Ha ha! There was I thinking 'Gosh, the new thread has attracted lots of people posting already!' instead of which I come on here and find Knitter all on her own, talking to herself!!! Grin Grin Grin Hi Knitter!

MummyAbroad · 23/09/2010 16:28

Nice in here!

I have just been and done a quantitive blood test!! Going to pick up the results in 5 hours. EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkk!

Also had a lovely long chat to the new lady at the clinic, (there are no doctors there, you just walk in with a perscription or tell them what you want and get your credit card out) and she said if I just bought along the name of any post mc/fertility type test that I want they will do it! Assuming it is available in this country.

So, come on ladies! What have you all had done? Whats the name of that whizzy one that checks blood clotting or something? and something to do with K-cells?? I have already had basic hormone package + CBC etc

Right I'm off to start googling...

Wombat33 · 23/09/2010 16:30

Oh gosh MummyA you're going to turn yourself into a pin cushion at this rate!

loola2shu · 23/09/2010 16:35

Haha Knitter, hope the choclate muffin did the trick!

Hi Wombat hope you're well, good luck for 2ww

MA I am impatiently waiting for 9pm and hoping its good news fx!

Izzy fab idea for the hpts, so much kinder!

yrmotb sorry you're having to have the old internal dialogue, hope that badly timed swi wasn't badly timed iyswim!

Hi to owlshoes wobble, freezing, mamap, nickster and everyone I have missed Smile

youremindmeofthebabe · 23/09/2010 16:40

Do you all know that October 15th is babyloss remembrance day? see this website which, if you click on the right side awareness day takes you to a site you can buy ribbons, and tells you when to light a candle in remembrance.

I've bought a ribbon.

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/09/2010 16:40

oooh glad some more people turned up. I was beginning to get a bit bored of my own idiocy.

The chocolate muffin was ace actually - the only good thing about the new cafe at work! And i went for a diet coke instead of tea... ooh get me with my cosmopoitan snack choices...

OP posts:
KnitterNotTwitter · 23/09/2010 16:45

MA very posh nibbles thanks - love the ones that are a bit of salmon on a blini.. my favourite.. and ooooh mini burgers.... and what's that...oh... mushroom vol au vents ... eugh...

OP posts:
KnitterNotTwitter · 23/09/2010 16:45

Hmmm that diet coke and muffin might have gone straight to my head... i've got to cycle home from work soon ... eeek...

OP posts:
youremindmeofthebabe · 23/09/2010 16:51

mummyA theres a thread on miscarriage called recurrent buns, which is for ladies who have been tested, or are in tests for multiple MC. you could hop over and ask there, or scroll through that. they seem like a friendly bunch!

loola2shu · 23/09/2010 16:52

yrmotb Thanks, have just ordered some ribbons x

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/09/2010 16:57

yrmotb I've just ordered 2 ribbons to, although I suspect DH won't wear his :(

OP posts:
youremindmeofthebabe · 23/09/2010 17:00

I ordered 5!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/09/2010 17:39

liking the shiny new thread knitter !!

YRMOTB - DD is still on half days, yes, only one more week to go after this one though then she's full time! I don't really want to be wishing the time away and I actually do really miss her when she's at school and I'm home alone, but it's really hard juggling with work etc, especially when it changes every week!

I have also ordered 2 of the baby loss ribbons, although like knitter I doubt DH will wear one; he's one of these people who thinks MCs are a private matter and shouldn't be discussed, and if we didn't talk about it we would all get over it quicker Sad. His way of coping, I guess...

mummyabroad glad it wasn't just me getting confused! I couldn't understand why you were so gutted about the constant BFPs! Fx you get some good news tonight, will be sending more positive vibes your way.

Oh and I did wonder the same about the CBFM. Am hoping the temping will help spot a pattern, failing which I'm going to try twice daily OPKs during my high days as well next cycle...wonder if I could just get work to start paying my wages direct to amazon and dodgy-sounding eBay seller and cut out the middle man?

MummyAbroad · 23/09/2010 19:03

Grin at knitter picking through the nibbles

Thanks for the link YRMOTB I read on another site that Oct is MC awareness month (I am never going to forget that either as my due date is 7th Oct) but wow, these events and organisations look really good. Makes me miss be in the first world.Sad I will be lighting a candle all the way over here and thinking of you guys.

Thanks too for the thread tip, will nip over as soon as I've finished eating this yummy vit filled muffin. Grin

Welcome teacake. Hope you're coping okay. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a miracle tomorrow, or failing that, I hope that the ERPC goes smoothly and the whole process is over and done with quickly for you.

In the meantime, I'm a bit peckish, mind if I pinch a bit of your pizza...??

MummyAbroad · 23/09/2010 19:45

welcome tunnocksteacake

Very sorry for you loss, and that you still have to get through your ERPC (its very nerve wracking before you go in, but then suddenly all over so very quickly) My feelings about TTC fluctuated madly at first, think its pretty normal. You can add yourself into the "Waiting to TTC" list anytime you like while you are deciding.xxxxxxxxxxxx

MummyAbroad · 23/09/2010 19:46

Sorry just reread that you are being scanned tomorrow before ERPC, I do so hope that you do get a miracle xxxxxxxxxxxxx

nickstermum · 23/09/2010 20:23

I have been thinking all day

nickstermum · 23/09/2010 20:25

Yo teacake glad you decided to come and join us :) sorry that you had to though. How are you doing?
