Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

ack kkas I know that "every time I close my eyes I want to be sick" pre-hangover feeling! Hope the lime and soda does the trick. What a love DH sounds! My cure is fat coke and stodgy, salty cards but thats just the classy way I rock.

crazy love blackheath - DH and I were in Canary Wharf before moving to the sticks last year. Blackheath seems a very good place to raise a brood of butterflybabies - always lots of yummy mummies with prams and acres of green.

flick order that pizza! Enjoy your night - sounds heavenly.

Truffkin · 03/09/2010 12:27

Happy Friday Frolickers, it's busy in the Three Follicles already must be the lunch time rush

Garden sorry you're feeling down, another scan next week seems to be a good way to proceed as the previous one was so early. There is no point you feeling low about a 'what if' situation and hopefully the scan could give you more clarity. I'd get emailing your consultant for a professional opinion. Also, I have absolutely nothing useful to say about Agas, I can't imagine having the type of house that would warrant one as I'm very much a city girl and will always chose an apartment over sprawling country house. Mr T is very much thinking along the lines of moving to a house-with-garden if we do end up sprogged so I might be outvoted.

Flick I'm already having pizza thoughts for this evening, we're off to watch the England match so it will be too late for cooking Wink Lovely to have the house to yourself, it rarely happens for me either but I do enjoy a 'me' night when the opportunity presents itself.

Cobbles have everything crossed for you my love, really hoping ERTD stays away and you can test on Sunday. 4 BFPs in a week would be unbelievable! Have just signed up for reflexology as we have a great Health & Wellbeing team at work and these things are really well priced. I've heard great things about it so am looking forward to getting started.

Josie you never know, one time is all it takes and it could be your lucky month. If not, think about that Christmas day announcement (I had secretly hoped for this when we started TTCing as I'm a total freak about Christmas and would love to have news like this for our families on my favourite day)

Kaloki this time next week!! Hope things are looking up and you've sorted the annoingly last minute hitches. As everyone else has said, you probably won't even notice on the day if anything is not exactly as planned. Quite a few things happened on our wedding day that I would have freaked out about but on the day I didn;t even notice!

Had a ridiculously busy day yesterday so am hoping to spend my day on MN take it a bit easier today.

gardenpixie · 03/09/2010 12:27

polka dot aga

Found a piccy!!

Good going on the night out kkas Grin am fixing a lime and soda with a couple of pain killers on the side for you. Bacon sandwich too?

Truffkin · 03/09/2010 12:29

cross posted there but just wanted to offer my hangover cure KKas which is mini calippos - always works (or failing that, hair of the dog? too early? anyone?)

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 12:30

kkas sounds like a heavy night! I just can't do those any more, I am rubbish since I turned 26 30.

Your DH sounds like a little treasure! x

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 12:34

cherry we are planning on moving from blackheath before mini butterfly is born! I do love it but the house prices are INSANE and I am just fed up of London really. My hangover cure is the same as yours - fat coke and ready salted walkers please Wink

Where in the sticks are you?

WOW I WANT THAT AGA I bet everything tastes better when it's been cooked in that. And is more healthy/slimming/nutritious.

JosieSmith1 · 03/09/2010 12:58

Oh my god that AGA is beautiful! I actually squealed when I saw it! Grin

Garden I know this is different and I am in no way comparing you to my dog, but she is terminally ill and needs constant medication but recently she's been getting symptoms so we took her for a test to check her levels of whatever it is they check to see if she needed her meds increased, but the vet said they were fine, so I didn't know where to go and was really confused, but I spoke to my vet this morning and explained exactly what was happening and how I felt, and she's come up with a good plan and really put my fears at ease so hopefully my little mite will be all better soon.

I just thought if you spoke to your doctor they could maybe do the same for you and give you something a bit more solid to go with

Truffkin · 03/09/2010 12:58

Loving the Emma Bridgewater collaboration Garden am a big fan of hers (testament to which is the fact that several friends have received his n hers personalised mugs as wedding gifts recently) could you do something with subscribers from the Emma Bridgewater website? Although I am one and am not an aga fan, I am fairly sure that others will be more well to do peeps who would love an aga and if it comes with Emma Bridgewater style polka dots, even better!

kkas · 03/09/2010 13:12

thanks for hangover tips guys. yes please to the bacon sandwich garden thanks for taking care of me guys!

crazy i'm sure you're right about food cooked in that lovely AGA!

felicityFlick · 03/09/2010 13:29

Pizza has arrived! MMMMM- I am such a little piggy :) and I am one episode of Waterloo road down.

Loving the lunch time rush in the follicles.

Hope you feel better soon kkas I am awful with a hangover so you huge respect from me for just being able to function today and type! Your DH sound lovely, bless him.

I agree on the hangover cure of fat coke and ready salted crisps although when I am truly hungover I can't even eat :( URGHHH

Mini callipos sound great as a cure truffkin glad you're enjoying some quality MN time today. Enjoy the England game- lucky! I am also going to sign up for some reflexology once my stupid ERTD appears. I love Christmas too, so much so that I had my wedding on the 20th December and it was just like one big Christmas party. We had a Christmas dinner for the meal, a huge Christmas tree and my bridesmaids were in gorgeous red. I had the most lovely bouquet of red roses, holly berries, ivy and fur cones. You would have loved it being a Christmas freak!

I love Blackheath crazy I was in Charlton for a year and lived at Blackheath standard and then moved east side to scummy Stratford for my job. In the neighbouring borough to you in fact kkas! My very good friend, who is having her baby next Friday (by ELCS), lives in Blackheath so I was there over the summer, sampling the delights of the many coffee shops. Perhaps I saw you!

Hope the cramps are ok cherry My ERTD is not far away now, I imagine perhaps 5 days away. I can tell because I have my usual pre period sore, 'excited' nipples. They sound like crazy and kurlys prego nips except for I always get them a week before my period- weird hey? On that note, I'll leave you to your lunches Grin

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 13:41

flick I often get too hungover to eat too. The morning after Aqua actually, i spent my first full day in HK hugging the toilet in our room at the Intercontinental. I was NOT in the good books. Your pizza has made me very hungry - I can almost smell it!! I hope your friend's birth goes well. Your wedding sounds amazing!!!

Me and my prego nips have just realised I can have an early scan paid for by my health insurance. wooohoo! Am chuffed - because I am so early I know I will spend the next 6 weeks worrying if anything's happening. So I am going to book one for week 8 I think!

xx

felicityFlick · 03/09/2010 14:35

Excellent! So how many weeks will that be? 3 and a half ish?
So exciting. Have you told any RL people yet, other than Mr.CB of course?!

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 14:40

I am 4 weeks today :) so about 4 weeks' time I think.

I have told my boss because I thought it would be wise in case of any sickness and my best friends. I sort of thought I would tell people who i would need to support me if I had any problems... so just a few, then more after 10-12 weeks I think.

It still doesn't seem real though.

PS: I am so pleased I can still hang out in here, I would really miss you all!! If I am peeing anyone off by loitering then please tell me. I am a tough cookie and could take it Grin

Truffkin · 03/09/2010 14:45

With you on the Christmas wedding Flick ! I seriously considered but my birthday is so close to Christmas that I wanted something to celebrate mid year. My sister however got married in December and went for the Christmas theme so I massively went to town and made her cake (a cake stand filled with mini choc muffins iced with white chocolate and with tiny miniature holly springs on top so they looked like Christmas puddings!), table plan, table decorations, table numbers and name cards.

She got married in red (and looked unbelievably amazing) and had a little gold crown perched on top of her head - I did spend a lot of time swooning at the loveliness of it all that day.

Too hungover to eat? No such thing for me I'm afraid. I tend not to get sick though, more that empty hole feeling (that needs filling with lovely and very bad for me food) I could literally snack all day on a hangover.

I've just polished off a steak wrap with some potato wedges for my lunch. We have a great canteen at work, which can be lethal but is great for a fry up on a hangover. As we're off to the match later, I felt I needed to fill up on stodge to slow down my descent into drunksville soak up the beer.

felicityFlick · 03/09/2010 14:57

Oh your sister's wedding sounds lovely truff I love the cake idea, I'd steal it if I wasn't already married. Lets get those BFPs next month so we can have the best Christmas news ever :) When ERTD arrives I am going to bloody well do everything I can to get up the duff this month. Your canteen sounds lush- It would lethal for me.

Glad you're still here crazy! I think thats sensible to tell the people you would want to know if you had any problems- I'd do the same. Plus I think I'll need people to help me cover up the lack of drinking by ordering me soft drinks in a round and pretending they're alcoholic.

kurlyvoice · 03/09/2010 16:32

IT'S THE WEEKEND! Grin

womanly, I was just reading back and forgot to mention one of our keys to success: Conceive Plus. I got it from Boots but could probably have got it a bit cheaper from Amazon (but you don't get Advantage Card points there!). We found it helped a lot with any dryness/tenderness this last session and, well, now I'm pregnant! It's just like normal lubricant but slightly more watery and DH quite liked using it too. Blush

Nothing from me to report except feeling queasy/knackered/sore-backed and am trying to work out how to tell my Mum on Sunday (they have a holiday put in their Google Calendar for the start of May and I don't want them to go if I'm going to be exploding a baby out!). I only hope they can keep a secret - but they were very good when DH asked my Dad's permission for my hand in marriage several days before he actually proposed so I think I can trust them!

How's everyone else doing? LOVING the EmmaB Aga, by the way. And garden, doctors are rubbish and need pushing A LOT. Just keep asking and don't feel bad about it.

womanlytales · 03/09/2010 17:25

Thank you kurly - have a great weekend :)

CaveMum · 03/09/2010 18:04

Evening all, you are all so chatty I can hardly keep up!

So that's me all done with work for a week. Whoop Whoop!!!!!
The past few days I've just felt thoroughly fed up at work so this week off will do me the world of good - hoping to get plenty of SWI-ing in too Wink.

Right, need to write my shopping list so that DH and I can head to the supermarket as soon as he gets in from work. I shall try to pop back later for a proper catch up.

Florin · 03/09/2010 18:49

A lot of us seem to be in the London area. I live just outside the M25, used to work in london but now work locally DH still works in London most of the time though. I still love going up for nights out though, get a bit clostrophobic sometimes working in a tiny town and living in one not that much bigger!
Dh at a stag night tonight so I have a night to myself.Poured myself a glass of wine, planning on a nice hot bath with a bath bomb I have been saving and lots of crap on tv and mumsnetting while pampering myself lots as I have the hen do tomorrow night!
Cavemum So jealous of your week off-enjoy!
Flick I so want to get pregnant this month, would be lovely to tell everyone at Christmas. My parents always have a big party at our house so would be lovely to share it with everyone then.
Garden I want that aga I love Emma Bridgewater, even sent the link to dh!

TomboyWife · 03/09/2010 20:28

Evening ladies, and thank $%%£@ it's the weekend!

When DH and I first started going out, he was renting a room in a house with an Aga. It was indeed very nice if not polka-dotted.

Sorry about the hangover kkas. I was a bit unhappy today myself and had to skip my usual evening workout as I didn't think I could manage it. Bah.

And now it's time to watch what's left of the England match and eat Japanese curry. Grin

cherrycobbler · 03/09/2010 21:22

Fuck me I just caved and did a first response and got a BFP. Sorry for potty mouth but am in such shock DH is not home and have been going round house just unable to say anything else. Aaaaahhhhhhh. Still really early days and lots of miscarriages in my family so trying not to get too excited. Aaaaaaaaaahhgggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Florin · 03/09/2010 21:25

Cherry oh my god congratulations! That is fantastic news. Can't believe all the BFP's its an epidemic!
How you going to tell your dh?
Will keep my fingers crossed for you that it's a sticky one

cherrycobbler · 03/09/2010 21:28
