 6 weeks then a break so I've done 18 weeks altogether. I'm not so good at spinning, can't get the grip right, but love the inverts and sitting on the pole and stuff! Think my favourite so far is the gemini, although held it for too long one night and was very sore the next day :o

Tomboy sorry about the BFN and sorry you think it's been an anovulatory cycle. Hope yo're okay.

Still no signs of ovulation here I think, although earlier today after I'd been to the loo I definitely saw EWCM and got all excited but now it's vanished so don't know what was going on there. Any thoughts? My consultant finally phoned me and said I need to have the HSG and then another 3 cycles of clomid assuming everything is all clear so suppose I need to phone the secretary tomorrow and see when I can get an appointment for. Still tempted to take the rest of the clomid but my acupuncturist said she'd recommend having a break from it. Yes, had my first acupuncture session today. Took a little while to get used to telling a stranger everything about me and ended up crying at one point (I cry at anything these days), the needles were a bit weird, one of them really hurt and two of them felt bizarre. She said she was very hopeful that it should have an effect as my pulses were dramatically different after and it seemed that it was clearing a blockage. I wasn't going just about the ttc but a few different issues but she seemed very sure that I'd see an improvement. Felt very very sleepy after and a bit dreamy, quite nice really and now I feel very relaxed, although I have a weird ache across my shoulders and neck (or is that from pilates and abs this week...). Looking forward to the next session and hopefully seeing some progress. I'm now under strict instruction to drink more water and give up my one cup of decaf coffee per day (going to miss my coffee :( ) but she said not to quit the wine :) as I'm not drinking too much :) :) (and I was fairly honest about how much I have) just make sure I have extra water for every glass. Going to go now as I really need an early night tonight. Plus DP and I are actually both in the same place for once so we might even manage some shagging (can't call it SWI as no idea if or when my eggs are going to be ready this cycle :o)

highheelsandequations · 09/09/2010 20:46

Apologies for the abundance of :), must be hanging around with teenages too much. Next thing I'll be typing in text speak

CUl8r!

Truffkin · 09/09/2010 21:34

Evening ladies, have not been on today as feeling pretty sicky so worked from home and slept a lot. There's been a 24-hour bug going round at work so am convinced that what's it is. Fingers crossed that 24 hours of starvation has worked and I'll be ok tomorrow as have some stuff planned I really need to be in the office for.

Raspberry sorry about your BFN, who knows it might still be early days for you so not showing up? Sending virtual through the interweb.

highheels no thoughts about CM from me as I am rubbish at even noticing any let alone diagnosing it. Am all for lots of shagging though so you get the right time by coincidence!

Tomboy sorry about your BFN, any thoughts for next cycle? Do you think this has been a one-off or are you going to talk to your GP about potentially not ovulating?

Kaloki very excited for your wedding day tomorrow, hope you have a fabulous time and you both enjoy every minute. Can't wait for your first post mentioning your DH Grin

Toria sounds like a perfect evening. My hubby is out tonight so I've been able to wallow in my miserable queasiness all evening. I've been highly emotional as well (crying at Big Brother Blush) so very glad he has not been here to take the mickey out of me.

Everyone else, hello and good evening. Thank goodness it's almost the bladdy weekend, it feels like it's been a long week. We have a nice quiet Friday planned watching the Big Brother final, eating pizza and drinking wine followed by a rowdy Saturday night out for a friend's birthday in Clapham. Any exciting plans for the weekend frolickers?

Toriajayne · 09/09/2010 21:37

Raspberry So sorry lovely The shop is a jewellery and gift shop, so we sell shiny things and lots of random gifts, most recent additions are tedy bears and Charles Rennie Mackintosh mugs and teapots.

Womanly have a fab holiday!

Highheels He usually does but for the last couple of weeks I seem to have been getting roped into it. I just sewed his scout badges on as well. Mug is me! Good news on both counts, that your consultant has been in touch and the acupuncturist visit was so positive. Fingers crossed this is the start of good things to come :)

I'm off to bed now, OH is unexpectedly home early from climbing so might try and get some SWI in as he's meant to be away this weekend, just in time to coincide with when I think I should ovulate. Typical man! Wink

pixiestix · 09/09/2010 23:43

Just popping in to say good luck to the beautiful Kaloki! I hope you have a gorgeous day Smile

aly323 · 10/09/2010 02:55

Also popping in to wish Kaloki a lovely wedding day! Please post pictures!!

Additionally, I wanted to mention that I have just had two friends in rl (both ttc) who got BFP's shortly after having "Mayan" massage. I had never heard of it before, but it's some sort of a deep massage that repositions the uterus. One friend is an attorney I work with who mentioned to her secretary that she was ttc. The secretary's step-mother does the massage, so they went. She had to go three times in a week, but got pregnant immediately after. Maybe it's just a coincidence. I hear it's a fairly common massage in the Mexican culture to get them. I'm in California, so it's easy to find people who do them. I don't know if that would be the case elsewhere. Just a thought. Has anyone else heard of this?

aly323 · 10/09/2010 02:57

Oh, and Kkas, also glad to hear you're ok after the scare!
