Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

Oh god, running? That sounds way too much like hard work! Grin I've started going swimming with a colleague though, so far we've been three weeks in a row, and going again tomorrow!

I've also joined Fertility Friend, and am charting everything I can be bothered to keep track of on there - who knew there were so many things that could make a difference?!

kurlyvoice · 07/09/2010 18:01

You are all WONDERFUL! Have just had a very enjoyable sit-down reading though the day's chat and wishing that I hadn't had such a busy day at school.

Firstly, , I have to apologise for feeling so crappy yesterday and then offloading on you all. I really didn't mean to be insensitive or anything like that and have given myself a very stern MrsK talking to and will try not to do it again. So we are now doing positivism and lots of people can take heart from my pg status despite PCOS and other cyst-things and SWI with renewed vigour. And I didn't do any temping or anything like that either so I think that I'm a perfect role model for you, Flick!

Toria, you made me laugh SO much. I think that a lot of my local doctors are graduates (with Firsts) from that particular school of thinking but SOD THEM ALL.

I'm liking the positive signs and the race for the 6th September BFP, even if us recent graduates are refusing to leave you alone! Sprinkling lots of babydust - along with all the rain - to help you on your way to the Christmas club. Grin

Truffkin · 07/09/2010 18:46

Hi everyone, have been rubbish at posting recently so am offering round a plate of home made bought from M&S chocolate brownies to everyone as my penance.

No real news from me as I'm now on CD7 and prepped for as much SWIing this month as I can reasonably get away with without my DH collapsing from exhaustion! I've downloaded a charting app for my iphone and if the little critter is to be believed, 16th - 19th are my important days. Unfortunately we're back in Birmingham that weekend for BIL's birthday so will be drinking my bodyweight a bit and staying at PILs' house - oops! Am sure we can manage a cheeky (and quiet!) quickie....

Bella am impressed you've started at the gym, I've been a member for about 5 months now and been once. I've just found out that there's a ladies only place by where we live so might give that a go to see if I'm any more inclined to be less lazy!

alien I've got everything crossed for you, sounds very promising!

HighHeels Am impressed with your multi-tasking this morning, posting as you breaksfasted! Am interested to see how your acupuncture goes, I've just signed up for reflexology as the idea of needles makes me a bit queasy. Not amused by the 'just relax' comments, WE KNOW THIS ALREADY!

Tomboy LOL to your knowing more that the doctors but keeping my fingers crossed for your lateness, you never know it could be your month!

Flick am absolutely on your wavelength about not getting carried away with temping and CM checking. I'm still (still!) romantically hoping that things will just happen during one night of abandoned passion and we won't even know when we actually conceived Hmm

wave to everyone else and I will try my hardest to be a better MNer tomorrow (am having busy times at work, isn't it annoying when real life gets in the way of being sociable?!)

Truffkin · 07/09/2010 18:47

Apologies for the inordinate amount of exclamation marks in my post. I feel suitably Blush at my juvenile antics (!!!!!!)

Florin · 07/09/2010 18:48

Had a really horrid day at work, lots of changes happening could really do with being pregnant this month as otherwise will have to think of changing which I don't want to do- I just want to be a mummy
On train now up to London to go our for drinks to perk myself up.
On a positive note realised a month that I thought would be a right off due to dh being poorly has actually been an extremely good month of swi don't think we could have tried any harder.
josie well done on being restrained on putting up the cot, I think I would have had to just had a quick look to see what it looks like up in the nursery!
Some how feeling really positive about ttc this month, think it is because dh is equally excited about it now. Hope everyone having a fab evening

raspberrytipple · 07/09/2010 20:34

Evening all, what a crappy weather day today, I hate rain :-(

Highheels sorry to hear you haven't really got much further, silly doctor lecturing you about keeping a happy relationship! As if you don't know that, you are trying for a baby for goodness sake!!! Hope your hand gets better, do you have an aloe vera plant? They are supposed to be very soothing if applied to burns and can stop scarring too, just break one of the leaf things off it and squeeze the gooey stuff on the burn. I am growing one in my office by the window to take home and use once it is big enough....

garden hope you didnt have too bad a hangover this morning after your three glasses last night although to get it spending time with a lovely looking man sounds like it was worth it.......Wink

tomboy any news??!!!

lanky & Flick pole dancing was much fun last night..... I got a bit over excited with the spinning though and felt a bit sick by the end of it all.

cavemum good luck with the coursework, I'm doing an OU degree and it is a lot to do on top of having a life, full time work and trying to spend time with DP/DH but I love it, its very rewarding and always keep sight of what the end result will be! I always get really excited when all the shiny new course books come through and I lay them all out of the floor, draw up a study plan, inform DP of when he is and isnt permitted to talk to me/banned from using the laptop.... then open a bottle of wine and scrap the lot and accept that I will probably have to force myself to do my reading and always leave my assignments (one every 4 weeks) until the night before they are due in. I get by though and I miss it when Im not doing it, Im on a break now until January and to be honest I miss having structure to my evenings, all I do at the moment is slob out and watch DP play on the xbox!!

cherry I'm sure everything will be fine but I can understand your anguish. Fingers crossed you have a very smooth four weeks until your scan and everything will be fine!! I love what you did to tell DP! Lovely.... I have been imagining telling people like my mum and dad and if id do it in a special way although knowing me Ill just be so excited ill bounce up and down and blurt it out!

Josie impressed with your willpower, I would have been tempted to put it up!

As for me, still no ERTD and have been feeling sick and have had heartburn. I also this afternoon had a craving for a corned beef and beetroot sandwich on brown bread with mayo so made my friend drive me to a sandwich shop in town that makes them to order. OMG it was good!!! And I had a can of coke too.... bad raspberry!

I am trying amazingly hard not to think I might be pg, I text DP with a list of all my symptoms while I was bored at work and he thinks it all sounds promising. However, I am getting cramps but they are coming and going and my lower back is sore :-( Im still bloated and visiting the toilet every five minutes but not because I need a wee, just to check ERTD hasnt come while I wasnt looking!! I also stared at my boobs this morning and they look a little swollen. eek! I did a very stupid thing though..... I was walking back into my office and put my hand on my tummy and though "oh my god, I think im having a baby". Not the cleverist thing to do as I now cant think about anything else. I am going to test on Thursday morning if I can control myself. God, this is insane, the more I tell myself not to imagine it the more I think I am!!!! Im never going to make it to Thursday at this rate! I have three boots cheapies upstairs Hmm wonder if I can last?

Evening everyone else.... I am off to watch underage and pregnant.

Bellaby · 07/09/2010 21:20

Evening All - just popping in for a quick bottle glass of wine!

Didn't get a chance to check in today. Not quite sure where the day went. Steak & chips for lunch was great although still full now. Didn't stop me snacking this evening though - if only eating a lot was a true symptom! Crazy I love Gaucho. When I first met DH we used to eat there at least once a week Shock. I love Argentinian wine as well! Today I went to Le Relais near bank which is same concept as Entrecote - simple, delicious and quick. I think that you should tell MrCrazy that steak & chips is an essential part of a pg woman's diet - all that iron!

Flick I'm so glad you are feeling better. Was a bit worried when I didn't see a post from you when I woke up. I'm glad you were able to get such good adive on here and it has helped to put your mind at rest. We need you on your finest form! Let me know how you find the reflexology - sounds like a lovely idea. Good luck with the new exercise plan although don't ask people here for motivation as they are all bad influences Wink.

Actually you also inspired me into action today. I POAS this morning.. BFN as I was expecting as zero syptoms but then I went to see the doctor to get a referral and have an appoinment in 2 weeks time so hopefully will be able to see if I can get the old cycles sorted out. Feeling quite happy about it and probably should have done it sooner. Roll on the Christmas Club and hopefully cause to celebrate (or in your case maybe double celebration Wink Grin.

HRCavey - lovely to hear from you. Glad you are having a productive week. Hope all that extra work for your new course doesn't distract you too much from enjoying this week! I'm already missing your words of wisdom so I certainly hope we don't see less of you. Is pinklady going to come back to visit us????

Cherry -it's so lovely to hear from you. I'm so excited for you so please do hang around for a little longer.

Kkas - I really hope that you manage to find a way through this difficult period with your DH. You are one of the first people I remember from this room!

Toria I hope that the house is now looking spotless! I think my one trip to the gym this morning might be it for the week - I have to leave the flat at 7 tomorrow morning for a breakfast meeting and then tomorrow night I'm out for drinks with clients. Not sure once a week qualifies me for 'inspirational' status but thank you anyway. Is there any cake left for me?

Garden - your evening sounds right up my street Grin. Hope the hangover wasn't too bad in the end! Sorry you had to cancel your scan... hope you can get is rescheduled very soon. Not quite sure what to say on your spotting - I find myself very useless when it comes to diagnosing things on here! I hope it is implantation so will keep everything crossed for you.

Josie I hope that you managed to have a lovely evening with your DH and a home-cooked meal. What did you cook? Hope that the SWI plan went according to plan as well! I love that you already have baby stuff. DH & I were disucssing the layout of the rooms in the house at the weekend and I had to point out to him that we need to have at least one bedroom/bathroom that is designed with children in mind i.e with a bath, plenty of storage space for toys etc!

Cherry -I love how you told your DH!

womanly -I really wish I could get into running as I think its one of the best types of exercise to do. unfortunately I have never enjoyed it but a little part of me always thinks I should give it another go. How long do you run for?

Evil - well done on the swimming! Lovely to have you back with us although I kept seeing you pop up on some literature board (or something like that) so I knew you would be back sooner or later Grin

Hello Kurly - thanks for the baby dust and for popping in. Can't wait to hear how everything is going! Thanks for the Gingerbread. What with the cake, the gingerbread and the brownies from Truffkin - this is not a healthy place to hang out Smile!

Truffkin - I have to say that my new found 'motivation' (as above = going once) is due in part to the fact that the gym is downstairs in my flat! So I have very little excuse really as just have to take the lift downstairs. Also DH is getting up early to go too so am trying to use him as my motivation. I get bored very easily so am a big believer in variation. You should definitely try the one by where you live. That way you can tell yourself just to go for 10 minutes without feeling guilty but in reality once you get there chances are you will stay for longer.

Florin glad to hear that TTC has gone well for you this month. Fingers crossed for you. Hope you enjoyed your drinks in London.

Raspberry glad you enjoyed pole dancing. I think all that spinning would make me fall over. I am not keen on spinning now - can't even go on childrens roundabouts without feeling sick! Interested to hear you are doing an OU degree - I was thinking about signing up for one but have been concerned about the workload given that I never seem to have enough time as it is. Wanted to do a photography course with them as I have a nice camera but shamefully don't really know how to use it Hmm. Well done to you on resisting testing so far - your symptoms sound very promising indeed so I have high hopes for you!

Lovliest Lanky I'm really not liking the sound of your new project - definitely sounds like far too much hard work! At least you have your 3 gap years to dream about Wink

Highheels - I hope that you are feeling better today. I might have missed this but did you call the clinic? Is acupuncture the one where they stick pins into you? I have always been intrigued by that x

Hello Tomboy and everyone else that I've missed.

Oh yes and I forgot you asked me when I was moving down full time to Kent Flick. We go down every weekend and then I think when we have kids then we'll live down there full time. I'm really hoping the renovation work is complete by the end of next year (by which time we will have owned the house for 4.5 years without ever living in it!). It might well be that we end up continuing to rent a small flat in London though - can't quite picture in my mind how it will work yet.

Enjoy the rest of your evenings. I'm off to bed to try and read more of the final Stieg Larsson book

xxx

TomboyWife · 07/09/2010 21:21

Evening ladies!

raspberry that all sounds very promising!

Florin sorry to hear that work is stressful. Sad I'm in a bit of a similar situation in that there's major change happening over the next year and if I'm honest now isn't the best time for me to be up the duff. But I'm not getting any younger, so stopping TTC is really not an option.

I am now officially late. No sign of ERTD, but I am getting cramping off and on. I cycled halfway across London this morning to avoid the Tube strike, and I expected all the exertion to coax AF into showing her face. (Then I did it all again in reverse this evening, and I think my quads are in the process of locking up. I'm going to be sore tomorrow...)

I still feel profoundly un-pregnant. The only symptom I've got is dizziness. And I never properly got the EWCM this month, which is why I suspect an anovulatory cycle. I'll give it another couple of days before testing.

I've forgotten who asked about my collarbone. I had my last follow-up a couple of weeks ago and was pronounced all healed up, or at least so close that they don't need to see me again. I'm still lacking a smidge of range of motion in that shoulder, but the consultant thinks that will come back in time.

DH is still in pain, but nothing seems to be going horribly wrong with his finger, so I assume he's also healing up okay. It's not been a great summer for us really. Sad

Bellaby · 07/09/2010 21:22

p.s did manage the whole bottle in the time it took me to write that message Grin

Florin · 07/09/2010 23:07

Hello
Had a few drinks and now got a bottle of red infront of me and dh! It's only the beginnning of the 2ww so I think it's allowed. Picked up. a couple of life jackets from pil seems a bit strange walking round London with them.
tomboy work is so tricky it's living in this sort of limbo, you never know in 2 weeks I could be pregnant then everything will be very different. If I'm pregnant staying where I am would be best however if I wasn't to get pregnant for months I would move-oh I wish I had a crystal ball!
bellaby where abouts is your house in Kent? I'm I'm in Sevenoaks. We bought our house as a wreck but been slowly been doing it up. Luckily dh is a chartered buildng surveyor so he is quite good at doing a lot of stuff and other stuff he always knows good people to get in ( hopefully someone owing him a favour!) hope you get your house done soon

Morning All,

Do you like my new name?! Wink

cave needs to change hers to HRHCavey now!

Can't stop as I have a pile of essays to mark but wanted to pop in and do the list (which I now have to re-do as I have changed my name, d'uhh!)and say hi so bella, lanky and crazy didn't get worried Wink

Will be back later to catch up but for now wanted to say thanks for all the yummy treats that were offered round yesterday mmmm!

Thanks womanly for telling me about your running. The problem I have is that I don't think I persist long enough to get in to 'the zone' as I stop when I start to get out of breath. You have inspired me to keep going so will give it a bash.

bella great news on your appointment. Is your appointment in two weeks with a gynae? You are lucky to get one so quickly.

Thanks kurly- You are a real success story for us wonky cycle girls and a motivation to 'Keeeeep Shaaaagging!' Glad you're feeling better.

Sorry your work is a bit poo at the min florin but great news that you and your dh are excited about this month. I swear a PMA is half the battle so everything crossed for you.

raspberry I m trying not to get too carried away by your symptoms....... What's the latest today?

cherry Love the story of how you told Mr. Cherry! So sweet.

tomboy I think your symptoms sound promising you know.... I did nearly collapse with a heart attack when you wrote about your cycling though. Well done you!

Nice to see you evil glad to hear that you're all excited. Good on you with the swimming- that is my choice of exercise too, nice and relaxing. Do yu have any follow up appointments with your GP or are you just going with the flow now ERTD has arrived (excuse the terrible pun) Blush

!!!!!Truffkin!!!! Wink lets try and keep each other chilled then- deal? Mr. Flick has terrible problems with exclamation marks, yours was not even noticeable by comparison :)

toria enough with the twin talk! Grin Can you imagine?!especially if they give me clomid... I'll be having triplets like garden Wink

I've been thinking about the new thread, a bit prematurely I know but at the rate we chat we'll need a new one soon, just after lanky gets her BFP, and I think we should definitely feature the Three Follicles and The Christmas Club in the title.. what do you all reckon?

Oh, and who was saying that they were following a low GI diet? I can't remember? I have ordered four a book from Amazon today on the low GI diet as I have now diagnosed my self with PCOS and heard that this is the best diet for PCOS suffers. Any tips whoever you were mysteryperson?

ooop, this was much longer than I intended it to be- my marking awaits.

Back later to catch up with the rest of your lovelies.

Newly refreshed list- have moved myself to not counting days as I don't know what my cycle is up to and I think it will be better for my new chilled approach if I am there.

Morning everyone, sorry for me me me post . I'll do a longer hello to everyone later. Just to let u know I poas this morning before my dog walk and it was a BFN :( I guess that's it for me this month re poas? Felt really sad about it as boobs still sore but not other symptoms. My last cycle was 32 days so I think it's defo PMT.

Hope you are all well, when I woke up to the radio this morning the wonderful weather report was " warm with heavy showers" whoop that brightened up my mornin lol.

Wishing for lots of baby dust to be coming down with that rain :-0) found out last night that one of my friends sisters is pregnant , first month of trying and with npolycistic ovaries and is over weight . Really it me inside but couldn't let it show as no one knows we are trying xx

Have a great Wednesday bedtime. Ssorry for any typos nut I can't see what I'm typing I'm thisastbit as I phone gone bananas! Xx

MissFlick · 08/09/2010 07:04

Hang in there alien- you never know, it could still be a BFP. Lots of people get BFN's before their BFP's mrsW, cherry and my lovely friend who is going to have her baby on Fri had 3 BFN's before her BFP.

TomboyWife · 08/09/2010 07:40

Aw, so sorry to hear it alien. But as Flick says, you never know.

raspberrytipple · 08/09/2010 07:51

Morning all, just a quickie from me. Still no ertd. I'm scared to test now to be honest as I'm getting far too excited! Had a major emotional last night, sobbed my little heart out although god knows why!!! alien sorry to hear that but if it hssnt arrived my Saturday the test again! Fingers crossed for you xx

MissFlick · 08/09/2010 08:00

Well done raspberry on your not testing! Just get through today and then you can test in the morning as planned. Totally understand your fear xxx

SaorAlba · 08/09/2010 08:22

Talking of BFNs, I checked my diary and I had a 32 day cycle. I think I ovulated around cd20. I had a BFN at cd33, another at cd36 (16 DPO)and my BFP at cd40, so getting a bfn early on does not necessarily mean ERTD is around the corner!

Haven't had a chance to catch up properly with all your posts, but am sending you'll lots of positive thoughts :)

Also, live the new name missflick

HRHCavey · 08/09/2010 09:01

Morning ladies. My word you can chat!

Hope the name-change meets your approval MissFlick Wink

Just another pit stop from me to say hi. DH and I spent most of yesterday preparing our spare room to be my study space - putting up shelves, hunting out my old college books from the loft, etc.

Can't remember who asked, that'll teach me for posting on my iPhone, but I am studying a Foundation Degree in the Horseracing Industry. It sounds a little "mickey mouse" I guess but it is something that will help with my career. I also have the option of topping it up to a full Masters.

I didn't go to Uni when I was younger as I knew what I wanted to do with my life - work with horses. I did a BTEC in Horse Management when I left school but then went straight into a job.

This degree gives me the best of both worlds - I've got my job and years of experience behind me so now I can "prove" my qualifications with the degree. Plus my employer is paying for the degree!

On the PinkLady front, when we had dinner last week she said she was still lurking but had been too busy to post. She also said she had classic ERTD symptoms so I imagine that has arrived by now.

Right off to hunt out more veterinary books!

JosieSmith1 · 08/09/2010 09:12

Thanks Toria, that made way more sense than google!

Florin glad you got some good SWI in this month Grin Sorry you had a horrid day at work though, it?s awful here too ? everyone is under so much pressure they?re all taking it out on each other and us admin so the atmosphere is not nice, and my bestest buddy is ditching us in November to go around the world (how selfish Envy) so I?ll be all on me todd!

Cavemum good luck with the coursework! I?m doing a sort of OU course, it the open college of equine studies. I was doing a degree but now I?m doing an HND as it was too much work along with everything you mentioned. Got a whole lot harder when I got the horse too, I do most of it in work lunchbreaks now!

Cherry I?d like to do something like that but DH would kill me if I tested without telling him. I?ve planned to tell my Mam by saying I?ve got something to show her (she?ll guess straight away if I say I?ve got to tell her something) and show her the scan and say ?meet your grandson/daughter?. The day may arrive sometime (whistful emoticon).

Raspberry, never touch the tummy! Grin I have to avoid it at all costs. I had a moment like that last time but it turns out I wasn?t, was just imagining things. Think I?m going to become one of those women who goes into hopsital and does a runner with someone else?s baby! Grin

Glad you?re getting something sorted with cycles Bellaby. I made coq au vin with garlicky potatoes last night and although it wasn?t as good as last time I did it it was still gorgeous, and the SWI plan did indeed go to plan GrinGrin Although we have baby stuff, it?s only because it was going free and will save us some money, I refuse to buy anything yet and refuse to plan a nursery, as much as I want to, just because I always thought it would be easy and happen really quickly for us, but now that it hasn?t, I?ve started worrying that maybe it?ll never happen and I don?t want to get too excited over it, just in case. Plus we might be looking at moving in March. Though if I do find out I?m pg, ever, I?ll go absolutely nuts and will have planned the whole house!

Sorry you?ve had a bad summer Tomboy but hope you get a BFP! Fingers crossed!

Sorry you got a BFN Alien but it aint over till it?s over! There?s time yet

Nothing to report here. I?m on day 20 of 2ww but I will not crazy symptom spot and I will not test early (hmmm?)

Hi hi!!

Loving the name changes :)

Twas me who asked about your degree HRH. It's so lovely that you are doing your dream job. I didn't ever really have one, other than to be a barrister and that went down the pan when I left Uni one term in Blush

Good luck with the degree course; it definitely helps when you're studying something you're passionate about. It's much less of a chore!

Alien sorry about your BFN but there's time yet. The end of your post made me laugh a lot, chuckle chuckle. Did you mean have a nice bedtime?!

Good luck for your POAS raspberry, everything crossed!!

MissFlick Wink I think it is garden who did the GI? I did the GI diet for a while and found it really easy because there are still certain 'treats' you can still have. There are quite a few online resources too which offer recipes and lists of 'good' and 'bad' foods. It definitely gave me more energy.

Bellaby I am STILL craving steak you bad girl planting ideas in my innocent head! I would have dragged Mr Crazy for one by now but he's on a course now and I won't see him until the airport on Friday! I am really fussy about steaks, I love Gaucho and the only other place I will have one is at a tiny little place in Blackheath Village which you must try if you like Gaucho (I think it's even better!). It's called Buenos Aires and is owned by an Argentinean couple. It is amaaaaaazing . Anyway, that means I have to wait till we are back on Tuesday. I've added Le Relais to the list of places to try, thanks!

I'm good, am finding it hard to dress for work as all the carbs and fizzy drinks I have been craving have meant I have ballooned - not in a pg way just in a bloaty unattractive way. But trousers are really uncomfortable and it's way too early to buy maternity trousers... so I am stuck with dresses, in the rain. Yuk.

Hope you are all well and keeping up the shagathons Grin

Josie good luck with your studying! I think The Open College of Equine Studies are involved in my course though I'm doing it through Warwickshire College and Coventry Uni.

My first assignment is a 1,000 word essay and a 10min presentation on a subject I have to choose from a list of veterinary topics.

Looking at the marks awarded for the essay it seems that this first one is more about my writing skills rather than the content as only 20% of the marks are for content!

Morning ladies

MissFlick and HRHCavey excellent work on the name changes!

MissFlick I do the GI diet - I started it before I realised my ovaries were pants and it made SUCH a difference. It was the first diet where I actually lost weight rather than being knackered but still fat. Also my cycles snapped into being very regular for the first time in years.

Alien don't loose heart! As everyone else has said, there have been loads of BFNs around ERTD time that turned out to be shy BFPs that weren't quite ready to say hello yet

Josie be strong with the symptom spotting! Am keeping my fingers crossed for you

Waves to everyone else and sorry for short post - off to brave the rain and go to work

Hello people,
Happy GREY morning to you :)
bellaby I run for 40 minutes now. Started out with 20 minutes + 20 minutes walking. Now I run for the whole bit. I am due again to increase the output but am off on holiday so avoiding setting the next benchmark - lol.
tomboy Sorry about the poor summer you and Dh are having - Are you charting as well? It is really tricky to pin point ovulation - - fingers crossed for ERTD not showing up.
florin all the very best to you in your 2ww.
missflick love the new name incidentally about the running..just after I told you about the zone...I get my butt off to run in the evening yesterday and gosh was it mighty hard... There was just no ZONE is sight...there I was heaving and puffing thinking how the h£*& am I going to finish this run... so it's really a touch and go thing - that zone thing! LOL All the best in giving running a go.
giraffe I love to swim too though get lazy with all the getting ready before and after bits...so rarely go.. I do plan on starting up again though when I get back from holiday - twice a week ...I loved the toned & firmness that swimming does to your body...
missflick I follow a low GI/GL diet and can be on the helpline given the number of books I've read on the subject... YES - it's SUPER FAB for PCOS women and I am proof.. So GI is the index of foods and GL is Glyceamic Load ie, based on portioning how much of sugar does a particular food convert into in our bodies..it's a small but KEY difference... This is because the index is based on 100gms of a particular food but if you had 10gms then, the index is no longer valid. So a successful way to do this is to choose low GI foods and also keep a keen eye on portioning. A book I strongly recommend Rick Gallops' GI clinic He divides up the foods into traffic lights - red, green, yellow has meal plans and shopping lists and recipes --> VERY SOUND stuff. I have it in spreadsheet format, if you're interested - send me an email and I'll send it to you. ([email protected])
alien Terribly sorry for the bfn hon.. TTC is so hard Banish the friend sister from your universe for awhile it's not fair to you to be hearing of such stuff. (I too get terribly emotional when I hear of folks getting pregnant, or if I see pregnant folks DH sometimes worries about how seeing a pregnant woman in a store will inevitably have me comment on how everybody is getting preg except for....) Lots of baby dust to you and it aint over till ERTD shows up. Thank you saor for sharing your bfn story... So hang in there alien you might be next on our bfp wagon for September :) All things crossed for you!
hrh I love the new name. I think it's fab that you know what you want to do in your life so early on.. Best of luck with your degree - and knowing how organized you are, I am sure you'll do very well.
