I'm also cheating :) I MC naturally on 6 Sept and had two scans and two preg tests confirm the MC was complete. I rather optimistically decided to treat day 1 of my MC bleed as day 1 of my cycle and re-started temping from then and using OPKs (the smiley face digital ones) from the day after my bleeding stopped (day 7).

To add to the tempurature data collection :):
My 'normal' temp is around 36.55. For three days before ovulation (CD 12, 13, 14) it dips to about 36.25, then on CD 15 it jumps to about 36.50-36.60 again - this is the first day I get a smiley with the OPKs. I'll then get a smiley for CD 16 and possibly 17 as well and my temp will climb again on CD 17 or 18 to about 36.70. It keeps rising for a few days after that and can get to the low 37s. It then drops once AF arrives (around CD 32). Well, that's the theory anyway. In this 'cycle' it's anyone's guess but it seems to be moving along so far.

The irritating news (literally!) is I have a really sore abdomen :( Think it may be a UTI. The doc is running some tests but now I'm worrying that if we caught/catch the egg this time (if there is an egg, who knows... but it's too late now not to worry about it) I'll end up with antibiotics at the same time - that can't be good surely! Or if they don't fiind an infection then why on earth am I soooo uncomfortable?! It doesn't help that I have no faith at all in my GP. Nicks can I have Wobble's GP when you're done? Also, any news on AF/implantation bleed/random spotting?

Wombat33 · 21/09/2010 11:28

oops sorry about the typos!

Sillyness · 21/09/2010 11:40

Wombat -what's a UTI? Sounds annoying, what you're going through as you're obviously on the case to TTC! I'm taking temperature but haven't dne OPK's (yet).

Thanks for your honesty girls!

Wombat33 · 21/09/2010 11:52

Sillyness sorry if TMI but UTI is urinary tract infection Blush. Yes, am 'on the case' to TTC, but in my case you can probably read that to mean 'completely obsessed and a totaly control freak' Grin

Wombat33 · 21/09/2010 11:54

...'and unable to type/spell today' Blush

MummyAbroad · 21/09/2010 14:58

Morning All,

I am still BFP with high temps, no AF. Have decided now I am 13DPO, thanks to some opinions from Charters Anon, which means this torture could continue for another 3 or 4 days right? OMG! THIS IS DRIVING ME SO CRAZY! I mc'd on 31 March 2010 and I STILL havent had a period!!!!

Nickster Hope yours is ovulation/normal cycles resuming, its much more likely to come quickly after a natural miscarriage isnt it? Body bounces back quicker and all that. FX you get some answers soon.

Wombat bad news about UTI (if it is) last thing you need!

nickstermum · 21/09/2010 15:20

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MumA whilst not trying to be insenitive to your lack of AF.....

I am in F*cking agony. [anger] [anger] [anger]

RTD arrived in full flow this morning and i can hardly walk..... glad its here but wish it would be nicer to me.

When i was MC'ing i had diarhoea (cant spell soz), really bad jelly legs and dizzy/faints. Yesterday i had the D, today i have v bad jelly legs and i feel as if am pissed! Unbelievable cramps...... feel as if my womb is falling out :( Havent had bad periods for years......has anyone else experienced anything like after MC? I assume its cos the womb has had a trauma/bruising? Who knows :(

The D i think maybe is caused by IBS and the hormone change, tho cant be sure. The dizz & faint could it be iron? My bp is fine. Taking spatone, sporadically. Will increase.
Blood flow is heavy (sorry TMI) Blush

wombat i thought i had UTI and went for a swab the other day... can happen post MC cant it...

Sorry in bad mood will be better when drugs have kicked in!

nickstermum · 21/09/2010 15:26

Hands off wombat hes mine Grin

Thank god better mood now, drugs of the non illicit kind!

Smile
MummyAbroad · 21/09/2010 15:27

oh Nickster you poor thing!

I have read several times that really bad AF is common after mc. Bit scared of getting AF myself for that reason.

Can you get someone to run out and get you some Really Strong painskillers? And come round and look after you?

xxxxxxxxxxx

Wombat33 · 21/09/2010 15:35

Oh Nicks sorry you're having a horrid AF. It sort of makes sense that it might be heavy after MC, but I don't know the science I'm afraid. I hope the bad bit is short lived!

On the UTI-front - humph.. Just got my results from the doc and nothing. Apparently all clear. Which would be fine if I hadn't been sitting curled up at my desk all morning, hugging my belly and counting down the minutes until I could get my results, collect my prescription and make it all go away. Humph. Maybe it is stress? It feels better in the mornings until I get up and going. Maybe it's IBS too? (Nicks I also get D with my AF, and feel faint too). Gah. What to do?? I've started another thread on the miscarriage page asking for anyone's relevant experience.

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/09/2010 15:37

Hey lovely ladies

sorry I've not been here recently - I needed a break from hearing about MC's... hope that doesn't sound too mean. Anyway I thought I'd checkback now that I'm coming up to the end of my cycle - I've told myself I'm allowed to text at the weekend... although I don't 'feel' pregnant....!

getawiggleon · 21/09/2010 16:14

Hello once again lovely ladies,

Just been lurking for a while whilst I waited for my cycle to kick back into action.

I've been spending a lot of time with my new best friend on fertility friend lately which has really helped pass the time whilst waiting for AF/Ov etc.

Anyways, the toilet-bowl-gazing and knicker dissecting (tmi) has continued unabated and despite losing myself up my own vagina unsuccessfully trying to locate my cervix it appears I ov'd a week ago. Hallelujah! I had reflexology on the saturday and according to ff and my temps, I ov'd on the monday.

Several negative opks put me on a bit of a downer though so didn't actually get round to much swi as was clearly hoping for immaculate conception too busy sulking!

Only one timely shag then but that hasn't stopped me from all manner of ridiculous symptom spotting since 5 dpo:

5DPO: tender right breast
6DPO: Cramping pains (obv implantation, right?)
7DPO: Very sensitive to smell of wet fish, esp haddock and mackerel and liable to bolt out of room if sense anyone approaching with any form of aquatic life.....

Will endeavour to plonk myself somewhere mid-ttc-list later. Sandwiched somewhere between Dachs and Sunchild looks quite cosy!

getawiggleon · 21/09/2010 16:20

ps MummyAb Is that a dip 6DPO and then a triphasic pattern I see on your chart?! I'm new to the whole thing but from what I've learned that looks quite promising ..

Wombat33 · 21/09/2010 16:24

Getawiggleon a thriphasic what?? - that sounds like all sorts of science I didn't but NEED to know!!! Please explain!!

getawiggleon · 21/09/2010 16:25

here goes then:

Wobblewatcher · 21/09/2010 16:44

Lol at Nicks and Wombat. Now now ladies, there is enough of the lovely doc to go around. Did I mention that he is totally lush also???!!!! I'm not even kidding, he is gorgeous.

When he felt my tummy yesterday my hand brushed past something which I don't think was his leg Blush Blush Blush

Sorry Nicks about your awful AF, poor you.

GAWO I see you have reflexology-I have booked myself in for my first session next week. Is it any good?

Feeling very positive today and less sorry for myself. There are worse things happening in the world and I have lots to be grateful for. Now cooking a lovely lamb dish, (it's weight watchers but you would never know)

Xxx

Wobblewatcher · 21/09/2010 16:46

OMG that last bit sounded terrible!! The 'there are worse things happening in the world' was aimed at myself, no one else!!! Sorry!!!

appleblossoms · 21/09/2010 17:11

So figured i'm just going to dive back in rather than trying to catch up!
mummya fx for some good news in the next few days, I know nothing about charting but i'm going to get excited by wiggle's suggestion that things are looking good and hope that elusive bfp appears very soon.
nicks sorry rtd's so bad :( glad you're feeling a bit better... Drugs are wonderful things! My first was very heavy and lasted over two weeks. Yuck. But they're settling down now...hated having bad AF's as it just kept reminding me of what had happened.
wobble totally get what you mean :)
I've started playing using my opks...not expecting a positive till the weekend but as i'm using cheapier thought i'd start early! Only one line so far...does anyone know, does the test line suddenly appear dark one day or is it a gradual process? Kinda enjoying learning what my bodies up to. Ds was conceived first month trying and mmc was unplanned so haven't really done the whole TTC thing properly before...

appleblossoms · 21/09/2010 17:16

wobble there was meant to be a space between knowing what you meant about looking on the bright side and the opks... My phone's a bit rubbish with layout!

hairytriangle · 21/09/2010 17:54

Um ... hello you lovelies, sorry not been around. I've kind of been feeling in the depths of despair but......I just POAS (first response, I'm on day 24)

I am, apparently, upduffed :) ConfusedGrin

Line came up straight away, and even though it's fainter than the control line, it's a definite line!

I am ECSTATIC but a teensy bit scared.

Mantra : it will all be ok it will all be ok it will all be ok.

In RL I have told my OH (of course!) and my sis (who is expecting her first IVF baby in December) but I'm not going to tell anyone else until I know that I'm ok.

Do you think the GP will do some HCG tests just to check that the hormones are rising enough for it not to be an ectopic again?

MamaPower · 21/09/2010 18:01

Hairy Wha hoooooooooo! Big congratulations hon x
I am guessing that you will be well looked after given your previous ectopic but just make sure you raise your concerns at your booking in apt!!

Waves to everyone else Smile

hairytriangle · 21/09/2010 18:05

Thank you MamaP I am so excited OMG OMG OMG!

Forty two and I have got pregnant twice in the same 12 month period!!!! I just hope and pray (although I'm not even religious - I will try anything!) that it is going to be ok, healthy etc.

Wombat33 · 21/09/2010 18:12

Hairytriangle WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's FAB news!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

hairytriangle · 21/09/2010 18:18

:) Wombat

Wobblewatcher · 21/09/2010 18:21

Wow hairy triangle congratulations!!!!!!

I'm sure your GP would do bloods, no problem. I and them with my daughter after my mmc and they were really reassuring

Happy for you!!!! Smile
