Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

Wah Cherry I was exactly the same at the fat duck - totalt tastebud meltdown - it was like a massive attack to the tastebuds- was worth it though!

Truffkin would rec it. I tried to get a table at La Gavroche but was fully booked (and this was 3 months ago!)

Kkas that is a shame about the bleeding heart - so annoying when that happens as its such a treat and its not like you eat in places like that every week. Pleased your transition out is going well too - new start is always good! Good luck with your tests - good to crack on and just put mind at peace at least. Also - am not sure why your DH can't jizz in a pot on the NHS? I take you are around London somewhere? We had no troubles with that - seems strange that you have to fund this on your own - have you looked online to see what your SHA offers? .(p.s glad to have you back chatting we missed you!)

Toria hope you are enjoying your evening baking and chilling!

Hello to rasberry and highheels - enjoy the movies!

Will catch up properly tomorrow - seriously could talk for britain when it comes to food an restaurants!

It's not quite opening time at The Three Follicles but here I am anyway.

garden? We missed you!I don't think you should be allowed to have meetings.

kurly bet you can?t wait until Monday for your appointment! Do you have any estimation of when your due date would be? Sounds like you are aiming for the end of April or the very start of May? No, you?re not a loser for taking pics of your tests! I think I?d probably do the same! I was meaning to ask you, did you have any symptoms that made you think you should test or had you just been doing sporadic ones just to check?Just one more day to make it through and then you can have a nice relax at the weekend.

cherry totally get you with the guilt free poas-ing! I feel that they are so cheap, it?s almost rude not to use them Wink Love the humous pot :) Glad ERTD is still away for you though hon. If you feel the need to HTFU, I recommend Toria?s video Grin I am with you in the rolling up the sleeves for next month and in preparation spend 70 quid on vitamins last night Shock I am sure they will do nothing but they made me feel better and that?s what counts right?! Grin Just need ERTD to arrive now as I am clearly not pregnant. but did- another test this morn just because I could Am loving raspberry?s plan! Lets both aim for that, what a nice Christmas day treat that would be for everyone- I am almost pleased I?m not pregnant this month!

lanky did you ring up for the blood test? I am going to nag until you have :) I want to go to the Fat Buck and aim to get Mr. Flicks parents to take us when we?re home over Christmas. Of course this will be just after we have told them we are having a baby.

However, raspberry it is still very early. Some BFPs don?t show up until you are actualy late so hang in there chick!

josie good luck with all the SWI-ing. Yep, KKAS is right, CBFM is Clearblue fertility monitor :)

kaloki sorry you?re still feeling rough and also sorry about all the extra cash you have to shell out. Weddings are expensive as they are without having to pay for things you thought were free! Do you have an appointment for your ultrasound? I think you should share the worry with your dp, I know it is so cliche but I always find that if I share a problem then I feel better.

crazy Come and tell us what the doc says ASAP! Hope it?s sinking in a little more now :) When was your honeymoon in Honkers? I wish it was now so we could have met for a drink :) Funny you should mention Aqua as I am taking Mr. Flick there next Saturday for some cocktails. Also, wanted to ask where do you live that makes Knightsbridge a schlep? Just wondering cos I was in East London for four years and it was such a mission to get to Knightsbridge from there!

Hi kkas how strange about your dh?s SA? Definitely chase it up with your GP as that sounds very suspicious. If that is the case and if your GP is nice perhaps she can write a loosely worded letter that says you are undergoing fertility investigations and get round it that way? I was a huge fan of Cinnamon Kitchen when I was in London- MMMM

toria I know, I feel the same about people younger than me being in those positions! It makes me feel so old! I just checked out that video- made me laugh! Any of that cheesecake going spare? I know it?s for dinner tonight but maybe you could save me a small piece?!

Hi dessie hope the funeral went as well as can be expected for a funeral :( Work sounds crazy for you. Hope Sunday is here before you now it an dthat you can partake in some SWI.

Anyway, enough rambling for now. I am so looking forward to the weekend! Tonight Mr. Flick is out so I am going to go home via M&S and get something gorge for my tea, sit on our new L-shaped sofa that was delivered yesterday and catch up on Eastenders, Waterloo Road and any other rubbish I can find on Iplayer or channel 4OD. I can?t wait! Sad I know, but I never get time in the house on my own :) I shall also, of course, be partaking in a spot of Mnetting!

CaveMum · 03/09/2010 07:07

Morning all. You lot were busy chatting yesterday!

I had a lovely day at Salisbury, but it was very long - left home at 7.45am and got back at 9.30pm. I'm so glad today is Friday and, of course, that I have next week off [smug] Wink.

Flick thanks for the link on Agnes Castus, it was definitely reassuring. I hadn't realised that it has been so widely used for a number of years.

kaloki sorry to hear about the extra wedding stress. It's a cliche but try to remain focussed on the outcome - you'll be married- and all the stresses will melt away.
I remember being so worried about the weather on our wedding day, but when I got up that morning I said to myself "Bugger the weather, I'm getting married today!" In the end the day was wonderful with plenty of lovely warm sunshine!

to everyone else!

kurlyvoice · 03/09/2010 07:08

Morning, Sgt Flick - Private Kurly reporting for duty!

My symptoms were: (TMI alert) really sore/sensitive nipples for AGES - couldn't bear for them to be touched, actually; needing a wee a lot for the past week or so; being very tired and feeling queasy (but that only kicked in on Monday); and a "feeling"!

I also totally want to know if my ultrasound doctor saw anything last Tuesday because he said NOTHING except that he was checking whether I was hiding a baby in there... And it took ages because he did an internal too!

Anyway, I must get up and have my shower, although I'd much rather stay in bed!

TomboyWife · 03/09/2010 08:47

Morning ladies!

Sorry about the wedding stress kaloki. Like everyone says, just stay focused on the end result, and when the big day does arrive enjoy it! In the run-up to my wedding I kept having nightmares that the catering all went wrong/we'd forgotten to invite any guests/I couldn't marry DH because I was already married to someone else/etc. All worth it in the end, though there were days when it didn't feel like it!

Well, I've gone from being convinced I got pg last month, to being convinced I'm not pg at all. No symptoms of any sort this week, and I've 'celebrated' by going out and getting drunk with my workmates two nights in a row. Blush If by some fluke I am pg I'm going to feel so incredibly guilty -- but like I say, I'm very sure it ain't happening this month.

womanlytales · 03/09/2010 09:06

Hello all it is really busy in here and can't wait to go to the Three Follicles All the rest talk is fab... Note to self - Make a list and start checking these places out..
kaloki Totally agree with cavemum - Am excited for you Do post pictures of your hair :)
kurly Thanks for sharing symptoms :)
Have a good weekend.

LankyLegs · 03/09/2010 09:55

Good morning frolickers

tomboy how is your DH? I hope that no symptoms is a good sign for you ? you never know right? When are you due on? Don feel bad about boozing ? hey I am off to consume my body weigh and booze this afternoon and I am supposed to be ovulating today/tomorrow ? but damn me if I am going to stop living life until I actually get pregnant- hasn?t worked for 11 months!

Womanly hope the SWI-ing is going well post clomid ? keeping an eye on you and hoping it will be your month chica.

Kurly lovely to hear from you ? has it sunk it yet? Thanks for letting us know about your symptoms ? we are all crackers here and any excuse for more symptoms to add to the list for spotting are good!

Flick hope you have a lovely evening vegging out this evening ? sounds lush! I haven?t had a night in on my own in ages but I love them! Reminds me of the single days when I used to spend evenings with face masks on and painting nails! Although I am sat here at home with one of those biore nose thingy?s on my nose right now!

Hello to everyone else ? hope lovely evenings were had! I got on the SWI-wagon last night and not sure how successful the next 2 days will be being a)drunk or b) hungover Blush Very bad of me I know! I better crack on getting ready for lunch/ working from home before I head out.

Have great days/weekends all and pleeeeease don?t let the

JosieSmith1 · 03/09/2010 10:17

Morning everyone

Looks like it's going to be a busy day here again so I might not be on much but will try and join you at the Three Follicles this evening Grin

I am officially in my 2ww but due to bits and bobs we have only SWI once [hmph emoticon] but going to go for it again tonight in a last chance saloon type way Grin, then I can resume crazy symptom spotting again as I'm sure you all miss my crazy and not at all made up symptoms Grin Really not holding out much hope for this cycle though.

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 10:33

Morning all, just a quick pop in to say the GP went well.

It's pretty shocking that they don't test you or anything, just "oh great, here are some papers, let me do your BP, now off you pop and no eating brie!" Confused

Now a very long 6 week wait till The Scan. I think I will keep testing till then Blush I am so nervous, even though I know that's bad... I am trying to stay calm but it's tough.

flick our Honeymoon was December 2008, we had an awesome time in Honkers before flying off to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. If you haven't been to Laos yet i highly recommend you going for a long weekend or something. It it amazing - Luang Prabang in particular. Have fun at Aqua, I loved it there!!

cavey am tres jealous of your week off, and the weather is looking good! How is the house purchase coming along??

lanky good work on the SWI, I say go for it even when drunk - for practice if nothing else Wink

Hi to everyone else... must get on with watching tv work now as was v late in this morning! HAPPY FRIDAY xx

gardenpixie · 03/09/2010 10:38

Good lord Frolickers, I must make sure I do not go to any more meetings ever again - can't believe how much chat I missed!

First off an ENORMOUS congrats to Crazy - I hope the drs appt went well and that you and Mr Crazy are swimmingly thrilled about your impending little butterfly (does that mean he / she is currently a cocoon?) Grin

Flick can I join you in the three follicles please? It's a bit early in the London branch to start drinking but hey, it's a Friday and it's Mr Garden's birthday so I might bring him along for a glass or three as well!

Cave and womanly thanks for your advice and thoughts on the three follicles (actuals, not the pub). Still feeling really confused and down about everything as I am now concerned that although I thought I was ovulating, maybe I'm not. However, I might give it a few more days and then book another scan. Or I might wait until I think I've ov'd and go for a progesterone test. Or I might just give up and go back to bed for the rest of this cycle.

Josie definietly get SWI-ing! Hopefully the time pressure will make the swimmers super committed and they will get their best and fastest wriggle on. "No time to lose chaps, hurry up at the back, come on boys, follow me" etc

Right, best get back to work. Today I am working on a project for posh cookers. Any thoughts about what would make someone buy a cooker for £8,000 gratefully received!

Big waves to everyone else! See you all for drinks later? I am so proud that, even if this cycle doesn't end in a BFP for me, at least it's given us a GREAT pub name xx

JosieSmith1 · 03/09/2010 10:55

Ha ha Garden I hope they do pull their fingers little swimmers out and go for it Grin

Sorry you're not feeling too good at the minute, it's hard to know what to do for the best. Could you perhaps ring the doctor and discuss your best course of action?

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 10:58

Thanks crazy - I do have a cocoon Grin think I might use that one!

Sorry to hear you're feeling frustrated; I totally understand why you would and I think you are more than entitled! Perhaps you could call your GP and discuss it with him/her?

Ooooh, £8k. Is it an Aga? I would die for one. The funny thing is that people spending that much on a cooker probably don't even use it, they will have staff!!

and Happy Birthday to Mr GP! xx

cherrycobbler · 03/09/2010 11:10

Happy birthday Mr Garden! Garden sorry to hear you're feeling a bit up and down. Booking a later scan/ going for a progesterone test after you think you may have ov'ed sounds like a good plan. Particularly as the first scan seemed so early in your cycle - I only ov around 20/21, so if you're at all similar then the first scan would have been reeaaallly pre ov and maybe not that accurate.

Flick loving your vitamin splurge - sounds like a good plan. Where is Toria's video? Did I miss a link to it in a previous post??

No news in the Cherry household. Les cramps continue, but no ERTD yet. Hoping it doesn't turn up for at least another nine months (haha!) but if it MUST turn up then hope it does on Sunday as have wedding to go to tomorrow and I always feel exhausted and in pain on first day of ERTD. I did feel breathless from running for the train faint on the train this morning but a speedy pain au chocolat soon sorted me out so doubt it was anything out of the ordinary. I love my internet cheapies despite the constant BFNs but I may tempt fate and buy a First response to use, you know, just in case ERTD doesn't turn up by tomorrow eve and I'm one of those women who can't see lines on cheapies etc etc. Thanks for asking Lanky and enjoy your amazing lunch! looking fwd to hearing full and detailed report.

Crazy I would feel the same about doc appt. Only six weeks to your scan - that means you'll be about 10 wks, is that right? V exciting, hope time flies in a very non-dramatic and non eventful way. How are you and Mr C feeling?

Big FRIDAY wave to everyone else - best get on with some work. Yawn.

gardenpixie · 03/09/2010 11:13

Hi Crazy yes it is AGA . They have a new product coming out which I am helping on. So lovely spending time in their shops stroking their beautiful cookers. They even have a polka dot one which cracks me up.

Thanks crazy and josie for making me feel less bonkers about being in a bit of a black hole. I think I might email my consultant and ask - she is usually very good at getting back to me.

I suppose from her point of view, writing off a cycle until I up the clomid dose isn't a problem but for me it is! While it's lovely that it's Mr G's birthday, it also means it's now been three years since we stopped using contraception. Granted there were issues with his swimmers which were only sorted out earlier this year but it's just been such a long time and I'm really feeling hopeless about it all.

Might just get a new puppy instead! Grin

gardenpixie · 03/09/2010 11:15

Thanks cherry I think you're right - having a scan over a week before I think I ov really isn't going to show much .... I think I might get one booked in for next week then I can at least stop obsessing!

I am keeping my fingers crossed your ERTD stays well away! xx

felicityFlick · 03/09/2010 11:32

A polka dot AGA?! Wow!! Who would have thought?! Sorry you are feeling down lovelygarden* Here is a very special porn star cocktail with birthday sparklers in for you,one of the three follicles finest :)I think a scan next week would be helpful as at least then you would know what's what. It's the wondering that's the real killer isn't it?What are you doing tonight for Mr. G's birthday? Hope it is something lovely to cheer you up.

[wink}

Have the best day lanky!! So Envy what are you wearing out for the big event? I'd like to live vicariously through you whilst I slob in my PJ's on the sofa :)

Not been to Laos Crazy will check it out as we have a half term coming up soon. Did you get married in December 2008? That's when I got married :) Grin at the fat buck! About right :)

felicityFlick · 03/09/2010 11:33

Whoopsie! don't know what's going on with my bold there! Am having a bad day for typos it seems Grin

cherrycobbler · 03/09/2010 11:41

Garden boo boo boo re feeling blue. Its hard not to count time and feel rubbish about the whole thing. Were you thinking about reflexology/ acupuncture? Although I don't think reflexology helped with making a babyCherry, it did really chill me out, which is half the battle, so I recommend it. Also planning to take up Pilates next month - used to do it and loooved it before becoming unfit lard ball. My v good friend has been TTC for almost a year after miscarriage and swears by yoga for keeping her sane. On a happier note - maybe asking to be donated a polka dot AGA would help?? Frankly if I had £8k (and a house in the country!) I'd buy one at the drop of a hat with no sales pitch! I saw a Cath Kidston one the other day - is that the polka dot one?

Thanks for the link Flick!

felicityFlick · 03/09/2010 11:53

No way, there is a Cath Kidston AGA? I want one! Trying to decide whether to be a fat pig and order a pizza or not???

gardenpixie · 03/09/2010 11:53

Hi cherry yes that's the one! Gorgeous isn't it?

Thanks Flick for the cocktail! Mr G and I are off to a jazz club for dinner and dancing tonight and then we are having friends round for dinner tomorrow as well. Sadly no polka dot AGA to cook on though ...!

gardenpixie · 03/09/2010 11:54

Flick do it, order pizza!!! xx

crazybutterflylady · 03/09/2010 12:01

OMG a spotty AGA! Wow! At least it would coordinate with my face :)

flick order a pizza!!!!

We got married in October 08 - but we went on HM over Christmas to avoid parental squabbles about Christmas Custody Grin

Oh and we live in Blackheath atm.

You really must go to Laos, it is stunning. We stayed at the Maison Souvannaphoum which was really lovely but La Residence is also supposed to be amazing - though it is further out from the town and was full when we booked. I loved Cambodia too but it's becoming a lot more commercial whereas Laos seems untouched.

Hope you have a lovely time tonight garden - if you get any sample polka dot Agas you know where to send em!

cherry I am with you on the reflexology. I LOVED it.

xx

kkas · 03/09/2010 12:17

do they serve lime and soda here? no pornstars for me please. still recovering from heavy sesh out with clients last night. DH was so lovely though - picking me up from the station at 12:30, helping me into pjs, cleaning up sick on said pjs, getting me into the shower, and staying up to watch eastenders in the middle of the night since everytime i closed my eyes and tried to sleep i felt sick again.... don't know what i'd do without him. and don't know why i do it to myself! prob don't deserve to have a baby with that appalling behaviour! don't mind me - i'll just sit here in the corner and sip my soda and occasionally perk up for talk about polka dot agas Wink

flick good idea re asking my gp for a letter. lanky i'm in havering, which is a london borough, so not sure why that trust would be different to other london areas.... i know it sounds totally weird toria and part of me thinks maybe DH misunderstood (bless) so i will definitely follow up on this!

lanky enjoy your day today. i'm imagining you tucking in to your lovely lunch right about now! so jealous :) we def want the report when you're back.

cherry keep us posted on Les Cramps front.

crazy glad the gp went well.
